Naruko and Itachi were busy with their own things involving the restaurant so when the restaurant was finally open Naruko was in a rush but she felt so much pressure. She was grateful that Shikamaru and Temari didn't mind watching Asahi during the day while she worked. They hired three chefs two for the night time and one for the morning with her. Utakata happened to be working with her in the morning. He also became really good friends with Itachi in the process both being young fathers. So, on the first day of the opening, she was so excited that when she saw Fugaku come into the building she almost threw up.
"Mr. Uchiha are you here for a table?" Naruko asked.
"No... I was actually here to see if I could talk to you," Fugaku said looking rather nervous.
"It really isn't a good time to talk Mr. Uchiha it's the first day and I am extremely busy," Naruko said respectfully.
"I can wait. This is really important," Fugaku said.
"Okay well take a seat at the counter and someone can take your order," Naruko said going to the back again by Utakata.
"Is that the in-law?" Utakata asked.
"Yeah, and he had to come when Itachi wasn't here too," Naruko said nervously patting her stomach gently.
True to his word Fugaku stayed until the time that Naruko told him she would be getting off for her own lunch break. He was anxious and it seemed to get worse the longer he was here. It made the waiters and waitresses nervous while they were near him.
"Mr. Uchiha, we can talk now," Naruko said feeling light-headed but still started to move to the back where her house was until the room was too dizzy that she found herself falling.
Fugaku held her up before calling for some help.
"What happened?" Utakata asked.
"Do you know my son's number?" Fugaku asked.
"Yes," Utakata answered.
"Call him and tell him I took his fiancée to the hospital to meet us there," Fugaku said picking her up gently before walking out of the building.
The drive to the hospital made him even more nervous because he feels like since he walked in the door Naruko looked paler than she usually was and he couldn't help but notice it got worse throughout the day.
Fugaku was in the waiting room when Itachi ran into the hospital doors with his mother on his heels.
"What did you do?" Itachi growled out.
"I didn't do anything. I only came to talk to her and she was already looking sick so I just stayed and what I had to say was rather important," Fugaku explained.
"Did the doctors come out yet Fugaku?" Mikoto asked just as Shikamaru was coming into the building with Asahi and Tsunade.
"Tsunade," Itachi said walking up to her as he took Asahi from Shikamaru.
"How is she? Did you get any information?" Tsunade asked worried purely on her granddaughter.
"Is this the family for Naruko Namikaze?" the doctor asked shaking the foundation of everyone around them.
"Yes," Tsunade said stepping forward with Itachi beside her.
"Is she okay?" Itachi asked a second later when he got himself together.
"She is fine just a little lightheaded but we should talk more in private," the doctor said toward Itachi.
"Yes, is she awake? My daughter and I are worried," Itachi said worried beyond belief.
"Yes, she is you can follow me everyone else will have to wait out here," the doctor said.
"Tsunade we have to talk about this afterward," Itachi said softly before he walked away.
"You can talk to the brat about it," Tsunade said as she sat near Shikamaru in the waiting room.
Itachi and the doctor didn't talk at all throughout the hallway. Asahi paid very close attention to the doctor and her dad as they made it to Naruko's room.
"Itachi," Naruko said wanting to reach out toward him.
Itachi moved quickly toward her with Asahi in his hands still.
"Are you okay? What did he do?" Itachi asked in a whisper.
"Nothing and yes I'm fine just tired," Naruko said honestly.
"You should be happy to know that your fiancée is pregnant that's why she is feeling lightheaded and nauseous," the doctor said making Itachi's head fly up to look at him.
"Pregnant?" Itachi asked shocked.
"Yes, she is two weeks pregnant," the doctor said nodding her head. "I think it was a little much for her today. As I understand you just opened a new business and it was its first day along with other issues, I'm sure that made her react that way," the doctor said.
"Can mama come home?" Asahi asked looking at Naruko.
Naruko looked at the doctor.
"You may go but you have to get a lot of bed rest it's not like your first pregnancy. Don't take too much on," the doctor said respectfully he seemed to care a lot about Naruko in Itachi's eyes and he didn't like it.
"I understand thank you," Naruko said and started to get up with the help of Itachi who set Asahi down to help her.
"Mommy, what does pregnant mean?" Asahi asked.
"It means you're going to have a little sister or brother," Naruko said softly with a warm smile on her face.
"REALLY?" Asahi screamed happily.
"Yes, little light bulb," Naruko said.
"Mr. Uchiha can I speak to you for a moment?" the doctor asked.
"Yes, wait here for me," Itachi said kissing them both on the top of their heads.
The doctor waited until Itachi was completely out of the room before he said anything.
"It's good to see you two still together since the first child," the doctor said and Itachi realized this was the doctor he took her to in the beginning.
"Thank you," Itachi said unsure what else to say.
"I would advise you to keep her stress free as much as possible because if I remember correctly your daughter was born at least a month or so early," the doctor said shocking Itachi.
"Yes, she was but she was healthy so I didn't think anything of it. Is there a problem with the baby now?" Itachi asked.
"It's possible that it's more than one in there Mr. Uchiha and she is a lot more liable to be stressed out giving the conditions she is going through with opening up the business," the doctor said.
"Two?" Itachi said shocked.
"Yes, two Mr. Uchiha. So, I will be giving you some vitamins I would like her to take to make sure she is getting the proper nutrients she needs," the doctor said.
"Thank you," Itachi said nodding his head as the doctor handed him the prescription, he already printed out for her.
"You may go now to her. She already set up her next checkup before you came in the room," the doctor said and Itachi gave him a nod before he walked back into the room.
"Honey," Itachi said softly as tears threatened to drop from his eyes as he hugged her from behind.
"Well, it was definitely not planned but it wasn't exactly unplanned now was it?" Naruko said with a soft chuckle as she rubbed the back of his head.
"I'm so happy," Itachi said breathing in her scent.
"I'm glad because I wasn't sure how you would take it when you found out," Naruko said softly.
"Naruko there is no way in the world this isn't a happy occasion," Itachi said turning her around so she had to look at him.
"I was so scared without you here but I didn't want your father to sit in the room with me," Naruko said softly like she was a sixteen-year-old all over again.
"Utakata said you fainted and he took you to the hospital and I nearly had a heart attack as I sped all the way here with my mom," Itachi said.
"Daddy is mommy going to be okay?" Asahi asked suddenly reminding them that she was still there in the room.
They for sure had to talk more later about it all.
"I am fine my light bulb," Naruko said patting her head. "But mommy can't carry you for a while," Naruko said sadly like it was the saddest thing in the world.
"It's okay mommy I have to protect my sister so I can't hurt her by being on your belly," Asahi said making Itachi and Naruko laugh as they hugged her tightly.
"We should get going now," Itachi said giving them another kiss on the forehead as he picked up Asahi and grabbed Naruko's hand.
"Wait you, dork," Naruko said softly as he wiped at his eyes with a smile. "I know you're happy but we don't want to tell them all in the hospital," Naruko said.
Itachi couldn't help but kiss her softly on her cheek with a smile of absolute adoration for her.
"I'm happy too," Naruko said softly as she brushed her daughter's hair back out of her face looking at them both.
The three walked out of the room into the waiting room to see Mikoto, Fugaku, Shikamaru, Tsunade, and Sasuke with Sakurai in his hands looking like he just arrived.
"Are you okay?" Sasuke asked sounding like he was trying to catch his breath.
"I'm going to be fine," Naruko said to her friend.
Itachi was a little annoyed with how his younger brother was acting toward Naruko but he reined in his jealousy because he knew Asahi was paying close attention to him and how he responded to everyone.
"We can talk more about this at our home," Itachi said walking toward the entrance.
"We can come with you?" Fugaku asked.
"Yes, and thank you for taking me to the hospital," Naruko answered before Itachi could. "And for catching me before I landed on the floor," Naruko said like it was an afterthought.
"You're welcome," Fugaku said and followed them out of the building.
"Naruko, I have to go home to let Temari know you're okay before Gaara comes flying back here to check on you," Shikamaru said.
"That's fine I will call you later," Naruko said hugging Shikamaru.
"You better," Shikamaru said nodding at everyone and then leaving before anyone could stop him.
Everyone else left to their own cars and all met up at Itachi and Naruko's home. They all seemed to get there one by one. Utakata was still at the restaurant taking care of everything like Itachi asked him to. He was even helping the other chefs that were supposed to be working night.
"You go upstairs with mommy while I go talk to my friend really quick okay?" Itachi asked Asahi and got a nod from her.
Itachi walked away to talk to Utakata and let him know everything was fine.
"This place turned out beautiful," Mikoto said softly as Sasuke followed behind going up the stairs as a fox charged inside to go up the stairs after Naruko and Asahi.
"You all can go upstairs while I handle this down here," Itachi said to his and Naruko's family.
Tsunade was already up the stairs trying to catch up with the two blondes. As everyone got upstairs Fugaku was reeling over the fact that Itachi went all out for his woman and the one he fell in love with.
"This place is really beautiful," Fugaku mumbled.
"I know right," Mikoto whispered to her husband. "Our son did right by her," Mikoto said softly.
"You can all sit down. Would you like some drinks?" Naruko offered.
"Mommy sits down daddy said to not do too much," Asahi reprimanded sounding a lot like Itachi.
"Then will you help me get the drinks?" Sasuke asked already knowing where everything was from the last time he was here.
"Yes, uncle Sasuke and I will get the drinks," Asahi said nodding her head and taking his hand while she pulled him in the kitchen.
Sakurai stayed next to Mikoto by the dining room table with Fugaku and Tsunade sat next to Naruko who was also at the table. Naruko was just waiting for Itachi to come upstairs.
"It's nothing death-related right?" Mikoto asked worriedly.
"I'm fine," Naruko said with a smile.
Sasuke and Asahi came back with drinks handing water to Naruko and everyone else had the choice of soda and juice.
"Asahi why don't you go play upstairs with Sakurai? If that's okay with you Sasuke?" Naruko asked and got a nod from Sasuke sending his son a look who got up and went upstairs with his cousin just as Itachi was walking into the room.
"Naruko were you already doing more work?" Itachi asked exasperated.
"Asahi is picking up your habits. And no, I didn't do it Sasuke and Asahi did," Naruko said.
"What did she do?" Itachi asked with a smile on his face.
"She reprimanded her," Sasuke said wanting the conversation to be over with.
"So, what happened?" Mikoto asked nervously about the atmosphere.
Naruko and Itachi looked at one another and at the same time they spoke. "We're having another baby," they both said grabbing each other's hand with a smile.
"Really?" Mikoto asked excitedly.
Tsunade didn't say anything just hugged Naruko on the side of her and smiled at Itachi.
"Yes, I'm two weeks pregnant," Naruko said.
"Congrats," Sasuke said but his voice had a hint of annoyance which alerted Itachi immediately making him stand up.
"Little brother come with me really quick," Itachi said standing up and walking toward the door so they would go to the backyard.
Itachi didn't need to look back to know his younger brother was following him. The others didn't say anything.
"Brother conversation," Naruko said shrugging her shoulders nervously because she heard the annoyance in Sasuke's voice too.
Itachi and Sasuke went all the way to the back of the yard before he turned back to his younger brother.
"What the hell is your problem?" Itachi asked straightforwardly not willing to beat around the bush.
Not about Naruko. Definitely not about his daughter.
"It's nothing," Sasuke said.
"You've been acting funny around Asahi Sasuke and I don't like it but I left it alone for the good of peace but don't push me. I have little patience when it comes to my daughter," Itachi said firmly staring his brother directly in the eye.
"Like I said it's nothing," Sasuke said looking away from his brother.
"Sasuke if you want to keep her in your life even as just an uncle you need to calm down," Itachi said catching the shock on Sasuke's face. "Because don't forget she is MY daughter, not yours," Itachi said firmly and coldly.
"Sorry, I'm not doing it on purpose. I just regret it okay," Sasuke said honestly shocking Itachi. "I'm not doing it on purpose it's just ever since I met her it's hard okay," Sasuke said looking back toward the house.
"..." Itachi didn't know what to say to his younger brother because what could you say to someone who let their child go and regretted it later on.
"You don't have to say anything because it's not like I don't know I brought this on myself I just didn't think it was going to be this hard," Sasuke said softly.
"I get it," Itachi said making Sasuke look at him quickly. "You may not be in the same situation as me but it is still scary for me too and don't forget that. But if I'm being brutally honest this would have never happened had you kept your promise," Itachi said.
"I know and nothing I do is going to change the decision I made but that doesn't change the fact that it's hard on me," Sasuke said softly.
"I know," Itachi said making his brother look up at him. "I know it sucks but at least she still cares about you as a family so accept it and take it slow. If there are moments you can't handle just take a step back or think of this conversation," Itachi said getting Sasuke to nod his head in response.
The conversation was over after that and it became lighter. Sasuke felt a heavy weight leave off of his shoulders and he finally felt comfortable which he hasn't felt since the three came back to Konoha.
"So, you're having another baby too now?" Sasuke said with a smile on his face.
"Yes, and it might be twins," Itachi said excitedly.
"Really? That's exciting," Sasuke said and then thought about it. "And a bit scary," Sasuke mumbled.
"I feel the same way," Itachi said smiling. "I'm scared for it to be two babies but at least we didn't have to deal with it the first time around considering that would have been frightening for two new parents," Itachi said.
"Yes, that would have given me a heart attack," Sasuke said nodding his head.
Sasuke and Itachi made eye contact with one another and started laughing loudly and happily.
"Daddy?" Asahi called out at the door.
"Light bulb?" Itachi asked softly but she heard him.
"Mommy said to come inside with uncle Sasuke," Asahi said as she ran to him jumping toward his arms, he picked her up happily.
"Okay," Itachi said nodding his head as he started to walk back to the house.
"We're good Itachi?" Sasuke asked cryptically only Itachi would understand between the three of them.
"Yeah, we are," Itachi said smiling at Sasuke then toward his little girl.
Sasuke followed closely behind the two and couldn't help but feel like it could have been him with the young blonde but he knew it could never be and he wouldn't be the one to destroy the young girl's happiness. He also couldn't destroy Naruko and Itachi's happiness.
"Can you tell me what you came to the restaurant earlier for?" Naruko asked.
"Yes," Fugaku said as Itachi walked into the room with his daughter.
He noticed his mom was nowhere in sight. It was just Fugaku and Naruko.
Before Itachi could say anything Naruko gave him an eye telling him not to say anything and that made him tell Sasuke to go upstairs with Asahi. Itachi came to Naruko's side and sat down in front of his father.
"I want to tell you both I was wrong. I can't change the past but I can at least try to do better and make peace with you both. I want to say I'm sorry," Fugaku said.
Naruko was shocked as was Itachi who sat there frozen.
"Fugaku I don't hold grudges but I can't forgive you with just words. I would need to know you're not just saying this. No offense you just never given me a reason to trust your words. I don't want to tell you your forgiven just to hold what you did over your head later on. If this is real, I want it to be done and over with," Naruko said softly like she was whispering.
"I don't know what I can do to prove that I really do mean my apology," Fugaku said looking directly at her.
"Maybe you can start by just being respectful when we're in a room together or just by being nice to your granddaughter. Or just try being a father to your son. You hurt him more than you ever hurt me. I'm not your child and despite not liking it I get why you treated me like shit. It doesn't mean I have to like it or agree with it but the person you hurt the most is sitting right next to me," Naruko said firmly and resolutely shocking both men.
"Naru..." Itachi started.
"Hush," Naruko said standing up giving Itachi a kiss on the forehead before she walked toward the stairs. "You two need to talk," Naruko said, and then she was gone.
"Come talk with me in my office," Itachi said standing up from the dining room table.
Itachi couldn't help but feel nervous and the fact that the love of his life knew every moment that he was hurt in this process. The two Uchiha men walked stiffly to Itachi's study and Naruko found it amusing as she watched them from the stairs without them noticing.
"What's going on?" Sasuke asked from behind her.
"I'm having them talk," Naruko said.
"That might end with chaos," Sasuke said sitting on the stair.
"If it does, he's not as sorry as he claims he is," Naruko said sitting down next to him.
"..." Sasuke was shocked by her and wanted to say something but didn't.
"Are you okay now?" Naruko asked looking toward her friend.
"Yes, thanks for understanding," Sasuke said.
"You just need to be careful because Itachi is very possessive," Naruko said.
"Oh, I know," Sasuke said thinking about how Itachi was outside.
"Did you know that he's liked me for a long time?" Naruko asked her friend.
"I didn't, since when?" Sasuke asked.
"I don't know honestly because he hasn't told me yet but it's probably before we even got together," Naruko said.
"So, I ruined your chances with him from the beginning?" Sasuke said flabbergasted and annoyed with himself.
"Yes, you did but you don't need to tell Itachi that," Naruko said hitting him.
"Are you ever going to tell him?" Sasuke asked.
"Yes, that's why I don't want you to tell him. I'm just waiting for him to tell me how long it was for him," Naruko said with a smile on her face.
"Mommy is daddy okay?" Asahi asked from the top of the stairs.
"Yes, honey he just talking to grandpa really quick," Naruko said.
"But... would if he hurts daddy?" Asahi asked.
"He... daddy will be fine," Naruko said with a warm smile on her face.
The men were in Itachi's office for over an hour before coming out and Itachi had a pleased expression on his face and Naruko smiled because that meant he solved some of his issues with his father.
"Are you feeling better?" Naruko whispered to Itachi who immediately approached her when he saw her.
"Yes, thank you, my love," Itachi said kissing her gently on his lips.
"I'm glad," Naruko said as she slowly walked to the kitchen.
Everyone was saying goodbye and Asahi was sleeping in the living room when Itachi finally realized what was said earlier that day.
"Naruko we need to talk about something from earlier," Itachi said softly while he watched her cook their dinner.
"What is it?" Naruko asked.
"Why did the doctor call you Namikaze?" Itachi asked honestly.
"He called me that?" Naruko turned a shocked expression on her face.
"Yes," Itachi said nervously.
"I didn't really want that to get out but since we're going to get married, I guess I will have to tell you about my family," Naruko said turning the burner on low as she walked back to the dining room.
"Is it bad?" Itachi asked.
"No," Naruko said softly but she seemed really nervous.
The two sat down but didn't speak at all both seemed nervous for completely different reasons.
"My dad is Minato Namikaze," Naruko said straightforwardly.
"Why didn't you ever say anything?" Itachi asked shocked that his soon-to-be wife was the daughter of the mayor of Konoha before he passed away.
"Because they were protecting me from publicity so they put all the documentation with my mom's last name to keep me safe. I was kidnapped three times before they decided to change it," Naruko said softly.
"Well, why didn't you ever tell me about who your parents were? We've been together for over five years now," Itachi said shocked and a bit sad.
"Honestly I didn't bring it up because it wasn't important to me. I'm an orphan and my dad and mom didn't... I didn't even know them so I didn't know who my parents were until I was thirteen and I moved back here. It wasn't important enough to tell because it would have never changed anything and..." Naruko said stopping.
"And?" Itachi asked.
"And I didn't really know them for me to even talk about them," Naruko said.
"I understand but I still wish you would have told me or at least said it to my father then he would have never pushed you away so hard. Not that he should have treated you like shit anyway but still... it would have been better if he knew," Itachi said.
"No, it wouldn't," Naruko said annoyed shocking Itachi.
"Naru..." Itachi started but didn't get to finish.
"I'm glad your find with your father and I'm happy that he apologized but that doesn't erase the years of pain he made me go through just because he thought I wasn't good enough because I was some orphan. It shouldn't change just because he found out who my father was. I barely knew him let alone mentioning him in a damn argument with your father," Naruko said pissed off.
"I'm sorry please calm down. I get it and your right," Itachi said knowing he said the wrong thing to her.
"I'm sorry too. I'm not mad at you nor am I... it's just he should have treated me with respect since the beginning. I never did anything to him to make him treat me that way," Naruko said tears welling up in her eyes.
"I know my love and I'm sorry," Itachi said moving toward her gently calming her down and wiping away her tears.
"Mommy?" Asahi called softly looking from above the couch at Naruko.
"Honey?" Naruko said softly.
"Don't cry mommy you'll hurt the baby," Asahi said softly as tears welled up in her own eyes.
"Come here light bulb," Naruko said leaving Itachi's arms.
Itachi didn't want to let his lover go but he knew what needed to happen between them so he went back to the kitchen to focus on the food.
"ITACHI DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH THAT FOOD!" Naruko snapped and softly brought her daughter to the kitchen where a shocked Itachi was. "You stay right there with our daughter while I finish. We need to wake up early and sign Asahi to school," Naruko said making them both nod their heads.
Itachi still felt the tension in her body even as she continued to cook dinner. He looked down to his daughter who fell back to sleep in her arms and he couldn't help but smile at her. He didn't catch the glance from Naruko who couldn't help but smile at the two of them.
After the three ate their dinner in silence and Naruko took a bath while Itachi gave Asahi a bath because Naruko couldn't bend over at the moment Naruko walked back into the room to give her a kiss and a bedtime story with a happy smile.
"Okay my little light bulb you need to go to sleep now," Naruko said kissing her daughter on the forehead and Itachi slipped between them kissing her forehead also before they walked out closing her door only leaving it open a crack.
They still had monitors all over the house so they could always hear her because they never wanted anything to happen to their daughter.
"Naruko what else did the doctor tell you before I came?" Itachi asked.
"He said he was shocked to see me again since he knew I moved to Suna. Then told me he didn't think he would be doing another check up on me involving pregnancy," Naruko said.
"Did he tell you there is a possibility of it being twins?" Itachi asked.
Naruko's face went to shocked really quickly. She didn't get told that.
"He said it was a possibility not that it was happening," Itachi said with a soft chuckle.
"Three children? Do you think we're ready for three?" Naruko asked fear etched in her eyes but there was something else that warmed Itachi's heart.
"Even if we're not we still got time to get used to the idea. We find out for sure on your next appointment," Itachi said with a soft smile.
"Yeah, we will," Naruko said and the room went quiet. "How do you feel about having twins?" Naruko asked in a whisper as she laid down.
"I'm excited but I won't say I'm not scared. It's scary to think about it but I'm really excited at the same time. I feel better knowing that we're in this together and by the time they come Asahi will be a little older and be able to understand a little more," Itachi said.
"I'm nervous if it's going to be two that means double trouble and that means I might have to hire another chef," Naruko said softly.
"I can show you the business side of it if you want?" Itachi asked with a soft smile.
"You know I got a minor in business," Naruko said with a huff.
"I know but do you want me to show you or not?" Itachi asked with a smile on his face as he grabbed her hand giving it a soft kiss.
"Yeah, that would be nice," Naruko said with a smile.
"We are going to have a bigger family," Itachi said with a huge smile.
"Because someone wasn't using protection," Naruko said with a smile that showed she was playing.
"I didn't wear protection? Me?" Itachi said playfully.
"Yes you," Naruko said with a laugh smacking him in the chest gently.
"Go to sleep I have to go lock up downstairs," Itachi said with a soft smile.
"Thank you, love," Naruko said kissing him gently on the lips. "Good night," Naruko said.
"Good night my love," Itachi said getting up before he stopped. "Thank you for telling me about your family and I'm sorry for upsetting you earlier," Itachi said brushing her back out of her face.
"It's fine Itachi," Naruko said nuzzling into his hand.
Itachi walked out of the room and went downstairs putting everything in the right spots and locking all of the doors as he talked to Utakata about the day. He realized he might have to pay the man more.
"I appreciate your help today Utakata," Itachi said. "We might have to only have day shifts or have to hire another chef," Itachi said.
"Is something wrong with Miss Naruko?" Utakata asked still worried about the woman.
"She's pregnant again and this time it might be more difficult than the first pregnancy so we have to set a stable pace for her," Itachi said.
"Why don't you stay here with her while she works and monitor make sure there is another chef on doing in case she needs to step back?" Utakata asked.
"That's not a bad idea," Itachi hummed out. "I will talk to her about it," Itachi said softly.
"I really love the atmosphere of this place. It just feels like home," Utakata said with a smile on his face as he helped clean up the tables clearing off all the dishes so he could wash them.
"I'm going to have to hire more people for this place to have someone clean it," Itachi said.
"I think my younger cousin would love to work here if your hiring minors for part-time?" Utakata asked.
"For part-time evening?" Itachi asked.
"Yeah, for cleaner and waiter?" Utakata asked.
"That would be great. I would need to get the okay for the school once it starts and from their parents though and then it would be fine," Itachi said and felt a bit better about the small café.
It was only open until nine o'clock at night so he didn't really mind all of it but he couldn't do what he was doing every night and he knew Utakata couldn't either but he needed people he trusted to run the night shift he just didn't have many of those people at the moment.
When Utakata and Itachi were done cleaning and putting everything away Itachi walked Utakata out and locked everything up and then went back to count all the money and the receipts for the day. He put the money in a pouch and then opened the back door for the fox so it could come inside after he locked the restaurant area. The fox jumped around his legs and he bent over to pick it up to get it to stop yipping at him and then pet him for a while then fed it and went back upstairs after locking the backdoor too.
The fox knew it wasn't allowed upstairs so it sat at the bottom of the stairs but Itachi didn't get why he felt bad for the little guy so he gestured for it to follow upstairs. The little fox flew up the stairs and jumped into his hands and licked his face happily. Itachi let it do what it wanted as he walked up the rest of the stairs and then locked the door going upstairs. He peeked in his daughters' room and noticed she wasn't there making him run to his bedroom scared only to find her sleeping next to Naruko curled into her. The fox yipped and Itachi let him down and watched the fox jump on the bed curling into Naruko and Asahi. Itachi couldn't help it he pulled his phone out and took a picture before anyone could move and saved it as his screen saver.
"Picture perfect," Itachi mumbled.
Itachi took off his shirt and his shoes going around the bed to curl into Naruko's other side pulling his lovely ladies into his arms more making the fox yip at him.
"Shush before I put you back downstairs," Itachi mumbled with a glare making the fox come next to him curling by his back making him chuckle softly.
"Itachi shush," Naruko said in her sleep as she grabbed his hand.
Itachi moved closer to her pressing his whole body into hers so she knew he was right there with her. She even backed up more into him while pulling Asahi with her making him smile.
He was happy and he just couldn't help but enjoy his life but he knew it wasn't going to always be this perfect.

I really love how Naruko was in this chapter. I think her not wanting to talk about her parents because she doesn't even know them makes sense. But I do agree with her when she said she shouldn't have to say who her parents were for her to get respect.
