CHAPTER 1O: ANOTHER PROBLEM ARISES.

(POV: Mysterious Narrator.)

As Thomas did his best to soothe Lady, everyone looked on in shock and amazement as they saw the magicborn princess back to her normal colors. As she saw this, Lux-Aurea smiled broadly as she spoke to Thomas's brothers.

"He's done it! Lady's freed of that spell!'

"Yes.." Chuckled Timothy. "I can tell."

"Whenever there might be doubt upon the completion of a task..." Billster sniggered. "Our brother goes ahead and shows us how wrong we are in the end. It'd for this reason that he can not be ever doubted easily by us."

"I'm just glad that he was able to." Lux-Aurea remarked. "Now then, time to get you a better prison, Tenebris."

Tenebris only cackled, as she felt the restraints upon her wrists. Thanks to Strea's "accidental" Strike of Lightning on her, the goddess of darkness was over powered by her sister, and was defeated, as Thomas broke the spell upon Lady. As she cackled madly, Lux-Tenebris let out a sigh and sneered devilishly at her sister.

"Oh, did you really think it was over, Aurea? If so then my goodness are you naïve." She remarked. "For your information, the war is just getting started!"

As Thomas then looked over, his eyes widened as he saw the man in Apple Green. Seeing that he was trying to get Lux-Aurea from behind, Thomas stood up quickly and did one thing that he was NOT to do with his new arm.

"Your majesty! Get down!"

Lux-Aurea did, as Thomas then shot a bolt of lightning through a sigil on his palm. As the man cackled, he fell onto the ground and used his sword to free, Lux-Tenebris.

"Not bad for a little squirt." The man remarked.

"Al-fred..." Thomas panted, as he then fell to the ground unconscious.

"Thomas no!" Lady cried as she ran to her husband.

"I would love to stay, but I've got things to do!" Alfred said to the Sorcerer-Knights as he went through a portal.

"No chance of having that pest helping you this time, Lady." Lux-Tenebris remarked as she got ready to subdue Lady with a black bolt of lightning. "You're mine!"

"No she's not!" Said a voice, as another black bolt of lightning clashed against the dark goddess's.

"Strea! You dare betray me?!"

"No!" Strea replied. "I'm making up for all the crimes I've committed against my REAL family. YOU made me into this monster, Aunt Tenebris! Now I'm going to put things right!"

Strea looked towards Lady and her Mother, whom were all with the group of Sorcerer-Knights

"Mum! Lady! You get everyone out of here now! Go while you can!"

"But Strea!" Lady cried.

"Just go! Your forgiveness is all I need, sister! Go! It'll be alright."

Lady gave a nod, as tears flowed from her eyes. As she, Proteus, Jackland and Lux-Aurea used their gold-dust with Proteus's lamp, a massive cloud of gold swirled around them and all of the Sorcerer-Knights. As Strea's bolt of lightning was then overpowered by her aunt's, a bright purple glow shined across the area. Strea, had died. As Lux-Tenebris stepped over what remained of her niece, she had a deep and broad scowl across her face. Back at their Palace, Lady paced anxiously as she awaited for the update on her husband. With the issue possibly being magic related, Burnett Stone was called in. As the upcoming queen shuddered, she suddenly heard footsteps coming towards her, which belonged to none other than Burnett.

"How is he?" Lady asked worriedly. "Please tell me that he'll be okay."

"Well..." Burnett replied. "He's still alive. I know that much. However, he's..."

"He's what?" Lady quizzed, as her answer was given by the next thing she'd seen. "Oh my! Thomas!"

Thomas, as Burnett said, was alive as Victor pushed him in via wheelchair, but was still, frozen and unresponsive apart from his breathing. As he saw Lady and felt her hug him, only a single letter came out of his mouth.

"L...L...L"

Tears fell from Lady's eyes, as Thomas tried to say her name.

"What happened to him?"

"Well.." Burnett began. "Apparently, when Thomas fired that bolt of lightning, I think since it was a spell from a variant of himself that he's afraid of becoming, that the memories of that very same man became so strong that he became conflicted. To put it simply, he's stuck. and unsure on how to respond to certain things."

"Is he going to be like this for good?"

"I'm not sure, Lady." Burnett replied. "However, that isn't to say there isn't a cure for this. If there is, I promise that I WILL find it. But until then, Thomas will need help with tending to his needs."

"I understand." Lady replied. "I'll do what I can for him. Maybe even see if he can talk to me telepathically, so I can understand him better."

"Now that's the girl we know!" Jackland remarked, as his wife and Burnett nodded in agreement.
