SCHOOL:
"Thank you Happy" Zhora said grabbing her backpack jumping out of the car. She made he was to her locker and seen Peter opening his own locker pulling out books.
"Hello Peter the Parker" Zhora said opening her locker as well, now that Peter had shown her how to.
"Hey, you finish the makeup work from last week" Peter greeted closing his locker and waited for Zhora so they can walk to class and meet up with Ned.
"Yes I have" Zhora replied shutting her locker and began to follow Peter to class. Only to be cut off by Flash pushing Peter out of the way to stand in front of Zhora.
"I missed you last week, hope you're feeling better?" Flash asked smirk, Peter was confused why he was being so nice to her since the last he seen her she basically threaded to beat him up.
"Yes I am doing better" Zhora answered unaware that this was strange.
"Well, I can't seem to get you out of my head since you held me to those lockers. I never knew I had a thing for dominate women, are you going to Homecoming?" Flash asked making Zhora more confused by ever word.
"What's Homecoming?" Zhora questioned with her head tilted to the side that Peter would think is so cute if he wasn't so angry that Flash was trying to ask her out.
"Oh yeah I guess you wouldn't know, you only went to all girl school before. It's a school dance" Peter lied knowing he had to ignore his annoyance to protect Zhora true nature.
"OH! Like a Ball?" Zhora said excitedly.
"Yes, like a Ball. Will you be my date?" Flash cut in asking Zhora. On one hand Peter was relieved that Flash suspected nothing, but jealous that Flash ask out his crush.
"She can't she's going with me" Peter said without a second thought. Making Flash quickly turn his head towards Peter with an annoyed look.
"No way there's no way that she's going with you?" Flash turned back to Zhora expecting her to tell him it's a lie.
"Yay Homecoming ball with Peter the Parker" Zhora cheered and hug Peter. Making Flash give Peter one last glare before leaving.
'What did I do? I just told Flash, Zhora was my date to Homecoming. She has no idea what it means to be a date to a school dance, she probably assumes we going as friends. It's not like we can just skip it and watch movies at Mr. Starks or something she seems so excited. By the end of the day Flash is going to tell the whole school she's my girlfriend. Oh no Mr. Stark going to be mad he told me not be a love sick puppy and just be her friend. He'll understand it, I did to protect her from Flash. Knowing him he'd be scared of who she truly is being too shallow cause she isn't 'Normal' and not see her beauty, her green complexion, her smile, and epically her shining purple eyes' Peter panicked thoughts hit him all at once while Zhora and him made their way into class. His thoughts started to drift thinking of nothing but Zhora. Peter barely noticed he absent mindedly took his seat, he was only tore from his thoughts as Ned throw a crumbled up piece of paper at his head.
"Earth to Peter" Ned said, while Zhora giggled at Peter shocked face.
"Sorry lost in thoughts" Peter said acting like nothing happened.
"Anyways how's your first day back Zhora" Ned asked.
"Good, Flash told me about this Ball called Homecoming. And Peter said he'd take me" Zhora happily shared with her friend.
"Oh! Really?" Ned said giving a teasing smirk to Peter who looked away with a light blush on his checks.
"Yes, you call these dates right?" Zhora asked unaware of Ned's teasing. Before Peter or Ned had a chance to respond the teacher walked in silencing the class and starting class. The rest of the day went by as normal. The end of the day came fast. Peter picked up his notebooks heading to his locker with Zhora walking along side him as always.
"Want to come hang out a bit after school?" Zhora asked Peter while packing what she needed from her locker.
"I can't today, got to hurry and get homework done to work on my Stark internship" Peter said.
"Oh yeah, You do have very important work to do" Zhora winked back a Peter.
"Oh come on Peter make time for your girlfriend, or if you are too busy I'll be happy to help you out" Flash said as he came up patting Peter hardly on the back, but being Spiderman it felt like a light poke compared to all the stuff he's been through.
"No Thank you, Flash" Peter said with some venom in his voice, while he lightly lead Zhora away from Flash and outside the school. Walking Zhora to Happy who was waiting to pick her up, saying a quick goodbye making up an excuse he was late for helping aunt May with something. To avoid an awkward conversation with Zhora at least for now. Zhora was a bit confused by Peter's quick change in mood but said goodbye like she always did with a smile.
PETER'S APARTMENT:
"How was school?" May asked relaxing on the couch since it was her day off from work and all the house chores were done.
"Fine" Peter said with a sign walking and setting his backpack by his door.
"Can I talk to you about something?" Peter said making his was over to May and sitting at the other end of the couch.
"Of course you know you can talk to me about anything" May said giving Peter her complete attention.
"Today Flash tried to ask Zhora out to homecoming, I got so jealous and told him she was going with me. I know I should have done it to protect who she is but I didn't I did cause I couldn't stand to think of him near her, now she so excited to go." Peter explained with a sigh.
"It's ok to be jealous sometimes Peter, but you said she excited to go with you?" May said trying to cheer Peter up.
"Yeah I know, but she probably thinks we're just going as friends and not a real date" Peter said with a sad expression.
"I see, the only advice I can give to you Peter is to talk to her" May said giving Peter's arm a comforting touch.
AVENGER TOWER:
Zhora walked in to the main living room of the tower lightly throwing her bag on the couch before falling onto the seat herself.
"What's with the long face kid?" Tony asked walking out of the kitchen with a cup of coffee.
"Humans are so confusing" Zhora said letting her human form fall away.
"Yes we are, I'm human myself and sometimes I don't understand my kind. Talk to me" Tony said leaning on his arms on the back of the couch looking at the skrull girl.
"today started out as a good day but then it just got more and more confusing. First this guy Flash was telling me about this thing called Homecoming it sounded fun, and he asked if I wanted to go. Then Peter said I was going with him and I was so excited. But then Peter seemed distracted all day after that, and after school Flash called me Peter's girlfriend, which seem to upset him" Zhora explained. Tony took a moment to process the information and formulate an answer for the girl.
"First off stay away from this Flash kid I don't like the sound of him, and I'm sure Peter wasn't exactly upset that you were called his girlfriend." Tony said.
"What's a girlfriend?" Zhora asked looking up at Tony.
"It's like Pepper in me, were in a serious relationship we like each other more than friend, you understand?" Tony tried to explain.
"Yes I think so, you and Pepper love each other so your girlfriends" Zhora said.
"No, No. Yes we love each other, but Pepper's my girlfriend and I'm Pepper's boyfriend. But you don't have to be in love at first for you to date and become boyfriend and girlfriend. Be become boyfriend and girlfriend to see if you love each other instead of just attracted to each other. It doesn't always work out but that's normal, sometimes you learn your better as just friends. How do skrulls find their husband or wife" Tony asked in hopes to help her understand.
"All marriages are arranged by the child's parents, but I think I understand. Peter was upset because he doesn't like me more than a friend" Zhora said with sad eyes looking down.
"kid, do you like Peter more than a friend?" Tony asked the girl.
"I don't know, he makes me happy when he's around thought" Zhora said
"All I can tell you at this point is to talk to him, he's a good kid" Tony said patting the girl's green hair leaving her to think.
UNKOWN LOCATION:
"Boss, I got information on the Girl" a Grunt said
"Speak!" the Figure said.
"We followed the spider kid to a human learning center and learned of Ball" the Grunt said
"Perfect, this may be our chance to get that Skrull out of hiding" the Figure said.
