fulcrum101: It was a big thing I wanted get across for this story and something I wished I see more of in LoK fanfics. Everything was stacked against her since the beginning and no other nation would actively help her in the show for some odd reason. It was sad honestly.

JimmyHall24: I hope you enjoy the previous chapter if you wanted to see Korra saving Kuvira.

Reisbig2009: The two still have a lot to deal with it. Their journey will only get more intense as we near the third act.

Kolomte'49: I always like fanfics that do their own little twist to the original story but still keep most the same. I also picture Korra to be the type to be patient and kinda coy when dealing in the situation like with Kuvira's.

ThePlatinumLotus: I'm glad you found my story and that you enjoy it so much. It is really fun to write it and it feels good to know that there are others that like it.

Chapter 12

Korra was on her knees by the side of a slow moving river. Her dark brown hair was tied up in a tight bun and her sleeves were rolled up to her elbows. She was currently washing a certain metalbender's clothing. In hindsight, she should have seen the smell coming.

The avatar brought the wet soapy clothes to her nose. Her face twisted in disgust from the foul stench emitting from the clothing. She has been cleaning these clothes for about a half an hour and the smell was still as strong as ever. It was official; these clothes gotta go. With a flick of a wrist, a tiny hole appeared next to her. She dumped the repugnant toxic waste in the hole then closed it.

"Oh well, it was worth a try. Good thing I had a spare for her." Speaking of spare clothes, Kuvira should be done changing by now. Korra tilted her head slightly backwards to see behind her. "Vira, are you almost done? We do have a schedule to keep." She dried off her hands by rubbing them against her pants.

The duo had been on the road for three days now. If they keep up their pace they should reach the United Republic's capital in five days' time. Not a moment too soon if Kuvira hunch was correct. Since the declaration of war between the two nations, everything has been quiet. Too quiet in fact.

Kuvira believed Baatar would strike soon and when he did so, it would be both efficient and ruthless. Her friend speculated her former second-in-command had only declared war because he had an ace up his sleeve. A pretty big ace since he announced his declaration so confidently.

"...I guess so..." A meek voice from behind some trees said.

Korra turned her whole body around to face the direction of the voice. She sat up straight with her hands happily together on her lap. The young woman has a tiny smile, trying to hold back the excitement that was bubbling up inside her gut. She cannot wait to see how her crush looked in her nation's clothing.

Fashion shows; a guilty pleasure Asami poisoned her with. She was not much of a fan of being a star of one, but she enjoyed watching others trying different types of clothing on. She didn't think it would be that fun but the businesswoman proved her wrong. Just like she did when she introduced her to girl's nights.

Rustling came from the bushes. Kuvira slowly came out from the wilderness, standing like an awkward teenager posing for picture day at school. The young avatar immediately blushed at the sight of the metalbender. Her jaw dropped slightly open, having only one word that could truly describe the beauty in front of her.

"...wow…" Korra said barely above a whisper.

Kuvira was wearing one of Korra's newer outfits she bought before she left her home, and in her opinion, her friend looked way better than she does in it.

The older woman donned a sleeveless slim-fit baby blue turtleneck duster that has a medium sized triangular keyhole and a tiny sliver clasp on the neck. The turtleneck reached down to her knees and has a low front slit with thin white fur outlined on the bottom hem of it.

She matched the gorgeous top with midnight blue colored slacks. She finished the whole assemble with skinny knee high leather brown boots that had a navy blue cloth wrapped around the ankles and calves, and was donning a thick sash of the same color around her waist.

Kuvira walked towards her friend, cheeks red in embarrassment. "I don't think blue looks good on me."

Oh she was wrong. Completely false statement if Korra ever heard one. Blue was definitely her color. The blue of the duster really made her fern green eyes pop. Plus, it showed off her toned muscular biceps. While hiding for almost a year and a half, Kuvira definitely made sure not to miss the gym.

Her short hair danced slightly from the sudden wind that came through. She has a tiny smile to match her skeptical and nervous expression. Her beauty mark half inch below her left eye just made her look absolutely irresistible.

The avatar smiled, holding back the urge to gush at her. "I think you look fine." Drop dead gorgeous would be a better statement.

Kuvira raised a brow, unsure about her opinion. "Really?" She moved her shoulders and chest a bit. "Feels a bit constricting though."

Korra bit her bottom lip, watching with a ever observant eye at every motion the metalbender does. She was mentally photographing every single movement she does for later uses for those lonely nights. The young woman thought her clothes might be a tad too small for her friend since she was a bit more filled out than her but beggars can't be choosers. At the end, it paid off more so for Korra than it does for her friend. The turtleneck was hugging Kuvira's breast so perfectly that you can-

"Korra."

Said person blinked out her fantasies. "I'm sorry I dazed out for a second." Kuvira was now in front of her, barely an inch apart. The young woman immediately avoided eye contact, blushing like crazy.

"What did you say?" She squeaked.

Kuvira smiled at her embarrassed form. She does not think Kuvira fully grasped how much of an effect she has on the poor water tribe native.

"I asked, can I see the map?"

"Oh, of course." Korra grabbed her satchel that was next to her and passed it to Kuvira. "Everything is organized so it should be easy to find."

"Thank you." True to her word everything was neatly sorted. It took only a moment for Kuvira to find the map.

She took out the map and placed it flat against the ground. It was littered with red X's and various notes. Korra noted how Kuvira reeled her hand back slightly at the sight. The avatar was not over-exaggerating when she said she searched most of the Earth Kingdom for her.

Kuvira cleared her throat and focused back on the map. "I see you were busy."

"What can I say; I'm your number one fan." Korra said with a shrug.

Kuvira smirked, "or my number one stalker," she joked.

She chuckled. Seemed like the old Kuvira was truly returning. She had even been sober since they left, having promised to the tribeswoman she wouldn't touch the stuff. "Very funny Vira." Korra followed her gaze onto the map. "So, why did you ask for the map? I thought you knew where we are."

"I do. I wanted to see if I can figure out what Baatar is planning." Kuvira cupped her chin in thought.

"What do you mean?"

"Baatar declared war on national radio, losing the chance for a surprise attack. While it is a possibility he is just simply overconfident, I highly doubt it." She glanced up at Korra. "Baatar wasn't my second-in-command because he was my friend. He held that position because he earned it by proving himself."

Korra only dealt with Baatar personally once and that's when she was seeking information about Kuvira. It was right after he quelled his nation from the metalbender's disappearing act. He didn't divulge any information, being round about and telling her what she already knew. The man was cunning, and from what Su had told her, extremely intelligent. A dastardly combination for a general.

"I see your point. When I met him at Ba Sing Se, he had this dangerous aura around him."

"Exactly. That's why I'm curious about his actions." She focused her attention back to the map. "If the tabs I kept on the Earth Empire are still good, then most of his forces should still be located at the capital."

"Not anymore." Korra pointed to the old hometown of Kuvira's. "After the annex of Zaofu, Baatar moved most of his forces there." She thought about that day with inquisitive expression. "Now that I'm thinking about it, he was quite adamant about taking it for some reason."

Kuvira paused at the news, digesting what she just heard. "I didn't know he took Zaofu." Kuvira closed her eyes, preparing for the worst. "Was anyone-"

"No one was hurt." She reassured. She placed a hand on top of hers. "The city surrendered before they had to come to blows."

"I see. Good." Kuvira took a shaky breath before opening her eyes. "You said he was quite serious about taking the city?"

"Yeah. He wouldn't even negotiate with Su about it. Also, since the annex, everything has been very hush-hush in that area of the Earth Empire."

"It is highly possible that his ace is located there then. He must have needed Zaofu to construct it." Kuvira examined the map more closely. "And it is a good staging point to strike the capital."

Korra examined the map more closely and saw what Kuvira meant. Zaofu was one of the few cities that was straying a few miles away from the borders of the United Republic of Nations. Baatar could march into the Republic City in probably two or three days of travel.

"Kuvira before you…you know." She didn't want to bring up that subject yet. Kuvira was still in healing. "Were you guys working on anything major that could explain his brashness?"

"No." Kuvira said as she shook her head. "We were working on a few projects, nothing weapon grade though." She closed her eyes to try to remember what some of the projects were. "After finishing the maglev train, we focused our intentions onto our renewable energy project. I wanted my people to never worry about being left in the dark again. Baatar and Varrick theorized that we could use spiritual energy to revolutionize the world's electric grid. I believe I recalled Varrick having a breakthrough before I… you know."

Korra's eyes widened from the revelation. Spiritual energy was a dangerous business. She thought the world would understand how dangerous the stuff was from her encounter with her uncle. He destroyed a whole fleet of battleships in seconds with just one blast of his energy beam. For bloody sake, her uncle would've wiped out Republic City with that destructive power if it weren't for her stopping him.

From the little she knew of Baatar, Korra understood he was an smart man. Mix that with Varrick's near godlike engineering prowess, it was possible they had succeeded in their mission. And it would only take a tiny tweak to turn something so innocent and world revolutionary to something that will kill trillions and start something truly terrible; an arms race.

It made so much sense to her now. It would explain his boldness for the war and as to why he blocked off the area around Zaofu. The city was nowhere near any other settlements of the Earth Empire. It was a perfect testing ground with its collapsible metal walls and none would be the wiser.

"Korra, what is it?"

"We need to go to Republic City now." Korra took the map and stuffed it in her satchel. "I think I know what Baatar's ace is."

"I'm sorry but I can't help." The gruff old looking man said unapologetically.

"Oh come on!" Korra yelled. "I need your help to get to Republic City as soon as possible. Hell, I even owe you one. Me, the Avatar, wielder of all four elements, owing you a favor of any kind. Many would kill to have that."

Normally, she wouldn't dishonor her title as an avatar by offering something as petty as a favor but this was an emergency. If what she believed was true, then Kuvira and she needed to get to Republic City yesterday. She just wished the town was a bit more empathic to her mission.

"Sorry, but it's still no." He pulled a cigar from his pocket and lit it. "I'm not going to risk being labeled a traitor and be sent to one of those reeducation camps." He took a buff of the tobacco. "You have to find help somewhere else, kid."

Korra threw her hands in the air in frustration, huffing in annoyance. This marked the sixth person who denied her and for the exact same reason as well. She was debating whether or not it would be easier to steal an airship and figure out how to drive it herself.

"Fine." Korra made her way to leave. "Asshole!"

She slammed the door behind her. Korra huffed angrily as she marched away from the building, kicking a pebble to vent her exasperation. She took a seat on an empty bench. She closed her eyes as she craned her head back, letting out a loud irritated breath of air.

She was quite literally out of ideas. Everyone and their mothers were too afraid of Baatar and his army to help her. Not even reassuring them with her title as the avatar put them at ease. The fear Baatar and his army held over the nation were both impressive and terrifying.

When had his rule turned so ruthless in the Earth Empire? When did he become a dictator?

It seemed the only way to her destination now, was to walk. She hoped when she finally arrived that it won't be too late.

"Fuck." She muttered. What she would not give to have a flying bison right now.

"I assume they also refused to help us?"

"Yup." Korra said, popping the last syllable.

"What now?"

Korra finally opened her eyes to see Kuvira who donned a worried expression. She doesn't like seeing her frown. Just days ago they were joking and getting to know one another, until Korra realized how dire the situation truly was. Baatar had created a weapon that used spiritual energy as a power source. At least that's what her gut was telling her and her gut was rarely wrong.

"I rest for a few before we start hiking our way to Republic City." She closed her eyes once more.

"You heard what the townsfolk said Korra. We don't have time to do that anymore."

"I know." She gritted out between clenched teeth.

When Kuvira and she entered the town they separated. They agreed that while she tried to find some transportation, Kuvira will gather more information about the current state of the Earth Empire. It was her friend's idea since she knew the area like the back of her hand. It was apparently the same town as the old man, Illesh hailed from. Korra had suggested going straight to him for help but Kuvira refused; she doesn't want people to know she was back yet.

When they reconvened, Kuvira told her the worst news of her life. Not only Baatar has conscripted the town's teenagers for the war effort, but they also found out that they will strike Republic City in a week's time from a letter one of the teenagers sent to their parents. That letter was written five days ago.

Kuvira sat next to Korra. "Then what do we do next, Korra?"

Her eyes flew open and whipped her head at Kuvira. "I don't know, okay?!" She snapped.

She jumped off of the bench. "I have absolutely no idea what to do." She started pacing in a small circle. "Baatar's army is basically never ending with the soldiers he just conscripted. They have upgraded mecha suits based on the same designs that fucking Amon used to take over Republic City in a single day." She stopped pacing and faced Kuvira with a raised finger. "Oh we can't forget this, he also possibly has a super weapon that is based on the same energy source that my Uncle used to destroy a fleet of ships in a blink of an eye."

Korra made her back to the bench and plopped down. She placed her elbows on her thighs and buried her face in her hands. "Worst part is that President Raiko is either too stubborn or too stupid to surrender until Republic City lies in ruins. All the while we were just taking our time walking like we were on a bloody Sunday stroll."

Korra did not mean to snap at the poor metalbender but she just needed to vent. Everything was so messed up. She thought the Red Lotus were her toughest challenge with how experienced and deadly they were. Baatar and his army were on an entire different level. It was like all her past foes were merged into one.

How did it all go so bad so quickly?

"Do you regret it?"

"Regret what?" Her voice was tired and carried a defeated tone.

"Searching for me." Kuvira asked bluntly. "You could have stopped this before it got this far. Do you regret it?"

Korra sighed. Kuvira was right. If she did not waste her time and actually listened to the others she could have stopped this conflict before it actually began. She could have prevented a war. Prevented so much meaningless death and more, if she wasn't so damn stubborn. With all that being said, she doesn't regret a single thing.

"No." She mumbled. "I know that you are the key to solve this issue. We might lose Republic City, but I know at the end of the day that the Earth Empire will be the Earth Kingdom once more."

Korra removed her hands from her face. She rested her chin on top of her hand as she flashed a cocky grin to her friend. "Plus, I'm not going to let you weasel your way out of our date Vira. I already told you, I won't take a no for an answer."

Kuvira chuckled, gone was her downcast expression. "I would not imagine doing such a thing." She said with a smile.

Her friend turned and faced the same building that denied Korra of help. Her eyes burned with determination. She got up from her seat, standing tall and proud. She looked just as she did three years ago when Korra first saw her.

"I will ask the man for help." She started walking towards the building.

"Wait, what?"

Korra quickly caught up with the woman as she took strides with purpose. "Vira, they already said no. They're not going to change their mind just because you're going to ask them."

"But Jun is not going to ask them. Neither is Ela, Ming, Xiao, or any of the aliases I went by," Korra raised a brow, completely confused at where she was going with this. "I am going to ask him. Kuvira, the Great Uniter."

Korra's eyes widened from the announcement. Kuvira might be onto something. Throughout her travels one thing was constant; the people's faith in the Great Uniter. Kuvira had brought hope to a nation that was abandoned by the rest of the world. She had suffered and stood by their sides through it all.

But once she revealed herself, there was no going back. News of her return will spread like wildfire during a dry summer day. The news will no doubt reach Baatar's ears. How he would react she doesn't know.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes." She simply answered.

Kuvira opened the door and walked with purpose to the counter. The old man behind the counter sighed, exhaling a cloud of grey smoke at the sight of them.

"Look lady, I already told-"

"I know." She cut him off. "But I'm here to tell you that you will assist us."

He laughed at Kuvira's blunt order. "Even if you were the Great Uniter herself, I would n-"

"I am the Great Uniter. I am Kuvira."

He laughed even harder this time, accidentally dropping his cigar on the counter. "Okay, okay thanks I really needed that laugh." He picked up his cigar and placed it back in his mouth. "But you two should-."

"I visited Xinhua month seven in my journey. It was a sunny day with no clouds in sight. I had talked with your leader, Illesh at 1000. He is an elderly gentleman, short gray hair, deep forest green eyes, missing a couple of his teeth. The talk was brief since he had immediately accepted my help and I left exactly thirty of my troops and extra supplies to help what was a struggling village at the time."

The old man and Korra stared at her, speechless at how she recited such detailed information effortlessly. Korra could barely remember to take out the trash at home.

"I can name every single solider I left behind too, if you would like?"

"No," he said quickly. He extinguished his cigar before bowing at a complete ninety degree, showing his utmost respect for the woman. "My apologies for such disrespect, Great Uniter."

"No need for apologies Chen, and please, call me Kuvira. It is good to see that you all flourish since that day."

He looked up at her. His face was in disbelief. "Y-you remembered me?"

"Of course. You gave my mechanics tips to improve our vehicles." She said with a nostalgic smile. "By the way, I have not seen or heard Illesh since we've arrived. Is he well?"

Chen stood up. His facial expression was all the information they needed to know what had happened to the elderly leader.

"How?" Korra asked.

"He stood up against General Baatar and his rule, saying that you would not want us to commit such terrible crimes in the words of peace and security. He was sent to a reeducation camp a month ago and was replaced by a puppet governor." He made a fist and clenched his teeth in anger. "The replacement told us that he had died as soon as he arrived. He said traitors like him deserved worse."

"I see..." Was all Kuvira could say.

"Why?" Chen slammed his fist against the counter. "Why did you leave us?!" He bellowed. "I thought you were going to change things, not lead us into another fucking war!"

A sudden rage built in Korra. She took a step forward, pointing threateningly at the man. "Hey, you don't know what she has been through, buddy. She does-" A touch on the shoulder made her stop mid-sentence.

"It's okay Korra." Kuvira sighed, gazing at the floor. "Two-hundred and fifty-five." She looked up at Chen. Her lips were in a thin line; her eyes lost all of its color. "That's how many people I had killed since I started my journey of uniting our nation." She looked at her hands. They were shaking. "Men, women, even children. Directly or not, I had killed so many with these hands. It comes to a point where you wonder how much is enough."

Slowly, her open hands became tightly clenched fists. "One day I look at myself in the mirror, and you know what I saw?" She chuckled but there was no heart to it. "I saw a murderer. A tyrant. A bloody monster."

"That is why I left. I was at my breaking point." She glanced at Korra, gracing her with a big toothy smile, color returning to her eyes. "But the Avatar here helped me find my way again. She made me realize what my destiny was."

"And what is that?" Chen asked harshly.

"To finish what I had started, and bring the Earth Kingdom together. To bring peace to my home."

Chen regarded her with a harsh glare. Gradually it softened. "You know, every time Illesh heard one of your accomplishments, he said we were one step closer with us being truly unified as a nation." Chen rubbed away a tear that snuck its way out. He fished out another cigar. "Well, what are you waiting for? I can't really say no after hearing such a sob story, now can I?"

Korra cannot believe Kuvira pulled it off. They were actually heading towards Republic City. With record breaking timing from what their pilot, Chen had told them. He said we should arrive around a day before Baatar will. Enough time to warn the people of the nation on what to expect.

The avatar watched the metalbender from across the room. Said woman was staring outside through the small circular window. She hadn't said a word since they departed. Korra got up from her seat and walked to her. Standing by her side, she playfully bumped her hip against Kuvira's.

"Great work there, Vira."

"Thank you, I try my best."

Korra glanced at her. She was still looking at the clouds that they bypass. Her eyes have no joy in them.

"What's wrong?"

"It's about Illesh," she sighed, "he was the first leader I met that truly believed I would bring the Earth Kingdom together and lead it. The others believed in me too, but not like him. He saw something in me that I did not."

Korra reached down and grabbed her hand. "I'm sorry. He sounded like a good man."

"He was. I just… I didn't know that it was this bad after I left." Kuvira squeezed Korra's hand. "I should have kept better tabs on Baatar. I shouldn't have let him sunk so low." She berated herself.

"You had no way of knowing he would turn out like this."

"I should've," she argued, "I was so close to that point. If I had stayed and just ignored all those signs, I could be the one about to wage war." She leaned her head against the cold window. "I should have protected them."

"Hey, Kuvira." Korra gently grabbed her shoulder, turning her so they could face each other. She saw her expression perked up slightly from the smile she directing her way. "I promise you, we will stop this war before anyone else gets hurt, and we will save Baatar. Master Katara once told me, it is never too late for someone to change."

Kuvira smiled at those comforting words. They both knew those lofty promises can't be held but it was nice to hear such things. "Thank you, Korra. For everything."

"No problem. It's what friends do."

They stayed in their current position for a moment, the soft hypnotic hummed of the engine played in the background. Their hands were still together, holding each other tenderly, while Korra's other hand was resting on the older woman's shoulder, eagerly wanting to go through the metalbender's short hair. Kuvira didn't budge or tell her to let go. Instead, the metalbender was gazing into her eyes like she was expecting something to happen, expecting her to do something. Korra's eyes trailed to the older woman's delicious bow-shaped lips, her heart started quicken in pace at the sight of them. This was it. This was her chance to show her love how she truly feel about her. Swallowing down her fears, she gradually moved her hand from the shoulder to Kuvira's cheek, caressing her softly.

Her breath hitched in fear seeing Kuvira flinched slightly from her gentle touch. Her fear wasn't warranted though. The metalbender nestled against her touch, like a pup to their owner - gazing into her ocean blue eyes. They have gone through so much. Both were at their lowest point. They traversed through their personal hell, having fought their haunting demons and returned victorious and better than ever before. They will be damned if they let the other quit now. They took a small step towards each other, closing the tiny gap between them.

Korra let go of her Kuvira's hand and slowly wrapped her arms around the Great Uniter's slender neck. She was close to quitting so many times during her rehabilitation, but Kuvira's words motivated her to push forward. She would have never reached her current skill level if it weren't for her.

Kuvira gently wrapped her gentle hands around the Avatar's slim waist. When Korra found her she was a drunken mess, haunted by her actions and past. Most would think she was beyond help seeing the state she was in but Korra didn't accept such things. Kuvira and she were a lot alike. She knew her crush needed a good talk and small kick in the butt to get back on her feet.

They inch their faces closer, feeling the other's soft warm breaths, desperately craving each other. They don't see or sense any doubt in the other. Their eyes closed as their lips made contact.

A jolt of pleasure ran through every single nerve of the Avatar's body. This moment was everything she had hoped and wished it to be. She deepened the kiss when Kuvira brought her closer, grabbing a lock of her black hair, slipping in her tongue. She never felt so alive. Everything just made so much sense when she was with her. She truly does love the older woman.

Kuvira abruptly broke away from the kiss, backing away from the tribeswoman. Korra opened her eyes, yearning the loving touch of the metalbender's lips upon hers. Her heart clenched, seeing the look of regret and shame on Kuvira.

"Vira?" She reached out towards her love but Kuvira recoiled away from her touch.

"I'm sorry. I-I can't."

She can't? "What do you mean?" She smiled despite the dread that was filling her body. "Do I do something wrong?"

"No, you didn't. It's just…"

"What?" Korra reached out to her but stopped when Kuvira took another step backwards. "Please, talk to me Kuvira."

"I… we cannot be together," Kuvira stated, "we do not know what will happen after we face Baatar."

"I know but we can tackle it together," Korra countered, "we can do anything as long as we have each other."

"I-I have to take responsibility for my actions," Kuvira avoided the pained look in Korra's eyes, "I cannot have Baatar be the only one to pay for his crimes."

"Does Baatar mean that much to you?" Korra wiped away the tears she didn't know that was flowing down her cheeks.

"Yes, he does." Kuvira looked up at Korra. "Please, don't make thi-"

"Do you love him?"

"What?"

"Do you love him?" Korra took a step forward, ignoring how Kuvira flinched. "Do you look at him like the way I look at you? Do you feel butterflies in your stomach whenever he smiles at you? Cause I can tell you for a fact that I do."

She grabbed her hands, caressing them. "I love you Kuvira, and I know you felt something when we kissed."

"I… I don't know. I don't know what I felt." Kuvira closed her eyes. A single tear escaped them. She got out of her grasp. "I just don't want him to be alone when they cast judgement on him. I know that if I was with you, I would escape any punishment while he would be blamed for everything." She opened her eyes. They were red now. "I don't want that for him."

Korra let go of her, backing away as she shook her head with a broken smile. "Of course the first girl I have a crush on, loves someone else." She choked out a bitter laugh. "Mom was right; this whole thing is just like with Mako. I'll never learn."

"Korra, I'm sorr-."

Korra held up a hand to stop her from finishing that sentence. "Please," she stressed, "don't say that word. It just hurts too much to hear it right now." She walked past the metalbender and towards her room. "I'll be fine once we arrive at Republic City. Just... leave me alone until then."

"I-… Okay Korra."

Kuvira watched with an aching heart as Korra left the common room. She reached inside her sash and took out a flask. It was filled with bourbon. She had promised herself and Korra to be clean when they started their journey. She had only brought her flask out at night when she knew the avatar was asleep. Not to consume the seductive liquid but to take a whiff of the hard liquor when she felt the urge to drink. It had helped her when she needed to scratch that itch.

She tore open the flask with her metalbending and took a quick swig of it. The liquor burned as it traveled down her throat. It felt like centuries since she last had a drink.

"Miss me dearie?"

Kuvira grabbed her head with one hand in pain. "Hey Mom." She cried as she crouched down.

Author's Note: I hope you like the somewhat spicy kiss between the two women. I was fun to write and I think I'm starting to get the hand of writing romance scenes. Major thanks to my other story, Can't Forget You for polishing that skill. Never thought I could write something like that when I first started writing.

Happy to notice there is a influx of users fav/follow and reviews this story. I never thought this story would get this much traction when I started it. It is amazing to see how much progress has been made since the beginning. Never would've got this far without you guys. Thank you all.

Next update is October 10th.

Till Next Time.
