*Chapter 12*

A few years had passed. Sam still continued to hunt, while Dean would stayed behind. When Dean was asked about it, he simply said he needed a break, or not this one, or Dalton needs me. Missy knew better, something wasn't right and it was bothering him. She was determined to figure this out. Here lately, Dean wasn't acting like himself.

"Dean?" Missy asked, as she glanced down at her ring. She knew where to find him. In the garage, tuning up the Impala.

"Yeah, Babe?" Dean answered, as he worked underneath the Impala.

"You sure, you're alright? I have no problems of you saving people, hunting things. The whole family business ordeal. Never did."

"I'm fine.I know. I just need some space is all." Dean responded in a convinced voice.

"Oh, okay. Well, I'm gonna to start on supper. Eileen is coming over. Sam called a few minutes ago. He finished up that case quickly and is on his way." Missy mentioned.

"Uh-huh," Dean spoke, but wasn't paying any attention to Missy's words.

"DEAN?" Missy questioned.

"You want to go for a ride?" Dean inquired, as he came into view. He stood in front of the Impala, in wait for her answer.

"Dean, you know I want to, but we gonna have company over. I need to start preparing the food."

"It won't take long. Please?" Dean asked in a childish way.

The two entered the Impala and took off. Missy drove while Dean grinned. Missy hadn't forgot how smoothly Baby glided on the road. It had been ages, since she sat in the driver's seat. Even though, Missy would take the Tang to places, Baby will be her favorite. To be honest, she couldn't really choose. The Impala, she just had more memories with. She like any classic cars. Baby was family to her, too.

"WOW! She sounds so beautiful!" Missy exclaimed.

"Don't she!" Dean beamed proudly. In a soft voice, he added, " I miss this- The- I-"

Missy found a wide spot and turned off and put the car in parked. Go on...I'm here," she said in comfort.

"Missy...It's just...Well, I miss the long drives...The hunts...Danger...Hell, I even miss the monsters!" Dean admitted. Missy sighed inside.

He continued. "The reason I took a break was I didn't want our son to go through this. I didn't want him to think, because I did it that he had to, too. I didn't want him to endure what Sammy and me has. I thought maybe if I tired to ignore the urge it would go away, but it hasn't. This is who I am. I heard you one night, you told him about your true self. Missy, you was calm and cool when you presented it to him. Dalton took it all in as it was a merely fairy tale story. I don't know why I am having a hard time with this, on what to tell him.

"Dean I- It's-"

"Missy, I don't know want him to know about that type of lifestyle, nor do I want to pushed it on him. I want Dalton to be a doctor, lawyer, hell working at a regular job would suit me."

"Dean, you and I both know what's out there. Land and Sea. We can't pretend it's a safe bubbly world. But I agree If he would choose another occupation, I would be fine with it." Missy mentioned.

Dean let out a heavy breath.

"Dean, I know and understand the reason why you missed the hunts, the chases. I not once said you had to quit or want you to stop. If you are worried about my safety-Don't! Okay? I'm not your normal human woman." Missy said and winked. " Dalton is strong. He'll be alright."

Missy placed her hand on Dean's cheeks."Things will be fine. Wait and see."

Dean closed his eyes to savor her touch. He put his hand on hers and replied, "I'll try."

Missy kissed Dean, where then he returned it. Followed by, it escalated to a more passionate scene.

"We should head back," Missy spoke, as she tried to get air back into her lungs.

"Hmm. I am hungry. But not for food." Dean revealed, then smirked.

"Really now?"

"Mmm-hmm" Dean rejoined, as he kissed her lips and put her down on to the seats.

Once back at the Bunker, Missy had told Sam that Dean was back on board and give him the thumbs out.

Sam and Missy knew it was one of Dean's hard act on that he does.

Missy had prepared steak, baked potatoes, salad and rolls. The meal smelled and looked heavenly delicious; it also tasted good, too.

Eileen knew now what the boys did for a living. At first, she didn't believe it til one night she had her own experienced in the paranormal. Which she was more than happy to tell Missy about it.

Missy admitted it was nice to meet another woman who she could discuss the supernatural things with. Sometimes men can have a different view on it. Eileen agreed by the use of sign language. Missy had asked her to teach her to sign language. In the sign language, Eileen said, sure. Both women laughed.

Hours went by, and Eileen realized how late it was getting. She commented on how good the food was. Eileen told them that she would stay longer, but she had work in the morning.

Thereafter, Missy had cleaned up from the previous meal. Dean and Sam, both had check on Dalton, but not at the same time. He was into reading a was hard to believe he was going on ten years old. Even though, its been actually four years since his birth. Alas, Dalton took some after his mom's traits on the growing fast.

The good news was the rapid growth had stopped and he was aging like a normal human child should. Which his parents and uncle was relieved at this. Dalton was the spinning image of his father. In so many ways, he was just like him, including the attitude.

Sam and Dean had entered in the same room as Missy. The boys was in discussion when they was interrupted by Sam's cell phone ringing.

"Hello?" Sam asked.

"Is this the Winchesters?" Came a frightened young male's voice.

"Yes. Who is this?"

"You don't know me, but I know- Well, I've heard of you guys and the type of work you do. The Supernatural type of work. Please! I need your help! What's happening in my town is-It's hard to explain! Please, come quick!"

"Calm down. It's gonna to be okay. Just breathe. Where are you located?" Sam questioned. Next, he motioned to Dean to get a pen and paper, which took only seconds. Sam, then wrote down the information.

"Alright. Got it. Yeah. We'll be right there!" Sam said and ended the call.

"Who was that? And what did they say?" Dean asked.

"Someone in need of our help. You ready?" Sam requested.

"Sure am. Let's do this! We got work to do!" Dean expressed, and went over to Missy. The most beautiful woman who accepted him and his line of work. She understood how important this was to him. Missy was different than the women in his past. She had encouraged him to continue to do what was right or what he wanted to do. Besides her beauty, Missy was strong, smart and well-stubborn.

Meanwhile, Sam had texted Eileen and let her know he be gone for a few days and he would keep in touch. She replied back to him to be careful.

"Dean? Shouldn't you be getting something?" Missy mentioned.

"Oh! Right!"

Missy had joined him in the 'Gear Room.' She watched as Dean stuffed the huge duffel bag with well known and used items. While he did this, Missy checked on Dalton. Next, he turned and went into the library to retrieved a document.

Suddenly, Dean was started by someone in the room; it was Dalton.

"Dad, what's all these books for? I asked mom and she said to ask you." Dalton questioned and then noticed the duffel bag in his father's grip. "Dad, where are you going?"

Dean kneel down, so he could see his son, better. Dalton was so smart, Missy had taught him all she knew, but he needed to be in school. Now, that Dalton is growing like a boy should, maybe he could attend a nearby school.

Dean quickly glanced at the bookshelves that had a neat stack of files, plus the updated ones. All the cases of so far solved by the Man of Letters, Winchesters and Bobby. Dean wouldn't lie to him.

"Well, son. These here are cases that your Uncle Sammy and myself solved, plus so many others. We helped people, by hunting things, saving people the family business.

"Really? Like what?" Dalton quizzed.

"Well, you might say we are Supernatural-ghost hunters. We find it and fix it. Might even destroy it."

"WOW! That is so cool!" Dalton proclaimed.

Missy entered the room after the search for her sneaky boy. She halted at the door frame. Now, she knew where her two boys were at. Missy listened to Dean's words and acknowledged how well he spoke about his life.

Directly, Sam came in where they was at and mocked Missy's stance.

"Ah! The good ol' days!" Sam commented, as he viewed the files.

"Uncle Sammy!" Dalton said, cheerful.

Sam smiled at his nephew and walked over to him and patted his head gently. The boy looked up at him and beamed. Then, Sam went to the fridge to get a bottle of water, and opened it. It was such a hot day today. Beer would make the thirst worst.

Dalton approached his father.

"Dad?"

"Hmm?"

"I know you said I didn't have to take the path you and Uncle Sammy are on. But if I ever do choose and it's that way. Do you think I'll be a good hunter like you one day?"

Dean chuckled softly. "Yeah, I do. But if you choose this life. There is no going back. I want you to choose for you, not why or what Sammy and me does. Whichever you decide, I'll be proud no matter what. I don't want this to be pressure on you that you have to do it, because you don't have to. Dalton, my son you have a choice.

The boy only nodded and replied, "Can I ask another question?"

"Sure, son."

"Can I go with you? I would like to see what Uncle Sammy and you do. Please?"

Dean glanced over at Missy. This woman had brought and opened so much in his life. All at this moment, took Dean back in time when his father and himself had discussed their first "hunt" conversation. The always protect his brother Sammy, which he always will. It was one of the many memories that he had with his father.

"Mom?" Dalton asked.

Missy peered over at Dean and returned with. "I think he's ready. It would be good for him to watch and see if he really wants to do this. Let this case help. Dean, you and Sammy won't always be here to deal with the family business. And if it ends with you two, then I am alright with it." Missy already knew what her son's decision was, like father like son. She wasn't going to tell Dean that, not yet anyways.

"Really mom?"

"If your father and uncle agrees, then it's alright with me," Missy answered.

For a while no one said a word. Sam had joined them, physical and mental in thought. It had surprised Dean at Missy's words, for she had been protective over their son. Sam and him wouldn't always be around that was true. He would NOT pushed Dalton into this lifestyle, like Sam and him was. Deep down, he already knew what path his son would take.

"Dad?" Dalton queried, to get his Dean's attention.

Dean peeked at this son. He had to hold back the tears, but choke out the following, "Yes, son. I just don't want you to think you have do this...I"

"I know. Dad?"

"Yes, son?"

"I love you!"

"Love you, too"

Dean viewed his boy and said, "Come on son. There is a special someone you need to meet."

"Who?" Dalton asked, as he followed his father into the garage.

"This is Baby. She has been there from the beginning. She is also part of this family. Baby has been with your old man and your grandfather. And she may be yours, one day." Dean spoke, pleased.

"Oh, Dad! She's beautiful! So we are taking her right?" Dalton questioned.

"That's my boy! Yes we are." Dean said, while Sam slightly chuckled.

Dean went to the trunk and opened it. As he remembered, everything was in its certain place. He would have to teach Dalton that, he smiled and before he closed the lid he said, "We got work to do."

Missy had reentered the room with Dalton's items in a backpack for the road ahead. She put them in the backseat.

At this time, Dean, Sam and Dalton had already seated themselves in the Impala and had buckled in.

"Hello Baby! You ready? It's so nice to be back! The other Baby said we could," Dean joked.

"Dean!" Missy retorted, and shook her head at him. She added, "Baby, keep the boys safe."

"Um...Mom? Is dad-Never mind," Dalton wondered, but changed his mind.

Dean took hold of the keys that was in the ignition. Next, he turned it and Baby rumbled to life.

"Oh, man! That sounds so good to my ears! Now son, there is one rule that your dad has. It is. Driver picks the music and shotgun shut his cakehole. This is something your Uncle Sammy never could grasped on.

Of course Dean was kidding. Dalton had already liked his father's music. As Dean told this he had already put a cassette in the player. Next, he twisted the knob to turn it up. The song, "Back in Black" by ACDC blasted through the speakers.

"Oh yeah!" Dean reacted, after he adjusted the volume a bit more.

Missy bent down to kiss Dean and then Dalton's cheeks.

"Ya'll be careful!" She said and joined with. "Dalton, you listened to your father and uncle!

"I will." Dalton answered.

"We will." Sam countered.

"Yeah. I've heard that before," Missy muttered. "Take care you guys!"

"You know us." Dean remarked.

""Yeah, I know! That's why I said that." Missy declared and giggled.

Dean smiled foolish at Missy and then put the car in drive and took off; as he left the rumble to echo. Missy stood there after they were gone. She closed the button to the garage. When she went to see the time it was, Missy noticed she had a missed call.

Miles down the road, Dean and Sam had explained some basic things to Dalton. He was taking in every word.

The sunshine bounced off Baby's clear coat, as it made her black paint shine brightly. As they went down the road, you could hear her sweet sound.

Dalton had asked so many easy questions, some simple explained, while others was not. Like the last one, Dean was about to speak when his cell caught his attention. With one hand on the steering wheel, he answered the call from Missy.

"What did we -or you do now?" Dean teased. He had wondered if something had happened. Some how, Missy had become to the female version of Bobby; stubborn, protective, research methods. She was just much prettier than Bobby was. Missy knew the boys missed Bobby, maybe one day they all could see him.

Missy's tone was worried and Dean was puzzled at her response.

"Dean, please come back alright. All of you."

"What's wrong, Missy?" Dean asked, he knew something was up.

Missy ignored his question. "If you want to see the birth of your child. You-" Missy paused, as she let her words sink in. When he didn't say anything she spoke the following.

"Dean, I'm pregnant!"

Dean knew what she meant the first time she had mentioned it. He was just shocked and happy at the same time.

"Are you serious?...Yes ma'am...I know..Yes..That's wonderful..Yeah, I agree they should..Okay...Love you, too." Then he hung up.

Sam and Dalton only heard Dean's words.

"What did Missy say?" Sam asked.

"I think I know," Dalton grinned, eagerly and excited.

"Sammy, our family keeps getting bigger." Dean replied, excited.

Sam's eyes grew wide as he realized what the news was about and added, "Congrats!"

"Thanks Uncle Sammy!" Dean jest.

"Hey, I don't mind being called an Uncle." Sam pointed out.

"I know you don't. Missy already knows what the sex of the baby is." Dean mentioned.

"How?" Sam questioned, perplexed. "I thought she didn't-"

"She don't. Missy called in that favor to the council that they own her. From all the hassle they created towards her."

""Wow! And?"

"A girl. A daughter," commented Dean.

"A baby sister. I wonder how she be like," Dalton wondered out-loud.

"We'll know soon." Dean said, as he looked into the rear view mirror at his son.

"I hope she like her mother," Sam admitted.

"Why do you say that?"

"Because you eat, and talk too much." Sam mentioned, while Dalton giggled in the back.

"I promise that when she gets closer time. I will stay there with her. To be by her side."

"We all will be," Sam included.

"And me, " Dalton alleged.

"Let's take care of this case and go home." Dean conveyed, and the boys nodded in agreement.

The song, "Burning for you" by Blue Oyster Colt" played in the background, as the Impala went farther down the highway.
