"I take it she's accepted your gift then", she smiled at Kara, motioning to Lena's necklace.
"Yes, she has. We've just completed the bond … from both sides", she added, smiling fondly at Lena who blushed slightly.
Eliza embraced both of them, "Congratulations, my dears. Now come back in and tell the others. They've been asking for you."
And so Kara and Lena stepped back inside, feeling more connected than ever before and glorying in this new connectedness.
When the others heard them approach, Mon-El was the first to step forward and embrace his girlfriend, giving her a kiss as they parted.
"Congrats, my love!" he said before turning to Lena and giving her a hug too.
"And congratulations to you too. Welcome to the family – again!" he smiled as he gave her hand a squeeze.
Lena blushed but beamed, "Thank you, Mon-El."
"Well, so you've become part of this family tonight", Alex said, gesturing around the room at large, "and something more too."
And the director also gave Lena a hug but when she pulled back, Alex found that Lena looked happy but a bit confused as well.
"Kara, don't tell me you didn't tell her", Alex said, huffing at her sister.
