"Goshiki?"
The boy in question snapped his head up. Hinata's face was very concerned.
"You okay?" the orange haired boy asked. "You've been acting off all day."
Tsutomu waved his hand. "Yeah, I'm good. Sorry." He looked down at his rice bowl. "I didn't get much sleep last night." He picked his head back up with a grin. "Too excited about hero training today."
Hinata nodded, giving a suspicious look. Tsutomu still couldn't get the shout out of his head. It was too panicked and horrific. It sounded so familiar the night before, but he could barely place it because of how distorted by pain it was. But hearing Hinata's voice that morning, and even at lunch-
"Anyway, Hinata," Tsutomi continued, turning to the neon beacon, "what were you saying?"
"Right!" That distracted him. "I heard Tiny Giant is gonna be teaching this year!"
"He's the youngest hero to ever get on the top ten, right?" Yachi asked.
Hinata looked to the left of his head. "Actually, the youngest male hero," he corrected. "There was a non-binary hero a lot younger than him in the top ten the year before."
Inuoka slammed his hands on the table. "Magenta Riot! They're the child of Dynamight and Red Riot!"
Hinata jumped up, feathers rustling. "Yeah, and their brother is Imperial Riot!"
Inuoka also jumped up, his wings growing out of his back. "Yeah! They're so cool!"
"Sit down," an unfriendly voice commanded. "You're disrupting my lunch."
Hinata turned to the blond boy that the voice came from. "Come on, Tsukishima, you don't have to be so mean all the time."
Tsukishima placed his chopsticks down. "Actually, you know what, I lost my appetite. The shorty infected my food."
The argument continued, with onlookers slowly gathering around as Hinata's wings extended. As this happened, Tsutomu sighed, pushing the scream out of his head. Nothing was wrong there. That was just a very realistic dream. Everything was fine.
