Chapter 10: Reunion
Later, the gang climbed onto the top of Elsie's head so she can take them back to the mainland.
"Step lightly now kiddies. Mustn't terry. The herds I saw last night might have moved on by now. And if you're going to be seasick, let Aunt Elsie know. So she can duck."
"Are you sure you don't wanna stay?" Strongtooth asked. "You'll be safe with us. I think."
"Thanks Strongtooth. But we live in a whole different world. And we miss it." Said Chomper. "But we'll always be friends no matter where we are."
"Yeah Strongtooth. Always." Said Cera. "And besides, I know we'll meet again someday."
Just then, Elsie began to move away from the island.
"Goodbye Strongtooth. And thanks for everything." Littlefoot said to him.
"Goodbye!" Strongtooth shouted as he and his parents waved their arms goodbye.
And with the goodbyes finished, Elsie began to swim away.
On the way back, Elsie began to talk about how she met the herds last night.
"So there I was, just crusing along minding my own bisnos. Until I spotted this very old male Longneck walking along the beach."
"That's my grandpa." Said Littlefoot.
"Oh. Is he now? So that's where you get your good looks." Elsie said which got the gang to laugh. Except Cera who was not feeling good. "Oh I was right taken I was. If only he had flippers we'd make quite a pare swimming around in the sea."
"Oh I hate the sea." Said Cera.
"Do you deary? Now that's a shame. Because it's quite the loveliest place to live."
The grown-ups had found a place that resembles The Great Valley as it had lots of green food and Scaly Swimmers for the Lea-eaters and Two-claws. But it wasn't the same without the Gang of Seven.
"So what if we found enough food to last us all for years?" Topps asked. "Who cares? If we don't have our kids, what's the point?"
"For once I have to agree with you." Said Grandpa.
"We've got to have fate." Said Grandma. "I know the children will find us somehow."
"What do you expect them to do? Rise out of the Big Water?" Topps asked.
However, as Bowser looked at the Big Water,
"Why, that's exactly what they're going to do."
The moment he said that, everyone turned to the Big Water. They saw Elsie swimming over with the gang calling out for their families.
"Ruby?" Oliver asked.
"Cera? Cera? Cera!" Topps shouted happily.
"We're now. Thank goodness." Elsie said as she lowered her head so the gang can get off her.
Cera was so happy that she really kissed the gound. Just as Topps walked over and nuzzled her.
"Cera."
Ducky and Spike ran to their mother and father who both give a hug to their long lost kids. Ruby ran to her parents and twin sisters who all gave her a worm hug. Petrie flew to his mothers arms as she gave him a hug. Littlefoot ran to his grandparents which Grandma then lifted him up onto Grandpa's head. Chomper ran to Bowser who picked him up and gave him a hug.
Later, as the Bright Circle began to set, everyone turned to Elsie and said goodbye to her.
"Goodbye and thank you so much." Said Grandpa.
"You're welcome. I shale stop by soon for a chat shale I? Ta ta." She said as she dived back into the water.
"We're sorry for all the trouble we caused Grandpa." Said Littlefoot. "We just wanted to find enough food so the herds can stay together."
"And I think you succeeded."
"Did you hear that? We succeeded." Said Chomper.
"If we haven't been looking for you children, we would have never found this beautiful place." Said Oliver.
"There's enough green food and Scaly Swimmers here for everyone." Said Raph. "At least until The Great Valley is green again the Scaly Swimmers there are fully grown."
"We no have to split up?" Petrie asked.
"We sure don't." Said his mother
The gang cheered. They have once again proven against the odds to keep the herds together.
"Just as long as we don't have to take anymore rides on Elsie." Said Cera.
"Come on. Let's play in the clear water." Said Littlefoot.
With that said, the gang ran to the water and began a game of Swimmer Splasher. They will indeed have a good time here until The Great Valley is back to normal.
As many days passed. The Plants in The Great Valley began to grow back. Just as the Scaly Swimmer egg hatched and it didn't take too long for them to grow. Until at last, all the plants were back and the Scaly Swimmers were fully grown. Alouing the herds to return to The Great Valley. Proving to be the end of another adventure for the gang as they walked up onto a cliff before joining their families down below.
However, the gang knew that this wasn't the end. More adventures still awaited them in the future.
And with that, The Mysterious Island has come to a conclusion. And once again, 10 chapters long.
The Secret of Saurus Rock is next. So stay tooned.
