"…and my family background is great. So why do you not want me? Any other guy would be thrill to date me, so why, Yome?"

"Then find another guy to go out with, stop chasing after me. I'm not interested in you," he offhandedly responded.

"Oof," Kitsu mumbled again under his breath, slightly disapprove of Koko's words. "That's too harsh, man. You could've word it a little nicer."

Koko sighed. "if I don't put it bluntly like that, she would never understand."

"Yea man but that's three blow in one sentence," Yuu added. "I mean, look, she's close to crying now." He was slightly concerned if she really did ended up crying. Whatever happened between the two, she's still his friend too.

She was biting her lower lips and her brows were furrowing deep as she looked down. It was as though she was trying to not cry. "I'm not crying, I'm not that weak," she wheezed, but she was probably close to sobbing her eyes out. In a fit of anger, she walked off in a huff, not before looking him straight in the eyes with a glare and in a hissy fit, she burst, "Fine, I'm gonna find another man to date and marry, you damn workaholic asshole of a virgin!"

Yuu and Kitsu broke into fit of laughter there and then. "Bro, she just called you a virgin!" Kitsu remarked, covering his now building up hysterical laugh over the back of his hand.

"On top of workaholic and asshole," Yuu pointed out in between laughs. "Damn man, she knocked you out like six times straight tonight." He counted, oh yes, he really counted.

"Tonight might be the best day of my life if we really were to end up in jail later on," Kitsu added, wiping his non-existent tears as his laugher slowly subsided.

"Uh-huh, well, your night might get a whole lot more entertained now," Yuu suddenly said. He motioned over Koko's back. "I just saw his girl snatched over macaroons from another person's plate."

"She's not my girl," Koko bit off.

"Bro, Shouda just snatched another one from her plate," Kitsu observed. "I'm sure the girl perceived it as Shouda bullying her for no apparent reason by now. Imagine you're just by yourself minding your own damn business but all of a sudden a psycho permy haired came and took your—for god's sake, she's doing it again. Isn't this harassment now?" He turned to Koko. "Yome, do something," and off he headed towards the poor girl. Despite the mocking, he still went and help her.

Yuu watched Kitsu dragged Sumire to the side before slightly bowed his head—assumably to apologize to the blue haired girl, who was gesturing that everything was fine with a smile. While they were talking things, Sumire slowly slithered herself towards the end of the refreshment table, now grabbing for another drink.

"Uhh Yome, you sure you're not supposed to be there instead? I just saw her grabbing for another glass of wine," Yuu spoke.

"She's not my problem," came Koko's curt reply. He clearly didn't want to bother himself with her at the moment. "Not now, not ever," he grunted to himself.

"Annnddd she just spilled her drinks on another lady's dress," Yuu sighed at the unfolded scene before his eyes and shook his head. "Stop being an asshole, man. Just have some heart, please, even if you're trying to be stern with her." He quickly rushed to the scene.

He worked quick, thanks to his working experience as a personal secretary to Natsume Hyuuga. He grabbed for a chair on his way to the refreshment table, set it aside as to not block other people's way before he grabbed a hold of Sumire and had her sit on it with a clean plate of whatever desserts he could quickly grab and a fork. Surprisingly, Sumire did stayed silently there, quietly nibbling on what looks like a piece of biscotti. His movements were fast and efficient. One minute he was tending to Sumire, the next second he was properly apologizing to the lady with the stained dress.

"I sincerely apologize for the incident. I assure you, she didn't do it intentionally," Yuu began and slightly bowed his head to apologize.

The pink haired girl smiled gently. Her blue eyes sparkled softly. "No, it's alright. My dress is in black so the stain doesn't look bad. I'm sure she didn't mean it." She wiped her dress with a napkin. "Your girlfriend doesn't look good, though. Did you guys fight? She seems disgruntled."

"Oh, no. She's not my girlfriend," Yuu explained. "It's his problem, actually," he motioned towards the backside of an unbothered Koko at the other side of the room. "But she's a friend to us still," he added in as a matter of fact tone. He then happened to glance behind her back and saw Sumire was now reaching for yet, another glass of wine. "For god's sake, Shouda, you take another drink, I will have Yome go on a blind date with my colleague, mark my words," he warned her.

And Sumire sat back, almost somewhat begrudgingly. No way in hell would she want that to happen.

"I will help her pay for your cleaning fees so please contact this number later," Yuu quickly handed the pink haired his business card, bowed his head and excused himself in a haste before making his way to Sumire's side.

"For you to cause this stupid scene, are you really tipsy or you're just pissed at Yome?" Yuu asked while massaging his temple with a hand on his hips. "Tell me honestly, Shouda."

Just then, Kitsu also arrived at their side after he managed to tie up loose ends just now. Thank god the girl was a nice one. And pretty, too.

"Both," she answered quietly. She looked up at Kitsu hopefully. "Can't you do something about your friend? Cut open his heart and take it out or something?" Because damnit, despite her tantrum just now, he still won't budge!

Kitsu snorted. "I hope you mean it literally." But she didn't and Kitsu froze. "Are you for real, Shouda? You're crazy."

"How much did you drink? Answer me honestly," Yuu asked.

"Seven glasses," she mumbled, "I was surprised I didn't feel anything when I had my fourth glass so I just continued drinking more. I thought my alcohol tolerance had increased," she explained in a mumble.

"No, we don't serve drinks with high alcohol contain for parties like this." He sighed, "but you just keep on drinking despite knowing your not-so-high alcohol tolerance." He gently pulled her up. "Alright, you need to go home so I will have Yome send you back. You two talk whatever you guys need to settle with on your way back home, okay?"

Sumire scoffed. "You think I didn't try doing that all these years?"

Yuu gave her a look. "Then do you want Akeshi to send you back instead?"

Sumire was quick to refuse. "No no! Yome, please." She was also quick to grab whatever opportunities that were given to her, in anything that regards to her love interest.

The corner of Kitsu's mouth curled up into a taunting smirk. "Like I would want to offer myself to send you back home, brat." Sumire just rolled her eyes at his remark.

Yuu went to find Koko.

"Shouda had calmed down so you send her back home."

He immediately spun around. "What? No. it's too awkward for me to be in the same car with her alone right now."

"Now you realized that?" he raised his brows at him. "Own up to your mistakes, man. Can you at least be the mature one here and just don't run away from problems anymore."

"I don't run, I avoid."

"That's one childish remark that I really didn't expect to come out from an adult like you, Yome." Yuu gave him a look before continuing, "Look, we can't send her back in a taxi, it's too dangerous. And between us three, you're on talking terms with his brother." He just knew her brother would be waiting for her to come back at home. She's his baby sister after all.

"Aren't we all?"

Yuu rolled his eyes. "No, YOU are on talking term. Me and Akeshi are on greeting terms," Yuu emphasized. "Akeshi and I don't really talk with Shouda's brother. It's always you."

Despite the habitual deep frown they saw on her brother's face everytime he talks, they couldn't helped but noticed that her brother only ever spoke to Koko and never to them. Most of the time he just ignored Yuu and Kitsu whenever they're near. And often, their greetings were replied with grunts rather than words. It had come down to their conclusion that it's either Shouda's brother disliked the two of them very much that he refused to talk to them or he just simply favoured Koko too much over them three.

"So her brother would at least feel relief that his little sister is safe in your hands." Yuu patted on Koko's back. "So send her home, okay?" He could imagine her brother's glowered face if it was Kitsu or him sending her home.

Koko frowned. "Isn't this more important?" He motioned for Natsume. "Our life and careers are on the line here." Not to mention, their jail time.

"We'll take it from here. We'll inform you if there's anything major going on so please, send her back home."

"Inform me?" Koko scoffed. "You guys left me in the dark last time!"

"Bro, are you still hung up over that?! That's like four years ago!" He's bringing up the time when they had forgotten to inform him that Hyuuga had tried to drunk himself to death.

"Damn right I am!" He knew about it when everything had already escalated, of course he's still bitter about it!

"Fine, you sensitive bastard. I promise we will constantly keep you updated. So send her back home please." And please, please, you guys need to have proper discussion about whatever status your relationship is, he inwardly sighed.

Koko gave Yuu a long dubious stare with his narrowed eyes before finally shrugging off. "Alright, then. You promised me so keep to it." He loosened up his stiff shoulders and went to fetch Shouda who was at that time were bickering with Kitsu about his failure as a doctor that he couldn't even cut open his friend's chest and take out his heart as per she had requested.

"Shouda, let's go. If you're not moving, I'm leaving you behind," he said curtly before storming off, leaving a confused yet flustered Sumire scrambling to her feet, chasing after him.

"Honest to god, that's very ungentlemanly of him," Yuu commented while shaking his head.

"I know right, he disappoints me even as a friend," Kitsu agreed mockingly.

"So, what do you think it's gonna be?" Yuu asked Kitsu quietly.

Kitsu shrugged. "I don't know, man. It's hard to tell." His gaze travelled to the raven haired and the brunette. "I can't even imagine what they're even talking about right now."

"I have a bad feeling about this," Yuu muttered to himself, feeling the uneasiness building up inside him.

Because everything happened too quickly.

Is that why his throat felt so parched yesterday?

Wth, was that already some sort of bad premonition of what's coming?

Yuu furrowed his brows and in a haste, he accidentally smacked Kitsu's back when he just wanted to pat him lightly to get his attention. Kitsu winced but he asked nonetheless, "It better be something important for you to be hitting me like this, Tobita."

"Is Hyuuga in alcohol probation?"

Kitsu snorted. "Dude, did Hyuuga got charged with DUI? Why didn't I know of it before?"

Yuu clicked his tongue, irritated at himself for word it wrong. He then corrected his question, "No, I mean, is he allowed to have alcohol? After that one incident, did you allow him to drink again?"

Kitsu gave him a look. "Dude, Hyuuga's not a raving alcoholic." If he's one, it made sense he shouldn't be anywhere near alcohol at all. But he then gave him a look of apprehension, understanding what Yuu meant. "But to be honest, I would rather he steer clear of it if he can even if he's not one. Considering his history, we don't know when he would do something as fucking stupid as one like the last time." He paused. "Wait, last time he drank because Sakura was—"

"Shit," Yuu cursed under his breath and immediately sprint across the room.

Because Hyuuga just grabbed a glass from a passing by server.

TBC.
