Ruby-
Lunch is slightly different now that team CFVY are eating with us. But I like it. We get to talk about more things. However, Cardin hasn't changed.
"Hey, looky here boys, the bunny is eating with a wolf," he said as he walked by us.
"At least she can stand up to her fears, not like someone who cowers while others are saving a city," Blake said.
"What?"
"I have a friend who told me about how they saw you staying in the camp not doing anything," Yang continued.
"Who cares, we got people there and stayed to protect them. Let's go guys," he said as his team walked away.
"That was perfect," I said. "After everything he's done he deserved that."
"Thank you, but you didn't have to do that," Velvet said.
"Hey, we're friends," I said.
"Hey Ruby, wanna go look for that book?" Blake asked me.
"Sure, see you guys later," I said as we got up.
While we were walking through the halls they got very crowded and I looked over at Blake as a hand grabbed her bow and ripped it off, revealing her ears.
"Hey look boys, a little kitty. Think you could teach me how to train one for myself," Cardin said.
"Give it back!" I yelled as I ran at him. He dodged and hit me in the back with all of his power. The last thing I felt was hitting the wall, then darkness. I woke up on my bed and I could tell that I had been out for a while. I looked over and noticed Blake at my side. "What happened?"
"Ruby!" she said as she wrapped her arms around me. "Cardin took my bow, and then when you tried to get it back he hit you into the wall, because of how fast you were already going it knocked you out. I quickly took you and brought you here. Damion, Yang, and Coco were here, but when they saw you and asked what happened then left. Oscar's in his room."
"You should let him know I'm fine," I said.
"Are you sure?"
"Yep, just sore."
"I'll be right back," she said before giving me a quick kiss and leaving.
"Ruby, you sure you're fine?" Oscar asked as he came in.
"Yep, won't be working out for a while though."
"Then how about you tell me why he did that," he said with a worried tone.
"Because Cardin hates all faunus, we stood up for Velvet during lunch. This was his payback," I said.
"So, because you stood up for someone, that isn't right."
"Well, he's probably in a world of pain right now," Weiss said entering the room.
"I'm guessing I know where the others were heading," I said.
"Wouldn't take a genius to figure it out," Oscar said.
"I just hope they won't do anything too rash," I said.
"I just hope they don't kill him knowing those three," Blake said. We then heard a knock at the door. "I'll get it," she said, getting up. I heard her say something and another voice.
"Ruby, I heard what happened, are you sure you're good?" Velvet said running over to me.
"Yes, just knocked out, nothing too bad."
"Still, it's because the two of you stood up for me."
"And I would again in a heartbeat," I said, grabbing her hands.
"Thanks, you're a great friend," she said kissing my hands.
"Be careful, you might make someone jealous," I said.
"It's fine, just don't take it any further," Blake said.
"I wouldn't, I mean, I know you two are," Velvet stuttered.
"Velvet, we're joking," I said.
"Oh, um, ok," she said, blushing a bit. We all had a good laugh at that.
Damion-
"I'm going to kill the mother fucking son of a," I started.
"No, Cardin is mine," Yang said.
"I don't care, all of them are dead," Coco added.
"That will be my job," I said as I activated my semblance to its full power. I then used the tendrils and sped faster towards where they were laughing, as Cardin still held Blake's bow.
"Did you see their faces, serves that bitch right," he said.
"Cardin!" I yelled.
"Shit," he said as I grabbed him with a tendril, I then picked up one of his teammates and used him to bludgeon the others, knocking them all out at once.
"I'm going to kill you," a voice that wasn't mine said as I went to speak. I then noticed how everything was red, and there was a white outline. I then used my free hand and ripped the mask that somehow appeared on my face off, I then realized that Reaper was at his throat.
"I'll let you live, but if you hurt my sister again, I will kill you," I said, as I tossed him to the ground. I then looked around as Yang and Coco stood behind me and then used my tendrils to climb into a window I saw open. I was immediately approached by Goodwitch who was looking at her scroll.
"Perfect, I was just informed that you knocked out an entire team, why?"
"Cardin hurt Ruby, I hurt him," I said.
"So, revenge. While it is your first offence, because of the severity, you will serve a week of detentions."
"Fine, however I said something that will require you to be at our dorm for a bit, can you also let the other teams to be there, I want to tell everyone at once," I said.
"I'm guessing this involves your name, Mr. Rose."
"And something else," I said.
I walked back with her and when I got there everyone else was there.
"Damion, what the hell was that mask and voice?" Coco asked me.
"In a moment," I said.
"I'm more curious about what you said, you said, 'if you hurt my sister again', who were you talking about?" Yang asked.
"I guess it is time I fully introduce myself, and both Goodwitch and Ozpin can confirm this. My full name is Damion Rose, I am the first born child of Summer Rose, Ruby's older half-brother."
"What?!" Ruby said.
"You're shitting us!" Yang added.
"No, he is telling the truth, Oz says so," Oscar said.
"Why didn't you say anything before?" Blake asked.
"Because, I wasn't sure how to, or what to say. I'm telling you now because I made a mistake."
"So, another lie?" Jaune asked.
"Yes, I wasn't sure how they would take being told they had an older half-brother they didn't know about. I only learned of them from a letter my mother sent me many years ago, I only got it two years ago, because my uncle hid it from me."
"That was when you unlocked your semblance right? What happened?" Weiss asked.
"We were attacked by grim, the forge was infested in a second. A possession type grim entered my body after my uncle was ripped to shreds in front of me. I overpowered it, or I thought, but apparently it is just dormant inside me, that was its voice," I said.
"What?"
"I apparently have a grim living inside me."
"That's preposterous," Goodwitch said.
"We could have Atlas test his blood for anything," Weiss said.
"Well, I need to talk to James about a team that wants to transfer anyways," Goodwitch said.
"What team?" Yang asked
"FNKI," she sighed. "Also team SSSN from Haven."
"This might become a better year than we thought," Coco said.
"Well, I'll talk to you all later," she said.
"Wow, never would have thought that you were my brother," Ruby said.
"I'm sorry, I didn't want to lie to you," I said. "It's ok if you all hate me."
"We don't hate you," Blake said, grabbing my arm.
"No, because now we're family," Yang added.
"I guess you did all this so we didn't think that you were just lying, I also thought about what Pyrrha said. You did it so she would be safe, I forgive you," Jaune said.
"Thanks."
"So, what now?" Ruby asked.
"Well, I'm exhausted, so I'm gonna sleep," I said walking to my room.
I woke up in the morning and when I went out to the common room Ruby was sitting on the couch with Blake's head on her lap, and she looked up at me and put her finger to her mouth. I understood and went to our small balcony, a second later she came out and joined me.
"Sorry, fell asleep on me, didn't want to wake her, brother," she said with a smile.
"Just call me Damion, you don't have to call me brother or anything different now," I said.
"I know, but I will still call you brother at times," Ruby said looking at the horizon.
"I guess it's nice to have a family again, I lost thoses who were like family, now that I have an actual family right here," I said putting my arm around her shoulders. "I'm happy."
"Me too," she said leaning in.
"Well, lookie here, a family moment," Yang said.
"Wanna join?" I asked.
"Sure," she said as she stepped next to me. I then put my arm around her.
"I guess you're like my cousin or something," I said.
"Still, nice to know there is someone else Ruby can go to other than just me," she said.
"You know you can come to me too," I said.
"I guess I can."
"Well, I think of all of team RWBY and CFVY as my family," I said.
"And team JNR?"
"I can't quite consider them family, while they forgave me, I don't think we're entirely good yet."
"Well, if we're family then what about Oscar?"
"Not sure yet, I just hope that he learns to fight. I was actually going to ask if you guys could join us in the amphitheater today, team CFVY will be there," I said.
"Hm, I guess I wasn't planning on us training, but why not," Ruby said.
"Thanks, this is nice, but I'm gonna go get Oscar up," I said, opening the door careful not to wake Blake. "Hey, Oscar. Get up," I said nudging him.
"What?"
"We're gonna go train, classes start tomorrow, and we have combat after Port's, trust me when I say you're gonna have to get used to training while tired."
"Alright, let me grab my stuff," he said getting up.
"Be careful, Blake's asleep on the couch," I said walking out. A few seconds later he walked out in his usual outfit with his weapon at his side. "We should get you better clothes, more hunter oriented ones."
"I agree, so what are we doing?"
"First, we get breakfast. Then we jog around the school twice, then to the gym, and then combat," I said.
"This is gonna suck," he sighed.
"Oh, and no help from Oz," I added.
"He says he understands."
"Let's go," I said, opening the door as quietly as possible to not wake Blake up.
So, while he survived the jog and gym, I'm not too sure how he's going to even be able to fight anything. He's out of energy, but his aura is still there.
"How much aura have you been using while we were working out?"
"I was supposed to use aura?"
"Yes, that explains why you couldn't lift all that much. I'll have Sun explain when he gets here, I highly doubt they won't take him."
"So, who am I fighting?"
"First, activate your aura," I said.
"Right," he said as a translucent green layer of aura went over his body.
"Green so you will be fighting Yatsu first," I said as he walked down.
"Wait, what? Why him?"
"Because your aura is green, I decided depending on the color of your aura, you will fight a different person first, Yatsuhashi's aura is a darker green, so I thought it would be perfect. Yatsu, go easy on him," I said going into the stands.
We watched as they fought, while Oscar kept dodging Yatsu's attacks, he couldn't get one of his to make contact, they both couldn't get the other.
"That boy is fast," Coco said.
"Yes, but can you tell why his attacks won't hit?" I asked
"Um, because he isn't fast enough?"
"No, because they aren't aimed," Ruby said.
"Both are correct and wrong, it's because he isn't trained to fight, he's just swinging wildly. Weiss, you're next. Unless Ruby says otherwise," I said looking at my sister.
"I'm good with it, I think I understand why," she said looking at me.
"Stop, good job, both of you," I said.
"So, we done for now?" Oscar asked panting
"Get a drink, then Weiss will teach you how to fight with Long Memory like a rapier," I said. "They are very similar, should be easy, right Weiss?"
"Well, as easy as teaching someone a weapon can be," she said grabbing her weapon.
"Since they are going to be at it for a while, why don't we practice ourselves," I said.
"I say leaders vs. everyone else," Yang said.
"Agreed," Velvet said.
"Now I can smash Coco," Yang said energetically. We all looked at her with looks of confusion, annoyance, and trying not to laugh. "I ment in a fight, ugh is this how you guys feel with me around?"
"No, you are worse," Blake said.
"Well at least you get to smash your girlfriend," Yang said back.
"And you your sister," I said, that got everyone but the members of team RWBY to laugh.
"I will end you, I don't care who you are, I will end you," Yang said as her eyes went red.
"Start!" I yelled as I jumped down, removing Reaper in longsword form.
"Damion!" Yang yelled after me.
"You're dead!" Blake added.
"Hey sis, a little help please?"
"Fine," she said as I heard a shot hit Yang.
"Hi Ruby," I heard Velvet say. Then I looked over and was confused at what I saw.
