Chapter 22: Fight Down Memory Lane Part 1
There was danger right now as someone had arrived. Someone who the rest of Team Phantom knew was a danger. There was silence right now as the teens stared at Danny's archenemy. His smug face raised a brow as his cape waved in the air.
"Oh, boy..." Star said as Danny was glaring at this ghost.
He had vague recollection of him from his visions/memories. He might still have some gaps in his memory, but he did remember that nothing good ever came from this Vlad guy.
"I've got a bad feeling about this..."He thought as he felt a dangerous energy circulating around him.
He still had some hesitance about the man, especially since he felt the others glaring at Vlad and he glared back.
"I get the feeling everyone hates this guy..."He whispered.
"I heard that someone was having trouble with memory loss..."Vlad said smugly.
"Don't even bother Plasmius, we already told Danny the truth..."Sam said as she aimed at him.
"About everything..."Tucker said.
"Oh, is that so?..."Vlad said with a scold.
"Yes, they did. They helped fill in all the pieces..."Danny said as he felt something intensely negative around him.
He didn't think he could ever hate at anyone other than Colette but the smirking ghost floating above him made Danny shiver and also want to assault him. He didn't think that possible.
He didn't remember a lot about this person but he knew he hated him.
"Not the very last piece..."Star thought, still a little bitter that he still doesn't have memory of them as a couple.
She didn't voice it since now is not the time to talk about whether or not they are dating. No, now is the time to kick a certain fruiloop's butt.
She just listened as her amnesiac boyfriend continued to glare at his foe.
"Yeah, I have some memory troubles so there's not a lot I know right now. I know that you're Vlad Masters, mayor and supervillain..."Danny said before he glared at the blue skinned ghost.
"I also know that you are supposed to be some fruitloop who hits on my mom and tries to get me to join you while destroying my dad. For the record, the answers still no..."The amnesiac boy said coldly.
Vlad sneered at him in fury after hearing what he said. He was hoping for the chance to try and take advantage of his amnesia in order to convince him to join him but due to his minions bumbling, he couldn't even do that.
"You simpleminded fool! It seems that amnesiac or not, you are still an irritatingly noble little boy scout..."Vlad said.
"I happen to like that about him..."Star said in defense.
"Same here..." Sam added.
"Ditto..."Jazz said and Tucker nodded in agreement.
Vlad merely rolled his eyes as he turned to his young foe.
"Oh well, I was going to try and get you to join me, but it seems that I must do this the hard way..."Vlad said as he raised a hand that was glowing to the teen. "I think now is the part where you surrender and let me take those robots in your brain..."He said arrogantly but the ghost boy stood his ground.
"No way, I already had to deal with jerks trying to take advantage of my memory loss. I am not giving you what you want and let you get away with whatever you want these things for. So beat it, Fruitloop!..."Danny said.
Vlad sneered further at that.
"Insolent child, even with amnesia you continue to be such a fool. No matter, after I reclaim the microvoyagers from your skull, by tomorrow, you and your mother will be under my control..."Vlad said in a sinister way.
"Not a chance, Fruitloop!..."Danny said in anger.
Vlad's eye twitched before he rose into the air.
"Oh little badger, it's time that I erase more than your memories..."He said as his fists glowed.
"Bring it, Cheesehead!..."Danny said as he did the same.
The two ghosts charged at each other, ready to brawl.
Meanwhile
In another part of town
There were still plenty of ghosts taking advantage of their biggest enemy's condition and spreading chaos all over town.
Johnny and Kitty were currently causing trouble at a department store, Spectra stole a bunch of beauty products from the women's section, Desiree was looking to grant wishes, Technus has taken over an appliance store for another mecha and Youngblood has taken over a nearby toy store.
"Isn't this the best, Babe?..."Johnny asked as he observed his girlfriend looking over some dresses.
"Totally..."Kitty said as she admired some earrings from the jewelry section.
They weren't the only ones enjoying this entire Phantom-free day, as the rest of the ghosts were enjoying their day off from him interfering with their plans.
"This day is almost as beautiful as I am..."Spectra said as she admired her appearance in the mirror she stole.
"Maybe we can haunt that cafe down the street later..."Her assistant said.
"Hmm...that sounds like a wish come true to me..." Desiree said as she used her magic to make some mannequins comes to life and had them ransack a jewelry store for her.
"Sounds marvelous, I could go for that..."Penelope added.
It was now Youngblood noticed some ghosts absent.
"Guys, where are Ember, Skulker, Walker and the others?..." The child-like ghost asked.
"Skulker's still gone, Walker's probably trying to lock up ghosts trying to come here, Ember's probably at that music store or whatever..."Johnny said, not really caring.
"What about the Box Ghost?..." Youngblood asked.
It took them a moment, but all of the ghosts burst into laughter.
"Who cares about that buffoon? That moron isn't worth worrying about..."Spectra scoffed and the others agreed with her.
The only time he was ever an actual threat was when he stole Pandora's box and, even then he was still taken down easily.
"Exactly..." Bertrand added, still laughing.
Once they stopped, they went back to their ransacking, taking full advantage of the fact that their enemy was not getting involved due to him dealing with amnesia.
"Nothing can ruin this..."Johnny said as he took a motorcycle helmet to try on.
It was then the sound of someone running into the shopping center, screaming out caught their attention. It was the ghost known as Baby Face Boyle, who broke out of Walker's prison a week ago and used this invasion as an excuse to get out of the Ghost Zone.
"Guys! Guys! Did you hear?! Danny Phantom is back!..." He shouted.
This caught their attention, causing a whole lot of them to turn their heads in disbelief. As well as anger.
"What was that?!..." Desiree asked.
"You're serious?..." Technus asked and Boyle nodded.
"Yeah, I am. I heard from Poindexter that he and his team are rounding up ghosts. Even Ember got sucked into that thermos of his some time ago..." Boyle explained.
That got a bunch of them to look increasingly annoyed upon hearing this.
"He got his memory back already?!..."Spectra shouted in annoyance.
"So much for a Phantom-free day on the town..."Johnny said as he let out an annoyed grunt while Kitty pouted.
"Bummer, we didn't even get to visit the movie theater yet..."She complained.
"Great... just when it was getting fun..." Bertrand grumbled.
All but one of them sighed in disappointment. It was Spectra, who pondered a bit before an idea sprung up.
"Maybe this day doesn't have to end so quickly..." She suggested.
That got the other's attention.
"What do you mean?..."Technus asked.
"I mean get involved in his trip down memory lane. Plus, I doubt he remembers everything. It's too soon for him to remember everything if he was indeed hit by those tiny robots Johnny was hired to take. He probably doesn't remember us that well yet..."Spectra hinted and her assistant smirked as he realized what she is suggesting.
"Right... let's make sure of that..."He said in a dark tone before he and Penelope flew off.
Once they were gone, the rest of the ghosts just stared.
"Does anyone have any idea what they're talking about?..."Desiree asked.
"Nope..."Technus said as he looked around.
"Not one bit..."Kitty said.
Johnny then took the helmet with him and whistled for his motorcycle, which Shadow brought for him.
"I think they want to get rid of the little punk..." He said before he smirked.
All of the ghosts smiled evilly before Kitty pondered something
"Can we at least stop at the café first?..." She asked.
"Oh yeah, sure. No sense in destroying him if we're thirsty, after all..."Johnny said.
The others thought about it and agreed with nodding.
Back to the battle
Team Phantom were still fighting against Vlad.
Despite the memory loss, Danny managed to hold his own against the more experienced halfa. It helps that he had plenty of backup. His friends and sister kept their distance, pelting Vlad with a barrage of blasts that he had to block or deflect. Either way, they weren't making a good enough hit to knock him out.
Danny flew in after Vlad, intent to knock him out. Vlad recovered before he unleashed a blast at Danny's team.
"I know you don't remember, so I'll fill you in. I'm stronger than you!..." Vlad sneered at Danny.
"I'm guessing that didn't stop me from kicking your butt..." Danny said as he swung his first, but Vlad caught it and threw him to the ground.
"As always, you are so predictable..."Vlad mocked.
"Then let me try to be more original!..."Danny yelled as he was back on his feat and flying back into the fight.
In response, Vlad flew to his foe and both of them fought in the sky, trading blows, blocking and avoiding as fast as they could. Danny's Team surrounded him.
"Just give it up, you're outnumbered..."Danny said, only for the villain to laugh at that.
"I wouldn't say I'm outnumbered, Daniel. I have a certain power, remember?..." The villain mocked as he suddenly spit into four copies.
Danny was a little taken back, but Team Phantom wasn't so much.
"Uh… did you guys wanna fill me on how he can do that?..." Danny said.
All of them shared looks of realizing they left that out.
"Sorry…" They said to him.
"A bit too late..." Danny muttered.
"If it helps, you can kinda do that too but you only managed to do it a few times..."Jazz said.
"Okay, good to know..." Danny said, looking back to the copies.
Too bad he can't remember how to do that, nor had the time to learn it. Vlad, meanwhile, wasn't going to give him time to remember anything else.
"Deal with his little entourage, I will handle Daniel..." The original ordered.
Three of Vlad's copies went to the rest of the group, leaving Danny with the original.
Star swung her weapon and Sam fired the wrist ray at one of the Vlad copies. While Tucker and Jazz tried to keep their distance in firing at two of them. However, the three were technically of one mind and had better teamwork.
One of the Vlad copes blocked the blasts while the others went on the offensive. They would rush them, making them scatter.
"Theoretically, each copy should only be 1/4th as powerful as the real one..." Jazz said.
"Considering normal Vlad is already too much for us, I don't think a quarter of him would be that easy..." Sam said flatly.
"I don't think she meant that this was going to be easy..." Star stated as they avoided a copy's attacks.
It was not easy. Not at all.
"We're definitely not going to make this easy..." The Vlad copy said smugly to the teenagers.
The teenagers readied their weapons.
"Bring it!..." Jazz went as they went to deal with the copies.
Meanwhile
Danny was busy fighting the original Vlad, in the air and trading blows. Each hit, Danny's body was reacting on its own. It was like his body knew what to do before he did.
"It's almost like I don't need to think..." He thought, feeling like he was on auto-pilot as he kept getting faster.
During this fight, Vlad was seething on the inside.
"If it wasn't for those fools I have for minions, Daniel would either be destroyed or my minion by now. No matter, I will get what I came for..."Vlad thought in anger.
Danny saw an opening and threw a punch. Vlad backhanded Danny's fist before it could connect.
"Do you really think you can win?..."The villain said.
"I only need to make sure you lose..."The young hero fired back before sending another blast.
Vlad deflected it and decided to fly in with his fist raised. Danny raised a shield to protect himself.
"You say that like it would be possible..." Vlad said.
Danny flew back when his shield started to power down, avoiding the beam.
"I'm kind of wishing I could just forget only you..." Danny said.
Vlad growled at that. As angry as he was, he still tried to make things easier for him. Or at least get what he wants quicker.
"Daniel, this is your last chance join me. Stand down and I will help you remember everything..."Vlad offered once more.
Danny just sent him another dirty look. He didn't think he could ever meet someone, anyone, so smug but it seems Vlad really is that arrogant.
"No way. I might not remember everything but I do know that I shouldn't trust you..."Danny said, staying firm.
Vlad frowned again before he sent a vile smirk to his young foe.
"Very well. If you won't join me, Daniel. Then I'll have to take those robots, by breaking you open if need be..."Vlad said in a sinister tone. "Either way, I will get what I want..."He said arrogantly.
"Don't bet on it, Fruitloop..."Star said in anger as she used an extra blast and managed to blast him in the back.
Vlad felt it and growled.
"You insufferable little brat, you will pay for that!..."Vlad said, still hating her for being the first one to capture him in that accursed thermos.
"Stay away from her!..."Danny said protectively.
"Try and stop me, little badger!..."Vlad yelled.
"I'm not afraid of you, Vlad..."Star said in an unfraid way.
"You should be, little girl..."Vlad said as he smirked menacingly as he flew at her.
He sent blasts at her but Star used her cheerleading prowess and barely managed to dodge them.
"And Manson thinks cheerleading is a waste..."She thought as she pulled out her saber and began to swing it again.
Despite her skill, the older halfa still had the advantage, dodging the attacks like child's play. Though in his arrogance, one swing landed, on his face.
Star smirked.
"So much for your million dollar smile..."Star said in a quip.
"And so much for your life!..."Vlad shouted as he lunged forward, about to send a barrage of blasts at Star.
However, since Vlad was distracted by Danny flying in and readying a punch, landing his fist on the other side of the man's face before launching an ecto-blast.
"And so much for your threat..."Danny shot back as Star thrust her weapon into Vlad's chest, hurting him.
Vlad snarled in rage, placing a hand on his chest.
"I guess this is getting too exciting for you if your heart can't take it!..."Star said in a quip.
"It's about to get more "exciting" girl!..."Vlad quipped back as he directed his attention to her.
Danny's foot came kicked into his face due to his attention being on Star. He glared at his foe.
"I said stay away from her!..."Danny said seriously.
"Must you be so protective?..."Vlad scoffed.
"Beats being so bitter about life..."Star said with a glare, though still appreciating that Danny was worried for her.
"I'll show you bitter!..."Vlad irritated by those words, fired again.
He sent blast after blast at Star, keeping her on the evasive.
Danny didn't bother thinking at the moment. He looked over his shoulder and saw Star looking to him, worried for him more than herself. He didn't know why, but something just went off in his head.
Without thinking, Danny fired his beams at Vlad, who dodged.
"You aim is as good as your father's, and because you can't remember, I mean that as an insult..."The villain taunted.
Angered, Danny squinted his eyes and felt something trying to get out. Blue beams came out of his eyes and froze Vlad in ice. Vlad had a look of surprise before the ice hit the ground.
Danny only blinked a moment, surprised by this.
"Wait? I have ice powers?..." He asked.
"Yes, you do..." Star said as she pulled out the thermos. "Now for this part..."She said, aiming it at the older halfa.
However, Vlad was able to break out through strength alone and flew away from the blast. Vlad avoided getting sucked into that accursed thermos and aimed at Star. He sent a blast that knocked it it out of her hands.
"Hey!..."Star yelped before she pulled out her saber again.
Vlad merely smirked.
"Is that all you can do?..."Vlad mocked. "Let's see how you do against a real challenge..."He said as he readied his hands for a blast.
"Sure, have you seen one around?..." Star quipped before leaping at Vlad.
She smirked confidently as she then her saber again before she swung at Danny's worst enemy again and again. Unfortunately for her, Vlad blocked and every attack and barely broke a sweat during the fight. Star might be good at ghost hunting but Vlad had more experience.
More than anyone trying to take him down right now.
"I really wish we had more back up..."Star thought as she tried to land a hit.
Vlad charged his fist and aimed at the blonde girl.
"Begone, pest!..." He shouted before his fist hit the blade as it caused a small boom to go off, pushing them back.
The small explosion knocked Star on the ground.
"Star!..."Danny shouted in concern and fury.
Worried for Star, Danny tried to fly in to help but before he could intervene and help, a doppelgänger of Vlad's phased out of the ground and punched him in the chin.
"AH!..."Danny yelped.
"Now now, Little Badger. Let's not interfere..."Vlad mocked, forcing Danny to be distracted.
Danny's eyes glowed green as he pushed the Vlad doppelgänger off of him and blasted him. He then tried to rescue Star.
"I'm coming!..." Danny called out.
Vlad got in the way and raised a shield, blocking the blasts and backhanded him.
"Really Daniel, I know that you have amnesia but you're getting predictable..."The ghost villain taunted.
The ghostly villain was about to attack but a blast out of nowhere hit him in the back, making him collapse on the ground.
Danny was surprised.
"Who did that?!..." He asked.
"That'd be me!..."A new, familiar voice was heard.
One that Star was happy to hear.
The heroes and villain turned around and saw who came to the battle. It was Valerie, in her red huntress gear and she looked pretty ticked off. After all, this is the person who took advantage of her grudge for months.
"You!..."Vlad yelled.
"Yeah me, creep!..."Valerie said as she aimed her bazooka at him.
Tucker and Sam were glad to be wearing their disguises. Star was actually happy to see her best friend right now and thankful that she wasn't after Danny Phantom. She also looked ready to rip Vlad apart.
"I had a feeling that you were behind this ghost invasion Plasmius and now I'm going to take you down!..."Valerie said as she aimed her weapon at him.
Vlad merely rolled his eyes at this.
"Oh, please. You might be a threat to other ghosts but your still an insect compared to me..."He said.
"Let's prove you wrong!..."Valerie shouted as she aimed her weapons at her "boss", firing a barrage of missiles at him.
Vlad swerved and dodged the missiles. He looked annoyed more than anything.
"A shame I can't talk to her as the mayor to get her to stand down..."He thought. "Oh well, I guess I'll just to find a new easily manipulated, teenage pawn..."He thought.
He fired a blast that Valerie countered with a missile that blocked it from hitting her, causing a lot of smoke to block their view of each other for a bit. Valerie glared at him, before turning her attention to a certain partially amnesiac ghost boy. Before she could do anything, Vlad tried to fire a blast to incapacitate his little pawn.
However, before it could hit Valerie, Danny reacted on instinct and intercepted and redirected it.
"You all right?..."Danny asked as he turned to Valerie.
"I am. Thanks, Phantom..." Valerie admitted, surprising Tucker and Sam.
"Did Valerie just thank Danny?..."Tucker thought, surprised.
"What's her angle?..."Sam thought, suspicious.
Star, on the other hand, had a thought.
"I think she's definitely catching on..."She thought, concerned.
Danny looked to Valerie and he knew that she is suppose to be familiar to him.
"Uh...thanks for the save. I owe you, Red...Huntresss?..."He said confused.
Valerie inched closer to him, putting a hand to her mouth.
"You might not remember much of it, but we had a truce made. Not that HE knows..."Val explained in a whisper, not wanting Vlad to know.
"We did?..."Danny questioned
"Yeah, we did. So, let's go after this creep..."Val said as she cocked her blaster again.
Danny nodded before he turned to his team.
"Let's get him!..."He said.
Before his team could figure out what just happened, Vlad got up and shook off the damage like it was nothing.
"That all?..."The villain said, with a cocky grin.
Danny and Valerie narrowed their eyes at that. Danny looked to Vlad and sent him another glare.
"Give it up Plasmius, you aren't going to win..."He said.
To his surprise, Vlad only smirked again.
"Oh, little badger...haven't you learned by now that I always have a plan..."Vlad said as he grinned wickedly.
However, before he could do something, Valerie fired a blast from her jet sled, knocking him down.
"HAH!..." Valerie went.
Vlad got up and attempted to split, but nothing happened. At the same time, his copies suddenly disappeared, much to the surprise of Team Phantom.
"What on Earth?!..."The villain exclaimed.
"Don't even bother with duplicating again. You can't..."Val said seriously.
"What?!..." He asked in disbelief.
"Something I was working on in case we met again. It cancels out your copies for 5 minutes, which is more than enough time..."Val explained.
The ghost boy saw that his foe indeed couldn't split again and grinned.
"Cool..."Danny admitted.
"Thanks..." Valerie said before she let out a breath in tiredness.
"I would have shown up earlier but there were more ghosts to handle on the way..." She said.
"That sounds tiring..." He said.
"It is..." Valerie said. "But it's worth it..."She said and the ghost boy nodded.
Danny sent Vlad another glare.
"Looks like you've lost your big advantage..." The ghost boy said.
"Oh, Daniel..."Vlad said in a lecturing tone. "If you played chess, you'd know how to think three steps ahead..."He said in a confident tone.
Danny wondered what he meant by that. To his surprise, the ghostly villain decided to play one of the aces he had up his sleeve. Vlad then grinned as he pulled out something from behind his belt.
Danny blinked at the sight of it.
It was a blaster, one that Team Phantom has never seen before. It was one that looked something like a rifle, but much more high-tech looking.
Valerie only scoffed.
"A blaster?..." Valerie asked.
"Not for you..." Vlad said as he turned to the ghost boy.
"Even with your full memories, you wouldn't be able to grasp how dangerous this particular weapon is. One shot of this and you'll be powerless to defend yourself..."Vlad said as he pointed his blaster at Danny.
"Too bad you're dealing with me first!..." Valerie shouted before flying to Vlad via her jet.
However, he ducked the attack and grabbed it from behind.
"I need to have a talk with an old friend..." Vlad said as he tossed her away.
"WHOA! WHOA! WHOA!..." Valerie shouted as she went straight into the trees.
"Valerie!..."Star shouted in concern for her friend.
That's when Vlad made his move. He fired at Danny.
"GGAAAHHH!..." Danny went as he hit the ground.
Star gasped in horror at the sight of it.
"DANNY!..." She shouted, worried for him.
Everyone else saw this and were horrified while Plasmius laughed in mockery at the sight of Danny cringing on the ground.
"W-What was that?!..." The ghost boy managed to ask.
"This blaster is powered by something I found months ago. It's called ectoranium, it's hazardous to ghosts. So… I had this made for Daniel and anyone else who goes through walls and gets in my way..." Vlad said and the ghost boy didn't like the sound of that.
Vlad smirked as he prepared to reuse his weapon. It took a while to finish his secret weapon in the event of taking over the Ghost Zone, so Danny is the perfect practice dummy. However, his friends, sister and pesky girlfriend were not as vulnerable, so he needed to get them out of his way.
Vlad then rose his hands when he saw them coming towards him. Not wanting them getting in the way, he rose his hand and fired a blast at them.
"Jump away!..." Star shouted as she used her athleticism to jump out of the way.
The others, not as physically fit as her, were not so lucky. Vlad's blast hit the ground trapping them in a dome construct.
"What the heck?!..."Sam shouted as she pounded her fists on it but nothing happened.
"No worries, my dome lasts only 5 minutes, which is 4 more than I need..."Vlad said to mock them.
"Uh oh!..." Jazz said as they started hitting the barrier.
"Let us out!..." Sam demanded but was ignored.
Star, meanwhile, was free and saw what Vlad was about to do. Danny tried to get on all four, but when he looked up, he saw Vlad aiming his weapon.
"That was just the blaster at 20%. I would play with you and use it at 50%... but in case you don't remember it either, I'm not very patient…" Vlad said as he aimed. "Still, the scientist in me is curious to the effects and I also don't want to risk damaging what I came for, so 99% should work..."He said.
He aimed the blaster at the ghost kid. Danny struggled to get up, but only got halfway as Vlad was about to pull the trigger. Sam, Tucker and Jazz were still trapped and couldn't help, but one wasn't.
Star saw this and panicked. She could only think of one thing.
"How dare he try and hurt my Danny-Boo?!..."She thought in fury.
She chose to save him in an unorthodox method. As in, she used her weapon in a way it wasn't meant to be used.
"DANNY!..." Star shouted as she threw her weapon.
It spun until the energy blade when into the blaster's barrel, plugging it.
Vlad gasped in horror.
"Accursed girl!..." He shouted as he tried to pry it out, but it was too deep in and the handle was inside. All he could touch was the part that stung him.
"NO! It's too deep in!..."He yelled.
Danny only blinked as Star helped him up.
"You... saved me? You threw your weapon for me?..." He asked, almost in awe.
Star smiled and nodded.
"Of course. That's what you'd do for me..." She said, still smiling at him.
Hearing that caused something in Danny's head to flash.
He recalled something...something familiar.
He recalled seeing her, in this same jumpsuit, fighting ghosts with that weapon.
He recalled seeing her in a silver suit with a black domino mask for some reason but she also fought well.
He recalled her using the Fenton Thermos on Vlad.
He also remembered looking happy, proud, but also rather warm in the face at these times.
"All those times… about her…I think-..."Danny's thought were cut off as Vlad's blaster got his attention again.
"It's overheating!..."The villain yelled.
His blaster shaking faster and more violently, Vlad could only stare in growing fear.
"Oh... Fudge biscuits!..."He mumbled.
It blew in his face, quite literally.
The explosion sent Vlad away several feet, the energy of ectoranium shocking him as he cringed on the floor. He dropped the destroyed remains of his weapon onto the ground, looking rather miffed.
"NO! Do you have ANY idea how hard that element is to find on Earth?! Much less how long it took to make that thing?!..." Vlad shouted.
"Oops. Sorry, Fruitloop…" Star said sarcastically with a glare at him.
Danny smirked, feeling better now that the effects of the ectoranium wrote off. Sam, Tucker and Jazz were set free, as Vlad's exposure to ectoranium weakened him made his barrier fade away. They all looked rather smug.
"So much for your toy, Plasmius..."Danny said.
"Send us the bill..."Sam added sarcastically before she aimed her wrist-ray.
To their surprise, the ghostly villain merely got up and looking only mildly annoyed.
"I may be upset, but I'm not done yet. It looks like I'll have to use this as a last resort..." Vlad said as he pulled it out.
Danny raised a brow at the sight of the device in Vlad's hands.
It looked to be a remote control of some kind.
"A remote?..."Danny questioned. "What are you gonna do, mute us?!..."He demanded.
"In a way..."Vlad mocked. "Now, I must kill 5 minutes of time at the least before it finally links up and I claim total victory. I'd say how I'm about to destroy you but it looks like you'll be busy with some old friends..."The villain taunted as he noticed something coming from the distance.
"Old friends?..."Danny questioned, confused.
That is when his ghost sense activated, signalling what is about to happen.
All around Danny, ghosts appeared. They all looked ready to fight and all of them had matching smirks as they saw Danny, who had a confused look on his face with no recognition.
Though he had a feeling that the "friend" thing was said in sarcasm since they didn't look too friendly.
"I don't know who these guys are but I I get the feeling they're not here to say hi..."He thought.
Even if he can't remember everything, he had that bad feeling about the way they were looking at him.
A very bad feeling.
