AN: It's been just about five years. I have...absolutely no excuse. Thank you for every review, every favorite, and every follow. I love that people are still finding this story and I hate that it's not complete too. I promise to keep writing it and I already have ideas for future chapters, so another update is already in the works! I'm a little rusty, but I'm working the kinks out. Next chapter will have more Calzona interaction. As always, the characters are mostly Shonda's.

Aria dropped all three kids off at the hospital daycare and sent a quick text to her sister to see how things had gone the night before. Turning while still engrossed in her phone, she ran directly into another person in the hallway.

"I'm so sorry! I should be looking—oh, hi, Dr. Rogers!" she smiled at the attending.

"Dr. Torres. Hi. I'm also sorry. I am sorry too. As well." Cynthia grimaced and rubbed her head.

"Dr. Rogers. You seem to be wearing sunglasses inside the hospital."

"Long…long night. Your sister is wicked when it comes to tequila. Tequila pusher. Tequila Pusher Torres."

Aria chuckled, knowing her sister. "Ah, yeah, we were raised to take tequila seriously. But…not to be rude…why was my sister drinking with you last night?"

Aria's phone buzzed in her pocket and she glanced down to see the response from Callie:

Mmmph.

Cynthia shook her head to try to get her bearings and shake off some of her hangover. "Arizona—Dr. Robbins—and I were at Joe's last night. California turned up after her talk with Dr. Hunt."

"California? That's a new one."

"Well, she wouldn't let me call her Calliope."

"No, she doesn't let anyone call her Calliope."

Smirking, Cynthia replied, "That's not quite true these days." Realizing that even just smirking hurt her head, Cynthia remembered where she was heading before Aria had bumped into her. "Um…I need coffee." She forced herself to blink hard against the hangover and tried to smile at the other doctor. "Want to join me? My treat."

Just then, Aria's pager went off and she glanced down at it. "Any other time, the answer would be yes. How about a raincheck? Lunch?"

"Lunch. It's a…"

Aria raised her eyebrows at the other doctor.

"…plan. Lunch is our plan."

Laughing at the other woman's verbal stumble, Aria took off towards the ER and sent her a quick smile over her shoulder as she parted.

Arizona walked up behind her friend and put her hand on her shoulder. "It's a plan? Couldn't say date?"

Whipping around, Cynthia pulled off her sunglasses and squinted against the hospital's harsh lights. "Jeez, Zona! You creep—are you spying on me? How long were you standing there?"

Arizona held up her hands. "I just walked up. Just in time to hear you not make a date with Little Torres."

"Whatever. I could have said date if I wanted to. I'm playing it cool. Or going slow. Or something."

"Sure, you are, stud. How are you feeling?"

Putting her sunglasses in her pocket, Cynthia started walking towards the closest coffee cart. "Death. I'm feeling like death. I'm feeling so like death that I'm willing to buy coffee from this cart, even though it's the worst because I can't bear the thought of walking to a good one."

Just then, Cynthia felt someone nudge her arm and put something in her hand. She turned to see Callie Torres holding two cups of coffee, one of which she was trying to give to Cynthia.

"Why are people sneaking up on me today?!"

"Coffee. From the good cart. I thought you might need it."

Cynthia dropped to her knees and gripped the coffee cup in her hands. "Bless you, California. Bless you and bless coffee beans."

Grabbing her friend under the arms and pulling her to her feet, Arizona laughed at the two women. "You two are a ridiculous pair. You should never be left alone together. Who knows what might happen. How are you feeling today, Calliope?"

Before Callie could answer, Cynthia piped up, "And why do you look so good? You drank just as much as I did and you look amazing! Zona, doesn't she look amazing?"

Missing the faint blush that ran up Arizona's face, Callie shrugged and replied, "Tequila doesn't give me a hangover. Sorry."

"Evil. Evil woman. I have to go. I have doctoring to do." She turned to Arizona, "No lunch today. I have plans."

Arizona laughed, "I know you have plans, Cyn. I heard you make them. Go doctor." She watched her friend walk off towards her office and laughed when she saw the sunglasses come back out of her pocket and go right back on her face.

Callie spoke up once Arizona had turned back her way. "I wanted to thank you again, Dr. Robbins. For being such a good friend last night. Being a distraction and then making sure I got home safely. You went above and beyond. Thank you."

"I keep telling you—it's Arizona. And don't mention it. I told you already, Calliope—I'm a very good friend."

Just then, Addison walked up to the two women. "Dr. Robbins."

"Dr. Montgomery-Shepard. Nice to see you."

"You as well. Do you mind if I steal Dr. Torres away for a consult?"

"Absolutely. Calliope, I'll find you later and hopefully we can talk about that case coming in."

Callie nodded and started walking after Addison. "What's up, Addy?"

"One, don't call me Addy and two, just…not yet."

Callie followed Addison until they were in the attending's lounge.

"Why am I hearing rumors that you dumped your husband and immediately were getting cozy with Ortho Attending Cynthia Rogers at Joe's last night?"

Callie's eyebrows shot up. "What?! Where did you hear that?"

"From one of the new Seattle Pres people gossiping around the hospital. Is it true? Why didn't you tell me you were speaking the Vagina Monologues? That seems like something that would have come up over wine and juice."

"No! What?" Callie glanced around the room to make sure no one was listening to their conversation. "I like…penis. I'm a huge, huge fan of penis."

Holding her hands up, Addison shrugged in defeat. "Okay, the gossip mill is wrong. But something happened last night. Information like that doesn't pop up out of nowhere."

"Look, I…" Callie lowered her voice and leaned in to her friend, "I ended it with Owen and then went to Joe's and got drunk with some friends to blow off steam. My kids don't know yet, my sister doesn't even know yet. Can we maybe talk about it later?"

Addison put a sympathetic hand on Callie's arm. "Of course. I'm here whenever you need to talk. I'm sorry—I was just…"

"Don't worry about it. My sister said the Seattle Pres doctors are major gossips." Callie felt her phone vibrate and looked down to see a text from her sister.

I don't know what "Mmmph." means and my coworkers are saying some very weird things. What happened?

Don't listen to them. I'll tell you everything next time I see you. Lunch today?

Can't. Plans. I'll be in the ortho lab all afternoon. Come find me.

Callie looked up at her friend. "Life is hard, isn't it?"

"It is. But sometimes it can be nice." Rubbing her pregnant belly, Addison opened the door to the attending lounge and ushered Callie out ahead of her. "Let me tell you about my date with Mark last night…"
