AN: I thought fighting Heroic spirits all day long every day was going to earn more excelsia than fighting the occasional monster for a few short hours a day every few days so I upped his time to level a bit compared to canon.

Fate Grand Disorder

Chapter 11 – Minotaur

It was the day Bell had been waiting for. This was the day he would finally be allowed to go back into the dungeon. Even though he was going to escorted by Yan Qing, he was assured it was only for security and that he would doing the bulk of the fighting. Since the day he started training with Yan Qing, his admiration of his skill grew daily and he realised, even though they were both level one, the difference in skill between them was the difference between heaven and earth. Bell looked up to him.

Just in case, Yan Qing gave Bell a 'magic' headband that was said to be able to summon up armour for Bell, if the situation arises that he needed the extra protection. So dressed like his mentor, he walked to the guild and hopefully into the dungeon.

He was accosted by his half elf advisor Eina Tulle as he was walking through the guild on his way to the dungeon entrance. "Where do you think you're going dressed like that?" She was cross.

"To the dungeon." Bell answered innocently.

Eina raised an eyebrow as she looked at the topless Bell and the topless, and very handsome, man beside him. She felt the blood run through her cheeks but fought it back to put on as stern a face as possible. As the Hestia familia advisor, she had been put through enough already without having to deal with a death or accusations of not taking care of her charges. "With no armour? Or shirt for that matter?"

"We train as we fight and we fight as we train." The calm voice of Yan Qing answered.

Examining the two, she looked for a weapon and found none. "What about your weapons?"

"Our bodies are our weapons. Our fists are our swords." Again he answered as he crossed his arms.

Unarmed fighting was not unheard of or unpracticed as even Bete Loga of Loki familia would often fight unarmed in the dungeon. However, he was level five and Bell and Yan Qing were only level one. "You can't go in unarmed!" Eina argued but was stopped when Yan Qing raised a hand to silence her.

"I have trained him personally and I know he is ready."

"It's okay." Bell assured her. "We know what we are doing. We'll be fine. We're only staying on the first few floors anyway."

Eina really had no authority over adventurers as she was merely an advisor, someone who advises. All she could do was clasp her hands together and try to control her rapid heart beats as she watched both of them walk away from her and disappear into the dungeon. "He really does have a nice back." Eina thought to herself as she fought another blush.

Bell had surprised even himself as he dispatched the first few kobolds with practiced ease. Compared to what he was used to now, they were relatively tame. In fact, he had destroyed them all with one punch each. They traveled further and further into the dungeon and it was only on the fifth floor that Bell finally ran into trouble that he didn't think he could handle.

The howl of rage was the first thing they heard and when Bell saw the minotaur lumbering towards him he pulled out his headband and put it on his head. Remembering Yan Qings words he began his incantation, one fist on his hip and one open hand in the air beside him, "I call upon thee, steel of justice! In the name of all that is righteous and good, clad me in your protection." He changed his position into one he had practiced, raising one leg up and sweeping his arm in a circle pattern before raising both of them so that he stood in a one-legged crane stance. "SUMMON JUSTICE ARMOUR!"

It was deathly silent in the dungeon as the minotaur merely snorted and continued its charge towards Bell. "Bwhahahaha!" Yan Qing laughed, "I always wanted to see someone do that!"

Ripping the head band off, Bell threw it to the ground in fury. "What the hell! YOU LIED TO ME!"

"Now now Bell. Pay attention." Yan Qing was serious now. "Watch your opponent and strike."

Bell turned to the minotaur and now that he was furious as opposed to afraid, he realised that it really was quite slow. Compared to Yan Qing, it was as if it was moonwalking. Dodging swiftly he struck out with his fist connecting solidly with the beast's jaw. It was solid but not unlike striking into one of Yan Qing's blocks. His master continued to give him advice, "If one hits not enough, then hit it twice. If two is not enough, hit it three times. If three is not enough, hit it a hundred times. Strike as many times until it is enough."

Bell had landed over thirty blows on the beast and still, it didn't seem like it was slowing down but he continued his rain of fists and feet, listening carefully to instructions given out by his trainer. "Find it's weakness and use it. If it's bigger than you, turn it to your advantage."

So Bell did, finding the opportunity, he slid under the minotaur, using its own weight and momentum from its slash it attempted to deliver, Bell easily destabilized it and using a hip throw, the minotaur careened over and crashed into the ground. Bell was onto it as he rained blows onto what would have been any man's weakspot, savagely kicking and stomping the minotaur in the nuts repeatedly. The minotaur let go of its landform club in order to try and protect its manhood.

"You don't fight in a vacuum so use the environment to your advantage."

Bell hooked the minotaur's legs under his armpits and began swinging it around using all the strength he could muster before releasing the minotaur flying into the wall. As it staggered and bounced off the wall Bell ran forward and double drop kicked it in the back of the head. He had finally started to draw blood so he knew he was making progress.

Ais and Bete had been chasing and hunting down the minotaurs that had escaped them for a while now. All of the minotaurs had been slain before they ran into any level ones. All but one. They felt nervous as they rounded a corner after hearing the howl of a minotaur and the sounds of battle. On the fifth floor, it was very likely that it was only a rookie adventurer so they had to hurry lest someone died and they would be partly responsible for the poor rookie's death.

When they arrived, Ais was about to leap at the minotaur and slice it in two when a man suddenly appeared for them, arms outstretched. "It's ours." He declared, "do not interfere."

"If the boy dies it's not on us." Bete snorted derisively.

"He won't die." The man simply turned around and crossed his arms over his chest before continuing to bark out orders.

Ais and Bete couldn't read runes but they could at least read numbers and what they saw of the falna on the man's back said that he was a level one rookie with zero on all stats. A literal first day rookie.

What they witnessed in the battle in front of them however, left them agape with surprise. The minotaur was scrabbling to get away from a boy as it tried crawling away, even reaching out its hand as if pleading for help. "Don't give your opponent a chance to get away or recover." The man commanded.

The boy put the minotaur in a figure four leg lock and the minotaur howled in pain as it slapped its hand on the ground several times. "Nice! Now a backbreaker and into a rolling thunder then a pile driver!" Again the man seemed to casually call out moves as the boy proceeded to do as he was instructed.

The minotaur crashed heavily into the ground from the pile driver, blood splurting out everywhere but the boy was not finished. Covered in minotaur blood the boy proceeded to pick up the minotaur by its legs and slam it back into the ground shaking the ground around them.

"Well done, now into a suplex, atomic suplex then a dim mak!"

"I don't know the last one!" The boy called out as he was rolling the minotaur before suddenly springing backwards and slamming it into the ground again backwards.

"Ok now dragon punch, hadoken, spinning bird kick followed by a blanka roll!"

"Are you making stuff up?" The boy asked as he slammed the minotaur into the wall before clotheslining it.

"Now an Unlimited Bahamut Chronicles followed by a Seraph of the End then hit it with a Limit Break… Knights of the Round Table!"

"Are those even moves?" The boy picked up the landform club and smashed into the head of the minotaur three times in a miniature cyclone.

Dazed the minotaur was barely kneeling before the boy before the man roared out, "FINISH HIM!"

With a roar, the boy ran straight at the minotaur before leaping up and grabbing it's horns and windmilling around the minotaur's body generating massive amounts of momentum. With it, the boy was able to lift the minotaur up, spinning it in one direction before he suddenly snapped the head back in the other direction which tore out the minotaur's head by its spine. In a cacophony of blood, the body was flung high and away as it disappeared into motes of black ash along with its head leaving the boy standing there holding onto two minotaur horns. He had got his first drop.

When he looked up he saw the surprised face of his audience. He himself was surprised when he recognised them. Even more so when Ais and his eyes met and they both recognised each other. "YOU!" They both uttered at the same time.

Bell shyly tried to cover his bare chest with his arms hoping Ais wouldn't do anything rash like last time. The memories flashed back to him and his face burned red with embarrassment. Not knowing what to do and not knowing how to deal with assertive girls he did the first thing that came to mind. He turned around. Then he ran screaming from the dungeon.
