Chapter 15

CERSEI

Things are moving very fast in King's Landing for Cersei 's liking. All her spies and peers at court are either replaced are falling ill. Her First born locks himself in his chamber all day and complains about wolves howling in his chambers. It pains to see her Golden Lion like this disshelved , paranoid and wetting his bed everynight.

The Hound often told her that the prince screams and wets his pants during every Nightmare. Some at court has sniggered at him and called him the " Prince of Pisswater" and "Brown Prince". She could not find who is slandering her Lion but Vowed to have their tongues removed.

She could not believe that the wretched Boy Hand seems to be thriving at court as both Varys, Pycelle and Littlefinger seems to be vary of him. The small folk seemed to love and adore him and the High Septon who used to a lechering fat drunk suddenly became very pious and seems to like the Boy Hand as well. Both the High Septon and Selmy regularly attend all Small Counsil meetings.

Even Robert who had lost some Six Stone of weight since he came back from the North and literally training from Dusk to Dawn everyday and attending the Small counsil meetings and preparing for the 'Annual Meeting of Lords'. This worried Cersei more as this looks more and more like a Great Counsil than anything else. Even Father will be in Attendance .

Jamie was neglecting her since they came to King's Landing as he oversees the search of all the wretched Wild fire Caches. She was feeling very alone as Tommen and Myrcella continue to play with the dirty Wolfgirl who runs around chasing cats and some strange dances. Robert started treating her with respect as well which is strange. Jamie told her Robert's wine was heavily watered and he stopped his whoring. Cersei felt that there might be a conspiracy afoot which she couldn't find anything about.

The meeting of the Lords will be Two days from now. The Capital was buzzing with activity as several Lords, their Banner men and the Household knights are already in the Capital. She looked at the courtyard to find the former bastard 'Ser Jon Stark' fighting with Lord Dondarrion and a group of men watching intently. She could recognize some of them as Valeman as she could see Royce, Corbray and Belmore Sigils on their Coats of Arms.

She might have underestimated the boy Brandon. He seems to make fast friends with the CrownLand Lords as well joining them on Hunts along with Robert riding on his huge Direwolf which gained him respect from the Lords. The boy has changed the very atmosphere of the Red Keep as the Throne room now also has all Seven Banners of all Seven Kingdoms as well, the boy asked the Heralds to address Robert as "King of the Andals , The Rhoynar, The Ironborn and The First men" to include the Iron men which sounded even more powerful, she mused why didn't anyone think of this before .

Cersei was feeling frustrated because she was not used to sleep alone at nights and she missed Jamie Terribly . She has not coupled with her twin since Winterfell. She tried to seduce Lancel but the boy was regularly beaten to a pulp in the training Yard by Robert and Jon Stark and started dedicating all his time to training. One Night she was forced to relieve herself using her fingers.

Her plans to kill Robert with Drink were thrawted and she is losing Power and Allies everyday. She planned to complain to Father once he comes to the Capital. The quicker Joffrey ascends the Throne , the quicker can the Stark boy can be dismissed. She heard a sudden scream coming from Joffrey's chambers and about to leave when she saw a sparrow fly away from her window, of late the Red Keep seems to be infested with all manner of Pests.

Littlefinger

Petyr Baelish was a cautious man and believed in using CHAOS to grow steadily, but of late his plans are backfiring due to the actions of a Seven Year old boy who ensured 'ORDER' by strict reforms. The Boy was very clever in surrounding himself with Guards and Wolves , he even employed food testers which made it impossible to poison him. He never rode a Horse nor he went anywhere far from the city.

The boy charmed and befriended the high septon who suddenly turned into a strict and pious man giving up all vices , which is a shame as he was a regular in his brothels. Littlefinger often doubted if a faceless man has replaced Bran Stark as no Seven Year old could be this clever. Even Varys was feeling nervous around the boy and seemed surprised by the Boy's reforms.

The Boy took firm control of the crown's expenses and introduced what he called a "Double Entry Book Keeping" system which made it impossible to Skim money off the record. As a result his many transactions and business have to be kept on hold. Few of his firm supporters in the Gold Cloaks like Aleem Daar and Janos Slint were found dead at a tavern with their throats slit . the following week many of the corrupt officers began to either disappear or turned themselves in for taking bribes which hurt Peter's businesses even more.

Petyr's plan to bring war between the great houses and throw the realm in chaos has been delayed due to the boy's efforts. First there was no reaction from Catelyn even after Lysa's letter implicating the Lannisters in Jon Arryn's death. The Boy had even summoned Robin Arryn to court, no doubt to appoint Royce as the regent. Even Ned Stark could not do what the boy had done in such a short time, for that he had to admire the boy.

But he has to kill Brandon Stark before he destroys his well laid plans and throw the blame on the Lannisters. Catelyn will be Heartbroken and the king will return to his Vices. Ned Stark will come to replace his son as Hand and then he will lead Stark to the King's Bastards. Cersei seemed to be becoming more paranoid since her Bastard starting pissing himself everynight. Ah how the entire city is mocking 'The Brown Prince' for his habits brought a smile to his face everytime. Renly had outdone himself by spreading the news to everyone.

Petyr checked some of the messages he has sent to his agents and went to Bed.

He suddenly found himself running in a forest with cuts and bruises all over his body and looked back to find a large Wolf chasing him and gaining. He turned a corner and hit under a tree but found not one but two more DireWolves growling at him from both sides . One is White and the other is Grey. The Grey wolf bit his arm and removed a large chunk of flesh off it. He felt a stinging pain and ran in the other direction of the forest.

He then saw a man who he loathed ride on a horse and dismounted and slowly walked towards him "Hello Worm" Brandon Stark mocked him "You are dead Stark , you cannot hurt me". "Are you sure little man, I came here to continue the fight and Cat isn't here to save you " the tall bastard said raising his sword. He felt his old injuries burn and itch suddenly. 'The Wild Wolf' started coming towards him. Petyr ran away from him only to see a Giant Raven looking at him from the sky.

It has a Third Eye above it's beak which was glowing with power. The raven caught him by the neck and flew high . He struggled against it's sharp talons but it do not let go. Finally it dropped him in a river. He could not breathe and struggled to come to the surface where a Giant Trout had slashed from the water and fell on him. He submerged under it's weight unable to see anything underwater.

Suddenly the speed of his drowning quickened as Peytr realized he was not in the water but was falling from a mountain. He screamed for help but none came. He looked at the surroundings and knew he was in the Vale. He fell on the jagged rocks below and found all his bones broken and bleeding profusely. Then he saw a Monstrous Falcon as tall as a 'Mountain' looking angrily at him. "Traitor" it's voice boomed and in a flash it ripped him apart with his beak.

He woke sweaty , panting and out of breath. Once he composed himself he found himself shivering as the Vivid dream is still fresh. Cursed himself for believing in fancies and went to drink some wine. As he stood up he caught a glimpse of a Raven flying away from his room and felt a chill ran across his spine.

Varys

Varys sat silently in the small counsil table and listened to the High Septon praising the boy-hand abd Robert for their contribution in building 'Motherhouses' for Orphans in Flea Bottom. For Varys the boy is an enigma and an Obstacle. He has never seen a Seven Year Old so full of Wisdom, Charm, Political Skill Guile and Ruthlessness.

When the boy first arrived , Varys thought he will be intimidated and overwhelmed by the Game. But the boy proved to be a great player as he quickly established his Reputation as well as effectively undermined everyone else's influence at court. The Queen and Baelish looked tense and tend to be wary of the boy. The Boy's brother Jon Stark became the 'First Knight' of House Stark and was Knighted by Ser Barristan Selmy himself. Seems like Miracles tend to occur frequently in this Hand's tenure.

Varys had the rumor spread that the Northern Boy is a savage who practices Foul Magics and a sorcerer who eats human meat, but to his surprise the boy found more support from the High Septon and was beloved by the people. They are comparing the boy with "Baelor The Blessed' and even Robert was praised for the boy's appointment.

This does not bode well for his plans. He have to find a way to remove the boy from power before the war starts. The way in which the boy secretly dealt with the corrupt Goldcloaks showed how Ruthless the boy can be. The boy had called for a Great Counsil and Varys has no idea what he meant to achieve by this , but knew it could not be the Queen's secret.

Of course Varys have his own problems to deal with. His little birds are in a disarray. Some are bitten by Scorpions and Rats and the others reported fever and Nightmares as more of them are resting to recover Quickly. He asked his friend to send the next flock of trained birds so he can have his eyes and Ears again.

Stannis

Stannis did not expect to be back in King's Landing again so quickly. He sent Davos Seaworth and his Son Matthos to extract Robert's bastards discreetly. He was shocked when the boy hand Brandon Stark told him that he knew of the Queen's infidelity and the Royal children's Bastardy.

So Stannis along with his retinue of Two Hundred Men reached the street of Steel and entered inside Tobho Mott's shop. He was surprised to see Brandon Stark talking with Mott and looked at him and smiled. "Lord Stannis it is good to finally meet you . I hope you had a pleasant Journey my Lord" said the boy cheerfully.

"Lord Hand, thank you for the warning and discretion. Shall we proceed" he asked. "of course" the boy replied. He asked Mott to see the Boy. The boy in question , a tall strong lad with powerful hands and broad chest with Jet Black Hair and Deep Blue Eyes. "Hello Gendry, I am Brandon Stark leased to meet you" said the hand. "My Lord hand" bowed the boy.

"Gendry I have a request for you . I need a slender sword like that of a Bravo's Rapier made to give as a Name Day to my sister Arya Stark. Can you make it" asked the boy hand. "Aye , I can your Handship" he said and left. Stannis and Bran walked back towards their Horses when Bran ushered Stannis to an empty street and told him "Lord Stannis I have a solution to the Bastardy problem" said the boy hand "without any conflict". "How ?" asked Stannis.

"By removing Joffrey and Tommen from Succeeding and Marrying off Myrcella, Robert will need to have more sons by Cersei or Remarry again. Either case will make you the King's Heir and the new King "until cercei gives Robert a Son" . The boy's plan has merit and Stannis has to admit. He and the Hand left for the Red Keep to attend the Small Counsil meeting.
