A Lot Can Happen In A Day

The next morning, Olivia carefully slid out of bed and picked up the first thing her hands found on the floor. She wanted to watch the sunrise. It had been too long since she had been able to do so. Very quietly tiptoeing out of the bedroom, Olivia made her way to the bathroom to relieve her screaming bladder. She quietly closed the door and flipped the switch on the wall, causing the small room to fill with bright light. It was a stark contrast to the darkness in the rest of the indoor space, and she had to squeeze her eyes tightly to keep from momentarily going blind.

As she sat on the toilet, she pulled whatever item of clothing she had retrieved from the floor on her body. She cracked one eye open and glanced down once it was on and smiled. She had gotten Fitz's white dress shirt. Inhaling deeply, his scent filled her nostrils. It started out a pleasant smell, but quickly soured, making her feel ill. She quickly wiped and flushed before turning around and throwing up the contents of last night's late room service.

Olivia stilled to see if that was the end of it or if there was more to come up. It seemed to be over for now. She prayed that Fitz hadn't heard it. She flushed the toilet once again and pulled the lid down before turning to sit on top of it. Taking an unsteady breath, Olivia put a hand lovingly on her flat belly and spoke softly. "You can't do that whenever you want to. We've talked about this little one. I still haven't told your daddy about you yet."

Feeling infinity better now that her stomach was empty, and wondering if this was the new normal for the next several months, Olivia got to her feet. The first order of business was to get rid of the horrific taste in her mouth. Unscrewing the lid of the mouthwash, she filled a small paper cup with the green liquid and poured it in. As it swished, burning half of her taste buds off in the process, Olivia put a line of blue toothpaste onto her toothbrush.

After her teeth were clean, she turned the light off and slowly pulled the door open. A scream pierced the quiet dark space as Fitz's grinning face appeared on the other side of the door. She swatted his chest with one hand and put the other one protectively to her belly. Her maternal instincts were already kicking in. "Fitz! You scared the shit out of me!"

He chuckled at her reaction before gently pulling her into his arms. Her heart was beating a mile a minute. "I'm sorry. I couldn't resist. I heard you get up."

In no time, Secret Service banged on the door until it was opened. They watched Mr. Grant quickly move their tiny boss behind his back in order to prevent them from seeing her in her current state of undress. The view of Mr. Grant in nothing but his underwear wasn't a pleasant one either. Still, they looked him in the eye. Jeffery cleared his throat uncomfortably and stated, "we heard the President scream."

Olivia held onto Fitz's sides and poked her head around his body. "I'm sorry about that, gentlemen. Mr. Grant thought it would be funny to scare me. I'm fine."

"Are you sure?" They asked, trying to get a better look at her, without accidentally seeing anything they didn't need or want to see.

"Absolutely. He's not going to do that again on this trip. Are you, Fitz?"

"Actually, I had plans to scare you out in the water once it got dark tonight. Make you think something was nibbling on your legs." Fitz began in a serious tone.

"Fiiiiiiitz." Olivia warned as she crossed her arms across her chest.

"Fine. I won't do that. I'm sorry guys."

Jeffery and Tom nodded curtly and left the bungalow for the one they were sharing with five other agents.

Fitz turned around to face her once they were alone again. "Why aren't you still sleeping?"

"I wanted to watch the sunrise, and I was trying to be polite and not to wake you up, but I had to pee." Olivia hugged him tightly, feeling the cool air from the air conditioner blow across her bare legs. "Mmmm, you're nice and warm."

He smiled to himself and held her even closer. These quiet mundane moments with her were few and far between. It was pure bliss to be able to simply enjoy this one with her now.

"Come on. The sun is going to rise soon and I don't want to miss it."

"Go get the chair warm. I've got to pee first too." Fitz pecked her lips and watched her go out the sliding glass doors.

Instead of going to the bathroom, Fitz went to the closet in their bedroom. He pulled the door open and squatted down in front of the small safe on the floor just inside. His large but nimble fingers entered Olivia's birthday to unlock it and then he pulled the metal door open. Sitting inside was a small velvet box he was dying to present to her. Grabbing it up, he went into the bathroom where he emptied his own bladder and brushed his teeth. Proposals meant excited kisses and Fitz was going to be prepared. He pulled on a pair of shorts and slid the ring box inside the left pocket.

The small light on the outer wall of their bungalow gave enough light for him to spot Olivia. She was stretched out on one of the padded lounge chairs, looking completely at home. She seemed to be absorbing the peace and quiet in the still dark morning hour. She was sexy as hell wearing nothing but his dress shirt, and he momentarily considered talking her back into bed. His brain reminded him that she wanted to watch the sun come up this morning. His libido could wait until later. Besides, he had a plan to carry out. He went to the lounge chair beside hers and got comfortable on it.

She reached her hand over towards him and felt his much larger one cover hers. Still looking expectantly skyward Olivia intertwined their fingers and said, "this is amazing."

"What? The dark?"

"MmmHmm. Everything is still and quiet and mysterious. It's kind of scary, not being able to see what's going on around you, to be able to adjust to your surroundings, but in a few minutes, this same scenery will all be completely different. Once the light appears, everything is bright. It's a new beginning for everyone and everything. Like...a fresh start. It's pretty exciting. You know what I mean?"

"I do." Fitz turned his head in her direction and just looked at her silently for a few moments. She had effectively just explained everything about their relationship without realizing it. It was time. "Liv?"

"Hmmm?" She asked absentmindedly without taking her focus off of the sky.

"I need to talk to you about something."

She turned to look at him. "This sounds serious. Is everything alright?"

"It is serious." He wasn't the least bit nervous. Every bone in his body was full of confidence that her answer would be a resounding yes when he popped the question. He loved her and she loved him. They had waited a very long time to be together. Really together. Without any obstacles. "The past year and a half has really tested us in unimaginable ways. We've suffered the risk of exposure, we lost our baby, and I learned that I have a fierce jealous streak when it comes to you. I've watched you work yourself to exhaustion as I struggled to not become another unnecessary voice in your head."

"And I've watched you team up with Cyrus. Something I thought was a sign of the apocalypse." Olivia added with a chuckle.

"No one was more shocked at that than I was." He brought her hand to his mouth and kissed her knuckles. "We've had some dark times in our relationship. Hell, even before this was a relationship and it wasn't ideal for us to feel this way, those emotions were always there, and they are still there. I love you, Liv."

"I love you too, Fitz."

Over her shoulder, Fitz saw the sky begin to light up. The sun was still unseen but it wouldn't be for long, and Olivia wanted to watch it. He could wait another ten or fifteen minutes. Pointing to the sky, he said, "look! Here comes the sun."

Olivia whipped her head around and watched the sky go from a sad shade of gray to seeing a bright yellow arc appear on the horizon. It grew slowly as the sun poked up from the imaginary line that seemed to separate the water and the sky. The gray turned to pretty shades of purples and blues. The brilliant yellow light chased the darkness out of the sky completely the moment the orb became visible.

"Wooooow." Olivia breathed out, full of awe. It really had been awhile since she had watched the sun come up. Such a simple thing she had taken for granted for far too long. She let go of Fitz's hand to shade her eyes from the sun's powerful rays.

The sun seemed to scatter the clouds as it rose higher in the sky. The water moved unrushed towards the shore, seeming content to be kissed by the large ball of heat moving in place to provide light for the world for another day.

Fitz thought the scene was very pretty, but he watched it with little interest. At the moment he was completely absorbed with watching Olivia's reaction to the sunrise. She really was content with the little things in life. Being reminded of that made him want to provide for her all the little things she loved, all of the time. He spotted Olivia's phone on the small table that sat between the top of their chairs. He quietly picked it up and took a picture of her watching the sunrise. He sent the photo to his own phone before putting hers back down.

"That was gorgeous! I'm so glad I got up early to watch it." Olivia was beaming when she turned to look at him. Feeling on top of the world, and a little bit brave, she said, "can I say something?"

"Of course."

"You touched on a few things that have been on my mind a lot lately."

"I did?" he asked.

Olivia nodded. "Our story is important. It began even though it shouldn't have. You and I have loved each other for a very long time. It wasn't a fling and it wasn't just lust or sex. It's real and lasting. It's all consuming sometimes, and all I can think about is you. Being with you, hearing about your day, telling you that I love you, seeing your smile..."

She took his hand again. "Holding your hand. They are all small things, like the sunrise, that I don't take the time to appreciate near as much as I should. To me the small things are the most wonderful and mean the most. I'm...not really explaining myself right."

Getting to her feet gave Olivia time to think of the right words to say to him.

Fitz hesitantly got to his own feet and went to stand in front of her. She was trying to tell him something and seemed to need a minute to get her thoughts in order. He quietly and patiently waited for whatever it was that she had to say.

She looked up at him. "What I mean is, if I could go back in time and change anything about us, I wouldn't. Everything that has happened in our lives led us right here."

"I agree, and I feel exactly the same way." Olivia swallowed hard. Just do it, her brain ordered sternly. She nodded to herself. "Whenever I look to the future, I see you. Always you. And I want you to be beside me in our bright future."

A look of confusion crossed Fitz's face. This was sounding a lot like a...His eyes doubled in size and he dropped her hands as if they were on fire. "No!"

Olivia jerked her head back, as if she'd been slapped across the face and shot him a defiant look. "Don't you tell me no!"

He dragged both hands slowly through his wind tousled curls as he looked down at his bare feet for the right words, even though he already knew them. When he finally lifted his head, he pierced her with a look as his left index finger pointed at her accusingly. "What are you doing right now?"

She shot him an incredulous look. "I'm trying to pro..."

He went to her and covered her mouth with his hand. "Are you kidding me?"

She pulled away from his hand and scowled at him. "What the hell is wrong with you? No, I'm not kidding!"

He stared at her. The warm breeze kicking off the water was whipping her curls every which way. The hem of the dress shirt she was wearing was in constant motion, much like her hair, and...Well, damn. He had just fucked up her proposal to him. He was a modern man, and she was most definitely a modern woman. If she wanted to pop the question to him, good for her. He couldn't help the goofy smile that covered his face. What were the odds that she did it the same day he intended to though?

"What is there to smile about right now, Fitz?" she angrily asked.

"Nothing. I'm sorry." he held his hands up, palms toward her with his smile still in place. "I will shut up right now."

God, she was beautiful. "What were you saying?"

"Never mind." She turned around and began stalking away.

The chuckle that bubble up from his throat couldn't be helped. She was so damn cute when she pouted. He went after her. When he was standing in front of her he saw a tear fall down her cheek. The humor inside of him died immediately. "Shit, Liv. I'm sorry. Please don't cry."

She wiped the tear away quickly. "Why couldn't you have just stood there for a minute or two and just listened to what I had to say?"

"Because I'm an asshole." He admitted, feeling like shit. "Will you please tell me now, if I promise to not say a word?"

"I think the moment has passed." She stepped around him and made her way towards the sliding glass door.

"Olivia Po..." He'd almost yelled her last name. It would have been bad for the locals to know the American President was staying in the very vocal hut nearby. Instead, he kept it simple. "Stop walking!"

She couldn't explain why, but her feet stopped moving. Damn them for their loyalty to Fitz.

Once again, he went to stand in front of her. He ran his hands up and down her arms. "I'm sorry, Liv. Will you please tell me what you had to say now? I really want to hear every word of it and I promise not to say anything until you're done."

She studied his face. He was serious. It couldn't get any worse now, right? She'd come this far. "I love you. Does that scare you?"

"What? No! Of course it doesn't."

"I've waited such a long time for the two of us to get to where we are now. Free and untangled. Willing and ready. I was patient and jumped through the hoops that were required of me, but now I'm done. Really done." She rushed ahead, barely taking a breath, afraid that the moment might be ruined again. "I want to marry you and have lots of babies with you, Fitz. I want to grow old with you, and spend every day pinching myself because you are my husband."

There it was. She had poured her heart out to him. It all came down to those four little words. Deep breath in. Let it out now, Liv, her brain told her. "Will you marry me?"

What a woman! She was holding something in the palm of her hand, but Fitz didn't see it. He couldn't stop looking at her face. She looked like a warrior with the bright colors of nature all around her with her hair flapping in the wind, and the serious look on her face. He memorized everything about her right now so he could always remember it later to tell their kids. This woman was going to be his wife!

He smiled softly at her. "Yes. I will."

Tears fell down her cheeks and Olivia gave a watery chuckle before launching herself into his arms. Fitz held her tight before letting go and kissing her tenderly. "I love you."

"I love you too. More than I can explain." She told him between kisses. She stopped abruptly and handed him the item that was still in her hand. "Oh! I have something for you. Here."

"What's this? It's too big to be an engagement ring."

"You're not really a ring kind of guy. But you will wear your wedding band! I didn't know what to get you for my proposal, so I bought you a watch. It's engraved too. Look."

Fitz turned the expensive piece over in his hand and squinted at the fancy small font.

I wait for you. I watch for you. My whole life is you. I can't breathe because I'm waiting for you. You own me, you control me, I belong to you.

He cleared his throat in an effort to clear away the emotion that was beginning to constrict his breathing. He was close to tears. "Wow. This is...this is beautiful. I love it. Thank you so much, Liv."

"You're welcome." She replied with a smile. Seeing him cry made her feel more comfortable with her own tears. "Let me put it on you."

"Yea, okay." He held out his wrist and watched her fasten it. He looked down at the face of the watch, and then looked again. He tapped the face of it before looking back at her. "I think it needs a new battery. It's not keeping time."

Olivia smiled at him. "It's not broken. It's set to the time we met years ago when you became my fixer."

He gently pulled her into his arms and held her tightly. "That's absolutely perfect. I love it. I love you."

She got up on her tiptoes and tilted her head back to kiss him again. Her fiancé. "I love you too." Olivia had no sooner opened her mouth, than she broke the kiss. "Wait! Why were you freaking out earlier? Acting like a crazy person with your hand over my mouth?"

"Oh. That." He put a hand on her waist and led her into a waltz right there on the balcony, sans music. "I was going to propose to you this morning."

Olivia stilled in his arms immediately. And then she moved at warp speed. She was out of his arms in a flash. "What do you mean, you were going to propose to me?"

"That's kind of self explanatory, don't you think, Liv?" He tried pulling her back into his arms to continue their music-less dance, but she wasn't having it.

"Did you get a ring? Is it here? I want to see it!"

He chuckled at her as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a velvet box. He watched Olivia's brown lasers lock onto it. "Of course, I have a ring. I was going to propose to you out here before the sun came up. But the sun and your proposal beat me to it. It was...momentarily disappointing. That's why I acted the way I did. After I thought about it though, I'm honored that you proposed to me. It's very modern and romantic."

"MmHmm. Can I see my ring?" She asked impatiently with a huge grin.

His smile doubled and Fitz handed her the small box. Olivia gasped once she got it opened, and plucked the magnificent ring from the soft slit it was nestled inside of. "I've been looking for the perfect ring for you, but it's been a challenge since your hand is so tiny."

"Oh my gosh. I adore it." She told him softly as she continued to look at it.

"Huck did a lot of the legwork."

That made her head snap up. "Huck? What does he have to do with this?"

"Before I get to that, let's get one thing clear. He doesn't get any credit for this. It was all my idea. My doing. He just went inside the jewelry store and took a personal look for me. Do you understand what I'm saying?"

"Yes, but I'm confused. Why couldn't you look at it yourself?" She asked, still looking down at her ring.

"Because I bought the diamond in Ohio. Huck picked it up for me since he was already there."

Once again, her head snapped up to look at him. This time it was disbelief.

"I wanted the diamond to come from your home state. It's another little thing, but it was important to me for you to have your roots represented."

"Dammit! Stop making me cry!" she blubbered, dabbing at her eyes.

"I'm sorry." He replied with a grin. "Would you like to try it on now? Or did you want to look at it some more?"

"No, no, no. I've waited a very long time for this particular piece of jewelry." She answered giddily. "Please put it on my finger."

Fitz took the tiny band from her fingers into his own. Holding onto her left hand, he slid the ring onto her small slender finger. It was a perfect fit. His hands went to her cheeks and he leaned down to brush his lips across hers in a kiss as velvety soft as the box her ring was in a moment ago. "I want the shortest engagement in history please."

She nodded excitedly before kissing him again.

Fitz started leading Olivia inside back toward the bed when she abruptly stopped, causing their teeth to bump. He brought a hand to his mouth. "Owww, Liv! Why'd you stop like that?"

"I'm sorry." She asked the only question that would have him smiling in no time. "Did I hurt my handsome fiancé?"

The proud grin that covered his face at hearing her call him her fiancé was ridiculously large. "Mmmm, say that again."

She overexaggerated the word, saying it flirtatiously. "My handsome fiancé."

His grin stayed in place. "We might have to drag the engagement out just so I can hear you call me that a little longer than necessary."

"Uh uh!" Olivia replied. "I just had an idea!"

"What is it?" He pulled her into his arms and chuckled lightly as he nibbled on her neck. "Is it sex? I could get behind that kind of idea."

Her brain was getting fuzzy. It always got fuzzy whenever Fitz got into her neck. He needed to stop! It went against every impulse her body was screaming for, but she pulled away from his mouth. "My fiancé said he would prefer to have the shortest engagement in history, right?"

Fitz grinned. "He did."

"What would you say to marrying me today. Right here in Bora Bora?"

"Whaaat?" he asked in disbelief. "When? I mean, where? How would we even pull that off? No one knows you're here, and you'd have to use your real name on a marriage license. That would send up a lot of red flags."

"President Richmond knows I'm here. He agreed to my request of no fanfare while I'm in his country. Buuuuut, if I reach out in an official capacity and make a request for a very small intimate wedding, and ask him to be a witness, I'll just bet he will be more than accommodating."

"You really want to get married here? I can wait until we get home. I mean, your wedding is supposed to be the event of the year since you're the President of the United States."

"No one at home even knows I'm engaged yet. They definitely won't be expecting a whole ass wedding. We can keep it our little secret for now and have the large formal over the top event sometime after we get back. As far as the place where we get married...that doesn't matter to me; as long as we're together." She hugged him tightly, excited that this was finally happening.

"I love that idea. You are killing this fiancé thing, by the way." He murmured into her ear.

"I am, aren't I?" She pulled out of his embrace and stood on her tiptoes.

"Are you sure though? Really sure? It's not like we have to have a shotgun wedding or something like that."

Olivia smiled up at him. If only he knew. "I'm sure. I don't want to wait another day to make you my husband. I really want this, Fitz."

A hush hush wedding would be another fun adventure for them. The look on Cy's face when he found out they were already married would be priceless. He grinned down at her before pecking her lips. "I'm in."

On an elated squeal, she wound her arms around his neck once again. "Here's the plan. You give me your thoughts as I talk it out."

"Tell me, fiancé."

"We get dressed. I stare at my beautiful ring for a few minutes. I take Secret Service and go speak to President Richmond and shmooze him a little, figure out a nice quiet spot and a time to have the ceremony. After I'm done with everything, I get into disguise and go find a white dress to wear for said wedding to my dashing fiancé. I send you the details and you meet me there at the appropriate time."

"And while you're doing all that, I will go find something suitable to wear for marrying the most eligible woman on Earth. Maybe a gift for President Richmond to show my thanks for hosting our wedding on such short notice in his beautiful country."

"Ooooh, that couldn't hurt." she agreed.

"We really are great together, aren't we?"

"The best." She agreed with a grin. "Okay, let's go get the show on the road."

"Uhhh, Liv? Aren't you forgetting something?"

Olivia furrowed her brow and thought her plan over, but couldn't think of anything they had missed. "Am I?"

"Two words." He leaned even closer and whispered them to her. "Celebratory sex."

Olivia chuckled at him. "Let me give you something to think about. Tonight, you'll be having sex with your wife."

He went quiet, looking as if in deep thought, and then puppy dog eyes quickly turned into a wolfish grin. "Waiting until tonight it is. But every time you text or call me, I'll need to hear or read the word fiancé."

Again, she chuckled at him, and then pulled him close for a heated kiss that almost had her rethinking the timeline of her plan. Luckily, her brain pulled her from her sexual fog. "The next time we kiss, it will be as husband and wife."

"That was our last single kiss." he told her playfully, and rubbed his nose against hers.

"Do you want a redo? To try to make it better?"

"Hell no! I'm really looking forward to kissing my wife." He shooed her inside. "Go get ready. I've got things to do."

Olivia stopped and looked over her shoulder at him. "Oh! I have a wedding gift for you."

"Wait. What? How? You didn't know we were getting married until five minutes ago?" he said, looking confused.

"I had brought you something for a just because gift, but it just turned into a wedding gift."

"Is a just because gift really good enough to be considered a wedding gift now?" Fitz teased.

She nodded with a funny little smile on her face. "You'll see. This gift is perfect."

They parted ways, Liv with five of her protected agents, Fitz with two of them. He supposed he would have to get used to having Secret Service with him at all times from now on, and that was going to take some getting used to. He explained his mission to the two men as they rode towards civilization in the back of a taxi. First stop was to find something to wear to his wedding.

While Fitz was dealing with his end of things, Olivia made some calls before heading out with her little group. The French Polynesian leader and his wife were very accommodating for the American President, and enchanted by being asked to be witnesses to her low key wedding while in his country. He showed her several places where she could hold the ceremony and Olivia chose the most simple. He found an officiant for the ceremony and expedited a marriage license.

"Perfect. All I have left to do is find a wedding dress." She told him.

"Of course you need a dress!" The leader's wife exclaimed. "Please allow me to have some brought here for you to choose from."

"Oh, I wouldn't want to impose, Mrs. Richardson." Olivia gushed. "The two of you have already done so much for us."

"I would be honored if you would allow me to take care of your dress for you, Madam President." She pressed. "I insist."

"That is most generous. Thank you so much. I'm truly grateful."

Mrs. Richmond contacted a favored dress designer and Olivia explained what she had in mind for a dress. She arrived an hour later with several dresses for the American President. Everyone was sworn to secrecy about the wedding.

At five p.m. Olivia was applying make up in the simple but elegant white gown she had chosen. It fit like a glove while still modest enough for a world leader to wear and look presentable. She knew Fitz would want a hint about what it looked like, so she took a picture of the corner of the dress, being careful to not give away any details of it, and sent it to her fiancé.

He text her to let her know he had arrived at President Richmond's vacation villa and that he was looking forward to seeing a lot more of her dress. He got himself dressed and made sure his phone was in his pocket. The watch Liv had bought him was fixed to his wrist, he checked his appearance once more, and then he headed to take his place to marry the love of his life.

Olivia read his message and put her phone into the miniscule clutch she planned to carry with her flowers. Taking a deep breath in while looking at her reflection, she smiled to herself and let it out. She was ready.

Tom walked her towards her groom, trying not to smile too proudly. She was marrying a good man who loved her and put her above all else, while recognizing her power as a leader and all around badass. Mr. Grant was a much better choice than the previous one had been. Tom didn't sense any nerves in the President. Something he took as a good sign. They would be a good team and have a great marriage.

Olivia caught sight of her fiancé and stopped in her tracks. He hadn't bought a suit for the private wedding, but had gotten a black tuxedo. He looked exceptionally handsome all dressed up and looking at her with so much love written clearly on his face. When she got to where he was, Tom released her arm and took his place with the other six agents as well as President and Mrs. Richardson.

"Hi." She said with a smile, as Fitz took her hands in his.

"Hi. You look so beautiful, Liv. I love your dress."

"You look quite handsome yourself." She told him with a wink. "Are you ready to do this?"

"I am."

The officiant began. "Please take each other's hands. I asked you to join hands as a symbol of the union that you are making here today. I'd like you to think about the hands that you are holding. These are the hands of your best friend holding your hand on your wedding day, promising to love you and work together as you build your future together.

These are the hands that will give you strength when you need strength, tenderness when you need tenderness, and love when you need love. These are the hands that will wipe the tears from your eyes countless times, tears of sorrow, but also tears of joy. These are the hands that will hold all those whom you love.

These are the hands that years from now will still be searching for your hands, still seeking the love, encouragement, and support that each of you seeks from each other now. Do you have rings?"

Fitz nodded, pulled the band from his pocket, and held onto Olivia's left hand.

"Repeat after me." The officiant began. "With this ring, I thee wed."

"With this ring, I thee wed." Fitz said, looking into Olivia's big brown eyes, as he slid the ring onto her finger.

"Now you repeat after me, Madam President." he instructed. "With this ring, I thee wed."

Olivia took the huge ring off her thumb and slid it onto Fitz left ring finger as she repeated the simple phrase.

"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride." The officiant, who had been forced to sign a non disclosure agreement beforehand, stated.

Fitz gently pulled Olivia into his arms and kissed her tenderly as everyone in attendance applauded. When their mouths finally parted, he rested his forehead against hers and said, "I love you, Liv and I promise to make you so happy every single day."

"We're finally married! I can't believe it!" She pecked his lips, wanting to linger in his arms for as long as he'd hold her. "I love you too, Fitz."

The two of them parted and shook hands with their few guests. Fitz presented the French Polynesian President with a gift. "It's very difficult to find a gift for a gracious man who seems to have everything. It is a very small token of thanks for all you and your wife have done to make today possible."

"Whatever is in this box smells heavenly." The French Polynesian President said.

"The only thing I could think of was giving you a slice of America. Nothing is more American that apple pie so I gave my grandmother's recipe to a baker nearby and asked her to make it. I didn't say who it was for, and I didn't sample it myself, so I hope it's as good as it smells, Mr. President."

After the pretty wrapping was removed, Mrs. Richardson looked down at the pie inside. He pulled it out and was given a fork from seemingly out of nowhere. He took a small bite and chewed quietly for a long moment before making a satisfied sound and giving his wife a forkful to try. "This is exceptional, Mr. Grant. Thank you. I am honored by your thoughtful gift."

"The honor is all mine, Mr. President. Thank you again for your hospitality."

After all of the congratulations had been given, Fitz led Olivia to the middle of the room for their first dance as a married couple. The song he chose that began to play from his phone was Finally Mine. Olivia listened to the lyrics of the song and held Fitz closer after each line.

Finally

Finally mine

Your love is finally mine

I've been waiting for so long

Oh, oh, oh

I've been hoping, and wishing and waiting and dreaming

So long

And all through the night, all I think about is you

And all through the day

Finally

Finally mine

Your love is finally mine

Finally mine

Fitz cleared his throat, trying to keep the emotions at bay that were threatening to overtake him. "We have to have this song in our formal wedding at home, Liv."

"I agree. It's perfect." Olivia sniffed as her head lay against his chest. "We have two white frosted cupcakes to feed each other and then we can leave and begin our honeymoon."

"I'm all for that. I can't wait to get my wife all alone." He gently held onto her chin and kissed her again.

"Let's go." she said, encouraging him.

They fed each other the cupcakes, careful not to get it all over the other's face. Goodbyes were chirped, and the newlyweds and their protective agents headed back to their bungalows.

Fitz carried her over the threshold and kissed her all the way to the newly made up bed inside. Olivia was enthusiastically giving to her husband as good as she got. He stopped long enough to look for a zipper on the dress to help in the removal of it. He didn't see anything. "How in the hell did you get this thing on?"

She chuckled at him. "Very carefully. There's a zipper on the side. Be gentle with it." She instructed.

Once he had rid her of the pretty white dress, Fitz picked her up in his arms once again and laid her down on the bed they shared. Their lips were fused together as their hands sought out flesh they were eager to touch.

She seemed to melt a little further into the mattress with every kiss he gave her. She sighed out his name when he slid into her. Their bodies became one shadow on the wall that danced together, slowly and unhurried.

Fitz looked down at his wife with a heart full of tenderness. She was looking up at him with the same heart eyes. Brushing a strand of her hair aside he asked, "what are you thinking right now, Liv?"

"I'm thinking that I'm the luckiest person in the world to have married you." She put her hand on the back of his neck and brought him closer. Her heart felt like it would explode from the way she was feeling in this moment. She poured all of that emotion into the kiss. It left her feeling dizzy and euphorically happy. "What are you thinking?"

He moved his hips in a lazy fashion, loving the feeling of connection they always shared in intimate moments like these. "Honestly, I'm thinking the same exact thing. I don't know what I did to deserve you..."

Dipping his head, he kissed her in the same unrushed pace as the movement of his body. He felt her hands move from his shoulders down to his hands. Her diamond brushed against his finger, and Fitz broke the kiss to lift her left hand to his lips. He planted a soft kiss on her rings and then caressed her cheek. "But I am going to make you the happiest woman on Earth. I promise."

She smiled up at him. "You've been doing that for years."

"God, I love you."

"Mmmm, I love you too. Do we have to go back to reality though? This is just so perfect."

"I'm afraid we do. We have every day for the rest of our lives together. This is just the beginning."

Olivia wrapped her legs around his waist and shot him a challenging look. "Right at this moment, I'd love a happy ending."

"Yes, Madam President." He began driving into her like a man possessed.

"Holy fuck! Say...that again!"

"I serve...uhhhhh...at the pleasure...oh god...of the President."

"That is beyond...sexy." The sounds coming from her were primal and demanding combined with heavy breathing and begging for more.

He pulled himself out of her long enough to grab her waist and flip her around in a flash. He gave her ass one loud slap and heard Olivia make a sound of surprise before poking her ass out further for more. "I'll bet your constituents don't know everything about you, Madam President."

"Ohhh god, shut up" she panted. "More!"

Pulling her down to the edge of the bed by her hips, Fitz got to his feet and slammed himself into her with one thrust.

"Yes!" She cried out.

"You love that, don't you?" He didn't wait for an answer, but held on for dear life and pummeled in and out of her at lightning speed. She felt like heaven, but demanded more like a greedy little demon.

"Is that...all you've got?" His domineering side was the sexiest thing in the world and she wanted more even though her body was telling her to stop and breathe.

"You can talk big...all you want, Liv but we both know you are...about to come apart." To ensure it, he reach a hand around one of her legs and began lightly rubbing circles on her bundle of nerves.

"Fitz, Fitz, Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitz!" She chanted his name like a plea for help until finally, she whimpered his name and dug her fingernails into the knotted sheets. Her stomach muscles tightened while her body quivered from the aftershocks of the orgasm.

It took him a few more thrusts, but Fitz finished seconds afterwards, grunting loudly. Pulling out of her once again, Fitz watched Liv lay on her back before he crumpled on top of her. He promised himself he would move as soon as he could breathe normally again.

They lay wrapped up in each other's arms for the longest time while their bodies cooled off, completely lost in the overwhelming feeling of love they felt for each other. Fitz's head lay on her bare breasts and Olivia was combing her fingers through his hair and watching her diamond sparkle in the moonlight. A smile formed on her lips as she said, "I still have to give you your wedding gift."

"If it's more sex, you're going to have to give me a minute." he joked.

"That's not it." she chuckled. "Can you pass me my clutch please? It's on the floor near the bed."

He leaned over, making exaggerated sounds for the effort, and handed it to her before resuming his spot on her chest.

She opened her clutch and took out a wrapped box and gave it to him. "Here."

Fitz took it from her hand and set it down. "I'll open it in the morning."

"No. Please open it now. It's important." She urged.

Not moving, Fitz ripped the paper open and pulled out a funny looking stick. He lifted his head to get a better look. "What the hell is it, Liv?"

"Use the flashlight on your phone."

"Can't you just tell me?"

"No."

He made a sound of discontent but complied with his wife's request. The light was shined on the stick and he gasped lightly before accidentally dropping the gift. "Shit." he muttered and groped in the darkness for it. When it was back in his hand, he saw the plus sign. "Liv? Is this...?"

"You're not only a husband today, you're a daddy to a growing little one too."

"You're...pregnant?!" he whispered in shock.

"Shit!" He was off her tiny body in the blink of an eye.

Olivia nodded as tears fell down her face. "We are going to have a baby, Fitz. You are finally mine, and we are finally going to be parents."

"We're having a baby!" He exclaimed in an awed watery voice before leaning down and putting a kiss on her flat belly. Treating her as if she was made of glass, Fitz pulled her into his arms. "We're having a baby. I can't believe it! I'm so happy, Liv. God, I love you so much."

They held onto each other as they cried happy tears for their new union and their unborn child. It seemed that their future was looking brighter than it ever had before. Tomorrow morning they would be heading back to America. Back to the day to day of their lives and jobs. Neither one of them wanted to let the American people into their happy little bubble just yet. They wanted to soak up the bliss for a little while privately first.

Both of them agreed that they wouldn't wait long for the public wedding. They lay there and made plans, holding hands, and whispering excited greetings to their growing little one. They would announce their engagement the moment they stepped off the plane in D.C. It would give the media something to talk about while they planned their wedding.

Thanks to Meg Leo for always being a listening ear & awesome person to talk through my thoughts for this story with.

I'm not going to drag out this pregnancy. I might write 2-3 chapters to cover it before the baby is born. I don't want to focus on that as much as what life is like after he/she gets here. I'll try to be better about updating, but I appreciate your patience with me in the meantime. Let me know your thoughts on the chapter, share any suggestions you might have, whatever. Stay safe out there!
