Edward's P.O.V.:

I grabbed the two red heads who work for Carmen Sandiego, and put them in the house in Vermont. I didn't get the French man or the Spaniard but I will. I went back to the house in Alaska to see Rosalie left and Emmett and Esme were thinking about snowflakes and hummingbirds. That's all they have been thinking about recently like how no snowflake is the same or how some facts about hummingbirds. Then they switch to talking to Jasper the gemstone and the meaning behind Bella's name. They also think they are going to be rescued that's funny. Carlisle and I won't let them leave and I would know if someone tries to help them. The Volturi want Carmen Sandiego out of their hair I want revenge on Bella it's a win- win for us both.

Nina's P.O.V.:

I was listening to an audio book when Emmett called me. "Snowflake did you take flight ?" I heard Esme ask me I told just as the hummingbird beats it's colorful wings. I pulled into a drive through to get something to eat and asked them if they were ready for our hunting trip. They told me that they were. Odds say all their stuff was packed in hiking packs ready for me to grab them. I have all my clothes in a small backpack that I had painted on. Our conversation made no sense before we hung up.

I continued my audiobook as I ate parked in the parking lot when Carmen called me. Her ring tone was the cup song it was fitting for her I hit accept call as I tossed my trash through my window into a bin and started driving again. "Hello?" I asked when I did get my usual greeting from Carmen. I can't turn around now this was important.

"Nina it's Alice sorry for calling you using Carmen's phone but I don't have your number and Jasper and Graham are trying to get her from running off." Alice explained to me and I told her to continue. She filled me in but come to think of it I haven't seen tigress around lately it was probably a few days after Riley and I started hanging out. I told her I'll keep my ears open and keep Carmen there because they want us separated. To ask for my number from one of my siblings and that Carmen's main protection focus should be Graham. Alice agreed before running outside. "Nina I'm Sorry I have to tell you this but you will be gone longer than planned and Riley will leave to look for you then he will be grabbed." Alice sighed after telling me this. Bella said that the visions were based off choices we make .

"Odds say I find him I find Carmen's friends but Eddie and the doctor might have other ideas than leaving them human." I replied as I rubbed my nose then my neck with my right hand keeping my left one on the wheel. I sighed as I saw a road block a head making me take my first of many detours. Alice must have handed the phone to Peter since he was trying to talk to me. "Sorry Peter had to take a detour what were you saying." I waited for his reply and he said that he and Char will try to delay Riley as long as possible. We hung up after I said hi to Bella and Charlotte since Graham and Jasper had their hands full with Carmen. Then I heard Peter say that Edward is going to start targeting Bella's friends but not Jacob. I knew that would get her dad to investigate this is what Eddie wants. Now who is the puppet and who is the master.

After they hung up my audiobook came back on. I was glad I picked a few series with at least seven books each and I had a few language books two if I needed them. But I knew none of the books in the world would help with that dull ache in my chest I knew it would only go away when I'm close to Riley again. Carmen also over exaggerated what it's like for Peter and Charlotte to be away from each other. It's uncomfortable for them it gets more uncomfortable the further away from each other they go but they can always find each other and the parts of them worrying about the other and the protectiveness are true though. Not that I blame them about that it's instinctive. They won't hurt each other they are worried about others hurting them. I wonder if Riley would be the same or Gray for that matter. They probably would and I would have to drag Graham back to Carmen.

I wasn't aware of time I stopped a few times to fill my car, eat, change and wash my clothes. Peter, Alice ,Jasper and Emmett were the only ones I talked to as I drove as Charlotte was keeping Riley distracted for me and Gray was busy keeping Carmen from running out till Rosalie arrived or someone named Garrett along with some sisters named Tanya and Kate. Someone was actively trying to delay me I don't mind though since I don't get out much. I had done work on the car I took with me of course. I had no use for some of the things a car from the sixties had. Also the car would be loud and maybe not even ran if I didn't work on it. I kept listening to the news and my audio books as I drove. Emmett called me snowflake every time he called me it was a joke of course and I didn't mind. When I needed to freshen up I parked my car at a camp ground and used their facilities for a day and cooked something for myself.

I always had a tent in my trunk and other basic camping equipment so it's not strange when I do this. I've taken so many detours that I ended up in Manitoba heading to Ontario instead of in British Columbia heading to Yukon then to Alaska thank goodness I also packed snow tires since it was getting close to December. I looked at a map while sitting in my tent. My best chance is to go north into Nunavut then go west to Alaska. I started planning my route knowing that the call I have been dreading will come before I get to Emmett and Esme.

I heard movement from the camp next to mine which makes little sense since most humans would be asleep at this hour. So I went invisible and went to investigate. All I saw was the mime again knowing that he was looking for Carmen I appeared and tied him up quickly. "that's what you get for spying on me." I said in the best impression of my sister I could manage then I decided to snoop at the camp next to mine. Only to find Le chevre and El topo. I made sure I didn't have anything of value on me and went in.

"Hi I'm Nina I believe you guys and your tiger wannabe friend keep getting me confused with someone else." I told them warmly sitting on the ground a distance away from them. They were surprised that I was still awake I get that a lot but I'm used to it. "Jean Paul and this is Antonio and our tiger friend is Sheena. But I must Ask you why the red hat and coat?" Le chevre asked me and I told him that it was so my Halloween costume wouldn't get ruined and I borrowed it from someone they were not happy that I did though. I felt someone trying to get in my pocket and I grabbed them. "Play nice, princess I'm right next door so I know if you try anything." I told Tigress who just got back and tried to pickpocket me in my best impression of Gray and all three of them looked shocked. I told them good night and went back to my camp. Tigress didn't get anything important just what I wanted her to. And I wanted them to know that I knew Gray and I was in Australia recently up until about 3 months ago.

I packed up early in the morning when Antonio came over. "Nina have you seen a friend of ours looks like a mime. Here's that thing Sheena took from you last night and you did a great impression of a friend of ours I wonder if he heard it." He told me, I just pointed to where I tied the mime up last night and explained that I tied him up for snooping around and that this road trip has taken longer than planned. That was when my phone went off . Antonio went to get his friend the mime that was probably a good thing because I know what I'm going to hear and won't like it. I answered my phone to hear Peter telling me it happened Riley was now missing I felt numb inside. "Please tell me Gray is okay. " was all I could manage. I was away for so long that Riley came looking for me and is now in trouble. Peter told me he is fine and that the reinforcements showed up when I was around Alberta.

"Just be careful Angel dove kids have been disappearing and Charlie might get involved if you aren't back before new year's." Peter told me and I told him that I'll be back on the road as soon as I eat he agreed with that and hung up. I sat there numbly for awhile till Antonio and Jean Paul came over.

"What happened?" Jean Paul asked me as he nodded for Antonio to finish packing up for me. Sheena tried to take something from me again but I didn't care enough to stop her.

"My boyfriend is missing. I've been gone for weeks now so he came to look for me and something happened to him my older brother called to give me the news. I have to get to Alaska and do what I was going to do then back home quickly before something happens to my best friend." I explained forcing myself to get of the ground. Antonio asked for a picture of him incase they could help but when I went to grab it I saw Tigress with it. "he's kind of cute looking." She said unfolding the photo then looking surprised. Right it was the picture of Riley and Graham. I took it so we could laugh at it in the future.

She handed to me boys. They then pointed to Graham. "you know him?" Jean Paul asked me and I explained that Graham is my best friend. Then they asked me what my boyfriend's name was I told them then we parted ways. I focused on my books and driving taking the route I planned . I chose to make a call to the Volturi since there was nothing natural about these disappearances in Forks. Since they are all centered around one connection Bella. Make that two Bells and Carmen.

"Miss Whitlock to what do I owe the pleasure of you calling?" Aro asked from the other side of the phone and from his manor he knew that this was going on he wants Carmen gone so he's letting Eddie hurt Bella but I play along. And explained what's happening up to Riley's disappearance. All he said was they would send someone over to asses it if it's worth their time. I knew that that maybe four members of the guard would show up eventually. But he hung up on me and Alice called me sounding happy. At least she is.

"Nina my mate is coming here I'm excited oh and you're new friends will find Riley for you don't worry about it they won't have to contact you you'll find them." Alice said then I heard Carmen ask what friends so I pretended my phone was going to die and hung up. I continued my drive in silence from that point on. I started running songs through my head and texted Emmett a code for when I was a few days away. He just sent me a thumbs up and snowflake emoji as a reply. I just drove only stopping for gas and food. I didn't bother to change my clothes or wash up. I'll only wash up when I get to Alaska and started making a garbage bag so I can keep eating as I drove.

I was not going to turn around and let Jasper or Charlotte take over. Because if I turned around I was going to ask Jasper for a list of every house that the Cullen family owned in the United states and Canada then check them all. That was an afterthought maybe I should make myself a target I'm friends with Bella and Carmen Sandiego even better I'm related to Carmen Sandiego. If Edward wants to mess with Bella and Carmen then he has to come after me eventually. Luckily I act like a human so I can trick them easily. I quickly changed my thoughts to if Carmen finally told Gray the truth about us or did Jasper finally admit his feelings to Bella.

My phone went off it was only Jasper so I answered it. "Nina do you think you can handle it? We'll talk when you get back." He said and I knew he wouldn't like what I was going to suggest at all. I told him I can manage and that as long as there's no more detours I should be good. I know he could tell I was hurting but we need to get Emmett back to Rosalie soon and get Esme away from Carlisle before she gets hurt. I emotionally shut down not wanting to feel anything right now. He hung up knowing he wasn't going to get me to turn around without me driving my car who knows where.

I parked my car just outside Eddie's reach the next day. I texted Emmett the code to open the windows for me. As I got changed into an all black outfit and redid my hair braid. I then tracked towards the house through the trees and using my invisibility. When I was close enough to hear what was going on inside the house I heard yelling and screaming. I don't think Emmett and Esme will be whole when I get them now they will probably be missing at least one part each. My siblings know how that feels to be torn apart and put back together and they have the scars to prove it. I got lucky and ended up with only two scars one is on my neck and the other is on my chest. It's only from when I was turned and I attacked Jasper when I woke up so he put me in my place but I never got dismembered I just say I had a medical surgery as a kid when people see them.

I made it to the house. I watched as Emmett lead Esme single armed to the window. She opened it for me say she wanted to hear the breeze. I jumped in quickly. And noticed that Emmett had the door closed. I fogged up some glass on a window and wrote on it using my gloved hands to Ask if they were alone and drew a snowflake. I only appeared when Emmett said that they were. " The hummingbird flies in the sparkling snow." Emmett spoke when he saw me and told Esme what I looked like as I rolled my sleeve up to show the tattoo. " While the black sheep bleats it's lonely tune and the bear is asleep in it's cave." I responded bowing to Esme respectfully. "Grab your bags my brother ,Alice, Bella and Rosalie are expecting us back . I've been away long enough and I make stops for food. Do any of you require assistance?" I rushed out. Emmett said that he should be okay with one hand but I will have to guide Esme I just nodded.

We got out easily through the window I had to help them both but I didn't mind that and I made sure that the window was Closed and that we stuck to the road. Esme wanted me to call Jasper as soon as we got in the car and who was I too tell the hurt lady no. She had bandages over her eyes for Kingdom hearts sake. I want to say something else but I would have probably gotten slapped if I said it. We got in the car and I called Jasper as I started driving. "Nina are you okay did something go wrong?" Jasper asked as soon as he picked up the phone.

"Jasper do we have any rooms that aren't upstairs available for Esme? Eddie and the doctor took off with her Eyes and Emmett's arm probably because he tried to protect her." I Explained and I heard a angry growl from his side of the phone. It was probably Rosalie since Emmett tried to calm her down. "Nina you are lucky that Carmen and Graham are out on a group date with some kids from school right now." Jasper replied to me. So she hasn't told him yet and he's a walking target. I sighed and let Esme talk to Jasper as I drove. Emmett and Esme weren't hungry but how was Esme supposed to hunt without her eyes. "Jasper told me that you dropped the snowflake nickname so why use it to rescue us?" Emmett asked me after Jasper hung up.

"Misdirection if I had to fight they would be expecting a defenseless girl not the sister of the Major or the sister of the Captain and most definitely not me." I said which got Emmett to laugh as I got myself something to eat. He looked confused at me as I ate and drove. He then asked if he could call me Nina bear and I told him I don't see why not. I avoided detours on the way back.

"So Nina is there anyone who has caught your special eye?" Esme asked me and I went quiet. The numbness I've been trying to block had come back. I couldn't answer her it makes me numb I wanted to lie and say no ma'am my family is all I have. Emmett offered to drive for me as he saw my face fall out of a smile. I just told him I need the distraction that comes with driving. And that I'm going to burn the Cullen house in Forks down after looking for the body parts. And if any of Carmen's friends would end up special like me it would be Zack. He lives for food there's not one time that I called Carmen and he's asking about food. We drove in silence. "I'm Sorry Esme but I can't talk about them right now. They went to come find me and now they are missing. Kids have been disappearing for a while now Charlie is one more away from curfews and stuff. But he's missing the pattern all the people who went missing were friends of Bella's or friends with Carmen Sandiego. I am a target my self since I know Carmen Sandiego's real identity and I'm friends with Bella. I'm surprised the Volturi let this happen as long as it has." I explained to them and Emmett put his hand on my shoulder.

I sighed telling them that Carmen's mate would probably be the next target before me and how her two friends were already missing. Esme Gasped at what I was telling them. I called Jasper again and asked if he could run to the edge of town and meet us I don't think I could make it back to the house and the others were in no state to drive. He told me that he would before hanging up. Emmett seemed happier the closer to town we got. I told them about Graham and how he lives with us but doesn't know that vampires exist. So we'll have to get Emmett a prosthetic arm for now. But I'll find Edward Cullen and make him pay for taking my boyfriend. We got to the edge of town easily enough and Jasper was waiting for us. I moved in to the back seat and just tried to keep the numbness away.

"Nina you have to let yourself feel." Jasper told me when I closed off emotionally again. I painted a smile on my face for Graham and every one else. We pulled up to the house in no time at all when a blonde came out . I helped Esme inside then grabbed my bag and hers. I didn't say anything to Alice, the strangers, Gray or my siblings. I just helped Esme to the couch before heading upstairs to shower. I sat in my room afterwards having my hair towel drying and threw out a pair of leggings and shirt that read life is pain anyone who says otherwise is selling something. I sat on my bed strumming a guitar absent mindedly.

I was playing for a while when one of the strangers walked in. "Graham wanted me to check in on you and Charlotte wanted me to bring you food. I'm Tanya." She introduced herself and I motioned for her to sit down. I didn't touch the food just kept playing letting my mind go through my memories of Riley.

" He must have been something who was he?" Tanya asked me and I started to tell her while eating. I knew I wasn't going to be okay for awhile but I'll manage it. I have to manage it for Carmen's sake and Jasper's. I also should focus on protecting Gray and Bella . I went back to playing my guitar not paying attention to much of anything but Tanya still sat there in my room with me.
