Zen took out the Cerberus with a lot of difficulty, and gained 1 level after. He also gained the key into the tower, a necklace that increased his agility by 20 and his sense by 20, and a fang from it. He equipped it and was happy with his stat boosts.
"Manager Yin Chul."
"What is it?" Manager Chul, a man with blonde slicked back hair, asked his assistant. "A moment? 8 people were killed in a C Rank Dungeon. The survivors were a D Rank and an E Rank. And I know you will say that they probably ran away, but the boss was finished." If Chul was not fully invested before, the last comment got him interested.
"The D Rank, Jin Yung, had high class equipment, so it was possible that the boss was killed by him. The boss shouldn't have caused much trouble, so it is odd that there has been 8 killed." The assistant informed.
"Get on with your point. If this was a normal case, you'd just deal with it without telling me." Chul bluntly replied.
"...The other survivor was Zen Han, the survivor of the Double-Lair." The assistant fully caught his bosses attention. "While that is intriguing, We have already checked with him once, no reason to check again." Chul knew his superiors wouldn't find it good to recheck Zen's energy levels.
"While I would normally agree with you, one of the Hunters was 'Hang Donguk.'" The assistant responded.
"Are you speaking of Hang Dongsu's older brother? In that case...I can't let this slide." Chul stood up, ready to tell his workers what to do.
Zen was eating with his younger sister. They were eating good old chicken.
"I'll be right back." Zen got up and left to another room, but before he did, he heard his sister speak. "I'm gonna eat your food, and your ice cream!" She laughed like a child. "Go ahead, I won't make you more food though." He heard a slight gasp before he closed his door. He looked at his skills and stopped at Yeon Hon Principle.
"Can this... heal Mom? She has far more than a simple mental problem, or a simple illness. I have been given this power for a reason... and yet... I don't feel as if Gaia has given me this." Zen clenched his fist as he looked at his skills and then thought about how he looked. "I shouldn't be thinking about this like it's my life responsibility... but without Dad, it's my job to keep Mom safe."
"Eternal Sleep. Mom has a sickness that causes her to sleep, and that has been around since gates opened... I have to wake her up." Zen shook his head and focused up, "I need to keep my head in the game right now, I certainly need to see more healing, before I can try anything out." Zen heard his sister walking towards the door, so he went silent until she knocked.
"Do you know someone named...Jin Yung?" She asked as Zen. shook his head, "Who?" He asked. "He's calling for you on the phone, he's saying 'Sir Zen.'" She explained.
Zen answered the phone and only picked up an address before Jin hung up. Zen made sure to refer the information to his little sister and made his way to meet Jin.
Zen entered to see Jin waiting for him. "Sir, over here!" Jin waved at Zen.
Zen sat down, his hood still on because of the rain, and started speaking to Jin.
"How'd you find my number?" Zen asked as he crossed his fingers through each other. "I have connections in the Guild." Jin sat down and faced his saviour. "Would you like some coffee?" Jin offered, only to get a quick responce, "I'm fine." Zen replied.
"I didn't expect to meet you again." Zen bluntly told Jin. "You're my savior." Jin told Zen.
"Well, you shared all the magic crystals with me, so I earned a nice amount of money from that." Zen remembered collecting 1 million and 8 thousand Won from the crystals he turned in.
"Also, since you kept quiet, there haven't been any problems." Zen's golden eyes glowed, just a little bit. "W-Well of course! They were trying to kill us. We're Hunters, so we must protect ourselves. It was a matter between Hunters." Jin watched his words, and thought about what he was saying. "This man is a False Ranker, A maniac who loves to kill and murder people! I should normally stay far away from these types of people." Jin thought.
"So, why did you want to meet me?" Zen asked the question on his mind as Jin got serious and grabbed onto his legs to stop himself from faltering. "Sir... I want to make a personal attack force-" Jin didn't get to finish before Zen spoke up. "Declined."
"B-But I didn't even get to finish my sentence!" Jin complained. "I don't need to hear it all. You're creating an attack force and want me to join." Zen got up from his seat and prepared to leave. "S-Sir!" Jin pleaded.
"I was wondering what it was, but I don't have any plans on playing with a rich kid. If there is nothing else, I plan on leaving." Zen continued to walk away, not giving Jin tine to do anything.
"Just 20 times! No, please go with me for 19 times!" Jin yelled out as he caught Zen's attention.
"Where, a dungeon?" Zen asked.
"Yes! You'll get your fair share of money." Jin started slowly reeling Zen in.
"You should know based on the last incident, Hunters don't just kill monsters, but other Hunters as well. Are you in the right mind to say that after seeing such a gruesome scene? Wait... Are you... trying to become a guildmaster?" The information clicked in Zen's head, and it all made sense.
"Yes, Sir!" Zen prepared to leave again, but Jin grabbed onto him, and begged him to stay.
"As you thought, I want to get a license to become a guild master. I just have to go through 20 missions, and I already just went through 1. I just need 19 more." Jin explained.
"Thinking about it, you are the Yung's second child." Zen figured out.
"Correct, the company actually has a lot to deal with this too." Jin stated. "I assume because of the wealth that come from dungeons, that the company wishes to become self sufficient." Zen guessed.
"That's correct, sir! My father plans on employing an S Rank who will be the Master and having my older brother as the Vice-Master." Jin further explained.
"So you plan on getting experience then you'll consult your father?" Zen asked.
"Correct Sir! And with the fact that you're a false Ran... You hide your abilities, you'll need an attack force! The achievement for beating a mission with an E Rank is much better than beating one with an S or A Rank!" Jin exclaimed.
"Sir is at least a B Rank, maybe even higher. If I said with incompetent Hunters, I might die, but with Sir I'm guaranteed to live! He may seem cruel, but he saved me from the spider boss and from Donguk!" Jin thought.
"And what does this help me with?" Zen asked for his side of the situation.
"This." Jin handed Zen some papers. Zen was confused at first, but then grabbed the papers. Zen's eyes widened when he looked at the papers.
"Why are you following me out?" Zen stretched with his sister, getting ready to do his daily quest.
"You seem like your on your high horse, and besides, it's not good to be sitting at that desk all day." Jino stretched with Zen, preparing to run.
"Alright, just don't fall behind." The two began jogging together, then Zen started speaking.
"Jino, what would you do if you hypothetically got 3 billion Won, what would you do?" Zen suddenly asked.
"Well, I'd move to a bigger house, may be put some in deposits?" Jino thought, beginning to get tired from the running while Zen wasn't breaking a sweat.
"Well... Isn't 3 billion a bit unrealistic?" Jino asked, not wrapping her head around all that money. Zen looked off in thought, then sped off.
"It's not that... unrealilistic."
"Brother! Zen! Don't leave me!" Jino yelled, but Zen was far out of hearing range before she could catch enough breath to yell.
"3 billion won?" Zen asked. "It's about the amount we plan on spending on the Guild building, but as time goes on, it will rise."
Zen thought for a moment, knowing that because of how he could get money from bosses that soon 3 billion Won would become irrelevant.
"On one condition." Zen bargained. Jin listened intently to Zen's conditions. "Me and you. No one else goes."
Jin was struck by fear for just a moment, fear of Zen's confidence. "Doesn't that mean that we'll be clearing C Rank dungeons by ourselves?!" Jin asked.
"Yes. You understood perfectly." Zen answered concisely. "But to enter into a C Rank Dungeon, we need 10 people at least!" Jin told Zen, which he had an easy solution for. "If we offer a reward for just filling in spots, people will be lining up. We're using the same method as Donguk." Zen explained.
"But isn't it too dangerous sir?!" Jin asked, not that confident in the two abilities. Zen sighed before explaining further, "You can't put two and two together. Think about it, if you made it out of 19 raids on your own, you'll look much better." Zen explained.
"Ah, I see! I'll start recruiting people right now!" Jin exclaimed before Zen left.
"Send me the information on the survivors. "
"Mister Hang, what are you doing this hour?" Hang Dongsu's secretary stood in his doorway, with her notepad in her hand.
"Lola, can I ask you something?" Dongsu asked. "Anything, Sir." Lola replied. "What happens if I kill someone in Korea?" Dongsu was turned away from Lola, so she couldn't read if he was serious or not.
"Are you serious?" Lola began to get nervous when she got no response. "You would have a trial in America, and because of your strong spot, there would be no problems." Lola explained to her superior, slightly shaking in nervousness.
"Thank goodness. Some bastards killed my brother, and I won't be satisfied until they're dead and gone!"
Hang Dongsu
S Rank Hunter
Scavenger Guild
"When can you set aside some free time?" Dongsu asked Lola. "Around 2 weeks from now." Lola replied.
"Yes sir. Do you think it'll be okay?" Lola asked of her superior's opinion.
"More than anything, I hope those bastards are still alive after two weeks."
