Chapter 11: Route 5
After leaving the cave, the group finds themselves at Route 5, Theo says, "Even though it is thanks to you guys that we manage to get out of there, but now I am going to rain myself so I can beat you next time."
"Sure." Ash says as Theo rushes off. Serena asks, "So what are we going to do now?"
"I think we should capture some new Pokemon." Ash says as they notice a Mareep, Ash says, "You know, I always wanted an Ampharos, since I know that it is powerful."
"I agree." Serena says, "So are you going to capture that Mareep?"
"Of course." Ash says as he sends out Birbie, much to their surprise, "Ash? Birbie is a Flying Type? Don't you think it is not good against Mareep?"
"But it is close to evolve, I have a plan." Birbie nods as it starts using Flash, confusing the Pokemon, Mareep tries to use Thunder Shock, but Birbie dodges the attack, and in the end, Birbie uses Sing to make it asleep and Ash tosses the Pokeball, capturing the Pokemon.
Mareep: The Wool Pokemon: Electric Type. Its fluffy wool rubs together and builds a static charge. The more energy is charged, the more brightly the lightbulb at the tip of its tail glows.
And also Birbie evolves after the battle, it becomes a bigger bird Pokemon and Ash also scans it.
Aveden: The Bliss Bird Pokemon: Normal and Flying Type. Evolved from Birbie at LV:17. The blue feathers on its chest reflect light. They use flashes to communicate with one another in the forest canopy.
Serena says, "Good for you, Ash. I think I really like a sheep Pokemon as well." As she looks around, she sees that not only there are Mareep here, they also see some black sheep like Pokemon. Serena asks, "What are those, Aurora?"
Aurora looks at the sheep and says, "Oh, they are Baashaun, a Dark and Fighting Type Pokemon."
"Dark Type...but I don't think it looks evil." Serena says, but then she notices a herd of 20 Baashaun are chasing the Kinetmunk. "Okay, it seems like they are fighting dirty."
"But not this one though." Ash says as he points at the one who is looking at Serena curiously. Serena smiles and takes out Fortog, poisoning it with the Sludge and then she captures it with a Pokeball.
"I caught it." Serena smiles as she scans the Pokemon.
Baashaun: The Hard Horn Pokemon: Dark and Fighting Type. It loves to fight dirty, and uses dark-type attacks to destroy its foes. They are found in gangs of 20 or more.
And much to Serena's surprise, Fortog also evolves, it becomes darker and bigger.
Folerog: The Long Toad Pokemon: Water and Poison Type. Evolved from Fortog at LV:18. Folerog can't swim but they need to remain damp to survive, so they are found in grasslands next to rivers and lakes.
"A Water Type Pokemon who can't swim? That is something I haven't heard of..." Serena says.
"Well, I know a friend of mine who has a Psyduck that can't swim as well, so don't worry about it." Ash says.
"By the way, since we are here, why don't we take a rest?" Aurora says as they arrive at the beach, "If you want to go to the East Tandor, you can just go from here, this sea route is Route 12."
"That's cool." Ash says as they decide to put a tent at the beach while sending out a lot of Pokemon to play. While Firoke and two Sponee are getting along, they notice a yellow and brown striped bug like Pokemon approaching them.
"Um...hello?" The bug asks with a timid tone, and the male Sponee asks, "What are you doing here?"
"I notice you guys are together, were you perhaps traveling with a trainer or else?" The Bug asks.
"Why yes, we have trainers who are over there preparing our meal." Firoke says, "Do you want to meet them?"
The Pokemon nods as they bring the bug in front of Ash and Serena. "What's wrong? You guys?" Ash asks, and then they notice the bug Pokemon.
"Oh my, it is a Tricwe." Aurora says, "With Smore and Sponee, the three bugs are very common in the Anthell."
"Anthell? What is that place?" Serena asks in confusion. Aurora says, "Don't worry, we aren't going there yet. It is actually located inside a forest of Route 10. And if you think about it, Smore can become Fire Type, Sponee can become Water Type, and for this Tricwe, it is Electric Type."
"So when you evolve, you will become an Electric Type." Ash says, and this causes Pikachu to greet the Pokemon. Tricwe hasn't seen a Pikachu before, so it gets easily frightened as it hides behind Ash's leg. "Don't worry, Pikachu won't hurt you." Ash says with a smile. And the bug Pokemon decides to peek out of its leg and greet the Pokemon.
After getting used to all the Pokemon in present, Ash decides to capture the Pokemon, and it agrees.
Tricwe: The Shock Bug Pokemon: Bug Type. Related to Smore and Sponee, Tricwe is very hyperactive and loves nothing better than sneaking up behind trainers and scaring them.
"But you are acting the opposite...why is that?" Ash asks.
"I tried to scare a Baashaun, but I failed and I got scared in the end. I guess I tasted my own medicine..." Tricwe says as Ash says, "Don't worry, we will help you get your confidence back." Ash says as the Pokemon nods.
At the same time, Team Rocket is wandering around the other side of Route 5, "Now where did those twerps go?" Jessie mutters.
Meowth asks, "But shouldn't we find those Nuclear Pokemon that the boss wants?"
"I want to get that Pikachu first! How come we always be the ones that fail in the end and not the other way around?" Jessie yells at the two males, causing them to sigh.
"Wobbuffet!" The Pokemon pops out of the Pokeball and Jessie glares at him, "Who tells you to come out now!" She quickly recalls him and then they spot a Pokemon in front of them. "And what are you looking at?"
Meowth asks, "James, what is that Pokemon?"
James take out his device and says, "This is called a Costraw..." But then he pales after seeing the description.
"What's wrong?" But before Meowth can ask, the Pokemon just latch onto Meowth and starts to suck on his life force. "Hey get off me!" Meowth tries to resist, but eventually it gets weak as it falls down on the floor.
"Meowth!" Jessie and James try to separate the two, but in vain, Jessie groans and then she takes out a Pokeball and hit it on the Pokemon, much to their surprise is that it is successfully captured.
"I caught a new Pokemon!" Jessie cheers.
"No way..." James says in surprise. And Meowth gets a little better and he asks, "What is that Pokemon's problem?"
"It latches onto its foes and sucking out their life force." James says, causing Meowth to pale. But Jessie says, "But I got an idea." Then they whisper in their ears and they grin.
Back at Ash's group, Ash has been using his Gloves to perform Close Combat on the tree, the tree falls down, but Ash just sits down on the ground and Serena asks, "Ash? Are you alright?"
"I think so...Close Combat really lowers my defense and special defense..." Ash says. "I don't think I am going to use this move more often."
"I know." Aurora says, "Now that you have mastered four kinds of Aura Weapons, there are 14 more."
"I know." Ash says as he turns to Serena. "Oh Serena, I have an offer for you."
Serena notices Ash grins at her, she starts to have a bad feeling about this. "What are you thinking, Ash?"
Suddenly, Ash picks Serena with bridal style, causing her to eep a little. "Ash, put me down this instant."
"Nope, you are going to hold me tight." Ash says as suddenly he grows wings and starts to fly in the air, Serena starts to scream at the fact that how high she is with Ash.
"What are you doing Ash? This is too high!" Serena closes her eyes in fear at how high they are, "Relax, Serena. I am not going to let you go, just watch at the view of the ocean."
Serena opens her left eye and she is amazed at how blue the sea is, and she blushes knowing how Ash is holding her. After a while, they land back at the beach and Serena gives him a playful slap on the face.
"Never try to do that to me again, Ash Ketchum. Do you know how scared I am?"
"I am sorry." Ash says. "Will you forgive me?"
Serena's mock anger is gone and she says, "You know, I really can't stay mad at you. But next time you should have warned me first."
As for their Pokemon, they are confused at what Ash did to fly in the air, Aurora says, "That is his Flying Aura, which forms as wings as weapons. It also gives him the ability to fly in the sky without any problem."
The other Pokemon are amazed at the fact that their trainer can do such things, but their amazement ends when a net suddenly captures the Pokemon.
"What?" Ash and Serena are shocked as they see the familiar balloon coming from the air.
"Prepare for trouble!" "And make it double."
"To protect the world from devastation." "To unite our people within our nation."
"To denounce the evils of truth and love." "To extend our reaches to the starts above."
"Jessie." "James." "Team Rocket blast off with the speed of light." "Surrender now, or prepare for a fight." "Meowth, that's right." "Wobbuffet!"
Ash and Serena groan once more and Ash says, "And just when we defeated them back in the cave, they have already come here for revenge."
"Now we will be taking those Pokemon with us." Jessie yells as they are about to retreat, but Ash says, "Pikachu, use Thunderbolt on the net."
As Pikachu tries to do the attack, it doesn't work as Meowth says, "We used the net that has no use against Electric moves, you have no chance to break it."
Ash groans and he says, "How could I forget about it, this is just a waste of time. Aveden, if you can hear me, use Peck on the net."
Aveden nods and pecks it, causing the net to break and the Pokemon jumps from the net. "Hey! That's not fair."
Ash says, "Okay, let's blast them off, Pikachu, use Quick Attack!" But as Pikachu is charging at the balloon, Jessie says, "Costraw, come on out and use Confusion to stop it."
Just then, the Pokemon manages to stop Pikachu and sends it back down to the ground. "Pikachu!"
"What is that Pokemon?" Serena asks. "It's a Costraw." Aurora replies as Ash scans the Pokemon.
Costraw: The Sucker Pokemon: Poison and Psychic Type. At this stage of development, Costraw's telekinetic powers are weak. It instead defends itself by latching onto its foes and sucking out their life force.
"Use Leech Life!" Jessie says as the Costraw latch itself on Pikachu, absorbing its energy. "Oh no, Mareep, help him out by using Take Down."
The Pokemon manages to knock the Costraw down to the ground, and both Pokemon use Discharge to send it back to the balloon, causing the balloon to break and they yell, "We're blasting off again."
Once they are gone, Mareep also evolves into a Flaaffy, much to Ash's delight.
Flaaffy: The Wool Pokemon: Electric Type. Evolved from Mareep at LV:15. Its fleece quality changes to generate strong static electricity with a small amount of wool. The bare, slick parts of its hide are shielded against electricity.
"Nice, Flaaffy." Ash says as the Pokemon hugs him, and the two females are looking at the two with a smile along with the other Pokemon.
Here is another new chapter, I am going to say that Team Rocket would appear in one route or caves each chapter. And they will be capturing an amount of Pokemon as well. I hope you like it.
