Huey didn't know how long he sat there, waiting for B.O.Y.D to give him information on Violet, he was so into focusing on him that he didn't even notice his brother coming up behind him and placing an hand on his shoulder.

"Hue?" Dewey said.

Huey blinked and glanced behind him and nearly choked as he sucked in some air at the sight of his younger brother in his Grim Reaper get up.

"Dewey? What -? How -?" Huey asked, rocketing to his feet, almost knocking the still (unconscious?) B.O.Y.D over. Huey quickly grabbed him and sat him up right again before turning back to Dewey. "Mind telling me why you are dressed for a funeral?" He asked.

Dewey chuckled at that.

"Nice pun, bro. But, no, not dressed for one. I'm practically am one." Dewey told him.

Huey stared at him confused.

Dewey sighed.

"Long story short, I'm Death. The Grim Reaper, the whole eating of souls thing? Yeah." Dewey said in a rush. "But listen, you need to come with me cause -."

Suddenly a loud boom surrounded the lair of Darkwing Duck, and it made them stumble and fall on top of each other.

"Okay, where is that loud mouth, pathetic, excuse for a super hero?" Shouted someone from the side of the building that caved in.

Huey and Dewey looked and groaned together at the sight of Nega Duck in his usual villainy attire, and glaring around the building. His eyes landed on Huey who was slowly getting up from his feet, his inner 'Duke of making messes,' was starting to stir inside him again.

Whining, and begging to be let out.

"Not here." Huey told him firmly. He glanced over at Dewey who shrugged casually and started twirling his Scythe lazily, avoiding his older brothers eyes.

"Damn." Nege Duck snarled, he turned to leave but then froze at the huge whole in the wall and slowly turned back around to look at Huey. "Hey, don't I know you from somewhere?" He asked, squinting his eyes at him.

Huey glanced over at Dewey who smiled sheepishly back at him.

"Yeah! Yeah I do!" Nega Duck snarled and jumped down from the caved in wall and started towards them. "You are that little runt that is always hanging around Darkwing and that imbecile Launchpad!"

"N, No." Huey said one Nega Duck got up arm length to him. "Y,you are confusing me with, with my brother." He told him.

"Way to sell me out, bro." Dewey remarked sarcastically.

Nega Duck studied Huey as if he hadn't even heard Dewey's comment.

"Eh." Nega Duck replied with a shrug. "Whatever, you will do just fine." Nega Duck growled. He grabbed the front of Huey's shirt.

"Um. Little help, here, Dewey!" Huey shouted, as he wiggled against Nega Duck's grip. Nega Duck paused and glanced at him, then around the lair. "What? So he is here?" Nega Duck glanced around, his eyes totally missing the now black clad duck in front of him.

Huey groaned in frustration when he realized what was happening.

"You mean to tell me," Huey snarled, as Nega Duck paused and glanced down at him, confusion spattering his face, "that he can't see you?"

"Nerp." Dewey told him. He leaned on the tip of his Scythe with his elbows on its blade, casually. "Not if I don't want him too." Dewey added.

"Now, who's selling who out?" Huey snapped at him. "Help me!" He added, as Nega Duck shrugged then started walking away from Dewey.

"Sorry, bro. I can't." Dewey said, and his sheepish smile slowly turned into a grim expression. "I can't meddle in the affairs of the living, Hue. Only when it applies to my job description, and I done meddled into it once, if I go to far, I'd cease to exist and can't never go back to my old life." He explained. "Trust me, bro, I'm breaking a lot of rules just by coming here and coming to get you." He added.

"What? Why did you need to come get me?" Huey asked.

Nega Duck groaned and stopped walking.

"Get out of this, Huey, and I'll explain on the way to the hospital." Dewey told him.

Huey stared at him.

"Hospital?" He choked out.

"You'll need one if you don't -." Nega Duck began and suddenly punched Huey in his left eye. Dewey flinched as the impact made an echoing sound across the lair. "Shut up." He snarled, and Dewey forced himself to remain calm as Nega Duck went for Huey's other eye.

"Yeah. Violet, she needs you right now, bro." Dewey said, as Huey stilled after the blows to the face. Huey's heart raced.

Violet was in the hospital?

Why?

It couldn't be because -.

Another blow to Huey's nose caused him to howl in pain, and he felt blood start to drip down the front of his bill.

"Focus, Huebert!" Dewey ordered. He glared daggers at Nega Duck who was throwing his arm back for yet another blow to his face.

"Come on, Huebert. Let me out! Now!" Duke ordered inside his mind.

Huey closed his eyes, bracing himself for another blow, just as he and Duke merged together.

"OW!" Nega Duck squealed, and pulled his hand back.

Huey felt himself being dropped to the floor and he opened his eyes. He saw that Duke had chomped hard on his fist. Nega Duck's hand was practically soaked in blood now.

"You little brat!" Nega Duck snarled, and came at him again.

Huey inhaled slowly, closed his eyes again, and just let Duke take over. Images of Violet flashing through his mind, fueling him to be able to over come Duke's aggressiveness.

Dewey watched with interest as Huey fought Nega Duck. Punching, kicking him, and even managing to pin him down. All in one swift motion. Huey sat on top of Nega Duck's torso, and had his hands wrapped around Nega Duck's throat.

Nega Duck's eyes pop out of his head, and he was trying to gasp for air as he his own hands went around Huey's wrists to try and pry the red clad duck off of him.

"Look's like you'll be getting a new arrival then soon, Dewey." Huey snarled at his brother, not taking his eyes of Nega Duck's now red face.

Dewey bit his bottom bill. He hated seeing his older brother this way, but, this was the only way to get through to Huey, to help him come out of his shell. Lena had told him back when they were kids about this Duke of making a Mess that even Dewey never knew about until then. Dewey knew he was risking it, pushing Huey to his limit.

But Violet needed him.

He owed that much to Violet after the way he had treated her back when he was on the run from the law...

Suddenly, Nega Duke's choking noises stopped, so did his struggling, and finally he went limp. Huey slowly released his hands around Nega Duck's neck throat and slowly got up off him.

That was fun! Duke exclaimed once he and Huey switched back. Hope I get to have fun again, soon! Huebert!"

Huey scowled at his inner demon who only smiled back at him as he disappeared into the depths of his mind.

Huey blinked, then groaned, and rubbed his head before looking towards his brother who was staring at him with both a mixture of pride and concern.

"Huey? You with me?" He asked, he hadn't moved from leaning on his Scythe and was studying him.

"Yeah. I'm here." Huey snapped back.

He glanced over at B.O.Y.D who still didn't seem to be back to normal.

Dewey glanced towards Nega Duck's form.

"He dead?" Huey asked, a bit of fear in his voice.

"Just barely." Dewey said with a deep sigh. "Looks like I'll be taking him to the hospital too, not that he deserves it." He added, as he finally stopped leaning on his Scythe.

Huey nodded in agreement.

Being a cop, of course, Huey had killed before. But, this, somehow seemed different to him. He felt guilty. Was it because it had been personal? Set on him by Nega Duke to do him harm?

It's because deep down you enjoyed it? Duke answered for him.

Huey's left eye twitched.

Did he enjoy it?

"Come on, then," Dewey said, interrupting Huey's thoughts. Huey blinked again and glanced over at Dewey who had already hosted Nega Duck over his shoulder, and B.O.Y.D's stilled robot body in the other.

Huey walked up to him slowly.

"Um... Where should I?" Huey asked.

Dewey rolled his eyes.

"On my back, I guess." Dewey answered.

Huey nodded and climbed on his back.

"Hold on tight." Dewey said, and his Scythe glowed again.

Huey held on tightly to Dewey's neck as they all felt the invisible tug of the universe pulling them. Little did any of them know that B.O.Y.D had recorded the whole thing between Nega Duck and Huey and as the gleaming pair of eyes watched the footage over and over again, a satisfied smile slowly spread on their owners face.

Interesting. Akita thought. Very, Very interesting.
