JINBE IS CHAPTER 10!

1/26/21 AN:…. So. I completely overhauled this chapter, because, honestly, I totally skimped on it, and did a basic summery of all the characters instead of little conversations like all the previous chapters. I also had Sunny not liking the crew until after Thriller Bark, which super rubs me the wrong way rereading. So. All changed! And Jinbe!

AN: Yes… its been forever since this was updated. But this is the last chapter. The reason it took me so long was because I hardly know Sunny. I mean, he's a ship. Okay, Merry was a ship too, but I've known her so much longer and her personality is so new. Sunny hasn't been around long, and they've hardly been on Sunny so… that's also the reason the format is so different.

Sunny is a ship built for war. She is powerful, brave, tough, and durable. She needs to be, to run with this crew.

Her Captain follows his own logic, but always leads them to adventure. Sunny relishes the challenge to overcome the next obstacle.

"Hey, Nami, we need to go check out that island!"

"… you mean that island with pointy sticks coming out of the water all around it… pointy sticks that have various skeletons on them?"

"Yeah, that island! It looks cool!"

"…"

"C'mon, Nami! Sunny can handle it!"

"What about me!"

"Sunny will protect you!"

Her Swordsman is her greatest source of entertainment. He has his favorite places to nap, but then he finds the most interesting places. Sunny swears he teleports sometimes.

"Zzzzzz."

"… Robin, did you hear that?"

"I did Chopper."

"Zzzzz."

"Is… is that Zoro?"

"I believe it is."

"Is… is he sleeping behind the books on the bookshelf?"

"… Yes, it appears he is."

"HOW!"

Her Navigator is the best, beyond a doubt. She has seen her outsmart so many others and save Sunny in the process.

"Jinbe, move Sunny three degrees south, NOW!"

"On it!"

"…"

"Was… was that lightening and rocks that just hit next to us?"

"Yes, yes it was Usopp."

"How- why- there are only little fluffy white clouds in the sky!"

"New World weather."

"… yeah, okay."

It took a little bit for her Snipper to warm up to her, but warm up he did.

"Hey, Franky, I found this oil that I think might be a little better for Sunny."

"Let's see bro!"

"It's a little more water repellent, so I think it would work better, specifically for the ropes in the sail."

"Supa! Let's try it out!"

Her Cook truly makes the kitchen the heart of the ship.

"Sanji-kun, is that new?"

"Oh, um, yes, Nami-swan! I, uh, had a little extra in the food budget, and I saw this on the last island. Thought it'd look nice in the kitchen. It reminded me of Sunny."

"Its cute, I like it."

"You do?"

"Yes, I do. … if you want, I can give you a few extra beri, if you want to add a few more piece of art here."

"Re-really?"

"A very small amount! Twenty beri every other stop. Use it wisely, got it!"

"Yes Nami-swan!"

Her Doctor keeps her crazy crew alive, and Sunny knew they do not make it easy for him.

"Damnit, Luffy, get on Sunny! You need to go to the infirmary!"

"Aw, Chopper, isn't not that bad!"

"YES IT IS!"

"Hey, wasn't Zoro supposed to come along too?"

"Oh no! You're right Usopp! Go find Zoro! He needs stitches!"

"… nothing like asking the impossible…"

"LUFFY! GET BACK HERE!"

"Yay, tag with Chopper!"

Her Historian brings so many secrets on board, and Sunny loves it. She has so many documents, transcribes her own knowledge down to add to the ship library… very few, if any, ships can compare.

"Yo, Robin, what's in the bag?"

"Oh, just a few little precious baubles that I thought would be better served on Sunny."

"Does Nami know?"

"Not that sort of precious. That crew did not properly appreciate what they had. I do, so it will be added to my collection, to be kept safe on Sunny."

"Gotcha."

Her Shipwright is a bit of a mad genius and constantly adds elements to Sunny so she can better keep her crew safe.

"If I move this… and reinforce this… and maybe…."

"What are you working on Franky?"

"Huh? Oh, hey Zoro. I'm trying to add a battering ram to Sunny's bow, in case we need to break through something."

"The gun wouldn't take care of it?"

"Well, the bullets would weaken whatever it is, but the ramp would break it apart more, and better protect Sunny."

"What if you put a sharp point on the end too? Then Sunny can stab people too."

"Supa idea!"

Sunny makes a special effort for her Musician. He had been alone for so long on a dead ship, and Sunny makes sure he knows he is never alone when he is with her, even if none of the other crew are onboard.

"Oh, Brook, I hadn't realized anyone had stayed behind on Sunny."

"Hello Nami. I had thought about going into port, but… having tea with Sunny seemed like a lovely way to spend the afternoon."

"Aw, that's so swe-"

"Besides, I did not see any lovely ladies to ask about panties!"

"Pervert!"

Her Helmsman is an absolute master and Sunny thrives on the feats she accomplishes under his skill.

"Please Jinbe?"

"…"

"Please!"

"…"

"Pleeeease!"

"…"

"PleasePleasePleasePleasePleasePleasePleasePleasePleasePleasePlease-"

"He won't shut up until you do."

"I fear you are right Zoro. Fine Luffy! Give everyone a moment to strap in. Then Sunny and I will do some tricks."

"YES!"

Yes, Sunny loves her crew and is proud to be a Strawhat.
