She was with her dad in his car, driving through the woods. Behind them was Oliver in his motorcycle. They were driving almost an hour already. Felicity tough about a lot of thing. The father and the daughter were quiet for most of the ride. He needed some rest, she could tell, by his tied look. She, well, she didn't exactly need physical rest, what she needed was to be able to stop think, for at least two minutes.
But she couldn't. Her life changed two months ago. First of she told Oliver who her father was, and more importantly, she told him what she felt for him. Then she somehow managed to make some peace with Steve. Yes, that's right, this Steve, also known as Captain America. Then she managed to make peace with her father, telling him she was really happy with Oliver and the whole Arrow team.
She was sad tho, for Nat and Bruce. The doctor disappeared after the war in Sokovia. Oh this thing again! She was trying really hard not to think about Sokovia, and every time miserably failed. It wasn't the most cheerful event of her life, although she was right when she said that she would be of more help out there instead if she was locked at the tower (like Rapunzel) she thought and laughed at herself. She managed to stop the machine Ultron had made before he even got to use it. Ultron's plan was to take the city up in the sky. Well that didn't happen. Because Felicity. And her father couldn't stop bring it to her. He would go on and on how brave she was and how proud of her he was.
After they defeated Ultron Oliver and Felicity stayed a couple more days at New York. Felicity even managed to see Pepper. She met her boyfriend with her soon to be step-mother. Actually Felicity felt stronger than step-mom about Pepper. More like second mother. Not that she would exchange her mother for anyone, but since she was gone Pepper was more than a mother to her.
Then they went back to Starling. Felicity helped Oliver and Thea to move to the mansion again. She met Thea, now officially. Felicity also made something else for Oliver but this time it was not only about him. She may have or may have not told Pepper about the issues with QC. Well, now they didn't have any problems. Do you know why? Because Pepper bought it and decided to give it to Felicity, so she could start getting used to the family business. That way they were all happy. Oliver knew his parents' legacy was in good hands and Felicity could work with his father and be in Starling.
Her father looked at her and smiled. She smiled at him back and looked out of the window. Whoa! This was amazing! The new compound was actually more than amazing. It looked like a small military base. They parked and Felicity immediately jumped out of the car. She turned to see Oliver taking down his helmet. The young man had the same expression she had a minute ago.
"You like it?" her father asked and they both just nodded.
In the inside was even more breath taking than from the outside. There were computers everywhere, only Stark's highest tech, more soldiers, agents and scientists than Felicity could count. They walked through a corridor, the another, and another until they finally reached the 'common area' as her father called it. There was a big room with a kitchen in the one corner and a sitting area. Tony explained to them how many rooms they got, who was already living here and who was about to move in. He told them that he made a room for them too, when they visit.
Thor and Steve was in the kitchen talking. They quickly joined them. On the god's face appeared a smile as soon as he saw them.
"Aah, the Starks and the Queen!" he welcomed them and hugged Felicity. "I am so glad to see you." Felicity returned the smile. She then looked at the captain standing next to Thor.
She greeted him quietly and hugged him tightly. For the past three years, since Felicity left New York they only had heard once and it was by coincidence. She was talking to her father, who was in the tower when Steve walked in the room to their conversation. When he heard her voice he apologized for his interruption and left. Now, however, was different. In the past couple of months, they had a few calls. She was happy that he accepted her wish to stay friends, and they did. One time he even talked to Oliver.
Thor said he had to go now, to Asgard so Tony and Steve offered to walk with him. When they did it was only Felicity and Oliver left in the room. She hugged him and asked him what was he thinking.
"You know, when you bought the mansion and renovated it I tough it was awesome, but now, compared to this" Oliver said and laughed. Felicity made an angry face "Whoa! Sorry. Don't get me wrong but this is like 50 times bigger than the manor and I can't be like, unimpressed." Oliver said and Felicity laughed.
"You know; you start to sound like me" she smiled at him
"Is this a bad thing?" Oliver asked and pretended that he was worried.
"No! Not at all!" she said and kissed him. "I love you!"
"I love you too, Felicity!"
