I never thought I say this, but I made a friend at Witch Academy. Yep, I became friends with Nicole Candler. Turns out, she also likes to read and we compare the amount of books we read. She's also half-witch and I decided to show her the half star on my right palm.
"Why are you telling me this?" She asked me in surprise when I pulled off the glove. "Because I feel like I can trust you. And I want to be your friend." I said to her, pulling the glove back on. "Thank you for trusting me with your secret." She said with a smile, an actual smile. "You're welcome." I said, a bit guilty that I haven't told her the whole truth.
Yes, this is the first time I made a friend on my own. When I became friends with Sabrina, it was because my dad, Zelda and Hilda set up playdates for the two of us due to my shyness. When I became friends with Harvey, it was due to Sabrina introducing me to him. And when it came to Chloe, she mostly was with Sabrina, so it became natural for her to hang out with us.
So yeah, I broke out of my comfort zone a bit and made a new friend. Now how long until Nicole finds out about who I actually am and hates me for keeping that a secret from her?
Anyways, soon weeks passed by, which turned into a couple of months with us learning stuff in class. In one class, Sabrina can't levitate and I could barely levitate without losing my focus. In another class, Cassandra managed to make a perfect blue flower, yet Sabrina's flower wilted up and died. In cauldron class, at least no one have the same incident as before. And while at the end of each week, I redo the transformation spell since it wears off on Saturdays.
Soon, we were flying on broomsticks earlier today, which is a huge relief. At least, it seems like that at first. Turns out it's mass chaos. It seems like the broomsticks have a mind of their own. Oh god, I just use Harry Potter logic. May god strike me from where I stand. Don't get me wrong, it's not the fact I hate Harry Potter, I kind of like reading the books. It just that I don't use their logic at all.
Yet despite this, it seems like in class, I got good grades than Cassandra, who I can tell is starting to dislike me. I'm pretty sure if she finds out who I am, she would use that against me. Trust me, I'm not worry about how it's used against me, but how it's used against Nicole. Soon, I was back in my room and looking at the picture of my parents. I wonder how they are. I wonder how my mom and my unborn siblings. Oh well, time to redo the spell.
I heard a knock at the door. I looked at the clock and realized that there were only five minutes until the spell ends. "Come in." I said. Maybe if I talk to this person quickly, I can hurry up and redo the spell before my cover blown. The person who opened the door is Sabrina. "Hey Moon. Do you have a minute?" Sabrina asked as she walked in, closing the door behind her. I glanced at the clock without Sabrina knowing, which told me there was four minutes left. "Sure." I said, trying not to sweat nervously.
"Well, I was wondering if you wanted to come to Cassandra's sleepover with me, Bree and Brittany?" Sabrina asked me. "Wait, she invited me with you three? I thought she didn't like me." I said, trying not to look at the clock. "Of course she wants you there! You know, you kind of remind me of my friend Aaron." Sabrina said, not noticing the look of guilt on my face. Those words punched my guts for the wrong reasons.
"Can you tell her I said thanks, but no thanks." I said. "What? How come? This can be your chance to be friends with her." Sabrina said, shocked about my words. "Because, well, uh..." Was all I managed all while noticing the clock. The spell was over and I was too late to redo it. I was covered in smoke before it cleared up, showing Sabrina coughing. I looked down and noticed I was back to normal, even my clothes were normal again. I then looked up to see Sabrina's shocked face.
"Heh heh. Surprise." I said meekly while giving a weak chuckle. Sabrina ran forward and hug me. "Aaron, what are you doing here?" Sabrina asked me with a smile. "Well, like I said, if you need help, I'll come and help. Literally." I said to her. "I'm so glad to see you." She said as she hugged a bit tighter. "Um, Sabrina. Remember what we talk about with tight hugs?" I wheezed out before she let go of me.
"Wait, whoa, hold. Correction, not glad. Not glad to see you. You're not supposed to be here. What if Miss Hag or the other students or teachers find out?" Sabrina asked, trying to be stern. "Don't worry, I got that under control." I said casually. "But why are you here in the first place?" Sabrina asked me, worried. "Because of your letter." I said to Sabrina. "What letter." She said in confusion. "You know. The one you sent to me a couple of months ago." I said to her, pulling it out from the suitcase and hand it to her.
"Aaron, I hate to tell you otherwise, but I never wrote you this letter. In fact, I haven't wrote you anything at all." Sabrina said as she handed me back the letter. "But if you didn't, then who did? ..." I soon stop to think about it. The note mentioned Salem, and it had a sense of guilt coming off it. That means one thing.
"Salem!" I opened my spellbook and pulled out the summoning spell. "Salem, I summon thee to whence thy stand." I recited the spell(don't mock me for the language of the spell, the book is kind of old) and soon Salem appeared on my bed. "What is it this time, Sabrina?" Salem asked before realizing that I was there too, glaring at him. If looks could kill, Salem would be dead.
"Hey Aaron, how's school?" Salem asked, trying to look innocent. "Oh, gee. I don't know. How about you explain about this letter?!" I exclaimed at him, shoving it in his face. "It has words on it, that's for sure." Salem said, trying for a joke. "Salem, so help me, if you don't tell the truth, I will tell Hilda and Zelda where you are right now." I threatened him. "Fine, fine. Yeah, I wrote a letter to you with Sabrina's handwriting. But I've thought you would just sent some advice, not come over here." Salem said, surrendering. "That was mean, Salem." Sabrina said.
But I wasn't really paying attention to that. "So you mean to tell me, I literally came here for nothing?" I asked. "Well, not exactly." Salem said with a smirk. "Don't think that you're not in trouble with me, Salem." Sabrina and I said with a glare. "Ok, ok. Lose the glares, why don't you?" Salem said with a frown while crossing his front legs.
Sabrina picked him up and sat down on the bed. "I'm sorry about this, Aaron." Sabrina said. "Yeah, me too." I said as I sat down on the bed next to her and told them the whole story of how I got here and what I did since then. "Well, I'll see myself out." Sabrina said as she and Salem left, leaving me to my thoughts, alone while she went to the sleepover. At least I know she can keep this a secret.
