As Nala and her daughter strolled through the savannah. They actually did their hunt, even if they have their own hunting party to do all the work, it never hurts to try and get their paws dirty. They found a lone zebra and both of them took it down in a matter of seconds and they shared their meal. After their meal, as it is with felines they groom themselves and licked their paws.

"Come on Kiara, let's get back to Pride Rock." Nala said and stood.

"You go ahead, I'm going to Rafiki's."

Kiara replied.

"Why? What's with you and Rafiki?"

"Well... It's nothing really, it's just a visit... yeah just a visit."

"Ok, be careful."

Both of them went their separate ways. The current time is noon, the sun was up high in the sky. The weather was warm but it didn't prove to be a problem to Kiara as the calm and cool wind made up for the scorching, hot temperature. Kiara walked just at the ends of the Pridelands' borders. She had one thing in mind, her father and Kovu. Her travel would take a while but as the day was still young, it didn't worry her. She expected to arrive before sundown. Her interaction with Makosa was hard for her to ignore, it was disturbing for her. She tried to ignore it by distracting herself but the thought of it kept reappearing. She needed someone to talk about it and get it out of her.

Meanwhile, back at Simba and Kovu. They had been under Rafiki's tree for a while now. Rafiki had gone to do his own business up his tree and Timon and Pumbaa had gone out to get some grubs. All that was left were the two lions.

Kovu was daydreaming, thinking about him being as a father, it worried him a little as he has nearly zero knowledge of being a parent. He wondered what should he do in certain situations, but most of all he asked himself, "How do I do my best?" He then thought to ask Simba whose been through fatherhood as with raising Kiara. He hoped to get a preview of what parenthood actually is.

"How did you feel being a father for the first time?" Kovu started.

Simba was surprised by the chosen topic of his.

"Well of course I was happy. When I saw the beautiful eyes of my daughter when she was born, I couldn't be much happier." He replied.

"But it's also coupled with alot nervousness. You start overthinking about things of what you should and shouldn't do, you'd get very anxious when you take your eyes of them. You have to plan alot of things in advance."

"Plan things in advance? Sheesh, sounds like alot of work." Kovu said.

"It is. Without a doubt it's one of the hardest responsibilities to be given. But as a tip, don't do what I did with Kiara."

"Why?"

"Well, looking back at the things I've done to her as a parent, I realized I was too strict, I barely gave her any freedom and I always make Timon and Pumbaa look after her."

"Worry much?" Kovu chuckled.

"Yeah, I was. Just don't do the same mistakes I did and you'll be fine. Besides, at the end of the day, everything went alright."

"The best part is you get to hear them say "I love you." It's simple but very rewarding." Simba concluded.

"I guess that's true."

"What made you ask? You nervous?" Simba inquired.

"Yes and no. I just think that I won't be good that's all."

"Don't think of it too much, you'll do great. The fatherly instincts within you kicks in right away when you finally get to see them." Simba positively replied.

"Then again if you can't handle them just give them to me an Nala." Simba joked.

The two of them laughed it off. They conversed as the long as they could, coming up with new topics to talk and laugh lengthened their interaction. Even at their current situation they kept their hopes up and stayed positive.

Meanwhile, Kiara was nearing Rafiki's tree. Every step of her getting closer made Kovu and Simba's voices gradually became audible to the point she could recognize them. She came around the foot of the tree and saw then both interacting with each other. It cheered her up a little. But something was bothering her.

"Hey, Kiara good to see you again." Simba greeted.

"You too." She replied.

"How was your mother?" Her father asked.

"She's fine. You?"

"Well, I still can't walk."

"What's the matter? You look disturbed." Kovu inquired, noticing how Kiara's look resembled someone who had something thinking about.

"It's alright, I just went through something really weird." Kiara answered.

"What's it about?"

"It's about Makosa. He... He proposed to me, and he wanted me to be his queen."

"Also the way he talks."

"He told me that I have an "exceptional figure" Do you know where this is going?"

Kiara felt uncomfortable just by saying what she had in mind. Kovu and Simba definitely knew where it was going. It was concerning to both of them.

"Dad, you know what he's gonna do to me." Kiara looked at her father with concern.

"Just avoid him as much as you can. Do what you must to keep yourself away from him." Simba answered.

"But what if he doesn't stop? What then after that?"

"He's also planning to expand his territory by taking over our neighboring prides. To cut it short, he's going to start a war, and you what'll happen next. What should I do?" Kiara continued.

Simba remained silent, he tried to come up with a solution to help her daughter, but it seems that doable options were running on low.

"Hey, it won't be long before he gets back up on his feet." Kovu reassured and nuzzled her.

"Hopefully. Sorry if I ruined all of your mood, I'm just scared, that's all."

"It's alright, we're here."

Momentarily, Timon and Pumbaa returned from their scavenge for bugs.

"I see the gang's back together." Timon suddenly intervened.

"Timon, Pumbaa, nice to see you two." Kiara greeted.

"Brought the grubs I asked for?" Simba joked.

"I don't remember you asking for some grubs." Timon sarcastically replied.

And so they have gathered under the boabab tree interacting with one another. Simba was worried, he knew that aside from being positive from where he's at, he still had the sense of concern with the current situation of the Pridelands. He knows that Makosa starting a war wouldn't end without spilling blood, and it is not about who they will be fighting.

Simba started to consider the option to request for assistance from their neighboring prides. But he decided to wait until something arises. His only source of information about the Pridelands would come from her daughter and her only. If Kiara couldn't report back to Simba he may have to consider the option, but he has faith for her daughter and knows that she will do her best. As for now they're playing the waiting game.
