It was the first day of a four week christmas vacation, I was sitting in my room making In ear monitors for the girls and for myself for christmas. I was working on it when I heard a shout from the kitchen "F##K" I ran out of my room to the noise
"What's wrong Ane-chan" I asked my sister
"I wanted to make something special today for dinner but we don't have the items at home" she said
"Ah yes, typical you" I said while giving her a smirk
"Hey, that was uncalled for" she said giving a punch while pouting
"Tell you what, make a list of whatever you want and I'll go to the grocery store and get it" I offered
"You would? Thank you so much" she said while hugging me
"Enough with the affection, Knock on my door when the list is done" I said while getting out of the hug
I spent the next half an hour working on the 3rd in ear when I heard a knock on the door
"I've done with the list" she said while handing me a large list
"Why is this list so large?" I asked while reading the list "Oh! We are making hotpot today?"
"You could tell that just by reading the ingredients?" she asked
I gave her a nod "I was thinking of making an entire hotpot for myself for christmas but the you arrived" I said sticking out my tongue
"BAKA" she said while trying to give me a hit which I dodged
"I'll see myself out now" I said going to my room to get my wallet, phone and bag
I decided to walk to the store where I usually did my shopping over there I saw Ui in front of the vegetable aisle
"Hey there Ui" I said while walking over to her
"Hey there Kawamura-san" she said turning over to face me "What are you buying?"
"My sister wanted to make hot-pot today, so I came to buy the items required" I said
"I thought that you lived alone" said Ui
"I did, until last month when she came here for her further studies" I said
"Ah that explains it" she replied "Do you have time for a quick coffee before leaving or are you busy?"
"No,I am free. Why do you ask tho?" I asked her
"I need to talk to you about something regarding my sister" she said
"Regarding Yui?" i asked
"Let's finish shopping then we can go to a nearby cafe" she said
After finishing shopping we went to a nearby starbucks. After getting our orders we sat down at a table in the corner of a cafe
"So what did you want to talk to me about?" I asked her
"Oh, just that you have a crush on my sister" she said while picking up her drink with a smirk
"WH-WH-WHAT! HOW DID YOU KNOW?" I said while sputtering on my drink
"Kawamura-san, I could notice it the first time Yui hugged you, you didn't resist it nor did you accept it with blank emotion" she said "Also almost everyone knows"
"Almost everyone?" I asked with a confused look on my face
"Almost everyone includes us" as I heard a familiar voice behind me
While turning my head I saw the rest of the band with the exception of Yui and Nodoka was also present
"Did you seriously think that we would not notice?" said Ritsu elbowing me
"Now that the secret is out" Mio said with a hint of sarcasm "What will you do"
"I-I-I-I have no clue, I mean I would try to ask her out, but I don't know if she would reciprocate my feelings" I said
"Kawamura-san, do you know something?" said Ui "Whenever she is at home she either talks about two things either her guitar or you"
"Wait, she does?" I asked her in surprise "I expected the guitar but not me"
"I tell you she does, she keeps saying that you are an extremely kind and patient person with a heart of gold" Ui said trying to assure me
"Is this what she says or are you just trying to assure me" I asked quizzically
"Of course, you wouldn't think I'm lying" Ui said
"ARGHHHHHH, what do I do" I said while placing my head on the table
"Oh you poor guy" said Mugi while stroking my back
"Why don't I hold a christmas party, Yui would certainly love to have all of you guys coming over" said Ui
"That seems like a good Idea" said Nodoka "Yui would certainly love having you all there"
"Hey Kawamura" said Ritsu slapping my back "You got this"
"Heh,thanks" I managed to mutter out before leaving
"See you on christmas" said Ui
"Yea, I'll be there" I said while exiting the cafe
I took a rather long detour and finally reached home after 45 minutes
"Well that took you rather long" she said
"Yea it did" My voice was stressed
"Hey what's the matter" she asked "Did something happen?"
"Can we talk over this during dinner Ane-chan?" I asked
"Sure I'll call you when dinner is ready" she said with a hint of concern in her voice
I decided to finish work on the In-ears, I had almost finished it when I heard a knock
"Akhiko, dinner is ready" my sister said knocking on the door
"In a minute Ane-Chan" I said while stowing away my tools at the bottom of my drawer
Walking out and sitting at the dining table we both said our thanks for our food and started eating
"Want to tell me what happened" my sister asked pulling out a piece of meat from the pot
I explained to her what happened over the course of dinner
"OH" she said while having her beer "You certainly are in a tough situation"
"Tough situation" I said while almost choking on my coke "Try an Insane situation"
"The best thing you can do is convey your feelings to her" my sister said
"I know but how?" I remarked while almost facepalming myself into my rice bowl
"What about the christmas party? You can talk to her over there and possibly confess" she said getting up and taking the dishes
"You know what? I'm gonna do it. I'm going to confess to her at the party" I told her
"That's the Akhiko I know and love" she said while hugging me
I was filled with newfound energy to do anything now and I was more ready than ever
