Griff makes it to Hill Valley after Buford "Mad Dog" Tannen makes his last kill for the day.
Buford: Ha ha! All them three brothers have been shot down and killed! Nobody calls me Mad Dog ever! I hate that name! You all hear me! Anybody who calls me Mad Dog will get killed!
Buford then runs away in his horse and heads back home until Griff stops him outside of Hill Valley.
Griff: Stop!
Buford: Who are you?
Griff: Wayne Carter.
Buford: What do you want Mr. Carter?
Griff: A deal. A deal to destroy Hill Valley so you can create it in your image.
Buford: Seems like you're trying to make my life better.
Griff: This will be the best deal you will ever make. We will destroy this place with gasoline and set the whole town on fire.
Buford: No. Someone tried doing that last year to the town and it didn't work out.
Marty Jr.: It's not going to happen at all guys!
Buford: Who the heck are you guys!
Marty Jr.: I'm John Wayne! And these are my buddies here to stop you two!
Griff: I'll head over town to burn it while you deal with these guys!
As Griff runs over to town, Buford prepares to shoot them by tying them up in a rope on a tree awaiting for Griff's arrival back. Meanwhile back at Hill Valley, Griff steals gasoline from the local gasoline shop and pours it on the sheriff's office then gets ready to burn it until he's stopped by Marshall Strickland and his deputy.
Marshall Strickland: Stop!
Griff: Back off you bastards!
Deputy: Absolutely not! We're not going to have another fellow trying to destroy this beloved town!
Griff: It's not going to fail this time so, I'd scram if I were you!
As soon as Griff gets his gun out, Marshall shots it as soon as he attempts to kill the deputy.
Deputy: You're under arrest for attempted murder and attempting arson!
Griff: Not for long!
Griff knocks out Marshall and his deputy and heads back to Buford and the guys with another plan to just kill them all,
