I know its been a while for this story, a combination of a number of things gave this a delay but mostly I really struggled with this chapter to be honest still not happy with it but I really want to move past it. So enjoy if you can.

Dot's POV

Where in the world did those two run off too? I have a five minute appointment and they can't wait that long? ugh boys.

But where could they have gotten to? they could be anywhere on the lot, acme acres or Toon town and that's just the places we frequent and none of them small.

As I considered were to start I had an idea as I said "well I did tell scratchy I was going for ice cream, and you have to be honest for therapy to work" I say before running to the one of the numerous shops in the lot a sweet shop called Totality of Candy. It was a great hit with tourists as he sold Toon candy well the ones safe for humans but he had the stronger stuff in the back.

The first time we tried some true Toon candy we three went on a sugar rush that lasted three days, we ran and pranked at lightning speed and had a lot of fun doing so sure their was a little bit of damage well Plotz call it catastrophic but hey were not cats.

I remember dancing for 12 hours straight to elevator music or was that before the candy? But boy I do definitely remember the comedown we basically passed out and were exhausted for a week and ever since then we've been kept away from the strongest stuff.

As I entered I saw the Toon that ran the joint, Flaxseed, like all Toons on the lot he'd gotten bit parts in various cartoons but his most prominent was on our show playing incidentally a candy store owner. The store was empty but had walls and walls filled with different candy it looked like the store out of Willie Wonka and the chocolate factory. To me it looked very old, Flax and Bugs call it classic but that to me meant that they just liked to reminisce about the good old days.

"Hey Falxy" I say as I go up to the counter.

"Ah young Miss Warner, how can I help you?" He replied in his very professional fashion, like most Toons and nearly all villain Toons he was quite different off camera. Although he could come off as snooty and did so on the show he was actually a nice guy, hence why we didn't mess with him... much.

"How about some Gumballs, Chocolate buttons and some Fizz bopers?" I say with a cute smile.

"Gumballs and Buttons I can certainly help you with however as you are aware you and the two Master Warners are not allowed anything from the backroom, and no amount of smiles and tricks will change that"

Well he saw right through that but hey Yakko usually comes up with the plans, Wakko and I are the ones that make them work... wait I feel and Idea coming on, that or I need to see a doctor "oh it's not for me or Yakko and Wakko its for Zack"

"Zack?"

"Yeah our new brother kinda, I think, little complicated don't understand it much myself kinda like inception but more coherent anyhow, bugs hit him with his car and the poor guy is recovering so I thought I'd get him some real Toon candy as he's never had any before."

"hum if he is anything like you three I believe Toon candy is the last thing he needs" Flaxseed said leaning over the counter.

"oh he's not, super grumpy and quiet..." I begin as I hear the shop bell ringing behind me.

Zack's POV

After another near death experience with or rather caused by the crazy squirrel she took me back to the lot as I did my best to hide from any other Toons in acme Acres now knowing that any action I did near them would inevitably get back to Slappy or worse Yakko.

"Alright here you are safe and sound" Slappy said as we went through the wall back into the lot.

"Yeah no thanks to you" the sooner I was away from this Toon and her lessons the safer I'd be.

"You ever think about switching up your diet?" Slappy asked as she started to follow me into the lot.

"What?" I asked as I tried to get away from the crazy squirrel but with this leg I wasn't going to be outrunning her, even fully functioning these toons were much more resourceful then I had realised.

"You might want to cut out those lemons" She said sarcastically, I didn't get it but everyone I've met here seemed to have one screw loose... actually I've yet to meet one with one fully tightened.

As she said this I tried moving a little faster but if anything it was a mild annoyance to her than any real effort to escape, "What do you want, there not some nuts you should be burying or something?"

"Why you got some you want me to shove into the ground?" she threatened back to me.

"I couldn't care what you do as long as its far away from me" I desperately scanning the lot for any way to make my escape but all that was around us were some offices and some stores? on a movie lot?

"Believe me kid I got better things to do than bounce half way decent material on the brink wall you call a personality, I'll get you to the tower and I'll be out of your fur"

"Well you've done enough, I don't need anymore of your help" It seems to be the less word you use with these guys the smaller migraine they give back. Still no sign of escape, all the ally ways and stores were too open.

"Yeah your a strong independent toon who don't need some squirrel, but blabbermouth will not let this lie if I just left you here" she said as she walked toward the tower, which can be seen from almost anywhere on the lot so getting lost would be incredibly difficult.

I looked at her and said with as much sarcasm as I could muster "So you take orders from a child? makes sense since he acts older than you. let me guess your actually 10 or 11, common tell me I'm close"

Instead of fury or even annoyance she let out a small chuckle and said "Nice try kid"

"Did anyone have a normal reaction in this place?" I thought before resting my eyes on a I think is a candy store nestled in-between two larger buildings it was bright and colourful and the giant sign saying "Totality of Candy" made me think this a candy store or a dentist with a mean sense of humour, which in my limited experience was the norm. A plan was quickly forming in my mind was it good no but doing something is better than nothing, at least I try to convince myself.

"Anyway, I wasn't even gonna go back to the tower Yakko told me to explore a little just on the lot and grab some candy from that store there" I said while moving past her in the direction of the store.

She did stop and for a moment I believed that I had fooled her but that belief was quickly shattered when I heard her give a hearty "HAHAHA" as she finished her laugh she quickly closed the distance between us.

"I don't need you to pick out candy you know"

"Oh I ain't missing this"

As we got to the front of the store I realised what she meant, I had no clue about candy. Sure I knew what it was but this was probably some toon candy and she just wanted to watch me make an ass of myself. I stopped in front of the door and decided to not play her game, I didn't need to go in or order anything so what would be the point in continuing this charade we both knew was happening.

But as I started to turn I saw her smug grin as if taunting me and decided I couldn't let her win not after everything today, common its candy I can get candy without looking like an idiot after all what's in here that I couldn't possibly expect.

No POV

As Zack entered the store both he and Slappy could hear a familiar voice t the counter in the middle of some kind of rant saying "super serious a big sourpuss really so it would really help if I could get some toon candy"

Flaxseed merely turned to look at the two new customers in his store and as Dot's head followed her hear sank as she saw Zack and Slappy standing there. As she was about to speak Zack tuned around and left the store quiet calmly.

"Oh no" Dot said slapping herself.

As she ran to the door Slappy stepped in front of her to block her path. "Move"

Slappy merely raised an eyebrow at that and said "Ain't there a magic word you kids are meant to use"

"Now?"

Slappy gave Dot a scowl in return

"You gonna eye me up or you going to move I gotta go play clean up thanks to you"

"I don't remember me being the one using the kid to get some candy"

Those words stung Dot, while she had intended to give some of the candy to Zack what Slappy said was not a lie. She couldn't answer Slappy and instead just stood there unable to think of anything to come back with.

"Give him time the kid ain't dumb, he knows what he's like and probably what you were trying to do if he ain't done the same kinda think a hundred times over I'll eat my hat"

"Don't act like you know him"

Dot gave a scowl to Slappy that on any other toon would have made them think twice but luckily or unlucky depending on your perspective she was unfazed.

"Oh and you do?"

As the two looked back and forth to another a voice chimed in "Ladies if your not going to buy anything may you please take this little pow wow outside?"

As Flaxseeds voice broke the tension, which a glass like barrier around the two toons did actually break, Slappy stepped to the side and let Dot go through. As she exited the store she searched for signs of Zack and saw him go down and ally on the ther end of the lot. She began to chase after him with Slappys words still in her mind which she quickly dismissed as she chased after the toon boy. As she got to the alley she saw Zack nearing the other end about to make his way further into the lot. As she was about to shout after him she stopped and thought "Maybe I should let him be alone for a while?" but continued to chase after the boy doing her best to stay hidden. After all when is a Warner really alone?
