PROMT - HUMAN. KLAROLINE LOVED EAC OTHER, HAPPY IN A RELATIONSHIP WHERE CAROLINE IS THE ARTIST AND KLAUS IS A LAWYER. THEY HAVE AN ACCIDENT AND CAROLINE SLIPS IN A COMA. SHE IS LIKE THAT FOR 1 YEAR. KLAUS , AS A TRIBUTE TO HER STARTS PAINTING. DOES HE FALL INTO NEW RELATIONSHIPS?
Klaus has just come back home from the hospital. He frowns and pulls out another canvas to start painting. Its has been a year since she has fallen asleep and not woken up. Painting and drawing is the only thing that grounds him to her. An hour later, he decides to head to the Beans and Beer café- bar with Stefan. He enters the café-bar and sees Stefan sitting in one of the tables. He goes and sits down and gives him a nod of head and says, "What will you have mate, Bourbon?" Stefan frowns and says, " So early ? Did you spend the day with her?" Klaus motions towards the bartender and says, "I did, And I really need one drink so don't try to stop me. You may be my best friend Stefan but you do not want to mess with me now." Stefan sighs and says, "Me and Damon lost our sister too Nik. You are not the only one going through a hard time okay? Now have you had breakfast?" Klaus nods a no as his head goes down in guilt.
Soon Cami comes says, "Hey guys, Klaus. What can I get you today?" with an over interested voice. Stefan raises an eyebrow at the very forward flirting but then says, "One coffee, one earl grey and two today's special." Cami nods as she writes down the order and then says, "What do you say Klaus, want to meet up for drinks later on?" Stefan coughs not expecting the straight asking out. Klaus freezes and says, "Umm Camille, you're really beautiful but, umm" Cami immediately takes the hint and says, "Oh I get it, it's okay. Sorry." and leaves hurriedly. Stefan says, " You can move on you know Nik? She would want you to move on. I am not asking you to just go and propose to someone but going on a date is alright. Maybe you can get distracted somehow."
Klaus shrugs and Stefan continue and says, " Go on, ask her out. Go" and also encourages him with his hand. Klaus says, "Okay, but this will not end well." As he gets up and walks up to Cami. He coughs and Cami turns around and smiles shyly. He looks at Cami and says, "I'm sorry about earlier Camille. Thing have just been tense from the last one year. Umm, will you go out with me?" Cami smiles and says, "It's okay Klaus, I get it and yes I will. Pick me up at 8 from here only." Klaus smiles to her and walks back to his table, with his grumpy look on his face. He and Stefan continue to talk about their daily affairs.

Klaus is sitting in his office, going over a few case files when Mikael comes in and says, "Good morning Niklaus." Klaus looks up, gives his father a small smile and says, "Good morning dad, what can I do for you?" Mikael smiles back and says, "I have a case for you Niklaus. It's time we get the wolf back in streets. You are not made for paper work." Klaus shrugs and says, "I don't know Dad" Mikael moves his head in disagreement and says, "No Niklaus, It's time you get out and fight. Glooming will not help you with anything. She would have wanted you to continue with her life, do your job and maybe date someone." Klaus gets up angry and says, "How does everyone know what she would've wanted! I just want her back! I am incomplete without her Dad!" and breaks into tears. Mikael walks over to the crying Klaus and puts a hand on his shoulders and says, "I know son. I know. She will be awake soon, there is no doubt about that. She is a survivor." Klaus looks up and says, "Sorry for yelling at you dad." Mikael nods and pulls his step- son up for a hug. He had decieded a long time ago that Klaus is not to be blamed for his wife's infidelity. He had loved Klaus since he was born and that was not going to change anytime soon.
BEANS AND BEER CAFE- BAR
It's is almost 8 and time for Klaus and Cami's date. Klaus reaches the café after a lot of persuasion from Stefan and Damon. He knows that it is not going to work but he decides to go with their plan so they get off his back. He sees Camille sitting on the bench and says, "Sorry Camille, I was supposed to go to my gallery and reached there halfway when I remembered about our date." Cami smiles and says, "It's okay Klaus. If you want to make it up, you can show me your gallery if you don't mind?" Klaus hesitates for a moment and says, "Sure, but its not that good." Cami smiles and says, "Liar, I saw a review of your gallery in the paper. It was pretty great."Klaus shrugs and they get into his car to go to the gallery.
They keep talking about random things and Klaus finds a lot of her habits are similar to Caroline. He reaches the gallery and says, "Here we are." He opens the gallery and switches the lights on. She enters and looks fascinatedly at the paintings. She suddenly comes to stop at one paintings and looks curiously at it and says, "This is not your work, is it? The painting style is different, the signature is different and it is your portrait?"
Klaus looks at the painting, immediately remembering the day she painted this. He smiles and says, "Umm yes, this is Caroline Forbes work." Cami gets shocks and exclaims, "Really! You know her? Wow she is like one of my favorite artist of all times, though she is off the grid from the last one year. Do you know where she is?" Klaus freezes but then nods a no. Camille does not ask any more questions at the moment.
AN HOUR LATER.
Klaus had a good time with Camille, she feels more like a friend and less of a girlfriend, though no one could replace her. He goes to close the other pasts of gallery while leaving Camille near the lobby. Camille starts exploring around and sees a store room. She enters the room and sees many paintings of Caroline.
She gets shocked and soon hears Klaus's voice calling her, before she has time to react, he enters the room and looks at her with a shocked look. He says, "What are you doing here Camille?" Cami looks at him hurt and says, "Why are there so many paintings of her. Is she someone to you?" Klaus sighs and says, "Come on Camille, let's go for a walk." Cami nods and starts walking out of the room. She patiently waits while he closes the gallery and looks at him, waiting for an explanation. He looks at her and says, "She was- is my girlfriend. You already know that she has been off the grid from the last one year. She has been in a coma. We were in a accident a year ago and I was saved but she slipped into a coma. She is the reason why I started painting. You are the first date I have gone in 1 year and I will wait for her till the end. I am sorry Camille but I don't think we can be anything other than friends." Camille nods and says, "It's okay. You really love her don't you?"
Klaus nods and is about to say something when his phone starts ringing. He picks the phone up and Stefan's tensed voice comes from the other side, "Nik, she's awake! She's awake and she is asking for you." Klaus almost drops his phone and says, "Please don't lie to me Stefan. Is she really awake?" Stefan says, "She is Nik. Our wishes have finally come true." Klaus smiles and looks at Camille who is also smiling at him. He cuts the call and looks at Camille who says, "Can I meet her? I would be very grateful." Klaus thinks for a moment but then nods and they sit in his car rushing towards the hospital.
THE HOSPITAL
Klaus comes running down the halls with Camille behind him. He could not believe it. She had finally woken up. The love of his life would be in his arms again. He was a little afraid that she would be angry that he started dating someone. He reached her floor and saw Elizabeth Salvatore talking to the doctors with her husband. She looks at Klaus and smiles and says, "Go ahead Klaus." Klaus rushes inside and sees Damon, Stefan and her laughing. She was looking like a bundle of light in the dark world. She looks at him, give one of her killer smiles and Klaus's heart stops. He walks forward slowly as if trying to believe that she was here with him. Caroline sits up and says, "Hello Nik. What is this I hear about you not doing your job and not dating other people?" Klaus chuckles at her bossy attitude which he missed and says, "Still bossy as ever huh sweetheart?" Caroline shrugs a yes and he moves forward in full speed and pulls her into a passionate and bruising kiss. He hands go around his neck and his around her waist. Suddenly Damon's voice is heard, "No, no, none of that anymore. She is our baby sister for god's sake!" Klaus breaks the kiss with a groan and Caroline says, "Both of you out now." Stefan and Damon protest but then soon agree and walk out of the room. Klaus looks at Caroline and says, "I missed you Care. I love you." Caroline smiles and says, "I love you too baby. But seriously, why have you not been doing work? And you have not gone to a date from the last 1 year, what is up with that?" Klaus frowns and shrugs and says, "I couldn't sweetheart. I love you, I will always love you. How can I date someone else when I love you. And I was not in the mood to do work. I have been going to office, but I do not fight any cases." Caroline frowns and says, "And what do I hear about this Camille? Did you really go on a date? How was it? Did you have fun?" with genuine excitement in her voice. Klaus chuckles and says, "She is a big fan of your work, I took her to my gallery." Caroline gets shocked and says, "A gallery! You started painting! Oh I am so proud of you." Klaus smiles and continues, "It was because of you, and no there is nothing going forward with Camille, she is just a friend, she is actually here to meet you." Caroline smiles and says, "Sure, go ahead. Bring her in." Klaus moves out and calls for Camille. Cami comes inside and says, "Hi Caroline. I am a big fan of yours. How are you feeling." Caroline smiles at the resemblance and says, "I'm good Camille." Cami says, "Please call me Cami, Camille sounds old." Caroline laughs and Cami can see the way Klaus is looking at her. She then says, "Umm thank you for meeting me Caroline. I should leave. Goodbye Klaus, I hope we remain friends." and she bids good nights and walks out of the hospital. Caroline turns to look at Klaus and says, "So? Her or me?" in a teasing voice. Klaus smirks and says, "You, always you." and starts kissing her passionately and deeply, overjoyed at being reunited with his love."
