Author- I don't know if I can even call myself an author but here it goes.
Disclaimer!
I don't own anything, all of this is JK Rowling's. Also this is my first fic on this site so bare with me and my awful grammar and spelling. I am in no way shape or form a professional writer and this is just a hobby. I am also from America, so the only British words I know are from Harry Potter so bare with me. Also, as I said at the beginning, this fic is a combination of a bunch of head-canons and ideas that I've seen on Pinterest. So some of the points or conversations in the story are not original. I decided to put them all together.
ALSO! the story is going to be altering a bit. Every chapter will be events rather than everyday life. So for example, Christmas', birthdays, weddings, etc. Hope this is okay.
Anyway... here's chapter 11!
Chapter 11-
Awhile ago...
Harry POV~
Ginny stood in front of Mrs. Weasley. Harry, Ron, and George stood behind a wall, bracing for what was about to happen.
At the moment it was just the two staring at each other. Each minute that went by the boys got more and more scared.
"You are not allowed to have a tattoo." Mrs. Weasley said, still as can be with her hand on her hip. Ginny mirroring the gesture.
"I already have one."
"You knew it was forbidden."
"It's my choice."
"It is a meaningless tattoo you got because of the others."
"Luna doesn't give meaningless tattoos."
"You marred your body."
"I put my personality on my skin."
A sigh from Mrs. Weasley. "Fine." Ginny smiled and kissed her on the cheek. Harry knew Mrs. Weasley always had a soft spot for Ginny. And knew when to pick her battles. The boys followed her at a fast pace out the door before Mrs. Weasley saw their tattoos.
Ginny POV~
Present time...
It was a day before Harry's birthday and Ginny had yet to find a perfect gift for Harry. Multiple times she had gone into stores found something and then walked right out, empty-handed. She sat on the couch, her hair in her hands, trying to think of a gift. George watched her from the kitchen with a small smile. Ginny glared at him.
"Well either you're on your period or you're stressed about Harry's birthday." My glare intensified at his words. Even though his grief had become less, he still had a hanging shadow over his head. As if sensing her thoughts George's face fell. "I'm alright, you know. You all can stop worrying about me."
"Mmhhmm yeah okay, I don't really care. I'm having a crisis here." Ginny said looking at the ceiling, willing her brain to work.
"That's the Ginny I know and love," He smacked a big wet kiss playfully on my cheek. I rubbed it off in mock disgust.
"Why don't I help you with the gift hunt." George offered.
"No," Ginny said sternly, "I have to figure this out on my own."
"Well okay. When you're done ripping our your hair we're going to be on the field."
Ginny grumbled as he shut the door. What the fuck was she going to do. She had no clue what to get him. She didn't realize when she started pacing but continued. A sock! no. A card! no. Could Ginny not think of one simple thing? It had to be meaningful and unique to him. She ended up sitting upside down on the couch until...
"I'VE GOT IT!" She began 'whooping' very loudly at her triumph. Her Mother and Father came running down the stairs, concerned looks on their faces.
"What? Who is it?" Dad had a toothbrush in his hand, waving it about like a sword.
"Just who I wanted to talk to!" Ginny exclaimed, she motioned them over and quickly told them her idea.
Harry POV~
Harry was out of his body, a ghost. He didn't feel pain or the trickle of rain slowly seeping from the sky. He was looking down at his own lifeless body, with Ginny leaned over it crying. She was begging him to come back. Ron was shaking him, slapping him in the face and only stopped when Hermione pulled him away. He tore his eyes from his body and saw Voldemort staring at him. The amused cold face taunting him.
"Hello Harry."
Harry jolted awake. Breathing fast, he covered his face with his hands. The images came flooding back and he ripped his hands off his face faster than he could think. He grabbed his wand and thought of the incantation, light flooded the room. Ginny, startled by his outburst, stared at him.
Harry mumbled an apology. She gave him a sleepy smile and hugged him. They stayed like that until Harry stopped shaking enough for him to lay down.
"Your the bravest person I know." He told a half asleep Ginny.
"Damn straight." Harry smiled at his only love and as she fell asleep on his chest. Leaving his wand alit, he fell asleep as well.
"OI, HARRY. MATE IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY!"
Ginny groaned at the loud Ron. "He knows Ron, pipe down will you."
"Fiiinnne. But if you guys aren't out here by noon, I'm coming in." Harry listened to his footsteps down the stairs. Ginny cuddled closer to Harry and that was the best gift he could have asked for. Just being here with her all day.
"Well, Ron has established it's your birthday. This is probably the first time he's ever woken up this early." Harry groaned and buried his face in her hair.
"Can't we just lay here all day."
"Absolutely, but when Ron comes in and see me in your t-shirt he might not speak to you for a week."
"Worth it." Harry pulled back his head to look at her. The messy red hair and the half open eyes. God, she was going to be the death of him. Her expression changed from a lazy smile to something he couldn't name. He slowly, ever so slowly, leaned down and kissed her. Sparks flew inside his eyelids at the very thought of kissing Ginny, actually having his arms wrapped around her small form was like fireworks compared to the tiny sparks. His hands glided down to her waist and pulled her closer. She left out a breathless moan which almost made Harry loose all the control he had on his desire. Still slowly he shifted so that he was on top of her. She took the oportunity to run her fingers through his already messy black hair. She leaned up brushing herself on his member. He let out a low groan into her mouth. She smiled, moving her hands to the end of his shirt, pulling. He obeyed the silent command and took off his shirt. She raked her hands over every mark and scar. Harry, barley holding himself together, moved a free hand to stroke her leg. She let out a grunt of impatience and moved his hand to her shirt.
He broke away, "Are you sure?"
"God Harry, yes. I've been sure since the day you couldn't run through that damn wall." With a breathy laugh he warily lifted his shirt, helping her shrug out of it. That sent a sliver of smugness through him. His shirt. He continued to kiss her, the laziness left behind. Ginny pulled away looking into his eyes after both of their lips were swollen.
"Even though I want so, so much to do this," She said with desire flaring in her eyes, "Its 5 till noon and Ron walking in on her half naked best friend and sister snogging doesn't sound like a great way to start your birthday."
Harry smiled, "What do you mean? This is the best way to start a birthday!" Harry pecked playful kisses around her face. Ginny giggled, actually giggled. Harry's smiled widened. Then they heard the footsteps. The two half naked teens sprang up, getting caught in one another's legs, trying to put their clothes on. Just as Ron barged in with a kazoo hanging out of his mouth, Harry and Ginny were acting like they were just walking out. Fully clothed. Attached at the waist.
"Morning Ron," Harry said, walking down the stairs. Ron seemed disappointed but followed them down.
"Oh Harry, Happy birthday." Mrs. Weasley said when she saw him. A ring of Happy Birthday's rang throughout the kitchen and living room. A mumbled 'thank you' came from Harry.
"Luna, Neville, Andromeda, Teddy, the rest of the redheads, and maybe Minerva if we're lucky, will be here tonight for the party."
"Mrs. Weasley you know you didn't have to do this."
"Oh Harry, my only purpose is to give you a full birthday when those horrid relatives of yours didn't even gi-"
"Mum," Ginny interrupted, "Do you need help with anything?" Harry looked gratefully at Ginny.
"No honey I don't but thank you. Why don't you two go get Ron and George and clean up the yard." Mrs. Weasley turned around to find empty spots where the teens used to be. Harry and Ginny had went outside, not to clean, but to apparate to the flat Harry was going to rent. If Ron even let him.
Ginny POV~
Harry had already seen the flat, but he wanted my approval. I grew more and more excited as we apparated to the front door.
"It's two bedrooms. I couldn't find a four that wasn't a huge penthouse." I readied myself as if I was going into battle, earning a laugh from Harry as he opened the door. I walked in and was in awe at the beauty of it. The ceiling had wooden beams and small lights hung, glittering like fairy's. The walls was a soft cream white and other than the lights there was no furniture. They stepped through the threshold into the hall. On her right there was an open door, she could see it was part utilities room and part coat closet. On her left was the door to the bathroom. A beautiful bathroom that wasn't modern nor out of style. She kept walking and as the hallway was coming to an end there was a last door. She walked in to find 4 bookshelf's lining one wall with a cut out portion that held a bed.
"M'ione," was all she said. Harry nodded.
Once in the room the door to the previous bathroom on the left and the closet on the right. Other than the shelfs and bed there was no furniture. I knew Harry was waiting for everyone to agree but he couldn't help himself for making each room personal. They stepped back into the hall and went to the end. The room opened up into a huge high ceiling living room. The whole back wall was windows with a view that brought tears to my eyes. Almost. It was London, yes, but it was different. Quieter. Again the living room was sparse. One of the corners of the living room was an island-like bar that led to the kitchen, with the same style as the bathroom. One last door. Ginny floated over to it and slowly turned the knob. The entire celling was covered in stars. A tapestry was hung, corner to corner to provide this effect. She gasped.
"I always see you looking at them when you have nightmares so I figured that you could have them at disposal."
"I love it." She whispered. She turned and hugged Harry with all her might. "I love it all."
Harry was smiling, "Theres a bathroom through there and a closet through that. Once the Harpies games start up we could hang something in there. Unless you want to-"
"It's perfect."
Harry POV~
The entire evening was amazing, despite that he was the center of attention. Everyone Mrs. Weasley said was coming had walked in at every hour except the time they were supposed to come. Once everyone had eaten they all sat down in the cramped living room for the gift-giving ceremony. Harry had gotten many gag gifts and heartfelt ones as well. His most prized gift so far was the...scarf? Professor McGonagall had knitted him. She gave it to him with a hint of a smile. So that was her idea of a gag gift. It made Harry smile. Luna gave him a funny looking necklace to keep something or other away, Harry would wear it always. Neville gave him a prickly plant that needed little care and little water, Ron had joked that he showed how much faith Neville had in Harry, which earned him a slap from Hermione and a bumbling excuse from Neville. After reassuring Neville it was alright, Teddy stepped up to give his gift. Teddy had given him a homemade card that was very colorful. Harry decided that next time he went into town he would frame it. After everyone had left and it was just the Weasleys and Hermione and himself they sat around and gave Harry more gifts. Ginny laughed at his face when she saw the forced smile.
George stepped up first, "Complements of Weasley's Wizard Weezes." He handed him a bag with what was, no doubt, packed to the brim with all sorts of mischief. Charlie stepped up next gave him dragon skin boots. He stopped Hermione just as she was standing up to protest about something. Harry really didn't know. Charlie said that the dragons shed their scales and the boots are fire resistant. Moving right along, Bill and Fleur gave Harry a new broom. Not necessarily a fast one but a new broom none the less. Harry didn't care that it wasn't a Firebolt, they had their own life's to fund. Percy had given him a new quill and parchment. A nice gesture. Ron gave him tickets to the next world cup that was coming up, this made everyone look at the calendar. Had it really been four years? And Hermione, to no surprise, gave him a books. It was about the auror training program. The next gift came from Mrs. and Mr. Weasley.
"Well we can't take full credit for this gift, it was Ginny's idea." They all turned to her.
"Oh shut up and give it to him already. It's a gift from you two." They gave him a narrow wrapped box. He looked at it puzzled. As he opened it he found...nothing. He looked up.
"See I told you he'd be confused," said Mr. Weasley, "We already put it in the kitchen." Harry stood and looked at Ginny, hoping for a clue at what this was. Ginny just smiled that smile that made him love her more and more and led him to the kitchen. He looked around.
"If it's a new toaster then I'll have to charge a fee for you to use it." Harry said jokingly. They laughed but they got quiet at Ginny pointed to the magical grandfather clock. One of the first things Harry saw the first time he came into this home away from home. There, right next to Ginny's, was a spoon just for Harry. As most of the Weasley family was home (except for Fred being at school) all of the spoons were pointed to home. Harry barked out a laugh through his tears. He hadn't even realized he began crying. He was a part of this family, and this was his home. He turned around to a kitchen full of teary eyed red-heads. He ran and hugged all of them, practically sobbing.
Ginny POV~
They had stayed there hugging and crying for awhile. Then everyone but Ginny, Harry, Ron, and Hermione went upstairs for bed. They were sitting in a comfortable silence when Harry spoke.
"Ron, 'Mione, I wanted to talk to you about something." Harry was visibly nervous. Ron and Hermione sat up slightly, worried.
Ginny spoke quickly, "It's nothing bad."
"Oh yes, right sorry, um well I-" Harry looked over to Ginny for support.
"You're pregnant, aren't you?" Ron said.
"No, God no Ron." They both said at once. Harry continued, "No, um well, you see, I just thought that since I'm going to auror training in London and evrything I would want to be in the city. And to have a place of my own." Obviously Ron wasn't following but Hermione was. She smiled but became thoughtful. "Well, I don't know if you'd want to but I found a perfect flat in the city that's big enough for all of us, and I was just wondering if maybe you wanted to bunk with me?" Harry sighed in relief at the end of his sentence.
"Harry, you know we don't have that sort of money an-"
"My God Ron, Harry is offering to rent the place for all of us." Hermione said. Ron looking with surprise at her. "Oh wipe off that look on your face. I was just trying to avoid that awkward conversation."
Ginny spoke now, "Ron, once you start working at the ministry you can pay him back if you want to."
Harry found his voice, "Ron, you and your family have done so much for me since the day I met you. Without you and Hermione I would be dead, let me repay you in anyway. This is my gift to you." He turned to Hermione, "'M'ione, you are the cleverest, kindest person I know and without your wits and common sense I would have been dead first year."
"Well, Ron can sulk all he wants but I'm going with you. If not to be closer than to lend more of my common sense to you." Hermione said, she grabbed Ron's hand, "I mean you and Ginny get to get out of this house and find your place in the world, and Harry feels bad for taking up space here- oh don't look at me like that Harry, you practically scream it everyday when telling Mrs. Weasley your sorry for staying here, my god- anyway as I was saying, Harry is going to leave whether you say yes or no and I for one don't want him to have to do this all alone. Plus, even though I love the burrow it's a little...there's not a lot of privacy." As Hermione finished, Ron squinted at her, then Harry, then Ginny.
"Fine."
That night~
Ginny POV~
"What's your favorite color?" Ginny asked.
A laugh, "What? Why do you want to know."
"Well, I mean, you've never told me before and um-" She stopped, too embarrassed to say.
"It's always been red. But now I can barely stand the color." The death, Ginny thought. He's seen so much bloodshed she wouldn't blame him for never wanting to see the color again.
"The dark crimson red I hate. I have a certain liking to this fiery Ginny red though." He lifted a strand of my hair. She let out a relieved sigh.
"What?" Concern crossed his face.
"You see...I couldn't think of what to get you..so um I made you a-" She stood up and walked to her dresser pulling something out from behind it and walked back over.
"Is that- Is that a friendship bracelet?" he stared at it, barley containing his laughter.
"Fine, I'll go give it to Ron!" She turned to storm out but Harry caught her.
"Nonono, I want it." Ginny looked up at him, glaring.
"Well okay, It's red with little blue Iris flowers on them. Iris' mean hope and I- I thought that when you have to go to those funerals next week that you'd want a little hope." The funerals were something that no one in the house despised but also wasn't looking forward to. It would be harder on Harry and she had thought that he would need something if she wasn't there. It was a stupid idea.
"I love it," He looked up into her eyes, "I love you."
They stood in silence as Ginny latched the bracelet onto his arm. As they looked into each others eyes, Harry smiled wide.
"I love you t- HEY!" Harry had picked her up and spun her around, both of them fell on the bed. There they lay, tangled in each other arms, looking in each others eyes. They had burst out laughing.
"Nono I'm tired, you can't look at me like that or I'll piss myself." Ginny said, barley breathing between laughs.
"Like what?" Harry said teasingly, "I have only love in my eyes, darling."
"Oh cut the crap." Ginny said laughing harder, a bang came on the door before it swung open to reveal an angry Hermione holding a book. The bookmark seemed to be at the very end.
"Shut. The Fuck. Up." And she left. More whispered giggles came from the teens after she was gone.
Author- I AM DEAD. ugh school makes me want to throw up. But when i get free chances to write this I will spend all day writing. So that's why this update is so soon.

I personally just finished acotar and have finished throne of glass awhile ago (highly recommend both) so my next fanfic may be on one of those. I'm a sucker for the epilogue fanfics and can never find any good ones. Maybe even a cross-over. AH i'm excited.
