Chapter 11 – The Fourteenth

We kept walking until we came to a giant egg that looked like it was downloading I assumed I'd be helping dad with that but he handed me to Allen which surprised and confused me.

Cross: "Alright Allen stop the download… take Kira with you it'll help her out better to be with you."

Allen: "What are you talking about I don't know how to stop the ark."

Kira: "How do you know I'll be better in there?"

Cross: "Don't question me just do it. Tim open the door."

I looked down as Tim opened a gate before pulling Allen and me inside it, I groaned sitting up only to realize that I was laying on top of Allen on a pure white couch in a pure white room. Allen picked me up and sat me down on the couch while he looked around as did I only to see Rosa and Tim sitting on the piano which had me confused. I carefully stood up to go to them when I bumped into Allen looking at him confused only to look to where he was only to freeze, there were two figure's standing in the mirror both pure white with nothing for eyes. I jumped when I heard dad call out to us telling Allen to play the piano which had me looking at it ignoring what Allen's shadow said as I walked over to the piano only to see Rosa pull out the score father had taught me. Allen had taught me the symbols on the score that came out of Tim which had me confused since the words matched the music perfectly.

Kira: "Dad what the hell is going on?!"

Cross: "I'll explain later brat… right now you have a job to do."

I looked upset as Allen came over before he began to play the piano while I took a deep breath and began to sing the song father had taught me which matched perfectly with the piano.

Kira: "And so, the boy fell into a deep sleep

The struggling flames lay in the ashes

When the song ended I noticed that Allen was lost in the music while calling back the ark which made me smile as I prayed for the ark and our friends to return then he began playing again so I took a breath and sang it again. When I opened my eyes again I heard father telling Allen to open the door so they could come in which he did while I glared at him mad before my vision swayed making me sway shacking my head. Dad walked over to us and picked me up my head hit his shoulder as I closed my eyes trying to stop the room from swaying anymore it was probably because of all the blood I've lost.

Kira: "You've got a lot of explaining to do."

Cross: "Relax I know brat."

Then Allen laid it into him about the score that Mana had taught him but before we could get into any further about it we heard Lavi screaming out to Allen about coming to get food which had me laughing. I sighed as Allen and Kanda got into it again but I didn't dare shake my head knowing these two just before Allen made a door to let them into the room while Lenalee cried because they were all safe and sound. They laid a sleeping Krory on the couch before going out to test the other rooms making me sigh having a feeling that there wouldn't be any other rooms around now unless we ourselves made them. Which came true shortly after the boys came back into the room I guess Allen forgot father was a womanizer since they all came running into the room. Then I guess Allen opened a door to the bottom of Edo to get the others there before we went to the Asian Branch before heading home making sure father went with us. Mostly because he was worried about me since I had passed out shortly after we got to the Asian Branch so I'm not sure what happened after. When I woke up again I realized that I was back at headquarters, I saw head nurse looking over me which made her smile at me just before dad walked in with what looked like a guard service but I smiled up at him.

Cross: "How are you feeling squirt."

Kira: "Tired and soar, my shoulder still hurts."

Head Nurse: "I'll get you some pain medicine."

Cross: "Thank you."

I smiled up at him knowing he cared for me since I was his kin and probably his only child so I got doted on but I noticed he slipped something into my hand making sure no one could see and whispered.

Cross: "Read it once you're out."

Kira: "Ok, dad are you being guarded now?"

Cross: "Yes there trying to make sure I don't run off again."

I couldn't help it, I started laughing at that while looking at him which made him smile since I knew he could get away from them if he really wanted to he was just staying to look after me.

Cross: "What I want to know is how you're a general now?"

Kira: "I was at 98 percent when I got here, facing off against three level three akuma at the Asian Branch made me hit critical."

Cross: "So I should ask the Earl why you became a general."

I laughed at that knowing how he is about all this but I did sigh wondering when I'd be able to leave the infirmary since Komui was driving me nuts but I could feel my innocence healing all my other wounds quickly.

Kira: "Ok… that's new…"

Cross: "What is?"

Kira: "My innocence is healing all my wounds… although its slowly healing my bite wound… I guess Joyd put dark matter into the bite."

Cross: "He might have little one I'm not sure you'd have to ask the guy yourself."

Kira: "Hell no! I'm not going anywhere near him again it this is what he does!"

I said pointing to the wound which had dad smiling at me but then the head nurse returned with the pain meds and had me take them which dulled the pain a little making me happy.

Kira: "How much longer do I need to stay here head nurse?"

Head Nurse: "Hmm let me see your wound first and then we'll see."

I nodded as she pulled the blinds over us making my dad wait outside them as she pulled off my shirt before undoing the bandages looking at the wound before sighing which had me concerned.

Head Nurse: "Its alright miss Cross, its healed but any serious jostling might make it bleed again so take it easy for a bit."

Kira: "Fine by me, just tell Komui that."

Head Nurse: "I will dearie."

She said putting on new bandages before pulling my shirt back on making me sigh as she pulled back the blinds letting dad come back over to me still worried about the wound.

Head Nurse: "She's alright, she'll need to take it easy for a bit but she'll be alright."

Cross: "Good, come on you need to get your legs back to working."

I laughed but nodded knowing I'd been asleep a while from what was implied from both dad and my body since I almost hit the floor when I tried to stand up which had dad wrapping his arms around me to keep me up.

Kira: "I want a shower but I'd better wait on that."

Cross: "No I can as Cloud if she wouldn't mind helping you out."

Kira: "Thanks dad."
