Chapter Eleven: Family Dinner
After A LOT of damage done to the apartment and many repairs, Felix and Calhoun have somehow managed to get the 11 Racers to sit down with them together at the dinner table to enjoy a nice, calm, and peaceful "Family" Dinner. Everything seemed to be okay for now, as everyone was eating their food.
"Delicious, the hot dish is delicious Smart Bomb." Calhoun complimented.
"Well, it's the most I could do after you got frustrated with the spaghetti and… *DEEP BREATH* shot up the kitchen." Felix sighed.
"Hey, we put the fires out." Calhoun retorted, "I'm just giving you and your lovely food compliments."
"Oh, why thank you lady love." Felix replied.
Then, all of a sudden, without warning, Gloyd knocked over his glass of milk.
"Now Gloyd," Felix started, "This is the third time I've had to fix your milk, *fixes milk with his magic hammer*, and, *the chuckle of a man that's slowly dying inside*, I'm starting to think you might be doing it on purpose just to make me cross."
Gloyd then grew a little smirk on his face as he slowly raises back up his hand and knocks over his milk.
Felix then made the sound of endless pain, "WELP, I'm guessing we're out of milk now, so I'll just go out and-."
"NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE, SIT DOWN!" Calhoun demanded, cutting Felix off.
"Yes ma'am." Felix whimpered.
"And the rest of you," Calhoun looked at the Racers, "Eat your vegetables."
"But these green things are disgusting." Adorabeezle gagged, "Plus in Sugar Rush we eat candy."
"In this house you eat vegetables." Felix said, kindly.
Gloyd then knocked his milk again, this time having an evil grin.
Felix whimpered, resisting the urge to slap Gloyd somewhat fierce.
"Adorabeezle's right," Crumbelina added, "This kind of food is no good for a Sugar Rush Character. Plus this food is just stupid."
"Crumbelina," Calhoun started, "This food does not have a central nervous system; therefore it does not have a brain, which means it is impossible for this food to be 'stupid'."
"I HATE IT HERE!" Crumbelina yelled, while throwing a piece of broccoli at Calhoun.
Then Swizzle jumped onto the table, put on his shades, and yelled, "FOOD FIGHT!"
And like clockwork, all the racers started throwing food at each other. Then Gloyd knocked over his milk, again.
A few minutes later.
All the racers were once again all partying, the music was loud and banging. Snowanna was dancing to the beat when all of a sudden, the music stopped.
"Hey!" Snowanna yelled, "Who turned off my beats!?"
It was Gloyd.
"I was thinkin' that we put on a slow song, and you and I could maybe dance together." Gloyd said, in a sleazy tone and making a grabbing hand gesture with a smug look.
Snowanna looked flustered, embarrassed, and in raged all at the same time.
"GLOYD!" Snowanna yelled, as she jumped at him intending to end his subscription of living.
Gloyd mentality paused for a second, "Wait, was that too far? AAAAAGGGGGG!"
Meanwhile.
Felix and Calhoun were in bed, contemplating life.
"Babysitting is horrible." Felix cried.
"No one ever tells you it would be like this." Calhoun replied.
The lamp broke.
"*Deep Breath* Let us pray." Felix said holding his hand out, "Dear Lord, please, oh please, get Ralph and those kids back home safely with Vanellope."
"Protect them all and keep them safe," Calhoun added, "I can't believe I'm saying this, but Ralph and those kids are our only hope."
"And Ralph," Felix added, "If you can hear me, what is taking you guys so long?"
The two laid there, only hoping for things to get better.
NOTES: You know, this is actually my favourite scene of the movie. It gives me exactly what I wanted from this subplot. It shows Felix and Calhoun's wonderful marriage, it shows the racers again, and it has some legitimately funny jokes in it. I did change some lines to fit the new context, but other than that, the scene was good. Only problem, IT'S A DELETED SCENE! Yes you heard (or read) that right, they cut the ONLY good scene out! My only theory as to why it was cut is that the lead-in scene where Ralph and Vanellope's are talking, they actually mention the racers and Vanellope shows signs of caring about them which contradicts all her later actions (I will rant, SOON). Anyway, next chapter we'll be seeing another one of my major changes. Stay Tuned.
