Chapter 22 Matt
Prom, with Max
Loona was trying to pick up Matt's scent, but when they followed it, it just left off with Matt's car.
"I can't pick him up after this." Loona said.
"Dammit, you think he left the area?" Angel asked.
"No, if he did he would've taken his car. But look at this stuff." Max rummages through Matt's stuff. "Look at this..." Max pulled out a vile with a label on it, called miracle water. "The label says "cures any diseases" such as cancer, sickness, aids, syphilis, death, etc."
"!!!!!!!!!" This instantly caught Loona's attention. "Hey can I see that?" Loona asked, and Max gave the water to Loona. "Thank you." Loona then removed the cap and drank the tiny bottle. "HEY WAIT!!!! WHAT IF THAT CAN KILL DEMONS!!!???" Max panicked.
But then all of a sudden Loona put her hand down her nether regions. "Hey, that stuff actually works... huh, I think my hymen just grew back too."
"Don't worry, it'll be gone after happy hour." Angel said.
"Wait, you wanted to hook up with me, when you had syphilis!?!?!?" Max said.
"Is now really the time to ask that?" Vaggie asked.
"Good point, okay so... he got something out of his trunk... but what was it? Lonna try picking up his scent again." Max ordered.
"Got it. *sniff* ... wait *sniff* I got something *sniff* it's familiar..."
"Is it Matt?" Max asked.
"*sniff* no... it's new *sniff* yet familiar... and it came... from this trunk."
"Why would he go to his car trunk then head back into the school? Did he get something from the trunk? If so what exactly did he get?" Max thought. Then all of a sudden, the school intercom came on.
"... Yo, Max, what's up?" It was Matt's voice. "So... you literally went to hell and back, huh? How'd that go for you?" Matt said in a cocky tone. It's really pissing me off to be honest. "Right now your probably looking for me, am I right? Well if you want me, meet me at the roof of the school... I'll be waiting. You died before and I can make that happen again." Matt said, as the turned off the intercom.
"Why does he sound so confident? Somethings wrong here." Vaggie said.
"Yeah, the fact that we're not heading up to the roof to kick his ass." Angel said, as he started heading to the roof, with everyone else following.
"Could you wait and think for a moment?" Vaggie said as she tried to catch up.
I started to follow but before I did I looked to to Matt's trunk to pull out another miracle water vile and flipped the label over. WARNING: MIRACLE WATER CURES BOTH ANGELS AND DEMONS, KEEP OUT OF REACH OF DEMONS. "WHAT THE- THE FUCK KIND OF MIRACLE BENEFITS BOTH ANGELS AND DEMONS!?!?!?" I exclaimed as I put the vile in my pocket.
Later, roof of the school
We made it to the roof of the school, and I saw HIM sitting on the floor, wearing some sort of armor.
"Nice armor, you think that'll hurt me?" I asked.
"No, but it will stop you from killing me." Matt said.
"*sniff* ... hey, what exactly are you wearing. It's smells familiar but I've never seen it before?"
"Oh that's right, you demons are used to this aren't you? Well why tell you when I can show you." Matt said as he put a helmet on. Then the helmet started turning on like a neon light, and it showed a smiling face.
"What? That supposed to scare me? I asked taunting Matt, as he picked up a chainsaw. But as I looked around I saw Vaggie and the rest look terrified, even Loona looked scared.
"Huh, hey what's wrong?" I asked.
"M-Max... remember how I said t-that once every year we have this thing called "the cleansing"?" Angel asked.
"Yeah, when once a year angels come down to hell and exterminate any demon they see to reduce hells over population, but why does that matter now?" I asked.
"M-Max... that's the same face those angels have when they're sent down to hell." Vaggie said.
"!!!!!!!!!!" I was dumbfounded. "A-and the chainsaw?" I asked.
"Most likely a heavenly weapon, the kind of weapon that can kill a demon." Cherri said.
"Aw shit..." I said... "I can't get them involved in this, the people I came to respect, I can't put them in danger..."
"Everyone stand back... I need to do this." I said.
"Max no one has defeated an exorcist before, if you fight him you will die!" Vaggie said.
"Then so be it... I can't rest until this assholes dead." I said as I walked to Matt.
"MAX WAIT!!!!" Vaggie said. She then looked at Loona. "Loona I need to see Charlie, send me back." Vaggie demand.
"Got it." Loona said, Vaggie then went through the portal followed by Loona, but before Loona entered she took one last look back at Max. "Just try to hold on as much as you can Max." She said.
Max walked up to Matt. The two of them were staring down at each other.
I just remembered... the roof is where I always got beaten up.
Flashback, first year
The first time I meet Matt was in my first year of high school I was walking through the cafeteria, and saw Matt in front of a soda machine. I went up to him "Oh hey? You need some change, here, you can have whatever I have left."
What did I do wrong?
"... pfft... you got some nerve." He said.
"Huh?"
If I didn't walk up to him that day... would my life have been different?
I got beat up... Matt wasn't doing the beating... he along with Jamie and Gustavo just stood by and watched as Chet and Jesus beat me up, Brittney just filing her nails her nails as if nothing is happening,
"W-why... why are you doing this to me?" I asked
"You wanna know why...? Too bad." He said...

...
Present day
Matt charged at me with the chainsaw. I quickly dodged it, missing me by a hair.
"SHIT!" I cursed.
"C'mon Max, where'd all that confidence go?" Matt asked.
"I can't get close to him with that damn chainsaw, okay... so you forced me to play dirty." I pulled out my guns and started shooting at Matt. But... it did nothing. The bullets just bounced off his armor.
"What the..?"
"Is that all you got?"
"Grrr!!!!" This is starting to get frustrating.
"Oh got some fire in your eyes... tell you what, we'll just let our fist do the talking." Matt said as he put his chainsaw on the floor. "Although I must admit, I'm not comfortable hitting a girl." Matt said.
"GRRR!!!!" Okay he's just asking for it. I looked over to see that Loona and Vaggie left, while everyone else looking worried.
After that me and Matt charged at each other. I threw a punch at Matt, only for my punch to just push him back.
"... man, I was right, I am fighting a girl, because you hit like one."
"SHUT UP!!!" I said as I went to land another hit, only for Matt to dodge it, and elbowed my back. Matt then, grabbed me by my hair and threw me across the floor. I slowly got up to my feet. Only to get punched in the face.
"C'mon Max, put up more of a fight." Matt said as he continued punching me. As he did, memories started coming in. Memories of all the things he did to me... When he threw one of my shoes in the school toilet, the time where he took my food tray and pushed it to my face...
... I was left on the floor barely even conscious... I looked over and saw that Matt was going for the chainsaw... is this it... is this how it ends... I thought about everyone... then my thought went to Charlie... it's unbelievable that someone like her is down in hell... she's so sweet and caring... and is willing to see the good in people... I just wish... I would've gotten to see her smile... one last time...
"Wanna know why, I always tormented you? The truth is... I just saw you as too nice... there wasn't any special reason why... basically, I just didn't like you."
I just stared at Matt... there was no reason?! Dammit... he really is the worst.
"Now then... any last words?"
"S-s-s-seeeee... y-y-ooouuuu... innnn... hell..." I said... and my last gesture to him... was fuck you!!!!!
"Hell? Please... you won't see me down there." Matt said, reading up the chainsaw.
"Hey asshole."
Matt looked over and saw Cherri bomb.
"Catch." Cherri said as she tossed something, but Matt wasn't prepared for the sudden object and juggled it. After he got it, he realized it was a bomb!!!
"!!!!!!!!!!!"
BOOOOOOM*
The smoke settled and the blast stripped Matt of his armor, while his mask exposed part of his face.
"You... bitch." Matt said.
"Go fuck yourself asshole ." Cherri said as she flicked Matt off.
Matt looked over and saw Max getting up again.
"Ugh... dammit." Matt grabbed his chainsaw and started charging at Max.
But then all of a sudden, a portal opened up, and came through it was Vaggie, Loona... And Charlie, she was carrying what appeared to be a katana.
"C-Charlie?" Max asked
"Max heads up!!!" Charlie said, as she tossed the katana to Max.
Max unsheathes it and looks at it.
"Woah."
"I got it from my family's mansion, I had a knights sword but I think that suits you better, it can kill an exorcist." Charlie said.
"Thanks... now then." Max looks at Matt.
"You think just because you have a sword, you can kill me!!!!?!?" Matt charged at Max with the chainsaw, but blocked it with the katana. Max pushed Matt back, and went for another strike. Max dodge Matt's attack and managed to cut off his right arm.
"AGH!!!!!!" Matt screamed I'm pain, but he wasn't going down without a fight. Matt continued swinging his chainsaw with his left remaining arm, only for Max to continue dodging. Max managed to get behind Matt and cut off the bottom of his left leg. "AGH!!!!!!!" Matt screamed as he fell to his knees.
Max grabbed Matt by the hair staring straight into his eyes as he raises his katana up with one hand. But Matt still had a little bit of fight left.
"You walk in hell..." Matt said with much venom in his words as he thrust the chainsaw towards Max, cutting him clean through the other side of his body.
"MAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Everyone screamed.
Max... with remaining strength he has left, swung his blade through Matt's neck.
"AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!"
Max raises Matt's decapitated head up screaming in victory.
Max feel to the floor cut in half... his entrails showing and almost losing a lot of blood.
Charlie went up to Max, as the others look at him.
"Max!!!" Charlie screamed as she begans to cry.
"Charlie... p-pocket...miracle..."
"Miracle?" Vaggie asked. Then it hit her. Vaggie stuck her hand in Max's pants pocket and found a vile of miracle water.
"Everyone put him back together!" Vaggie demanded.
Everyone put Max's lower half to his upper half as if I was some sort of jigsaw puzzle. Vaggie then gave the vile of miracle water to Max, and began to drink it.
Max looked at his severed half and saw it was coming together.
"Ugh, shit... that fucking sucked." Max said. And everyone just grouped hugged Max. After a long hug everyone let go.
"... it's over now... right?" Cherri asked.
"... no... it's not, there's still one more person we gotta kill."
"Who?" Angel asked.
"... Jennifer."
A/N: you may notice towards the end it was a bit rushed, that's because it (was) 5:19 in the morning(when I wrote it) and (I was) fucking sleepy, and I was really close to finishing this chapter. if you're not satisfied let me know and I'll edit it. Not that it'll matter because once the actual Hazbin hotel show gets released on TV I'll remake this story with more characters in it. But regardless. G'night.
