Cas' wings closed in a little more as Dean slept, peaceful for the first time in forever, it felt like. His chest rising and falling slowly relaxed the angel as he studied his face for any signs of distress.

I love you.

His wings tensed around Dean, waking him up, as he heard a gust of wind alert a visitor outside. Cas stared at the door, daring anything to disturb Dean.

"Cas?" Dean yawned. "What is it?"

"I don't know...stay here..." Cas crept towards the door, feeling no presence outside. He heard nothing either.

"Be careful..." Dean threw his shirt on, reaching for his knife.

Cas checked the warding on the door one more time before disappearing outside. Dean hated being alone, but it was only a second later when Cas returned, looking confused.

"Anything?"

"No...just this note..." He looked down, trying to decipher it.

"Let me see." Dean reached his hand out and read it.

Hey there, long time no see

Heard Luci is being a dick, no surprise

But seriously, little bro, you gotta go NOW

Everyone knows

Love,

G

"Who's G?" Dean squinted his face. "Is it...God?"

"No..." Cas was terrified. "It's my brother...I thought he was dead, but..." He took Dean's hand. "We gotta go..."
