The 3 stood there. No one said a single word. They couldn't say anything. Resolve to Sonic's body and laid him took him to the house with the others following. He set him on the couch. Resolve wrotr a note. It said:
"We need to find the other 4 emeralds. We know where one is. If you have any last words for Sonic do it now. We have to hurry."
Resolve stood over Sonic and stared. He made a motion with his hook symbolising a cross. He left the room. Catalyst stood over Sonic next.
"I didn't know you well, but you were a damn good leader." she said. She walked out of the room and went outside with Sonic. Finally Tails stood there. Resolve tried to hear from outside. He looked at the window. Tails didn't say anything. He just sunk down and cried.
"Poor kid." said Catalyst. "He must've been a good friend of his."
Resolve stared for a bit. He then saw Tails walk out and he didn't look good at all. He then looked at Tails and motioned him to go back inside.
"You want me to spend time with him don't you?" asked Tails. Resolve nodded. The 2 got in the car and went off. Tails went back inside. He sighed and decided to call Knuckles. The phone rang and finally he picked up.
"How ya doing Tails?" asked Knuckles
"H-hey Knuckles." said Tails
"You alright?" Knuckles asked
"I-I'm fine."
"Something is wrong isn't there?"
"..."
"He's gone isn't he?"
"..."
"I'll be over there soon." he hung up and Tails sat there. He didn't say a word. He walked into his room. He got in bed and cried into his pillow.
Meanwhile Resolve was motioning Catalyst on where to go. They were close to the emerald. Resolve saw the emerald and Catalysr stopped the car. The 2 got out and grabbed the emerald. Right as they walked back the emerald disappeared and a figure swooped by them. They turned to see a girl in a long red basketball cloak, a cap, a red t-shirt, short black sweatpants, and red air jordans.
"And who might you be?" asked Catalyst.
"Name's Clutch." the girl said "I'm here to take this to Drift. Now if you excuse me, I'll be on my way." she walkwd away but held up the emerald. It shot out energy and blew up the car. That's when a gold cart fell from the sky and landed right in front of Clutch. She hopped in but was met with a fist from Catalyst.
"So we're doing this the hard way huh? Fine." said Clutch. She ran into the cart, slammed the gas, and disappeared.
"What? Where did she go?" asked Catalyst. Just then the cart popped up behind her and ran right into Catalyst. Catalyst was flung into the road. She landed with a crash and Clutch looked at her.
"That's all you got?" asked Clutch. Resolve then realized her ability. She could control the cart and make it do whatever she pleases. Resolve knew he would have to stop time for a few seconds but that would highly damage him. He sighed and then time stopped. He ran up to the car and swung at Clutch only for his hook to be stopped. He then realized that she put. a barrier to avoid this. Time continued and Resolve fell to the ground unconcious. Clutch looked down at him.
"I've been told about your ability. It's dangerous to not only me, but also you. Luckily I was prepared." she said. Catalyst looked at Clutch, took out her spirit and charger right at her. Clutch saw this and put the cart into reverse. 2 seconds later she disappeared. She reappeared behind Catalyst but Catalyst was prepared. She smacked the cart away and it slid on the ground. Clutch slammed the brakes and the cart stopped. She looked at Catalyst and went right for her again. Catalyst this time had her spirit grab Clutch and throw her across the road. She was thrown near a lake. She looked up and saw Catalyst staring down at her.
"You think it's over?" asked Clutch. She then held up the emerald and the cart came towards Catalyst and hit her into the lake. Catalyst swam to the surface and realized Clutch's plan. She was going to drown her. Catalyst got out of the lake, grabbed Resolve, and started to run. Clutch got in the cart and floored the gas. The cart was close towards her when another car came by. A hand came out and grabbed Catalyst and Resolve and went off.
"What the hell?" asked Catalyst. She was in the passenger seat and Resolve was on her lap. She looked to the driver's seat to see a girl with pink hair, a grey hoodie, grey pants, and black and white sneakers.
"Who are you?" Catalyst asked.
"Huh? Oh yeah! My name is Onslaught Overtaker, most just call me Onslaught." she said. She floored the gas and the car sped up.
"Where are we headed? And where is the emerald? And why are you helping us?" Catalyst had many questions.
"Well we're headed towards your place. There is something you don't know about it. Clutch got the emerald unfortunately and the reason I'm helping you? I used to work for Drift. I hated him and I finally escaped."
"Something we don't know? What are you talking about?"
"You'll understand soon." The car drifted right and gained speed. Catalyst was very confused and didn't know who this person was. All she could really do was trust her.
