Chapter 23, enjoy!
It was Saturday morning, the day after the Quarter Finals and the day of the Winter Formal.
"So mom, I was thinking. I absolutely DO NOT want to go to the Winter Formal, I already told you that. So what if Tim comes over and we watch a movie?" Julie asked Tami while she poured her cereal.
"Yeah sure, but your dad and I have to chaperone the dance so we will be out late," Tami responded. "And he cannot spent the night, just going to go ahead and put that out there."
"Shelley, you mind supervising?" Tami asked her sister who was still staying with them.
"Nope, not at all!" Shelley replied.
"Awesome!" Julie smiled and finished her cereal.
Later in the day, after Tami and Eric had left for the dance, there was a knock at the door. Julie jumped up to answer, knowing exactly who it was. She swung the door open, revealing a smiling Tim Riggins with a handful of snacks and a couple DVD cases.
"So what are we watching?" Tim asked with enthusiasm. "I've got Remember the Titians, The Blind Side, and Varsity Blues," Tim stated, looking at the DVDs in his hand.
"I was thinking more along the lines of The Notebook" Julie responded. Tim sighed with defeat as Julie smirked. "But, we might could watch one of your movies after."
Tim and Julie snuggled together on the couch and began watching The Notebook.
"Can you two behave yourselves? I'm going to my room," Shelley said, heading towards the guest bedroom she has claimed as her own. Both of them mumbled yes, highly engaged in the movie.
"Allie, that's a pretty name," Tim stated about halfway through the movie.
"Yeah, it is," Julie responded.
"Have you thought of any names?" Tim asked.
"Not really," Julie answered, moving her attention from the movie to Tim.
"Maybe we should come up with some," Tim suggested.
"Well, I like Allie. And I've always liked Sarah," Julie added. "Do you have any you like?"
"Rylie is pretty, and I like Sarah too,"
"I don't think we should decide on a name just yet, it's good to have some ideas but I don't want to pick out a name and it not suit her when she's born," Julie said.
Tami and Eric were performing the duty that every teacher dreads - chaperoning the Winter Formal. Almost every high school student in Dillon attended.
"Julie hasn't shown up yet," Madison, a cheerleader and JD McCoy's date, stated.
"Tim said they weren't coming," JD reported to the small group he and Madison were with.
"She was pissed at me when we were planning earlier this week, and said she wasn't coming," Lois added. "She's been different since she's been with Tim,"
"I think you're just jealous she's with Tim," Another girl chipped in.
"We'll Tim's been different too, at least since she got pregnant," JD added.
"Hasn't he turned down a bunch of college offers?" Lois asked.
"Yeah, he had a full ride to Arkansas State, but he turned it down," JD answered.
"I can't believe he would give that up to be with her," Lois stated.
Several hours later, towards the end of their second movie, Tami and Eric came home. It was roughly 11:30, and both Julie and Tim were asleep on the couch. Tim's head was laying on the armrest and his feet were propped on the other armrest, Julie was pressed up against him. The movie was still playing and their bowl of popcorn was carefully balanced between the back of the couch and Tim's side. Eric got the remote and turned off the TV, Tami took the bowl of popcorn into the kitchen and covered them up with a blanket.
"I know I said he couldn't stay, but I don't really want to wake them," Tami said.
"Let 'em be," Eric advised. Tami and Eric headed towards their bedroom. Tami stopped at the door to the guest bedroom and quietly knocked.
"Hey, we're home," She quietly said peeking her head into the room.
I hope you enjoyed this chapter, Tulie fluff with a little behind-the-back drama.
