Third Person POV

Ian sat in chemistry class next to Doug when Evie walked in. Upon recognizing the two boys, she decided to go up to them at their shared lab table. When he noticed her coming over, Ian nudged Doug with a smirk on his face.

"Looks like your crush is coming over here." Ian said, causing doug to turn red.

"I don't have a crush on her, Ian."

"Yeah, and your father's not the silent dwarf." He said sarcastically before Evie stopped at the table.

"This seat taken?" She asked.

"No, you're good." Evie took a seat and soon after, the teacher arrived and began the lecture. Halfway through class, the two boys noticed Evie staring directly at Chad Charming.

"Any chance he's in line for a throne? Anywhere in line?" She asked with a breathy voice.

"Chad. Prince Charming, Jr. Cinderella's son." Doug told the blue royal.

"Yep. Chad inherited the charm, but not a lot of there there, know what I mean?" Ian said, rolling his eyes.

"Looks like there there to me." She said, still distracted by Chad.

"Evie." The teacher, Mr. Deley, suddenly called on her, slightly startling her as he got her attention. "Perhaps this is just review for you. So tell me, what is the average atomic weight of silver?"

"Atomic weight? Uh, well, not very much. I mean, It's an atom, right?" Evie answered as if she had no idea what was being spoken about. She acted as if she was much less smarter than she really was because her mother told her the only two things she would need in her life were a prince and her looks. Because of this, she often acted ditzy around certain guys. After getting a look from Mr. Deley, she stood up and walked toward the chalkboard. She discreetly took put her magic mirror and held it to where he couldn't see the screen.

"Let's see. How do I find the average atomic weight of silver? That would be 106.905 times .5200, plus 108.905 times .4800, which, Mr. Deley, would give us 107.9 amu." She explained with the mirror's assistance.

""Amu"?" The boys muttered to themselves.

"I forget. Always a mistake to underestimate..."

"A villain? Don't make it again." She told him before handing him back the chalk. As she turned to go back to her seat, Chad slipped a note into her hand. Evie stared at him dreamily before opening the note. Meet me under the bleachers at 3. Evie looked up at Chad and nodded before continuing to stare.

"Okay. Carlos, we're gonna do some sprints. You ready?" Ben asked when the kid showed up to his private practice. He started his timer, but as Carlos started running, Carlos heard a dog barking, which obviously freaked him out, causing him to run way faster. Ben stopped the timer, not noticing Carlos run right past him into the woods.

"Carlos? Carlos!" He finally realized what was happening and chased after him.

"Ben?! Ben, help me! This thing is a killer! He's gonna chase me down and rip out my throat. This is a vicious, rabid pack animal!" Carlos said as he points down at the animal.

"Hey, who told you that?" Ben asked as he picked up the dog.

"My mother." He told him as if it wasn't very obvious.

"Cruella?"

"She's a dog expert. A dog yellerer. Why are you holding him? He's gonna attack you!"

"Carlos, you've never actually met a dog, have you?"

"Of course not."

"Dude, meet Carlos. Carlos, this is dude. He's the campus mutt."

"He doesn't look like a vicious, rabid pack animal." Carlos said as he finally came down from the tree he was in. "Jeez. You're a good boy, aren't you? You're a good boy." He said as Ben slowly passed Dude to him.

"I guess you guys have it pretty rough on the island." Ben said, seeing how anxious Carlos still seemed.

"Yeah. Let's just say we don't get a lot of belly rubs."

"Good boy." Ben told him, patting his shoulder before he realized what he had actually said. "I mean, you're a good runner. You're... you're fast, you know."

"Oh. Yeah. Thank you."

"Yeah. Listen, We're gonna give you guys some space, yeah? You guys get to know each other and just, you know, come find me when you're done, okay? Okay. I'll see you later."

"See you out there." Carlos said as he sat down a log, still holding Dude. "Hi. Hi. Oh! Thank you." He said after Dude licked his face.

"Is everybody at home as pretty as you?" Chad asked Evie as he led her underneath the bleachers by the tourney field.

"I like to think I'm the fairest of them all. How many rooms in your castle?"

"Oh! Too many to count." He said as if that was the case for everybody. "You really nailed that chemistry problem today. You're gonna have all the nerds in love with you."

"I'm not that smart." Evie tried to tell him.

"Oh, come on." He scoffed.

"No, really, I'm not. But I'm... I'm really good at sewing and cooking and cleaning. You know, like your mother, Cinderella, without the ratty dress." She said before she pulled out her mirror, showing it to him. "See this? If I ask it where something is, it tells me."

"Are you kidding me?"

"No." She said before Chad took the mirror from her.

"Where's my cell phone?" He asked it, trying to get it to answer him.

"It won't work for you, silly."

"No biggie. My dad will just get me a new one." He said, handing back the mirror.

"Prince Charming."

"Yeah."

"And Cinderella."

"Yeah."

"Fairy godmother. Hey, I heard her wand is in some boring museum. Do they always leave it there?" She asked before Chad pretended to lean in for a kiss.

"I'd really like to talk, but... I'm just swamped. Unless..." He said, leaning against the bleachers.

"Unless?"

"If you could knock all my homework out along with yours, then maybe we could get together sometime... Hang." He said, knowing that he was manipulating her to be right where he wanted her.

"Okay."

"Thanks, babe." He said before winking and walking away, leaving her with his bag. She stared as he walked away, until Doug suddenly showed up.

"I couldn't help but overhear..."

"Are you stalking me?" She asked aa he sat down.

"Technically... yes. I, too, have a fascination with fairy godmother's wand." He said, sliding down next to her. "Which is another reason I look forward to the coronation. Perhaps we could sit next to each other and discuss its attributes." He asked.

"Are you saying they use it in the coronation?" Evie asked, thinking about this new information.

"Yes. And asking you out." He said before she chuckled and walked away.
