Authors Note: I'm not gonna be updating my Black and White story for a while. i just thought i'd give people a sneak peek on it.

Ash, Goh, Leaf and their partners have arrived in the Unova region and looked around in awe.
Pikachu, Scorbunny and Bulbasaur jumped around and cheered.
"We're finally here!" Ash remarked.
"The Unova region!" Goh added.
"I'm so excited!" Leaf said cheerfully.
"Now, the hottest location in Unova! The Desert Resort!" A man on a big screen announced, showing an image of a huge desert.
"That's it! That's it!" Ash stated.
Pikachu, Scorbunny and Bulbasaur jumped on their trainer's shoulders and watched.
"Here, a mysterious discovery has been made!" The man explained. "Colossus Ruins! Lots of Pokémon are showing up there!"
"I bet you that Colossus thing is a Pokémon!" Ash told Goh and Leaf.
"Yeah!" Goh agreed. "I was thinking the same thing!"
"Let's go take a look for ourselves!" Leaf suggested.
The Research Trio ran to the Desert Resort.
"Look out, Unova region Pokémon!" Goh and Leaf cheered in union. "Here we come!"

When they arrived at the edge of the Desert Resort, Ash, Goh and Leaf saw that it was a long way to get towards Colossus Ruins, making all three of them sweat drop.
"Oh. So how do we get there?" Goh asked.
"No idea." Leaf answerd before turning to Ash. "Ash?"
"I thought you two worked on that." Ash replied.
"You mean you didn't come up with a plan?" Goh asked in surprise.
"Neither did you and Leaf!" Ash retorted.
"Says the guy who only likes to think about battling!" Leaf said with a frown.
Pikachu and Bulbasaur hopped on the sand, but their feet became super hot from the intense heat and made them jump off.
"Pikachu!" Ash exclaimed.
"Bulbasaur!" Leaf gasped.
Pikachu and Bulbasaur jumped on their trainer's heads as their feet cooled down, much to their relief.
"Say, this must be one very hot desert." Goh said with a nervous smile.
Scorbunny smiled and walked on the really hot sand, not feeling a thing.
"The heat doesn't bother Scorbunny." Goh observed.
"Scorbunny is a Fire type." Leaf reminded.
Unfortunately, the heat was too much for even Scorbunny to take and the Rabbit Pokémon jumped into the while crying.
"Got ya!" Goh said as Scorbunny landed on his face.
The Research Trio sweat dropped, unable to figure out how to get through the desert.
"So… how do we cross it?" Ash asked.
"Do not underestimate the Desert Resort." Ash, Goh and Leaf looked behind them and saw a hiker woman and a Meditite. "Good day, young people."
"Med." Meditite said kindly.
"Ah! A Meditite!" Ash exclaimed with a smile.
"It's pretty cute!" Leaf complemented.
"Oh, wow!" Goh said in awe. "I wanna catch one of my own!"
"Do you three have any Pokémon that can fly?" The woman asked.
"Yeah, I've got one." Ash answered as he brought out a Pokeball. "Come on out, Dragonite!"
He threw the Pokeball and Dragonite appeared from it.
The Dragon Pokémon immediately gave the woman a big hug.
"What is going on with this Pokémon?" The woman asked while chuckling. "There, there. There, there, there…"
Ash, Goh and Leaf sweat dropped.
"What do you say we all calm down?" The woman suggested.
Dragonite flew around happily in the sky.
"A real cutie pie!" The woman complemented.
"And here's who I brought!" Goh said as he tossed a Pokeball into the air.
The Pokeball opened and released Goh's Beedrill.
"Bee!"
"A Beedrill." The woman commented.
Beedrill attached Ash and Goh with his stinger, causing both boys to run away, with the Bug/Poison type in pursuit.
Leaf smiled nervously as she brought out her own Pokeball.
"Anyway, here's my Pokémon." Leaf said.
She threw the Pokeball and the Pokémon that came out of it was Ninjask.
"Ninjask!"
"Wow, a Ninjask." The woman said with a smile.
Ninjask saw Beedrill attacking Ash and Goh with Twineedle and decided to intervene.
Beedrill continued attack before Ninjask appeared in front of him and blocked his attack with X Scissor.
After Beedrill stopped attacking, Ninjask scolded him for attacking the boys, much to Beedrill's embarrassment.
Ash and Goh sighed in relief, while Leaf simply giggled.
"And mine is this one here!" The woman said as she threw a Pokeball from her lasso.
The Pokeball opened up and a Braviary appeared.
"No way!" Goh exclaimed in amazement. "A Braviary!"
"If you want to cross the Desert Resort, this way is absolutely the most fun!" The woman explained as she and her Meditite got on an orange board and placed some goggles on. "Braviary, if you please."
Braviary responded and carried the woman and her Meditite through the Desert Resort.
"Away we go!" The woman stated. "Now you three try it!"
"So cool!" Goh exclaimed quietly.
"Alright, let's give it a shot!" Ash told Goh and Leaf.
"Sure thing, Ash!" Leaf replied.
"Right!" Goh agreed.

The Research Trio got on their own boards and Dragonite, Beedrill and Ninjask pulled their respective trainers along the sand.
"Pika!" Pikachu cheered.
"Oh yeah!" Ash remarked. "You sure are fast!"
Dragonite replied with a smirk.
"Go Beedrill!" Goh encouraged.
"Fly faster, Ninjask!" Leaf ordered.
"Scorbun!" Scorbunny cheered.
"Bulba, Bulba!" Bulbasaur called out.
Beedrill and Ninjask zoomed past Dragonite.
"Don't let 'em get ahead!" Ash told the Dragon Pokémon. "Crank it up!"
Dragonite flew even faster and left Beedrill and Ninjask in the sand.
Goh, Leaf, Scorbunny and Bulbasaur's eyes weren't damaged by the san due to the goggles they were wearing.
Ash grinned at Goh an Leaf before Dragonite flew high into the sky, making him and Pikachu scream loudly.
After they landed, Ash and Pikachu were all dried out and were currently catching their breaths.
Goh and Leaf returned Beedrill and Ninjask to their Pokeballs, while Dragonite flew around.
"That was awesome." Ash said with a weak smile.
"Playing the tough guy." Goh said with a sigh.
"Guys, look over there!" Leaf told her friends.
Ash and Goh saw Colossus Ruins in front of them.
"Cool!" Ash remarked. "We made it to Colossus Ruins!"
Pikachu, Scorbunny and Bulbasaur chirped happily.
Dragonite flew down to Ash, Goh and Leaf, causing them to duck.
"Slow down! Relax!" Ash told Dragonite. "You must be wiped out after all that flying. Take a break."
Dragonite gave a sad response as Ash returned him to his Pokeball.
Pikachu, Scorbunny and Bulbasaur jumped up at one of the odd status near the ruins before it transformed into a Standard Mode Darmanitan.
The three smaller Pokémon became frightened as Darmanitan prepared to use Overheat.
"Watch out!" Goh warned. "That's Overheat!"
Darmanitan fired Overheat, but Pikachu, Scorbunny and Bulbasaur got out of the way.
Bulbasaur backed up before she felt something under one of her back feet.
The Seed Pokémon looked and saw something that resembled a snout buried in the sand before it burst out and revealed itself to be an angry Krokorok.
Krokorok lunged forward to use Bite, only for Bulbasaur to avoid the attack.
Goh and Leaf each threw a Pokeball at Darmanitan and Krokorok.
Darmanitan was captured by Goh and Krokorok was captured by Leaf.
"Darmanitan has been registered to your Pokédex."
"Krokorok has been registered to your Pokédex."
"Darmanitan, the Blazing Pokémon. A Fire type." Goh's Rotom Phone said. "It has an internal temperature of 2,500 degrees, which gives it enough power to break a dump truck apart."
"Krokorok, the Desert Croc Pokémon. A Ground and Dark type." Leaf's Rotom Phone said. "The special membrane covering it's eyes can sense the heat of objects, allowing it to sense it's surroundings even in darkness."
Pikachu, Scorbunny and Bulbasaur sighed in relief while hanging on their trainer's legs.
"That surprised you, didn't it Pikachu?" Ash asked with a nervous smile. "Scorbunny? Bulbasaur?"
"Excuse me." Ash, Goh and Leaf saw a Litwick not far from where they were. "Just checking. Are you alright?"
"Whoa!" Ash gasped in astonishment. "That Litwick is talking!"
"I kinda doubt it!" Goh replied.
"The only talking Pokémon in this world is a Meowth." Leaf reminded.
Litwick jumped and landed in the hand of a man wearing an excavation uniform, who appeared to be it's trainer.
"Greetings." The man said. "I am the leader of the ruins excavation team. Litwick is on the team as well, handling illumination."
"Litwick." Litwick said while waving.
Ash chuckled awkwardly.
"It sure gave me quite a shock." He admitted.
"It sounds like an adventure to me!" The leader said with shiny eyes. "You know?"

The leader brought the Research Trio to an excavation site and showed them some ancient writing on a piece of ruins.
"In ancient times, this was the site of the border of a city." The leader explained. "It's said that the people there constructed the Colossus so they could protect the city they loved."
"That's awesome!" Ash said, amazed.
"Yeah." Goh agreed.
"I really wanna know what the Colossus is!" Leaf said in excitement.
"Right here, you'll notice the key to adventure!" The leader told them, showing the three kids a symbol on his tablet. "Simple. You know?"
Pikachu, Scorbunny and Bulbasaur played with Litwick.
"You know, I think I've seen that map before, or maybe not." Goh admitted.
One of the excavation workers ran up to them.
"Boss! Excuse me!" He called out.
"Yes?" The leader asked.
"We found more ancient writing!" The worker said.
Ash, Goh And Leaf smiled at each other when they heard that.
"Great!" The leader remarked. "Let's go! Adventure calls! Time for a brand-new adventure! You know? You know? So, as you three proceed inside, be very careful as you make your way to adventure! Now what could be better?"

Pikachu, Scorbunny and Bulbasaur raced ahead as they entered the Colossal Ruins.
Ash, Goh and Leaf followed their Pokémon.
"Pikachu, be careful!" Ash told Pikachu.
"Scorbunny, take your time!" Goh instructed.
"Bulbasaur, make sure to wait for us!" Leaf told her partner.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu replied.
"Saur!" Bulbasaur said with a nod.
Scorbunny continued down the stairs before he stepped on something that looked like a tail.
A Sandile bursted out of the sand and glared at the three other Pokémon.
"It's a Sandile!" Goh identified as he brought out his Rotom Phone.
"Sandile, the Desert Croc Pokémon. A Ground and Dark type." Goh's Rotom Phone said. "Sandile digs into the hot desert sands to keep from losing heat. It lives most of it's life in hiding."
Sandile snapped angrily at Pikachu, Scorbunny and Bulbasaur and chased all three of them down the stairs.
Pikachu fired Thunderbolt at Sandile, but the Desert Croc Pokémon was unaffected due to being a Ground type.
"Electric type moves won't work on Sandile!" Ash called out.
"Now, use Double Kick!" Goh ordered.
Scorbunny kicked Sandile twice and knocked it out.
"Alright, Pokeball go!" Goh stated as he threw a Pokeball.
The Pokeball made contact with Sandile and caught it.
Pikachu and Bulbasaur congratulated Scorbunny, who looked up proudly.
Goh picked up the Pokeball as Ash and Leaf ran down the stairs and smiled at him.
"That's awesome!" Ash complemented. "You did it!"
"Nice one, Goh!" Leaf said kindly.
"Sandile has been newly registered to your Pokédex."
"That's our second Pokémon from Unova!" Goh said with a smile.
"Scorbun!" Scorbunny cheered.
"When the excavation leader talked about adventure, was this what he meant?" Ash asked with his arms crossed.
"I don't know." Leaf said with a shrug.
A Woobat suddenly flew by them.
"Oh, wow!" Goh exclaimed. "A Woobat!"
"I'll take care of this!" Ash stated as he chased Woobat.
But then, Ash accidentally stepped on a tile, causing him to deadpan.
"Uh oh." Ash said simply before he was showered by a bunch of sand.
Ash shook the sand off of him and spit some out.
"I get it." Goh said darkly. "When he said adventure, he must've meant this. And also when he warned us to be carful."
Scorbunny then stepped on another tile and the others heard a rumbling noise.
"I think I just heard a ka-chunk." Ash said.
"Me too." Leaf added.
"It can't be…" Goh said nervously.
The Research screamed and ran away from a giant boulder before they leapt onto the walls for safety.
Unfortunately, Ash, Goh and Leaf triggered the to start shifting and they went back to running and screaming.
The Research Trio finally managed to great a break and panted in exhaustion.
"These ruins are way to hard to explore." Leaf said, breathing heavily.
A Yamask floated by, gaining Goh's attention.
"Hey look, it's a Yamask." Goh said.
"You know, this has really got me fired up!" Ash stated as he suddenly got back up. "Let's go, buddy! How about it? Let's race to the Colossus!"
"Pika!" Pikachu said as they raced each other, leaving the others behind.
"Huh. So where in the world does that guy get all that energy?" Goh asked with a awkward smile.
"I guess we'll never know." Leaf sighed.
"Careful not to touch anymore surprises!" Ash warned.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu replied.
But, Ash stepped on another tile and trigged one more trap.
"Uh oh." Ash said nervously.
The floor beneath Ash opened up and he fell down it.
"Ash!" Goh exclaimed.
"No!" Leaf cried.
The woman and her Meditite from before ran by them and looked down the hole Ash fell in.
"Meditite, use Psychic, go!" The woman ordered.
Meditite stopped Ash from falling with Psychic.
"Pull him up!" The woman ordered.
Meditite then brought Ash back to the surface.
"Grab hold, young man!" The woman told Ash, reaching her hand towards him.
"Hey, I know you!" Ash realised.
Ash took the woman's hand and was brought back onto the floor.
Goh, Leaf, Pikachu, Scorbunny and Bulbasaur sighed in relief.
"So it's you three again." The woman said with a smile.
"Thanks you so much." Ash said as he and the others bowed their heads.
"My name is Kira." Kira introduced. "Wherever there is mystery, Meditite and I are there in a flash! Like that."

Ash, Goh And Leaf explained that they were here to see the Colossus to Kira as they entered a dark room.
"Yes, me too." Kira said. "I wanted to uncover the mystery of the Colossus Ruins. But how are you here without any preparations? Never underestimate ruins."
"Kira, on your way down here, did you find any surprises or set off any booby traps?" Goh asked.
"Of corse not!" Kira answerd. "There are switches!"
Ash, Goh and Leaf were surprised.
"Like here." Kira said, pointing to a tile with a familiar symbol on it.
"That looks familiar." Ash, Goh and Leaf said nervously.
"If you step on one or move one, it will set off a trap." Kira explained.
Scorbunny hopped off Goh's shoulder and was about to touch the switch.
"Back off!" The Research Trio shouted.
Scorbunny sweat dropped in response.
"Just stop going near those symbols, Scorbunny!" Leaf said firmly.
"You don't wanna set off a trap switch!" Goh scolded as he held Scorbunny in his arms.
Scorbunny struggled in his trainer's grip.
"Quiet!" Kira told them.
"Hey Kira, what's wrong?" Ash asked.
"Scorbunny didn't touch a thing!" Goh assured.
"No traps are gonna be set off!" Leaf assured.
Kira shushed them and looked out warily.
Three Cofagrigus then appeared from the shadows, two of them standing on all four hands.
"Cofagrigus!" Kira identified.
"Time to catch number three!" Goh stated, bringing out a Pokeball.
"Hold it! There's someone inside two of them!" Kira told the Research Trio.
"Huh?" Ash asked.
"We have to rescue them!" Kira stated.
"Rescue them?!" Ash, Goh and Leaf exclaimed.
Scorbunny used Double Kick.
"No, wait!" Goh called out.
Scorbunny's had no effect on Cofagrigus.
"Scorbun?" The Rabbit Pokémon questioned.
"Fighting type moves won't have any effect on a Ghost type like Cofagrigus!" Goh explained.
Scorbunny blew raspberries in response.
"Just leave it to us!" Leaf stated.
"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!" Ash ordered.
Pikachu blasted the Cofagrigus who were on all fours with Thunderbolt.
The two Coffin Pokémon released their prisoners.
"They're out!" Ash remarked.
A young man and a Shiny Psyduck made a dramatic entrance.
"Shane Seeker!" The boy, who was called Shane, announced.
"Psy!" Psyduck added.
The middle Cofagrigus growled and prepared to use Night Shade.
"Quick Bulbasaur, use Energy Ball!" Leaf ordered.
Bulbasaur fired Energy Ball at Cofagrigus and blasted it into the wall.
"Pokeball, go!" Leaf stated as she threw a Pokeball at Cofagrigus.
The Pokeball made contact with the Ghost type and successfully caught it.
Leaf picked up the Pokeball and smiled.
"Yes!" She said cheerfully before looking at her Rotom Phone.
"Cofagrigus has been newly registered to your Pokédex."
The remaining Cofagrigus escaped into the shadows.
"Great catch, Leaf." Goh complemented.
Leaf smiled in response.
"I just can't thank you enough for rescuing me!" Shane said gratefully, shaking Ash's hands. "Thank you! Thank you so much! Thank you!"
Psyduck gave Pikachu and Bulbasaur a hug.
"Look guys, check out this one!" Goh told his companions.
"It's a blue Psyduck!" Ash exclaimed.
"I've never seen one before!" Leaf said, amazed.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Shane Seeker!" Shane introduced. "Isn't my Psyduck the cutest? I fill my Pokédex with Shiny or alternate-coloured Pokémon that sparkly when they appear!"
"Shiny Pokémon?" Kira repeated.
"And Psyduck's not all." Shane said before showing the group his Rotom Phone. "You see?"
Ash, Goh, Leaf and Kira saw that his Pokédex had a small amount of Shiny Pokémon listed in it.
"They're all shiny Pokémon!" Ash exclaimed.
"So cool!" Leaf gasped in awe.
"Yeah. But, it's almost empty." Goh admitted.
Shane sighed and dropped his head down in shame.
"I'm just starting out." Shane said before smiling again. "So what? Psyduck was the very first Pokémon I ever caught! If your first Pokémon is a Shiny Pokémon, then it's got to be fate! And so I decide, I was going to fill a Pokédex in a way nobody ever has before!"
"But, you rarely see any Pokémon like that." Goh said blankly.
"That doesn't matter!" Shane retorted. "I'll be the first to do it, no matter how many years it takes!"
"Hey, how did you know someone was in there?" Ash asked Kira.
"Because the Cofagrigus were only a little bit above the ground." Kira explained.
"Of course!" Leaf realised. "When a person is inside it, their weight tends to push it downward!"
"Exactly." Kira replied.
"Whoa!" Ash and Goh said in awe.
(Linebreak)
The group continued to venture further into the ruins.
"How much longer until we get to the Colossus?" Goh asked, starting to get impatient.
"We've gotta be getting close to it by now." Ash said.
"Look!" Kira told her companions. "Down there!"
The others saw a light down the path.
"Maybe it's down there!" Leaf guessed.
"Let's go take a look!" Goh stated as he rushed off with Scorbunny.
Suddenly, a Psywave fired at Goh and caused him to step back.
"Goh!" Ash and Leaf gasped.
"What was that?!" Shane asked in surprise.
Everyone then saw a Sigilyph fly down and glare at them.
"A Sigilyph!" Kira exclaimed.
Leaf scanned Sigilyph with her Rotom Phone's Pokédex.
"Sigilyph, the Avianoid Pokémon. A Psychic and Flying type." Leaf's Rotom Phone said. "Sigilyph was the guardian of ancient city from long ago and used it's psychic powers to defend it from invaders."
Sigilyph fired Psywave again, causing the group to dodge it.
"Why is it attacking us?!" Ash questioned.
"Probably because It doesn't want us going into that area!" Goh answered, pointing to the light down the path.
"That must mean it's guarding something!" Leaf realised.
"And that something has gotta be the Colossus!" Ash added.
Sigilyph then used Air Cutter.
"Bulbasaur, use Razor Leaf!" Leaf ordered.
Bulbasaur used Razor Leaf and the two moves created an explosion.
Just then, Bulbasaur's Razor Leaf shot out of the smoke and hit Sigilyph.
"Nice hit!" Kira complemented.
"Now Bulbasaur, Poison Powder!" Leaf ordered.
Bulbasaur sprayed Sigilyph with purple mist, causing the Avianoid Pokémon to become poisoned.
"Alright, go Pokeball!" Leaf stated as she tossed a Pokeball at Sigilyph.
The Pokeball hit the Avianoid Pokémon and caught it.
"Sigilyph has been newly registered to your Pokédex."
"That's my third catch in Unova!" Leaf remarked.
"Way to go, Leaf!" Ash said kindly.
"That was one amazing catch!" Goh complemented.
"Thanks." Leaf said with a smile.
(Linebreak)
Everyone searched the next room, but they all found nothing.
"Not a thing in here." Ash said.
"Isn't this supposed to be the spot?" Goh asked.
"It has to be." Leaf replied. "What else would that Sigilyph be protecting?"
"Well, maybe there's a trick here somewhere." Shane guessed.
Psyduck tripped up and landed on a switch, causing one of the slides on the huge tile to move.
Kira saw this and realised something.
"Everyone!" She called out.
"What's up?" Ash asked.
"Are there other stones around here with this mark?" Kira asked, pointing at the tile Psyduck tripped on.
"This one here!" Ash said as he found a different tile somewhere else.
"I found one, too!" Goh added.
"Me, too!" Leaf told the others.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"Bulbasaur!" Bulbasaur called out.
"There's one here as well." Shane said.
"That's seven in all." Kira confirmed. "And seven rings in all. Ash, could you push your marked stone?"
"Huh?" Ash asked, confused. "But won't I fall in a hole again?"
"You'll be fine." Kira assured. "You've got to trust me."
"Come on, Ash." Goh encouraged.
"Give it a shot." Leaf added.
"Remember, this wasn't my idea." Ash told them as he pushed his marked tile.
One of the rings turned one way.
"Huh?" Ash asked, surprise.
"It's starting to move!" Goh exclaimed.
"But is it a trap?" Leaf asked.
"No, it's not." Kira answered. "Now everybody push yours!"
Pikachu, Goh, Leaf, Bulbasaur and Shane pressed their tiles and made the other rings move as well.
The rings formed the same symbol they saw before.
"Look at that!" Leaf exclaimed.
"I knew it!" Kira said happily. "This is the mark of the ruins!"
"Whoa!" Ash gasped.
"Amazing!" Goh said, amazed.
The huge circle then shined brightly and an enormous stone egg appeared from it.
"We finally did it!" Kira said with a big smile. "The Colossus!"
The egg then cracked and released a burst of purple light, blinding everyone.
When the light faded, the Colossus was revealed to be a giant Golurk.
"Whoa, the Colossus is a Golurk?" Shane asked in surprise.
"It's so big!" Ash exclaimed.
"And listen to this!" Goh told his friends. "Golurk is normally a little over nine feet tall, but this one is almost double that!"
The Expedition Leader showed up.
"We figured out the ancient writings!" He told the group before he saw Golurk and gained shiny eyes. "Adventure!"
"It's not really an adventure, it's a Golurk!" Leaf corrected.
"And it's colossal!" Ash added.
Golurk's eyes flashed and it fired a purple beam at Ash, causing him to roll backwards.
"Hey, what did you do that for?!" Ash questioned. "Huh?!"
Pikachu growled and had sparks coming out of his cheeks.
Golurk fired another beam around the room and made the entire group take cover.
"You've gotta stop it!" Shane begged. "Stay away!"
"This is what the writings say. That Golurk is the city's protection, built by people from ancient times!" The leader explained. "Golurk only awakens to fight! It attacks anything it sees!"
Golurk fired another beam at Goh and Leaf, who was protected by a stone pillar.
"And that's us!" Leaf said in worridness.
"That Colossus is really dangerous!" Goh said as he brought out his Rotom Phone.
"Golurk, the Automaton Pokémon. A Ground and Ghost type." Goh's Rotom Phone said. "It is said that ancient peoples created Golurk for heavy manual labour. It is completely loyal to it's master's orders."
"Golurk!" Golurk shouted as it tried to punch Meditite, but missed.
"What are we going to do now?" Kira asked.
"It may be the Colossus, but it's still a Pokémon, right?" Goh reminded.
"I like that!" Ash commented. "We should battle!
"Hey guys, I think we should make this a Raid Battle!" Leaf suggested.
"Awesome!" Ash said, liking Leaf's idea. "I'm in!"
"Me too!" Goh agreed.
Pikachu, Scorbunny and Bulbasaur jumped onto their trainer's shoulders and chirped happily.
"Right! If this is a Raid Battle, then I'm in, too!" Kira stated.
"A catching adventure!" The leader said in excitement. "I shall be in my element!"
"I think I'll take a pass." Shane said as he snook away, only for Kira to pull him back.
"You'll battle with the rest of us." Kira told him.
"This one's not a shiny Pokémon." Shane said while sweat dropping a little bit.
"I've got a friend who's got lots of Shiny Pokémon, Shane." Kira whispered. "So, you wanna meet him?"
That immediately got Shane's interest.
"Just tell me what to do!" He said in excitement. "Go, Psyduck!"
"Psy!" Psyduck said confidently,
"Meditite, we're in this!" Kira stated.
"Meditite." Meditite replied.
"Alright Litwick, I'm counting on you!" The leader said as he threw out his Pokeball and Litwick appeared.
The Fire/Ghost type lit it's flame up, psyched about battling.
"You sure are fired up!" The leader chuckled.
Ash, Goh and Leaf chose their partner Pokémon.
Everybody got ready to Raid Battle against Golurk.
"Pikachu, Thunderbolt, let's go!" Ash ordered.
Pikachu used Thunderbolt, but Golurk was unaffected since it was a Ground.
"Bad move." Ash said while sweat dropping.
"You've gotta think before you act." Leaf said with a blank expression. "Golurk is a Ground type, just like that Sandile and Krokorok. Remember?"
"I messed that up big-time!" Ash said, embarrassed.
Scorbunny used Double Kick, but that didn't work on Golurk either, due to being a Ghost type as well.
"Golurk is also a Ghost type, so your Fighting type move didn't do a thing." Goh explained with the same expression as Leaf. "Sorry about that, Scorbunny."
Scorbunny ignored him and continued using Double Kick before Golurk simply flicked him into a wall.
"Scorbunny!" Goh exclaimed as he caught his Fire type partner is his hands. "Are you alright?"
"Scorbun." Scorbunny said with swirls on his eyes.
"Litwick, use Fire Spin!" The leader ordered.
Litwick surrounded Golurk In blueish flames.
"Meditite, Psyshock, let's go!" Kira ordered.
Meditite blasted Golurk with Psyshock.
"Alright Psyduck, Hydro Pump!" Shane ordered.
Psyduck fired Hydro Pump and made a direct hit on Golurk.
But then, the Automaton Pokémon knocked all of the attacks away with incredible strength.
Litwick hid behind the expedition leader, frightened.
"Amazing!" The leader exclaimed.
Golurk fired a beam at Meditite and Psyduck, knocking both Pokémon out.
"Meditite, return!" Kira ordered as she returned Meditite to it's Pokeball.
"I knew I wasn't cut out for this line of work!" Shane mumbled, backing away with Psyduck.
"Pikachu, Iron Tail!" Ash ordered.
"Bulbasaur, use Vine Whip!" Leaf ordered.
Pikachu and Bulbasaur jumped up and slammed Golurk on the head with Iron Tail and Vine Whip, causing the Ground/Ghost type to fall on one knee.
Both Pikachu and Bulbasaur smiled before they were punched hardly by Golurk.
Ash and Leaf gasped as they caught their partners.
"Pikachu, are you alright?" Ash asked.
"You okay, Bulbasaur?" Leaf asked.
Pikachu and Bulbasaur gave weak responses and had really huge red makes on their bodies.
"Take a rest here." Ash said as he and Leaf placed their partners down.
"You both did great." Leaf said with a smile.
"Dragonite's still on our team." Ash said, bringing out Dragonite's Pokeball. "Go, Dragonite!"
He threw the Pokeball and Dragonite appeared.
Golurk saw the Dragon Pokémon and prepared to use Hammer Arm.
"Dragonite, use Dragon Claw!" Ash ordered.
Dragonite used Dragon Claw and the two moves clashed with each other, creating some powerful wind.
"Okay, you just stand back and observe, Scorbunny!" Goh instructed. "This time, I'll use Beedrill!"
Goh brought out a Pokeball and Beedrill was released from it.
"Bee!"
"Ninjask, you come out, too!" Leaf ordered, throwing her own Pokeball.
Ninjask was released and flew next to Beedrill.
"Alright, Twineedle!" Goh ordered.
"Metal Claw, let's go!" Leaf ordered.
Beedrill and Ninjask attacked Golurk with their moves before the Automaton Pokémon fired a bunch of beams at them.
Both Bug types flew around and avoided the blasts before getting shot in the face.
"Beedrill!" Goh called out.
"Ninjask!" Leaf exclaimed.
"Return!" Goh and Leaf ordered.
They both returned their Bug types to their Pokeballs.
"Braviary, come out and use Air Slash!" Kira ordered.
Braviary appeard from her Pokeball and hit Golurk with Air Slash.
"It's up to up you, Lampent!" The leader stated. "Use Flame Burst!"
Lampent came out and sent a flurry of blue flames at Golurk.
Golurk then bashed Braviary and Lampent away with Hammer Arm.
"Oh no!" Kira gasped.
"Lampent, please be alright!" The leader cried.
"Guess I'll have to use my brand-new friend!" Goh stated. "Darmanitan!"
He threw a Pokeball and Darmanitan came out of it.
"Darmanitan!"
"I'll use my new friends, too!" Leaf announced, bringing out three Pokeballs. "Krokorok! Cofagrigus! Sigilyph!"
Leaf threw all her Pokeballs and her newly acquired Unova Pokémon appeared.
"Krokorok!"
"Cofagrigus!"
"Sigilyph!"
Dragonite flew beside the four Unova Pokémon.
"No matter who catches it…" Ash started.
"There's no hard feelings!" Goh added.
"Whatsoever!" Leaf finished.
Suddenly, Golurk transformed into a cannon and aimed at the Research Trio's Pokémon.
"No way!" Ash exclaimed.
"Golurk transformed?!" Goh questioned.
"Seriously?!" Leaf asked in shock.
"This just can't be." The leader said quietly.
"What is it?" Kira asked.
"I think it's the ultimate attack written about in the ancient writings!" The leader answerd. "The Colossus sends forth a blinding light, destroying every enemy before it!"
Golurk began charging up massive energy in it's firing area.
"A blinding light?!" Shane asked fearfully.
"It's certainly earned the name Colossus in every way!" Goh said with a smile.
"Dragonite, Darmanitan, Krokorok, Cofagrigus and Sigilyph should strike together!" Ash told his friends.
"Yeah!" Leaf nodded. "We've gotta do it before it attacks again!"
"Right!" Ash and Goh replied.
"Dragonite, Hurricane!" Ash ordered.
"Darmanitan, use Overheat!" Goh ordered.
"Krokorok, Snarl!" Leaf ordered. "Cofagrigus, Night Shade! And Sigilyph, Psywave!"
Dragonite, Darmanitan, Krokorok, Cofagrigus and Sigilyph fired their attacks and combined them.
The beam of combined moves struck Golurk before it could finish charging it's ultimate attack.
Everyone in the room were pushed back by the strong wind the explosion created.
Dragonite bashed into the wall and caused a crack to appear on it.
When the dust settled, Golurk was stuck in it's cannon form.
"Something is not right." Kira said.
"It may not be able to return to normal with the damage it took." The leader theorised.
Golurk groaned and collapsed, making Ash gasp.
"Golurk's down!" The Pallet Town boy stated.
"Sorry to jump in, but, go Pokeball!" Goh ordered as he quickly tossed a Pokeball.
The Pokeball caught Golurk inside and shook around for a bit before making a ping noise.
Golurk was caught!"
"Golurk has been newly registered to your Pokédex."
"I'm so jealous!" The leader said in jealousy. "Golurk is now one of your Pokémon, Goh!"
"That's really something!" Kira complemented.
"Awesome job!" Ash said kindly.
"You earned that catch, Goh!" Leaf said to her friend.
"Dragonite's battling was incredible, too!" Goh told Ash.
"So was Darmanitan's!" Ash replied.
"Let's not forget about Krokorok, Cofagrigus and Sigilyph!" Leaf reminded them.
Dragonite and Darmanitan did a fist bump, while Krokorok, Cofagrigus and Sigilyph gave each other a high/wing five.
Just then, the crack created by Dragonite caused the wall to break apart and reveal a city made of gold.
"Is this…?" Kira started to ask. "It is!"
"This is it!" The expedition leader told everyone. "The ancient city Golurk was protecting! Ruins are an adventure!"
"Maybe all the Pokémon inside shine like gold, too!" Shane said with sparkly eyes.
"This is what I live for!" Kira stated, on fire.
(Linebreak)
Ash, Goh and Leaf returned to Vermilion City in Kanto, where they were checking on all the Pokémon in Cerise Park.
Ash, Pikachu and Dragonite ran up to Goh, Leaf, Scorbunny and Bulbasaur.
"Hey, Goh! Leaf!" Ash called out.
Goh and Leaf shushed him pointed towards Golurk, who was resting peacefully on the hill with Tailow, Sentret, Murkrow and Emolga on it.
Darmanitan was sitting next to Golurk in it's Zen Mode, while Cofagrigus lay'd on the other side in it's coffin form.
"Kind of like the guardian protector of Cerise Park, Huh?" Goh asked.
"Yeah." Ash replied. "It's pretty cool!"
"I think Golurk's gonna fit right in here." Leaf said with a smile.
Unknown to them, a familiar Ghost/Poison type was watching them from the bridge.
