Preface: Hello, everyone! Welcome to the final battle of the Overworld Saga! I unfortunately wasn't able to also upload Chapter 10, but I should have it up tomorrow, alongside a special surprise for Christmas...either way, it's time for some thrills!

Previously...after travelling across the land, and even into the divine realm, Minecraft players Danny, Liam, and Kevin have gathered all five Gadgets of Order and Kevin has defeated his inner evil soul.
Now...the heroes prepare to head to the End to defeat the gangerman king Doppel once and for all...

Minds of Power, Part Four -
The End...Once More

The players had just learned that they would have to face up against Doppel in the End, and already they were stunned. "We're going to the End?" said Liam, excited. "We haven't even beat the dragon yet! This is gonna be fun!"
Kevin activated his watch. "My sensors are telling me there's a portal nearby!"
"So, are you prepared to take down the gangerman king once and for all?" asked Buzzer.
Danny thought for a second. "If we're going up against him again," he said, "we oughta power up."
Liam and Kevin nodded. They kneeled down and typed "O fountain gems, stones of miracle, give me the power to defeat a great evil" into the chat. Five stones appeared on their dominant hands, forming a gauntlet, and they snapped their fingers, causing decked-out sets of armor to appear on them.
Danny's armor set was a creeper mask, a pair of elytra wings, decked-out blue leather pants, and diamond boots. Liam's armor was a set of enchanted iron armor with golden highlights, and an arm cannon connected to the chestplate. Kevin's armor was a set of diamond-plated leather armor dyed pink, except for the boots, which were dyed red. All of them got a unique status effect named "Supafied," which was a combination of strength, increasing their attack strength, regeneration, which kept the health bar permanently topped up, saturation, which prevented them from going hungry, absorption, which gave them extra hearts, and resistance and fire resistance, which made them almost-immune to damage.
"Man! I never get tired of that!" said Liam.
"(And with our own powers,)" said Spawny, "(we'll be basically unstoppable!)"
"Indeed, but Doppel is still going to be a formidable foe," said Buzzer. "Now then, where is the End portal, Kevin?"
"It should be riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight...there!" Kevin pointed to the north. The group walked to an alcove in the arena audience section and found a staircase. They all climbed down the stairs, and sure enough, a green-and-yellow portal with a space-like vortex was sitting there.
"So, like Buzzer said," said Danny, "you guys ready?"
"I'd be more worried if you're ready," said Liam, referring to his recent episode.
"Yeah, I'm over it," Danny insisted. "Let's get craftin'!"
As the group jumped into the portal, Liam had a trickle of doubt in him. He knew he couldn't really do it now, but he made a mental note to himself to have Danny discuss his problems.
He just wanted to help him.

The End. The final frontier. Every Minecraft player's greatest triumph. Well, almost every Minecraft player.
We all found ourselves in the void, standing on an obsidian platform. The main island, made of yellow end stone, was right there. Carefully, I made a bridge out of cobblestone blocks and we all walked across.
As soon as I finished, I noticed three things were wrong: one, not a single enderman in sight; two, the obsidian pillars lacked ender crystals; and three, the ender dragon was just lying on the ground, barely alive.
"(This is...unsettling,)" said Spawnette.
"(Maybe it's a fluke?)" suggested Spawny. "(An incredibly rare occurrence?)"
"Nah, incredibly rare is the portal generating with all the eyes in it," said Liam. "This is a sign that someone's been here."
"I think it might be a trap," said Kevin.
"In that case," I said, "let's fall right into it." I carefully crept up to the slowly-breathing dragon. It didn't do anything to stop me. "Any last preparations?" I called back. Everyone shook their heads, so I stabbed the ender dragon with my sword. It began to fly up into the air and explode in a brilliant flash, like it usually does...and then it got sucked into a vortex.
"I knew it!" called Kevin.

At that moment, a gangerman with a purple goatee, a crown made of end stone, and a cloak emerged from the shadows. "Well, well, well," he said, "we meet again, Minecraft Maniacs."
"Doppel!" cried Buzzer, flying out of Kevin's inventory. "Your reign of terror ends today!"
"Oh, really, Buzzer?" Doppel taunted. "You may have been good support for these six, in spite of being reduced to an eye, but I have a new trick up my sleeve." He took out a purple star with the icon of a dragon. "I knew all along that Kevin would now be able to properly defeat me, so I decided if this would be my final battle, I would go out with a bang…"
I have no clue why we just stood there and let him monologue. I also haven't the foggiest idea why we just watched as he swallowed the star, and began to transform. He flew up into the air, and his body morphed into the shape of the ender dragon, while keeping his cloak and crown. Four ender crystals, less than usual, appeared on the pillars, and gangermen began to spawn everywhere. "Now, Minecraft Maniacs," he boomed, "let our final battle commence!"

The gangermen have already begun to surround you. Thankfully, you aren't weak against them anymore. You catch them off-guard and inhale them one-by-one, spitting them up at one of the ender crystals. It quickly becomes clear that you'll need more power, however, as the crystal stays standing.
"We'll handle the crystals," says Liam. "You and the rabborgs handle the gangermen."
"Good plan," you respond. Gesturing towards the rabborgs, the two begin to concentrate and create thief mini duplicates again. Then, they put their hands together and begin to do a waltz of sorts, clearing a path for their mini-mes to pounce on the gangermen. The first gangerman attempts to inhale a chunk of the obsidian pillar nearby to attack you, but you just inhale him first and spit it back at the chunk, still flying at you. The obsidian goes everywhere, even hitting Doppel.
Meanwhile, Danny and Liam are about to destroy the first crystal. "Ready?" Danny asks. Liam nods and powers up his arm cannon, as Danny prepares his sword. The two shoot a simultaneous beam at the crystal, and the combined power destroys it.
"Ho-ho!" Liam cries. "Is that all you got, Doppel?"
"No, but thank you for asking," Doppel responds. He then proceeds to spew out ender acid, which covers Danny and Liam. Their regeneration means that the damage they take is harmless, but it has an added effect: it locks their controls, making it impossible for them to move.
"Had to ask, didn't I?" Liam groans. The gangermen begin to move towards them. "Alright, looks like we gotta fight," he says. Danny gestures towards Pork Chop, who managed to get away from the acid. The pig approaches the gangermen nearing the two, jumps up, and kicks the gangermen in the back, giving Liam the easy chance to shoot at them with his cannon.
Danny charges up and gives his sword fire powers. He then proceeds to slash at the gangermen, killing them instantly. However, Pork Chop is slowly becoming exhausted. "Dammit, there's too many of them!" Danny groans.
You manage to catch a break from holding off the other gangermen to see what is going on. That's when you remember something: you've been experimenting with an odd substance that seems to be made out of pure emotional energy, and you still have some glass blocks leftover. You toss them to Spawny. "Those guys need help," you instruct him. "Dance over to them."
Spawny gives a thumbs-up. He and Spawnette continue to waltz, plowing through more gangermen, and Spawny twirls Spawnette around, and she throws the glass towards Liam.
"Whoo! Thanks!" he calls. "Hold off the rest of the gangermen," he tells Danny. "I'm getting us outta here!" As Danny begins to perform his sword beam attack, Liam sets down his crafting table and arranges the glass blocks in a 'V' shape. The result is a good amount of glass bottles. He holds them in his hand and begins to bottle up the acid. Slowly but surely, he is able to move again. Eventually, he grabs Danny and pulls him out.
"Thanks, man!" he says, gleefully. "And now for numbers two and three…" He points his sword at the next ender crystal as Liam does the same with his cannon. The two shoot at it, and just like the first one, it explodes. This time, the beam continues to the third ender crystal, destroying that one as well.
By that point, Doppel has realized that he is just going the same route as the dragon alone. "That's it!" he cries before swooping down at all six of you. He grabs all of you in his mouth and begins to fly away, far from the main island…

"Man, his breath reeks!"
Liam was too busy trying not to gag while he and the rest were brought to the End's outer isles. Eventually, Doppel set the group down near a grouping of structures made from End stone bricks and purpur blocks. "You may have gotten most of the crystals," he gritted, "but now, we settle this! Right here, right now!" He got down on all fours and crouched.
The heroes all got into their own position. And then, they charged. Doppel whipped his tail around, and the players were all thrown into the building. Then, the rabborgs attempted to use the powers of their grass forms to sway Doppel away, but he simply inhaled them and spat them back at the heroes.
"Okay, this isn't doin' anything!" cried Liam, recovering from the attack. "We have to start thinking this time!"
"Wait! We're at an End city, right?" said Danny. "There should be a brewing stand in this building!"
"You're right!" said Liam. "I could use the dragon's breath to make a lingering potion!"
At that moment, Doppel peeked behind the building and spotted the heroes. "Peek-a-boo! I found you!" he taunted.
Everyone scattered around. Danny pointed up his sword and the chorus tree plants began to levitate, smashing right into Doppel's face. "Oh, please, don't make me laugh!" cried the gangerman. He took his tail and smashed Danny into the ground, preventing him from moving.
Meanwhile, Liam carefully maneuvered around the shulkers lurking in the building to make his way to the top. Inside one of the rooms was a brewing stand with two potions of healing II inside of it. He took them out and used a leftover fermented spider eye to make a potion of weakness out of a water bottle.
Back outside, Pork Chop had noticed Danny's predicament. Bravely, the pig grabbed Danny's sword from his hand and stood up to Doppel. "A lowly pig?" he chuckled. "And not even one of Perinton's intelligence!"
"Don't badmouth Pork Chop!" Danny shouted. "He's very smart for a pig!"
Pork Chop lived up to that claim by waving the sword around, causing several clones of himself to appear. Doppel looked around in confusion, unsure which one was the real one.
"Now's our chance!" shouted Kevin. He, Spawny, and Spawnette ran out, and the rabborgs activated their fire powers, sending them right into Kevin's mouth. Kevin inhaled every single bit of it and spat it right in Doppel's face.
Back inside the building, Liam had finished turning the weakness potion into a splash potion and was just starting to add the dragon's breath. While it was brewing, he looked outside the window and noticed the commotion going on. "Well, I can't let them have all the fun," he grinned. He broke one of the glass windows and fired his arm cannon right in Doppel's head.
"What's going on?" Doppel cried. He looked up at Liam. "Ah, so that's where you went!"
"Crap…" Liam groaned. Doppel flew right up to the top of the building and tore it right off with his bare hands. Liam was able to pull the lingering potion from the brewing stand at that moment, but by then, Doppel had shot out a dragon fire charge, knocking him right out of the open building. Even with the added health benefits, the drop from that height would probably leave him having to heal for a few seconds, if not kill him outright.
"Liam!" cried Danny. Quickly, he picked himself off the ground, took his water bucket from his inventory and tossed it up to his friend.
"Man, second time my butt's been saved!" said Liam, the bucket flying into his inventory. Right before he hit the ground, he placed the water, nullifying his fall damage.
Doppel set to the ground, absolutely enraged. "Why! Won't! You! Die?" he boomed, acid leaking from his mouth. Liam just took the opportunity to throw the lingering potion in the gangerman's face. "Oh, poop…" Doppel whispered.
"Combo?" asked Liam.
"Yes, Liam," answered Danny. "Combo."
And that's when the three went all out. Danny ran off to the tower as Liam shot several blasts from his arm cannon. Then, Kevin inhaled a bunch of the chorus fruit and spat it in Doppel's face. The altered dragon's breath meant that not only was Doppel as weak as a feather, he was unable to move.
When Danny reached the top of the tower, he took out the ender pearls he always had on him and tossed one up to the flying End ship. Once there, he leapt off and flew with his elytra. When he was right above Doppel, he charged his sword and sent one large slice through the gangerman.
"No! I refuse to lose!" gritted Doppel. He took a large breath and began to inhale every single one of the chorus plants nearby.
"Not so fast!" cried Buzzer, flying out of Kevin's inventory. When the fruit was in Doppel's mouth, Buzzer smacked the gangerman's face, causing him to swallow them. And then, he began to tremble.
"What's happening?" asked Danny, touching the ground.
"All of that chorus fruit will cause him to teleport around aimlessly," explained Buzzer. "As part of my teleportation ability, I can ensure the last place he ends up is the main island."
"Well, then, let's hitch a ride!" said Kevin. Quickly, he grabbed the rabborgs and Pork Chop and joined the others in hopping onto Doppel.
Danny took his sword out and stuck it right in the middle of Doppel's crown. "High-ho, ganger!" said Liam as he did. The gangerman cried out in pain and began to teleport to all sorts of places around the End. The six struggled to hang on as they went from place to place, nearly falling off a few times.
Meanwhile, Buzzer concentrated. Go to the main isle, he thought. Go there, and nowhere else…
And then, Doppel teleported right into the center of the main island. Danny yanked his sword and sent the gangerman flying right into the final ender crystal. "Noooooo-!" Doppel cried as he made contact.
Everyone was thrown off, but survived the fall. Buzzer hastily teleported to the others. "Did we do it?" asked Kevin.
"Not quite," said Buzzer. The group looked up at Doppel exploding like the normal ender dragon did. "This is our only chance, Kevin," Buzzer continued. "Only the dragon has been killed. If you don't use the purifier now, he will still be a threat!"
There was no time to waste. Kevin took out the purifier, aimed it at Doppel, and fired. A beam of pure energy fired out at Doppel, who roared into the void as he exploded with such ferocity that the players' screens all filled up with white...
To be concluded...and next time: the aftermath!
Next chapter: "And The Universe Said I Love You 3000" The Overworld Saga may be ending, but things aren't slowing down quite yet! With Doppel defeated, Perinton is more than willing to continue in his steed - and he's got big plans! Plus, the heroes deal with what to do now that they've won, and a small teaser for what's to come!
Postface: There we go. The first of several finales. Not-so-fun-fact: my computer restarted in the middle of revising this chapter, so I basically had to do it all over! Caused way too much stress for you-know-what!
Quite frankly, I'm really proud of how I redid the battle. The original version of the story had it be pretty simplistic, but I really wanted Doppel to do more because of the fact that he freakin' possessed the ender dragon (I was pretty clever with that, weren't I?), and I think having him take the players to an End city was a nice way if doing it. And, we see the results of Chapter 7: Kevin can now inhale gangermen! I didn't show it too much here, but we'll see more of it soon! And yes, I inspired the concept of the Supified mode off of the Chaos Emeralds and Infinity Gauntlet. Sue me.
