Chapter 9: Halloween
I had tears streaming down my face by the time I reached the room of requirement where Scorpius was sleeping. I paced in front of the wall until the door appeared. I banged the doors open and found Scorp asleep on a sofa in front of the fire. "Scorpius" I whispered shaking him. He sat bolt upright. "Rose! Whats the matter?" He asked looking panicked. "Molly and Alice. They know." I whimpered. Throwing myself into his arms, sobbing.
We stayed like that for ages, me crying hysterically in his arms and him comforting me. "How?" Scorpius asked me quietly. "They guessed." I whispered i to his shoulder. "How'd they react?" He questions. "Alice was angry and Molly was disappointed" I told him.
"Come on, lets sleep here." Scorp said quietly. He lay back down, this time on the on the edge of the sofa. I lay down next to him and pulled the blanket over us. He turned to face me and I did the same. "Good night. I love you" I said to him. "I love you" He lifted the blanket, looked at my stomach and whispered "I love you to baby" My heart melted. I blew out the candle and rolled over, in a deep sleep.
I woke up to sun streaming in my face and Scorpius breathing on my neck. "Morning" he breathed. I turned around, "Hey" I said, smiling. Then I did the thing I really didn't want to do. I vomited. Scorpius came running into the bath room after me and held my hair and rubbed my back. "You ok!" Scorpius asked when I finished. "Yeh, I feel exhausted now though" I replied yawning. "Lets go back to bed then" he suggested helping me off my knees. "No I have to find Alice and Molly" I washed my mouth out at the tap before saying goodbye and leaving the Room of Requirement.
I walked back to the Gryffindor common room. In my head I was going through what I was going to say. In the common room none of the girls where there. My watch said it was 10 0'clock, they were usually here at this time. I walked up the spiral stairs to my dorm. I opened the door to see Alice, Molly and Sophie in there.
I cleared my throat. They all looked up at me, their eyes widened in surprise when they saw it was me. "Ro" Sophie breathed getting up and giving me a hug. She lead my over the the bed where the other two were sat. "Rose, I'm so sorry. I wasn't thinking. I was just annoyed that you hadn't told us" She looked close to tears. I leaned forward and gave her a hug. "Its ok" I whispered stocking her back. I let go of Alice and turned to look at Molly. "Molls" I asked tentatively. She gave me a weak smile. "I know you can do this, so I support you" she said finally. I threw my arms around her, in tears now. Molly pulled away. "Uncle Ron is going to kill you though" she laughed. "Please don't remind me" I smiled.
We were sat in the common room an hour later, sat on a corner out of view from others. The girls were questioning me. "How far are you? Molly asked. "2 months" I replied after counting in my head. "Is it a boy or girl?" Alice asked. "I don't know, I haven't had a check up yet"
There was a knocking on the window above us. I looked up to see an owl. I opened the window and the owl flew in. It shoved its foot in my face. I unclipped the roll of parchment and read
Miss Weasley and Mr Malfoy,
I've arranged an appointment for the day after tomorrow at 11 0'clock. You will have to come to hospital wing at the beginning of lesson three. Ive excused both you from lesson 3 and 4.
Madame Pomphrey
"Who is it?" Sophie asked bringing me back to the common room. "Madam Pomphrey, my appointment is Monday." I told them all smiling. "Thats great Rose! Who are you taking with you?" Molly said, subtly asking if she could come. "Im only allowed to take Scorp. Sorry guys" I told them smiling. "It's ok" Molly shrugged. "I'm going to find Scorp and tell him" I said, standing up and leaving.
I set off for the Slytherin common room, assuming Scorpius would be there with Al. I got to the portrait hole and gave the password. Scorp was in a corner with Al. Walking over to them, I hear them talking in hushed voices. "How was it?" Scorpius was asking. "It was great" Al replied smiling. I cleared my throat. They both looked up and Scorpius smiled. "Hey Rose. Are you ok?" He asked. I nodded and handed him the parchment. His eye's scanned the page untill he look up smiling. "We get to see our baby in three days!" He said excitedly, there was a sparkle in his eyes.

The next day I woke up in the arms of Scorpius. We were in the room of requirement. "Hey" I said turning to face him. He smiled and opened his eyes groggily. "Happy Halloween" He said, pressing his lips into mine. Shivers ran down my spine. I pulled away, hand over my mouth and ran to the bathroom. Scorpius got up and followed me into the bathroom. He held my hair and rubbed my back until I was done. "Come on, lets get ready. We are spending the day with my family"
Scorp and I spent the day in the common room and walking around the lake. It was quite warm for October. Alice and Molly kept shooting me looks, they could tell we were closer. The boys were heavily involved with a game of exploding snap. The bangs brought me out of the day dreams. I linked my hand in Scorp's. He looked at me and mouthed "you ok?" I nodded wearily, exhausted.
An hour later we were all in the great hall, listening to McGonagal drone on. I snaped into focus when she said "let the feast begin!" She clapped her hands and the gleaming plates filled with food. I put very little on my plate, avoiding the pumpkin.
The smell of pumpkin was overwhelming. I already knew how this was going to end. My stomach was churning and the nausea was gradually getting worse. Scorpius caught my eye. "Whats up?" He asked quietly. I just shock my head. He shrugged and went back to eating.
I couldn't handle it anymore. I got of the bench and ran from the hall, hand over mouth. Running through the halls, I could hear someone else's feet pounding along behind me. When i finally reached the bathroom, I wasted no time getting into a stall.
I retched and gaged, my whole body shaking violently. I felt someone's hands gently pull back my hair and hold it at my neck. I finished and leant back into Scorpius, who had followed me out of the hall.
"Guess the baby doesnt like pumpkin" I laughed, standing and and going to the sinks. Scorpius follows me. "You're family are going to know somethings up aren't they?" He said, terror barely masked in his voice. "Probably" I nodded. Giving him a reassuring smile and squeezing his hand.
Albus pov
I knew they were in trouble now. Someone was bound to guess something was up with Rose and Scorpius. I saw Rose and Scorp leave the hall. I saw my family's eyes follow them out.
We all leave the hall and head up to the common room. "What was all that with Rose and Scorpius?" James asked. "Dunno, looked like Rose was going to be sick though" Louis commented looking confused. "Her and Scorpius are always attached at the hip. Do you there's something wrong with Rose?" He asked, sitting on the sofa in the common room. "No. She would have told us" Hugo told him reassuring but he didn't sound to sure. I noticed Emma and Roxanne hadn't said anything and were looking at each other.
They others bounced ideas of each other for aged. Molly, Alice, Sophie and I sat there awkwardly, trying not to look suspicious. "Lets just hope she's not pregnant" Fred joked laughing with James. We froze and Roxanne and Emma looked grim. Fred's jaw dropped when noticing this. "You think she's pregnant?" He asked them. "Well..." Emma began. "She is always exhausted, pale. Her and Scorp are always together. Her body looks different" Roxanne continued. The boys pulled faces. "You 4 haven't said much" Hugo burst out suddenly pointing accusingly at us. "What?! We don't know anything" I told them. "Really? You guys are their best friends. They must have told you something" James pressed. "My sisters pregnant isn't she?" Hugo asked quietly after a while. "Sounds like it" Lucy said looking disgusted.
We stayed in the common room till late (we were the only one's there), no one saying much. "Just tell us the truth" James said fists clenched. "She's pregnant" Molly said. The exact moment Rose and Scorpius walked in common room.
