Chapter 10: To Mamono City!

A/N: I thought this one was pretty hilarious and I nearly laughed hard to the point of tears XD! I really enjoyed writing this story, haha!

Back on Qutev I used to have its own opening theme, so why not just suggest it in evert start of a chapter? Though I don't own the song, I thought it sounded great with the plot I had! I didn't know the Japanese meaning behind the song but it sounded awesome! I found this song when I started watching the second season for Kakuriyo- Bed & Breakfast for spirits, long ago; it's the opening! Found out it's the original song from Nano and I absolutely love Nano! So don't worry, I do not own the song! :D

"Wait!" As Sesshomaru's group, including Obsidian, walked through the woods, Chief Yogu's voice sounded behind them. Everyone paused in their step to view the shady demon and saw him running up to them. Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes at Hanai with annoyance visible on his features, Yogu was beginning to unnerve him and he didn't even bother to look over his shoulder at the man.

"What is it..?" he asked. Y/N grew curious too and she had one earbud in her ear, after pulling the other out to listen in. Apparently, Y/N was listing to music the entire time they wandered through the woods.

"My lord... I failed to mention some rather important details. I got too distracted by the young woman and your company, that I forgot to inform you. Someone had a courier deliver a letter to me knowing you were heading towards my village. It came from some unknown person. The letter didn't have a demon, human, elf or any normal scent to it like we would normally detect. It had a similar scent that the young woman possesses," Yogu explained and walked up to the lordship, handing a message scroll to him. Hanai must've had that scroll on hand but couldn't be seen, because Y/N never noticed him carrying anything. Her brow rose at that, pure confusion wafted through her mind.

Sesshomaru opened the scroll to read its contents, only to grumble and close his eyes. "What's it say?" Curiosity got to the hybrid alien girl, she wanted to know. Her head peeked around the dog demon's shoulder with a risen brow and stood on her tiptoes, trying to see over his broad, muscular, tall, handsome... I seriously need to stop... Her face flushed red at listing off what she liked about him and looked away, even more so when he glanced down at her curiously. "S-Sorry... I know, I know... I'm short. No need to point that out since you're so tall...~" she emphasized the word tall, pouted and puffed out her cheek, still keeping her eyes averted. "Lucky bastard..." she added. Little did she know that he peered back to the letter and smirked for just a second before reading again.

It appears... Someone wishes to meet us at Mamono City, he said in his mind and squinted his eyes. Mamono... The city of demons, where no human dares to step foot in. L/N wouldn't be able to enter, without other demons sniffing her out and trying to either eat her or kill her, he added in his head and stood there contemplating on some sort of plan.That city was just recently built after Naraku had been taken down and my disgraceful brother became eternal mates with that human woman Kagome. Things began to change and the demon species, including others, chose to build cities and make much larger settlements instead of villages... Why though, of all places, does this person ask me, to meet them there...? If Yogu Hanai claimes this person holds the same scent as L/N, then why request such a dangerous thing? Why live among demons...? he questioned the letter and its maker, though refused to express any emotion aside from irritation. "We're going to Mamono City..." he stated, rolled up the scroll and stuffed it in his robes.

"Mamono City?! My lord, that is a dangerous route when we have a human child and an abnormal woman with us!" Jaken shouted with pure concern and fear, as he waved his staff frantically near his master.

W-What? I've never heard of that! That's not even in the anime, OR manga series! What the hell's going on!? First Obsidian, the Time Corpse, that black blobby thing I killed, Yogu Hanai and his village, NOW THIS?! Am I missing anything else here?! Now that I think about it, I doubt this is even an anime anymore! If I went back in time and Hanai claims that the letter had the same scent as me, doesn't that mean... This world once existed in the past?! The Time Corpse explained to us that I was the only one capable of killing off this new threat, but dang! I thought I was going to have the same fate as the other x readers or main character from one of the Inuyasha fanfictions, I used to read on websites! Y/N went on a mental rant of confusion and stress.

Her eyes had a swirling animation in them and she was acting tipsy, groaning all the while. What snapped her out of her stupor, was when she noticed the others walking ahead of her and Hanai had run back to his village. She ran to catch up to them and took the other earbud out, now holding both of them in one hand. "Hey, what's Mamono City?" Asking with expectations twinkling in her beautiful alien eyes, Sesshomaru growled under his breath in response.

The lordship didn't particularly like the idea of having to explain what that city was. When he looked down at her from the side and saw her innocent, curious eyes he about choked if he wasn't good at keeping his demeanor composed. His one eye started to twitch due to holding back the emotion bubbling up in him. There was just something about her eyes that captivated him terribly and he couldn't make it stop each time he'd stare at her. "Mamono City is the capital settlement to all demons who choose to cope with other neighboring Yokai..." he explained in his calm and low voice, not once glancing back down at her.

"It's very dangerous to any human, you stupid girl!" Jaken chirped in and flaunted his staff with annoyance. Rin was just staring at everyone and listened to them all talk, soon everyone walked quietly after hearing Obsidian chuckle behind them.

The batman was guiding A-Un behind him by the reigns and had his signature smirk plastered. "Ah, Mamono City.~ That's actually where I live,~" he sang playfully and giggled to himself. He had a home there most likely and Y/N felt shivers down her spine, she could only imagine what his house was like. Probably a cave...or a dusty, cobwebby, moldy, broken down Japanese style home that no one wants to visit since it'd look too creepy. She sweatdropped at her own thoughts and had devastated eyes, with blue lines going down her head.

"If that is so... Then I would prefer if L/N and Rin both stayed there. It would be safer that way, considering the amount of lurking demons who would seek to devour any human that would step foot in there..." Sesshomaru answered and never looked back over his shoulder at his old partner.

"Wait... So does that mean... Rin and I..." Y/N darted fingers, pointing at herself and Rin, then over to Obi who...was chuckling ominously to himself in chibi form. She was terrified at the thought of having to stay with a blood-sucking, bug-eating bat in the same house... Especially Rin, of all people! How could he trust someone that had JUST sucked blood from a villager while they visited Hanai's village?! She was beginning to think Sesshomaru had lost it... "You...sure that's safe...?" A lip curled up in disgust and her brows furrowed, not liking the idea one bit.

"You Imbecile! My lord wouldn't trust anyone's life upon someone who he doesn't know! If he trusts Obsidian not to harm either of you, then why question his judgment, girl?!" Jaken yelled angrily and grumbled, clenching his staff. "Obsidian is a powerful bat demon, he simply held back while he fought with my lord against that odd monster! Not that I'm saying he's stronger, of course, my lord is much stronger than anyone alive! So, it was obvious that lord Sesshomaru held back as well!" he added and puffed out his chest proudly, glaring daggers at Y/N all the while.

Yeah, just keep digging the hole deeper, green bean.~ Y/N said in her mind playfully and began chuckling darkly to herself; finding his predicament humorous since Sesshi was staring dangerously at the imp. "Fine, fine... I was just worried, was all. Batman seems to be awfully flirty with me and he's creepy..." she muttered the last sentence so only Sesshi could hear. She pouted with puffed out lips and narrowed her eyes.

Sesshomaru, who peered down at her with a risen brow, pondered on why she would think that when no demon truly takes interest in anyone other than their own kind unless they're direly hungry; aside from Koga, of course... When he kidnapped Kagome. His golden eyes glanced behind himself over at Obsidian, who was still ominously chuckling in his chibi form. I see... he mumbled mentally and looked forward again. "It will take us three days from here, to get to Mamono City..." he answered, causing Y/N to roll her eyes and groan.

Suddenly, he felt some weight on his bicep and looked down, only to see the said young woman lazily laying on it as they walked. Since when did she ever assume it was alright for this sort of contact...? he grumbled dangerously and squinted his eyes at her, feeling irritated that she wasn't being very respectful towards him.

"Three days...? You've gotta be kidding me. We've been walking for two, already..." she said and groaned, lifting her head up off his arm and knitting her brows out of frustration. "How do you people do it...? Traveling all over the place like this? Sure, I love parkour, but this is a different story! I'd prefer to go by car if anything," Whining and complaining about the unwanted exercise, all she received were complaints about her complaining, by the green imp behind her. So, she decided to plug her headset in to drown out his rants about her disrespecting the lordship and the dog demon's decision. Just before she could pick out a song to play, she heard Sesshomaru speak up.

"We will use A-Un, then... Jaken, prepare A-Un for Rin," he stopped and turned around to face the green bean. Without hesitation, the said imp nodded and stopped his rants. He rushed over to A-Uh and dragged the child over to the dragon, making Obsidian let go.

"Ho?~ Does that mean I get to carry this young lady here?~" Obi cooed and formed his closed Sebastian smirk, with faint flushes dusting his cheeks. He didn't receive a word from his old partner, just an almost inaudible grunt.

Without warning, Sesshomaru faced Y/N and stared blankly at her, making her question what he was up to. "Eh?" she blinked curiously a couple times until suddenly, he scooped her into his arms bridal style and made her gasp. "WHAT'RE YOU DOING?!" she exclaimed in surprise and started to kick her feet. He began to hover above the ground and eventually shot out up into the sky, causing Y/N to scream a simple curse word and sentence from her lips. "WHAT THE HELL, WHYYY?!" she didn't mind A-Un carrying her...but to be picked up by the lordship himself all of a sudden and blasting off into the sky like team rocket, nearly put her under a heart attack. (Reference from Pokemon, I know. xD)

"Wait for us, my lord!" Jaken hollered frantically and got on A-Un with Rin. Soon, the dragon took off and Obsidian giggled.

Oh Sesshomaru, my old...friend. You never change. And, here I was, planning on giving Y/N a pleasurable and comfortable ride.~" He teased in his mind and giggled to himself again, soon taking off after them with his bat wings. It took little time at all for them to catch up with Sesshomaru, Obi was just as fast with flying as the lordship, surprisingly enough. Now they were on their way to Mamono City, which was claimed that three days would be how long to reach the settlement. Only now, it'd probably take a day or less at most.
