CHAPTER 10

A bright blue cerulean eyes shined by the light of the moon, despite of this amazing beauty, it held no life. Dullness and emptiness is what it all contains. The person who owns these eyes laid there, with no intention to move at all as he felt a strange feeling that is very familiar to him.

'What was that?' He mused. The sudden burst of energy that is similar to his, made his insides felt like in a tingling sensation that woken him up from his deep slumber.

He waited, and not a minute later when he felt it again. It's very faint, and it looks like it came from a very far place. His brows furrowed in deep confusion as he waited again but this time, he focused more harder than before, but... it never came.

He cut off his own thoughts when he suddenly heard a door opened and a light footsteps that echoes through the entire room that is full of people sleeping on the same bed as his. He didn't dared to looked at the new comer even when he knew that it is going to his location, so he just waited and let his mind wander from the thing that he earlier.

"You're awake." Said of a woman in a calm voice but with a bit surprised tone. The woman with a pale blonde hair that is tied in a messy way and blue eyes stared at the man on the bed with a frown. She gulped when the man in front of her didn't speak, rather didn't have the intention to speak at all.

'I must do what I must do. Whatever happens.' She reminded to herself then clenched her hands so much that it started to shaked. Now that the man is finally awake, she will be in a lot more trouble to finished her self assigned task. If only Reiner just took the man's life that day then it wouldn't be this hard for her. She is still not ready to stain her hands with blood, but if it is for their safety, then she must do it especially if the man really heard what they were planning on the time when he suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

But.. how will she begin if the man is wide awake? She flicked her tounge in annoyance. Her original plan was to carry the man out of this place and do the work in the middle of the forest then make it like a suicide scene. She bite the inside of her lips as she forced to calm herself.

"Who are you?" She asked in monotone and blankly stared at the man who was still gazing up the ceiling like in deep thought. Seconds passed but the man still have no intention to speak, she clenched her fist again.

"Tell me where you came from, or I'll--" She was cut off from her own words when the man suddenly spoke in a menacing way. She flinched.

"Don't beat around the bush. If you're going to kill me, then kill me... " He trailed and turned his head to her direction. "But do it here...monster." He stated and mouthed the last word without a sound. Then smirked as he fascinatedly watched when her expression turned into a pure horror with the help of the brightness of the moon that shines to her face.

"Are you okay? You look pale." Petra peeked at Sakura's face with both of her brows raised. The pink haired girl really looked like she was going to pass out and she have a dark bags under her eyes that made her worry. They were walking along with the others to their training location for today, well only for Sakura, rather. She was going to do the first step to master the three dimensional maneuvering gear in front of everyone. But Sakura is not bothered because there's a lot more that was bothering her mind right now.

"I'm fine, I just don't got enough sleep, Petra." Sakura sighed. Her first operation in the Trost district was completed and she found no signs of her blonde teammate. However, she was both sad and happy when she didn't found him there. She searched for about ten and a half hours, and what she did was to burst her chakra to the entire district, but she found nothing, so to make sure, she sneaked to all of the houses to looked at the people one by one with the help of her clone.

Her limit was to only make three clones, if only she has a great amount of chakra like Naruto, she would finished just before dawn with thousand of her clones. With a heavy heart, she returned to their barracks five o'clock in the morning where every one was still asleep, and by that, she only got thirty minutes of sleep.

She knows that she still have a lot of places to go to but if Naruto was here, somewhere, is bothering her.

The war. Without him, they won't win.

That's why she would be really glad if he's not here. She's fine if she was the only one who was transported here, she will found something to get out of here, somehow. And if she didn't... well...

"Sakura!" She almost jumped out of surprised when Petra shouted her name. She looked at the girl who was now infront of her and spotted the worried look from her face.

"Huh?" She muttered.

"I really think you should tell the commander that you're unwell. You can't do anything when you can't even focused.." Petra suggested, Sakura just gazed at her face but quickly averted it when she regained awareness of what she was doing. Her face became red and force herself to laughed while her head was turned to the side.

"Ah- I'm sorry. Don't worry! I know I can do today's exercise without difficulty!" She said exasperatedly and patted Petra's back hard enough to made the other girl shouted in pain.

"Oh! I didn't noticed that we're already here!" She added as she walked to the front and turned around only to found out that she was also by Oluo. She sweatdropped because she didn't know that all this time, Oluo was with them. She sighed. Seems like she was really out of it today.

"That's what I was trying to say to you earlier!" Petra shouted back at her with annoyance and Sakura just put out her tounge to annoy her more.

"Sakura Haruno!" Sakura immediately spinned to face the front and saluted at their commandant with neutral expression.

"Sakura Haruno Sir! At your duty!" She shouted with a deep voice. Her squad also took formation and with at ease, where their hands are behind them and their feet are apart.

"I'm guessing that you still don't know how to use a 3DMG, am I correct?" Keith Shadis questioned her as he walk around her in circles with an attempt to frighten the new cadet, and as he expected, it has no effect on her.

"Yes Sir!" Sakura just locked her gaze at the thing in front of her.

"I see..." He trailed and stopped to faced Sakura then inhaled to ready himself from shouting.

"This is the aptitude test! There is no place to you here if you cannot perform! You got it?! Now go!"

"Sir, yes Sir!"

Sakura ran towards the large equipment and quickly arranged her belt, just a few adjust on here and there, then she's all done. She looked at Commandant Shadis to let him know that she's ready. Sakura looked at her comrades and saw that they all have burning curiosity to their eyes. She secretly smirked.

"Lift her up!" He commanded to the two man on both sides. Sakura suddenly cannot feel the ground as she was lifted, she balanced herself without any extra movement at all with ease in her first try. She grinned.

It's night time and they were all in the mess hall eating dinner after a very long and tiring day. After Sakura's test on the first part of learning the 3DMG, that shocked all of her comrades and amazed all their officers, she was ordered to used their gear. Normally, it takes a week or two for a cadet to use the gear after training, so the other cadets were really shocked by her skills.

After they got to the assigned location, where there are trees wherever you go, Sakura was tasked to finally show her skills. And guessed what? She hadn't made any mistakes. After she amazed everyone again, they were divided into two groups, except her, and were assigned to kill every titan dummy in the forrest.

Sakura didn't complained about being alone but of course, she was generous enough to hide her full strength. The two groups slaughtered for about fifteen while she just purposely slaughtered just eight. She's afraid that if she made it higher than that she will be watched on her evey movement because they will think that she is a prodigy.

Now, she is surrounded by everyone, all because they want a story from her on how she really met the commander and the whole Survey Corps who noticed her amazing skills, enough to give her a special enlistment for 101st training corps. She was still not prepared like before, so she is just saying what comes to her mind.

"Uhh... You see.. I'm really a big fan of the Survey Corps, and I am fully aware of the destiny of every soldiers who joins it, but they are like a hero to me. They are the ones who fight our real enemy and save us all... So one day, when they did their expedition on Krolva, my home, I sneaked into one of their carriages that contains their weapons and stuff... Stupid, I know--" Sakura was cut off from her fake story telling when one of her comrades suddenly stood with exasperation.

"You did that?! You're crazy! Even I don't have that kind of self confidence!" The boy shouted named Lukas, about her age, with a brown hair and black eyes. Sakura smiled sheepishly and scratch the side of her brows and laughed awkwardly.

"Hehe.. I know." She said.

"For pete's sake Lukas! This was your fifth time interrupting her! Please shut your goddamn mouth!" Shouted of a girl named Naliah with black hair and black eyes. It's true that Lukas kept interrupting her along with Oluo that made everyone annoyed because they can't follow the story well especially with their loud mouths.

"Well it's not my fault that I want to express my emotions!" He shouted back at her.

"Oh god... Let's tie him up!" Elisha shouted and everyone agreed. Lukas quickly shot up from his crouching position to run away but was immediately brought back from the back of his shirt by the hands of Nick, that Sakura guessed as his friend.

"Hey! Don't touch me! Ahh!" Lukas kept struggling from their grasp but failing miserably as they all tied him up by teamwork. In the end, he was pathetically slumped of the wooden floor with a gag and near them so he still can hear their conversations.

"Heh. You know, Sakura. I can do that too--"

"You too Oluo, shut your mouth if you don't want to end up like him." Petra said and smiled creepily at the man.

Oluo, on the other hand kept his mouth tightly shut while sweating heavily. Sakura awkwardly laughed. She's not used to this kind of attention even back in Konoha so she doesn't know how to react.

"You can continue now Sakura!" Elisha who had blonde hair and brown eyes smiled sweetly at Sakura that made her sweatdropped. Everyone got back to their seats earlier and leaned in to her again with eagerness. Sakura cleared her throat as she continues.

"Okay, well... For about twenty minutes, we traveled in full speed, and of course they couldn't help but engaged with all those titans that was on their way. I, obviously just hid there and peeked from a small hole so I can take a look on how they fight. And!! They are so amazing! I can't stop myself from grinning like an idiot when I saw them fight! They are so cool! I really don't regret that I made that crazy stunt, you know?!" Sakura forced herself to beamed with excitement as she acted like day dreaming. She continued and eyed them one by one with a grin even if she's cringing nonstop from the inside.

"Then, when we finally got to one of their bases, that was the time they had found me. They were so shocked, so I just smiled at them and waved." She awkwardly chuckled and scratch the side of her brows. In her mind, she is panicking because she doesn't know what to say next.

"So what did they do to you?" Noah asked and was staring at her intently. To hide her nervousness, Sakura posed like she was thinking.

"Mm...they scolded me, and asked me a lot of questions. Like why are you here, who are you, what's your motive, something like that. Hehe." She said while averting her eyes so she can think more. She once again cleared her throat when another idea comes into her mind.

"Anyways, after that, I sneaked again from the one that had been guarding me while I'm inside and he's outside the carriage. I ran towards the horse and ride it when suddenly a titan suddenly appeared out of nowhere..." She trailed as she noticed the faces of her subordinates grows curious and curious by every second waiting for the part that they badly wanted to hear. She gulped.

"Then my horse suddenly freak out and goes to another direction without trees. I was so confused because I know that they're trained for not running away like crazy whenever they are near a titan. So I freaked out too! I mean who wouldn't?! The titan is coming towards me and the horse is not following my command!" She shouted and made an expression like she was brought back at 'that' very moment. All the eyes inside the mess hall widened with horror as they heard her story, even the ones who hate her that were secretly listening.

"No. Fucking. Way."

"Oh my god!"

"Holy shit.."

"But thankfully, I am prepared. I got this little thing that only I can use it's full potential, I called it kunai..." Sakura draw the shape of kunai in the air as she described it.

"I fought my fear because only I can help myself that time since all of them are trailing far behind and there are no trees so their gears were in disadvantage. So I balanced myself to the horse's back and jumped onto the titan's nape and sliced it with my kunai. They all saw it and... that's why I'm here." Sakura forced a smile. She really didn't think that everyone will believe her unles they will see it with their own eyes. She looked at them and her sweatdropped when they all looked blankly at her.

Sakura decided to include the part about her abilities because they will see it soon anyway and there's no need to hide it because no one really told her to hide it from them. Despite of that, she didn't really want everyone to acknowledge her because just as she said, as much as possible she wants to have a low profile but that was kinda impossible to achieve now. So she's just trying to manage it as far as she can.

"I can't believe that I even bothered to listen. Haa..." Finn sighed and stood disappointedly as well as everybody else except Petra, Oluo, and Lukas who was still tied up on the ground. Sakura just laughed awkwardly while scratching the side of her brow as she watched them leave one by one.

"I knew it... I don't like you from the start and I would like to keep it that way. Why? Because you're a trying hard bitch who just wants everyone's attention to the point that you made up a poor excuse of a story that is not even believable? Hah! Pathetic. And jumped? You're fucking kidding me. Also, there's no other thing that can sliced a titan's skin besides the special swords that are specifically made for killing titans. So please. Just stop, okay? Your annoying as hell." Bea stated in annoyance and rolled her eyes at Sakura before leaving her table.

Sakura's lip twitched from the same amount of annoyance as she looked at Bea's direction with her smile still attached on her face. The audacity of this girl is really making her knuckle itched to punch the bitch face. Because she's also the one who started the rumor the Sakura and Erwin are dating. Sakura calmed her raging mind as she thought of many things that can piss of the girl.

"You're just jealous because I'm way much more better than you... Beatch" Sakura talked back smirking to the girl as she combined the word biatch to her name. Everyone looked at both of their directions with interest and some are even shouting 'fight' repeatedly. Bea stopped walking and turned to her direction with a red face due to anger.

"Hah! And why would I? Your ugly face can't even compare to my foot. Also, you're forehead is way much more bigger than mine. Sa-ku-ra." The girl with a blonde hair and green eyes talked back and smirked to Sakura. Seems like she succeeded to annoy the pink hair when she see her face became furiously red.

"HAH! Okay, okay. Let's say that you're a beauty, but can you win against me when it comes to strength? Bet you're not! Because all you care about is your face! You think everyone will love you if you have a pretty face but with a trash attitude?! Why did you even decided to be a soldier when you punch like a little kid?!" Sakura shouted while stopping herself from standing and slumping her fist on the table. Her forehead has been her weak spot eversince she was a kid, so using her forehead to insult her brings back her memories when she was fighting with Ino. She observed Bea's face when the girl's brow furrowed more and stepped towards Sakura only to get stopped by one of her friends.

"Youuu!!" Sakura smirked.

"Fine! You think you can beat me?! Let's take this outside!" Bea shouted and stopped herself from struggling at her friends grasp, she's confident because she's one of the best here in this batch. She didn't even wait for Sakura's reply when she started to get out of the door.

"I can't fight someone who is weaker than me. Sorry, maybe train harder?" Sakura smirked and calmy took a sip to her already cold soup. She doesn't have to prove herself when she already knows that she's much better.

"You're just a coward!" Bea shouted back, now she was really being dragged out by her best friends. After they leave, Sakura dropped the spoon from her hand and slumped her hand on the table, hard enough to snapped all the heads back to her direction.

"Sakura--" Petra said as an attempt to calm the pink haired girl but was cut off by Sakura.

"If that Beatch insults me again, I will never hold back!"
