"Sam" Emily, said reading over her shoulder, "Why would life be forfeit?"

"Emily this is one time I wish you didn't read over my shoulder!" Sam said, "As much as I want to tell you, I can't I gave my word!"

Taking the card Sam burned the letter itself, and Emily objected saying "The council..."

"Can't know anything about this!" Sam stated, "You didn't agree to the condition, but I did!"

"The Pack could!" Emily stated.

"Emily!" Sam said, "Lilly has been walking around for 10 Millenia The Quileute Pack wouldn't even slow her down."

Emily's mouth opened and then closed again as Same said, "I watched her lift a dead 600-pound Grizzly Bear off her shoulders over her head like it was as light as a feather!"

"Leave it Alone!" Sam stated firmly.

Later that night at a special session of the Tribal Council, presided over by Billy Black.

"Sam" Billy asked, "Do you know of a threat to the tribe!"

Sam gave Emily a look that said, (What Have You Done!)

In that moment Emily shrank away from his gaze.

"I can't answer that question Billy, as Alpha I don't answer to you!" Sam said, trying to remain calm only to have Billy ask "Can't or Won't!"

Sam's gaze cut through his accusation as Sam stated, "You know better then to ask me that!"

10 minutes later Augustina was brought before the council, "Before I give testimony, I have one question for Sam!"

"Go ahead!" Billy stated with a slight nod.

"Sam!" Augustina asked solemnly, "Did you use blood to bind the agreement!"

"Yes!" Sam replied, only to have Augustina state, "I was afraid of that!"

"Why does the use of blood matter!" another one of the Tribal elders asked.

Looking at all the Tribal elders she said, "Because to a vampire blood is life you know this!" Augustina said turning back to Same asking, "Did Lilly use hers, and yours?"

Sam just nodded confirming her supposition as Augustina told the group, "I was afraid of that!"

"My advice!" Closing her eyes and shaking her head Augustina said, "Drop it… for the good of tribe and the pack drop it"

Augustina telepathically projects her memory of Lilly wiping out Mesopotamia in one night.

"She did that because the king broke his word!" Augustina told them, "If the pact is broken for any reason intentional or not Lilly will kill the entire tribe as compensation!"

Looking at Emily, Augustina and drove the point home telling her, "Everyone, Man, women, and child, gone in a single night…"

"How do you know that is real!" Emily asked looking at her in horror.

Slipping into Alpha Voice Augustina said, "I WAS THEIR LITTLE WOLF GIRL... I HELPED BURN THE BODIES OF THE DEAD!"

Without realizing what she is doing Augustina, forced every wolf in a 5-mile radius to its knees.

The intensity of Augustina's gaze made Emily feel a fear like no other Sam and every wolf in the chamber slowly got to their feet.

Lowering her voice "Augustina stated, I remember their screams, I remember… Everything!"

Augustina made her way to the exit but not before saying, "Emily Young, stop meddling in affairs you know nothing about!"

"Meaning?" Emily spat annoyed that she was being denied.

With an undertone of finality to it Augustina states, "When you have only one life... you value it, you're not a wolf, you're not a vampire… you can die."

"That sounds like a threat!" Emily states.

Turning Augustina leveled her gaze on Emily saying, "The day I threaten you, YOU'LL KNOW IT..."

Emily looked at her and blinked as Augustina said, "Spend as much time as you can with Sam."

Looking at Sam, Augustina said, "Not here Sam, I will come to your home!"

30 minutes later at Sam's home

"Emily" Augustina, Said, "Please have a seat."

"Grandmother told you about that… did she!" Augustina, states looking at Sam

"Grandmother!" Emily asks, more out of curiosity than anything else.

"Not important at the moment!" Augustina countered telling Emily, "You 2 have some choices to make!"

Eyeing them both Augustina said, "Since you were the first to change your time is the shortest Sam!"

The look on Emily's face was one of fear, as Augustina stated, "You have six months Sam!"

To alleviate Emily's fear Augustina stated, "He will become a wolf permanently!"

"Emily, if you want, I can change you!" Looking at Sam, Augustina said, "I know your fear!"

Turning to Emily, Augustina said, "Knowing my secret comes at a price, Sam was told my secret in case one of the pack tries to imprint on me!"

"But you're a wolf!" Emily said.

"I'm not just a wolf Emily, I'm something that's shunned by both Vampires and Wolf alike I am considered an abomination!"

Sipping some scotch Augustina said, "Everyone knows the great war between Wolves and Vampire came to an end overnight… but only a handful know why!"

Looking at Emily, Augustina, said, "A child was born that was both Vampire and Wolf!"

Sam spoke up saying, "You don't fight let alone kill your own pack"

"Their are exceptions!" Augustina replied firmly.

"The only exceptions are sickness and fatal injury, even then it's more a mercy!" Sam said sadly

Emily looked at Augustina wide-eyed as she realizes what she was just told.

"I ask that you don't speak of this!" Augustina said, "I like it here, i have spent hundreds even thousands of years as a nomad!"

"GAMÓ" Augustina said in a gruff voice, "One of your wolves was bitten by a nomad!"

Augustina was out the door running at near full sprint and she was moving faster than any wolf could run, and Emily should know!

When Augustina catches up to Jacob she assays Leah Clearwater, "Jacob, JAKE… I can save your mate, not your child!"

"No Jake you can't come with me!" Augustina said stopping him mid step

"Jake, I'm not a wolf, well not entirely!" Augustina said, "I can explain it, or I can save her!"

"Sam!" Augustina said "Tell him!"

Augustina picked her up and was off at a full sprint again!

"Jake! even if you shift you won't catch her!" Sam told him.

"How do you know!" Jake said

"Because I know what she is!" Sam replied

The next day Jake tracks Augustina to her personal hunting grounds.

"Jake you shouldn't have come here!" Augustina told him.

"Why… so you can what!" Jake bellowed

In a calm voice Augustina said, "This would easier if she were not mated, so I put enough distance between you!"

"To What!"

"Jake!" Augustina said, "Why do imprinted pairs never turn on each other!"

"Because the emotional pain would be unbearable!" Jake said "you're a wolf you should know that.

"Jacob!" Augustina deadpanned, "I'm not a wolf."

Augustina's eyes dilated and then contracted as she added Alpha voice to her efforts saying, " What I'm about to tell you, you will tell no one, not your tribe not your pack not the vampires, NO ONE, I'm a Primordial Hybrid!"

"My mother was a vampire my father was a wolf, and I am the only chance your mate has!"

"If you try to repeat this to anyone, first you will gag, then you will feel a pain so excruciating it will make shifting seem like a tickle!"

To say Jake was angry was an understatement as Augustina, "Compulsion Mixed with Alpha Voice!"

"You really are way too trusting Jake, now hand me that cooler!"

"You don't want to be here for this Jake,

"I'm not afraid!" Jake said, as Augustina said, "Stop lying Jake!"

"Jake your no match for me, when she come round, she WILL come after you!"

"Do I need to use it again Jake?" Augustina stated flatly, "I have to be here Jake you don't... Go Home"

An hour later I could smell him lurking, but I didn't react I wanted to draw him in close so he couldn't run! Just as he was about to grab me and pull me in, I reacted spinning on me knees to the right and moved behind him.

Grabbing him by the throat I said, "Come to finish the job did you?"

"You're the one that killed her!" He coughed out.

"If you mean Victoria, then no I'm not, but I am from her bloodline!... Your no match for the one that did!" Augustina spat, "Not that you will live long enough to meet her!"

krkrkrkrkrkrkr Augustina bit down on the vampire's shoulder/neck and started to feed.

Ththththip…spspspsp…thththth, tptptp, "Your barley a year old!" Augustina said drinking him dry. She ripped his head clean off.

Returning to Leah, Augustina bit open her forearm and said, "drink!"

Then Augustina snapped her neck, she could hear Leah's neck healing itself, an interterminal amount on time later Augustina, hands Leah a blood bag saying, "You're going to need that, there's more on the cooler!"

Leah becomes aware of her heightened emotions in particular her anger, saying, "Until you can control that best stay out here."

The look on Leah face said (why), Augustina said, "While you kept most of your wolf traits, you're no longer a wolf."

Leah looked at Augustina, for further explanation, as she said, "Had you been a vampire bitten by a wolf the process would be easy enough, my bite would heal you!"

Sighing Augustina said sadly, "Because you were a wolf, I had to turn you into what I am, for that I am sorry..."

"What… are you?" Leah asks.

"I am a hybrid Leah, part wolf and part vampire, I am stronger than both!" Augustina replied, "You are now my sire!"

"Y-Your eyes have a luminous blue color to them!" Leah said somewhat stunned.

"The one that bit you came back, thought I was a free meal" Shrugging her shoulders Augustina said, "I made a meal of him!"

It took Leah a moment to realize what she was just told asking, "Wait… you can drink vampire blood."

"Yes, and Werewolf to if I want to!" Augustina told her, "Now so can you!"

"It looks like I am starting a pack!" Augustina said, "Coming?"

"Let's find an open field" Augustina said, only to have Leah look at her funny.

"Hybrids are faster than Vampires" She told Leah.

Scooping up Leah Augustina said, "Training will have to wait, your mate is trying to do the one thing I warned him not to!"
