"That's where Copper and I live." Alexis says as she, Dixie, and Tod hide in the bushes close to Amos Slade's house.
"Nice spread. Could use a woman's touch." Dixie says.
"You sure this is a good idea?" Tod asks as he and Alexis look at Dixie.
"It's the only way. When Clem Clodkicker over there gets to the fair and sees Copper he'll bring him home for sure. You three get to be friends again. And I'll reclaim my rightful place in the spotlight. Hmm we just gotta figure out how to get them to follow us." Dixie says as she sees Amos in the distance.
"Not a problem." Alexis says as Dixie looks at her confused.
"How so?" Dixie asks.
"See ol' Chief there hates me. But he couldn't catch a cold in winter. And wherever Chief goes Slade follows." Tod says.
"Let's see your stuff there cowboy." Dixie says.
"And be careful." Alexis says as Tod goes out of the bushes.
"Don't worry I always am." Tod says as he goes over to Chief's barrel while Alexis stays hidden with Dixie in the bushes. A little bit later Tod comes running out of Chief's barrel with Chief right after him.
"It's that darn critter of yours." Amos shouts angrily as Tod gets Chief to chase him towards the road.
"He's got their attention now. Come on." Alexis says as she and Dixie get into Amos's truck as Amos and Tweed follow after Tod and Chief.
