A very cold breeze surrounded your body and cooled down every wounded area on your skin. Your head felt too heavy and your body felt numb.
When you tried to move, a sound of metal chains appeared from above you. You realized that your wrists were cuffed and you were kneeling down on the floor with your hands lifted above your head.
Slowly opening your eyes, you looked around carefully after barely being able to lift your head. Everything was blurry and the only thing you could recognize were bars right in front of you and a shadow somewhere far behind.
Looking down at yourself again, you spotted only a white shirt covering your figure. As you tried to move, your sore muscles kept you in place.
A painful moan escaped your lips and you bit your lip to dampen any noise you made to not get anyone's attention.
"Well, finally you're awake, kitten.", a familiar voice appeared from somewhere in front of you.
You lifted your head again and blinked a few times to get rid of the blur. The more you focused, the clearer the sight in front of you became.

The sight of him calmed you down but the fact that he was in chains did the exact opposite. Even though you found out about him being a part of the underworld society, you couldn't help but worry about him.
But you felt too weak and your body was craving to rest again.
"Don't you dare to sleep again, woman!", Kid growled weak as he saw how you slowly let your head sink down and looked short down at his seastone chains before focusing back to you again.
"Let her rest. She is too weak to talk to you. It has just been three days, Eustass.", Lucci didn't even bother to look at Kid and had his full attention on you.
"What do you even want from her? She's not interested in you, Lucci.", Killer wondered and tilted his head a bit. He was sitting right next to Kid and was chained onto the bottom of the wall as well.
Lucci ignored Killer and continued cleaning his fingers after he had to kill a few prisoners, who were making sexual comments about you. He wouldn't tolerate anyone for looking at you weird or saying anything inappropriate.
"I have seen many freaks in my life but you are just the dumbest. Following the future pirate king and challenging him because of a woman. You're just-"
"Like you? Just more intelligent and stronger?", Lucci interrupted Kid and still didn't look his way. "We both know that (Y/N) has some sort of influence on people. Everyone around her feels heard and welcome. You either want to be her friend, her lover or just someone she will remember. There is only one other person in my life, whom I've met, who has the same aura as she does. Just like with Straw Hat Luffy, everyone wants to be with (Y/N)."
Lucci couldn't take his eyes off you and continued calmly. "I am never going to run after a woman or even believe in love. But I want her to be with me for many selfish reasons but she refuses, and I understand."
"Just seeing you disgusts me, birdman. How can you even work for these scums?", Kid looked at you for a few seconds and wondered how much you actually hated him after finding out about him being part of the underworld. But at this exact moment, he only wanted for Lucci to stop looking at you like you were his'. Kid needed to distract that man or else he'd completely lose it.
"I could ask you the same. How is your business in the underworld doing?", Lucci turned to Kid and Killer and stood up before stopping right in front of their cell. With his hands now in his pockets, he stood still, waiting for an answer.
"Shouldn't you know?", Kid smirked and couldn't help but shrug. "We chose to join them for a reason. We are no slaves for them, which I cannot say for you and the nobles."
"I am following rules from those, who have more power. This way, I will always be safe and strong.", Lucci looked at him cold and immediately turned back to you when he heard you moving again.
"You are both disgusting.", you mumbled and took a deep breath to test your muscles in your chest and back area. Even breathing felt like a challenge.
Killer chuckled a bit and shook his head, "Using your last breath to insult us? Sounds like a Kid Pirate."
Kid raised an eyebrow and looked cautious at Killer, who already knew exactly why Kid didn't ask you to join his crew. Killer just ignored his glare and had an eye on Lucci, who didn't pay any attention to them again.
"What happened?" You barely managed to speak properly and tried to hydrate your mouth with your own spit.
"We are the ones, who should ask you that!", Kid snarled back and tried to move.
"Calm down, Kid. This won't help us now." Killer kicked him softly with his foot and nodded his head into Lucci's and your direction.
"I guess that my demon took over my body again?", you sighed weak and looked up to your chains. Seastone? Whoever captured me, doesn't know much about me. That's good.
"What demon? The hell are you talking about, woman?!", Kid leaned forward and tensed his muscles to fight the power of the seastone chains.
"That's a long story. But could you tell me where we are, why we're chained and why Lucci is staring at me?", you looked at the CP0 agent, who was standing right in front of you, and rested your head against your arm.
"That's a long story.", Kid imitated you and clenched his teeth at the sight of Lucci stepping closer to you, "Stay away from her birdman!"
"How do you feel, (Y/N)? Do you need water? Anything?", Lucci looked at you worried and stepped into the cell. He stroked a strand of hair behind your ear and lifted your chin carefully.
"Just take off the chains, please." You moved your head slowly to the side to lose his grip on your chin.
"I can't and you know that. If you cooperate-"
"We've had this conversation thousands of times and I am still not going to join you. Please, Lucci. Let me go.", you sighed weak and looked up to him again.
The ice-cold aura of him dropped for a mere second, "I am sorry, (Y/N). I can't."
He lifted his hand carefully again, stroking your cheek softly with his thumb, "You were supposed to be my kitten.." The look in his eyes felt empty and you weren't sure what to answer or how to react to that.
"I have to admit..", he began and crouched down to look directly into your eyes, "Every time I see you, I hope it would be the last time."
You frowned at that statement and looked at him confused. Before you could ask him what he meant by that, he leaned his forehead against yours and closed his eyes, "Remember when we let the witch look into our future? We were just kids but we still had to choose which future we wanted to see. I chose yours."
When you tried to move your head a bit back to be able to look at his face, he took his hand at your nape and pulled you closer. With his lips at your ear, you knew that whatever he saw was only meant for you to hear. "What did you see, Rob?"
"Nothing.. nothing that I could stop.", Lucci whispered and leaned his head onto yours for a moment.
He stood up and put his hands back into his trousers, trying his best to remain calm.
Kid and Killer didn't say a word as they eyed the whole scenario happening right in front of them.
You thought about his words very carefully, nodded slowly and looked down to your knees again. Shifting around, you sat down completely and stretched out your legs.
Lucci looked at you for a few seconds before he sighed calmly and walked to the door to leave the cabin.
"Does this mean that you're my enemy now?", you didn't need to lift your head to see how he froze on the spot.
"No." Lucci didn't move away and was about to look back but chose not to. Silence was spreading in the room and the tension grew every moment. "Kizaru was on the ship but left an hour ago."
This information was the last thing you've heard of him today. Lucci left the cabin and didn't turn back once.
You bit the inside of your lip, trying to process what had just happened.
It was definitely over between you and Lucci and you didn't even know why. But he knew.
"Interesting.", Killer tilted his head to look at Kid.
The captain of the Kid pirate's leaned his head against the wall and watched you carefully.
A lot of thoughts went through his head but there was nothing he wanted to add to it. He had this sort of discussion with many people already and it hurt him every time. The only one who understood, was sitting right beside him at the moment.
Even though Kid had no idea what Lucci had told you, he wasn't interested in finding it out right now. The only interest he had at the moment, was fleeing and getting back his ship and crew.
"We need to find a way to get out of here.", Kid lifted his head up again and looked at the seastones around his waist and wrist.
"I can't be of any use. Sorry.", you sighed exhausted and leaned your head against your arm again, not being able to look at him as you were still hurt by the fact of him being in the underworld society.
The door of the cabin opened again and when you looked at the person entering, you couldn't believe your eyes.
"I could help with that.", a woman with black hair tied up in a long ponytail, approached you and smiled happy. "Finally you're awake. I was worried your boyfriend knocked you out pretty good."
You ignored the boyfriend part and tried to focus on her, "Suki, what are you doing here?"
Her bright blue eyes gave you a soft wink when she pulled out a red-colored injection, "This will help you. I stole it from the marine's not too long ago. It will give you an adrenaline kick for like an hour. We will have to make the best of it."
"Wait, answer me. Why are you here? Are you alright?", you looked at her worried while she injected the serum into your thigh.
Not questioning anything she does, you let her do whatever she wanted to. Suki was your best friend, your family. You both grew up together when you were little, being raised in a brothel by all these unknown women, who made you feel like you two were at home.
"I sneaked into the marine's headquarters to steal supplies for a few homeless people. Before they left, they commanded their doctors to join this mission and I got dragged along because I was dressed like one of their doctors.", she laughed and shrugged before pulling out a key and walking back to Kid and Killer.
Suki opened their cell and their handcuffs. "I couldn't find another key for your handcuffs though."
"That's because they are mine.", Kid stood up immediately and attached his metallic arm to his shoulder on his way to your cell.
Moving his fingers of his flesh hand upwards, Kid opened your handcuffs and turned to Suki, "I guess you can tell us how many people are on this fucking ship?"
Suki nodded and counted every marine officer and a few CP0 agents on the ship, while you tried to regain any sort of feeling into your hands and fingers.
"Don't worry about that.", you massaged your wrists and stood up slowly.
Your legs were still a little shaky but you managed to find your balance after a few seconds.
Kid and Killer turned to you and moved to the side when Suki walked over to adjust your shirt a bit. It was barely covering your body but enough to not show your butt or any private areas.
"Just stand still and don't panic.", you announced and closed your eyes.
Feeling your energy suddenly rushing through your veins, you took a deep breath and lifted your arms.
The ship stopped immediately and everything in the ship began shaking. Kid and Killer looked around cautiously and didn't understand what was happening until they felt something wet and cold on their feet.
As they both looked down, they saw water filling the ship rapidly.
"What the fuck!", Kid looked up to you and realized that your threat was no joke. You were actually able to sink a ship within seconds. He knew that you were weaker since the incident three days ago but even this situation made him respect you even more.
"So how are we supposed to flee a sinking ship?", Killer looked at Suki, who just shrugged and smiled at him.
"We always decide spontaneously." Suki answered and stretched herself a bit after taking off the marines jacket.
"Always? How often did you two do this?", Killer crossed his arms at his chest and shivered at the feeling of the water already reaching his hips.
Kid didn't like the feeling and when the ocean water suddenly touched his naked skin on his stomach, he felt how his energy was fading. He tried his best not to sink down to his knees and when Killer held him up by grabbing his coat of fur, Kid sighed relieved.
"Okay, it's time.", Suki smiled excited and began swimming when the water lifted her up already.
Even you weren't able to stand any longer and opened your eyes again. "The ocean will do the rest. We are on the middle floor of the ship. We should head out fast before they board Kid's ship."
"I will kill everyone, who dares to do that.", Kid growled and leaned onto Killer, who spotted his scythes and swam to them to take them back.
"I'll fasten the process.", Killer positioned himself, with Kid on his back, and send a flying cut towards a wall before he took a deep breath and dived down.
Suki and you waited for the rest of the room to fill up before you two swam out of the hole, which Killer just cut open. You looked short back to Kid, who held his breath as good as he could and watched you.
Thinking it through, you pulled Suki back and focused your power onto Kid and Killer. Your hand moved to them automatically and with a swift gesture upwards, they both got pushed up with a heavy stream.
In the very next second, Kid and Killer found themselves flying above the ocean, right between their ship and the marines. They both took a deep breath in the fresh air and before they fell back down into the water, Kid used his ability to summon a pole from his ship.
Both of them grabbed it and got pulled back before they landed on deck.
Suki and you were swimming to the backside of the ship and when you both dived back up, you could already see all the marine's being thrown off Kid's ship.
"Why are we here, (Y/N)?" Suki was breathing hard as she was finally able to let go of the breath she held in.
"I will push the ship forward so we have a good distance from the CP0 agents. In case I use all my energy, I'd need you." You gave her a nervous smile and heard footsteps stopping right above you. Heat looked down and still had a pair of handcuffs on one of his wrists.
"Heat!", Suki smiled excited and waved at him. You raised an eyebrow at that reaction and shook your head.
"Always the emotionally dead ones.", you couldn't help but laugh and took a deep breath right afterwards to switch your focus onto the ship.
"But he's different.", she defended herself.
"I know."
Heat let a rope fall down to the both of you and Suki grabbed it, holding it tight. She put an arm around your waist from behind to give you enough space to move your arms.
When you finally felt the ship moving, you took another deep breath in through your nose and let it out through your mouth.
It was usually never difficult for you to move a ship but Kid's ship was bigger than what you were used to. It wasn't bigger than Whitebeard's ship but there wasn't much of a difference either.
Finally feeling the flow of the water surrounding it, you focused on the element in front of you and let it pass quickly through the water.
Suki's grip around you tightened and she looked at the few CP0 agents, who didn't even intend following you. It felt weird to not have them attack you or even try anything to stop you all.
"I did not end good, huh?", Suki asked you in a soft whisper and looked to the side because the water kept splashing her face.
You didn't answer her question. It felt strange to even think about the conversation you had with Lucci.
When the ship was moving fast enough, Heat and the others helped you climb onto the ship after you lifted Suki and you with another water stream up.
On your way to the deck, everyone was quiet. You weren't sure if they were mad at you or afraid but you were prepared for anything.
"Now that we finally have our ship back and can proudly say that we didn't lose anyone in the fight..", Kid stepped up and looked at everyone. His gaze rested on you for a few seconds before he continued, ".. we still have to admit one thing."
He clenched his teeth and took a deep breath before he lifted his chin, not wanting to lose his hope. "We still have a lot of work in front of us. There are enemies, who are way stronger than us. Who are after us. More now than ever. But we are stronger. As a crew."
Killer nodded in agreement. They barely had a chance to fight enemies, who are equally strong or even stronger than them but now they finally met someone.
It bothered them that the marine's had to show them how weak they still were but this fired them up even more.
"We did not lose this fight, men! We made it out. Alive!", Kid lifted his fist up in the air and everyone was screaming, clapping and lifting their fists up too in agreement.
"Let's train and beat more asses! We are going to become the strongest pirate crew in this existence!", Kid announced and everyone agreed again.
You looked at them exhausted and felt your energy slowly fading.
"Are you okay, (Y/N)?", Suki whispered softly and looked at you worried.
With a soft nod, you leaned against the railing and watched everyone celebrating.
"I just need to rest.", you sighed and were way too weak to even think about what to do next.
There was no way you'd stay with them without Kid explaining why he was working with the underworld. Too many things suddenly came up and you weren't sure what to feel.
Your heart hurt again but it wasn't the same pain you've felt before losing control. This time it felt like a burning flame in your chest.
A very small flame but very painful.
Kid looked at you when the crew began cleaning up. Killer talked to him and Heat about something but it didn't even seem as if he was paying attention to what they were talking about.
You pressed your lips together and looked at him carefully. When he answered Killer something, you finally realized how long you were staring at each other.
It felt like an eternity.
