Wishing you a very merry Christmas

Chapter Ten

Captain Lee Crane, Nelson and the pilots were discussing the options on how to go about getting on the island without being seen.

"All pilots for the flying subs will land a quarter of a miles with using your rowboats with getting on the island. As compared to the flyer they will be able to fly over the compound for where the hostages are being held." Nelson said to them and the marines listening standing.

Colonel James Reeves was very much interested in how Nelson was in charge of his submarine and with everyone listening with trying to not make any mistakes. "Colonel Reeves will explain the situation overall to his marines." Nelson replied with the latest Intel on the island.

"Gentlemen the latest Intel given to me by Admiral Nelson tells us that the terrorists have set up additional sights in order to be watching for anyone that will be trying to get onto the island. The flying sub crews will be able to disable some of them letting most or all of us on the island. This is not going to be a picnic with Christmas tomorrow. I am truly sorry about it gentlemen. Admiral Nelson is there anything else we should know about?" He asked as he looks over at Captain Lee Crane for a moment.

"Nothing else. I think it's enough for now to adjust to everyone. Take off for the flying subs and flyer is one hour." He will quipped with his words.

After the meeting was over. Admiral Nelson had gone to his quarters having been told that Commander RoseMarie Crane needed to speak with him. He walked in with Rosemarie reading the file she brought up on the project in Texas. "Why didn't you knock Commander Crane?" He joked not liking the way she sat down in his chair...

"How did the briefing go Admiral Nelson?" She needed to ask with getting up to give him the file.

"It went well Commander. I assume this has something to do with what Darien had for you on the project chair?" He asked with taking the file to sit down at his desk.

"Yeah it does. Read at your leisure since the mission is going to be taking off soon." She replied...

"I am going to read this now since it's obvious you're going to be asking for additional funds Commander. You have it with another $20 million dollars donated from the Institute and additional funds from other sources. What these people are looking for are results with the tests on the chair and the safety of the pilots to be sitting in the chair."

"Darien had said that the new changes is very sound and there shouldn't be any trouble with the chair and breaking into the vortex." Commander Crane says with believing in the alien Darien and his scientists.

"I need to thank Darien when he calls again or when he plans on coming back to Earth." Nelson responded...

An hour later everyone was getting ready to disembark. Captain Lee Crane and Kowalski will be sitting in the pilot seats of the flyer. Colonel James Reeves was expecting to see Commander Rosemarie Crane to see her husband off. But that wasn't the case as she watching everyone take off from the Control room with Commander Morton to be flying FS-1 as with Patterson FS-2 and Ron Hanson FS-3 all experience pilots.

She was watching from behind the radar screen with ensign James Elroy watching the screen with seeing the three Flying Subs taking off while the flyer was waiting for clearance. Colonel James Reeves sitting behind Captain Crane was waiting for the flyer to take off waiting for the fuel system to reach 100%. A moment later on the panel the light had turned green indicating with Crane contacting communications that they were ready to take off.

Captain Lee Crane advised everyone inside with four marines in the back to hold on with the full range of power from the flyer. Holding his breath. Colonel Reeves let it out with Crane telling everyone they will be at mach ten in a few moments. Even though how fast it was he had no idea.

Moments later they had hit the atmosphere before leveling down towards the directions of the island. Crane and Kowalski had to make a slight change in the course as the control panel had given them a extra power boost added with the changes.

"The island is on screen Captain Crane." Kowalski announced with telling him on the radar screen.

Lee Crane made the corrections with the course. While the three flying subs landed on the water a quarter of a mile from the island.

Meanwhile at the compound the doctors inside the cell were told to stand back with their food to be delivered once again. Standing back with three three guards watching the villager delivering the trays. Doctor Ben Wilson moved away with Doctor Auriel Huri watched the window from the other side to see how many others were around. He only noticed three others making it easy later hopefully to break away.

Hussah Beirut sitting in his makeshift office were talking with his associate Samuels asking on whether the hostages were staying out of trouble.

"Doctor Wilson hasn't said a word to anyone let alone his associates. He's not going to help us Hussah and keeping them here is not doing any good for now." He stated with venom in his tone and persona.

"I told you before that I am not going to do anything right now until I hear from the alliance on whether they will accept our terms. They are giving us another week before anything happens."

"I don't like this at all Hussah." He replied before Hussah had gotten up with slapping his second-in-command.

"You will like it or I will place you into a cell like the others. Do I make myself clear Samuels?"

"Very clear." As he walks away from him to go outside for some air even though hot and humid.
