Chapter 10

I don't own gacha world

The next day, around midmorning

Me and Ellie finally waved goodby to sana, the maid had been a great hostess and very friendly to both me and my fairy companion. Now me and Ellie were on our way to scout out the rest of the capitol so we could plot our next course of action and find the next corrupted soul.

Suddenly a small pair of hands grabbed my arm, I looked down to see a young girl with black hair and purple eyes filled with tears staring straight up into my face. I sank down onto one knee and gripped the child's hands, in her arms was a rabbit doll.

"What's wrong?" my voice was soft as to not scare the child away, the girl sniffled before speaking.

"Monsters took my friends, p-please help me" and with that she burst into tears, anger rose up inside of me and slowly I stood up and let my gaze roam about my surroundings.

"Where were your friends taken?" I asked, the child pointed with one shaky finger towards a dark alley off to our left. Nodding I let the girls hand slip from my own as I stalked over to the dark street in between buildings.

The familiar weight of my sword appeared in my hand, finally I was directly in front of the alley. Switching my type to light my sword let out a soft enough glow for me to see several bats and goblins surrounding what appeared to be a pile of dolls. The poor black haired girl must have meant these, oh well, a friend is a friend no matter what it is.

My feet slammed into the ground with each step I took as I raced forward and cut down the first goblin, blood sprayed upward and splattered my face. Dancing and twirling my blade to block their clubs and fangs I slowly cut each one down until none of them were left.

The gacha sword hissed as it re-entered it's sheath across my back. I reached down and picked up a rabbit doll similar to the one the girl had been carrying, she must be an introvert, the poor loli.

3rd POV

Sora walked out of the alley, blood dripping from the sword across her back and from her robes and face. Several dolls were draped across her arms as she crossed the street over towards a young girl with black hair. People stopped to stare at the pink haired teen whose animal ears flicked every now and then. Whispers started to sound all along the road, Sora finally got down on one knee before the child and handed her each toy before rubbing the top of her head and smiling.

"Stay safe" Sora whispered to the girl before standing up and continuing on her way down the street. Moments later a fairy landed upon the summoner's shoulder and they both disappeared around the next turn. The young child whose name was lolita stared after sora before smiling softly with a bright blush across her cheeks. That had been the first person to ever help her when she needed it. Lolita turned and started home, unknowing that a small spark had been lit inside of her.

But unknown to everyone down in the street, a shadow vanished from a church's rooftop, going to report to its master.
