Draco P.O.V
The holidays are over and we are going back to Hogwarts. I can't wait to see Ava, me and the boys haven't heard from her all summer. Snape said it was too dangerous to send her any letters but he assured us that she was safe, I mean we knew she was safe and that, but I don't like that idea of her being with Weasley all summer. I would hate to think how he's been like with her.
I'm just on the platform at the minute, looking around for Ava. I saw Potter, Weasley and Ganger earlier and she wasn't with them, but before I could ask where she was, I lost them in the crowd. Just then a family moves out of the way and I see her standing there looking around.
She spots me stood there and the biggest smile appears on her face. Before I could say anything, she rushes over to me and hugs me tight.
"Missed me that much, have you?" I ask, hugging her back. She nodded into my chest. "I've missed you too" I move a little and it makes Ava flinch. "What's wrong?"
"Something fit my head" she pulls away from me and looks at my badge, then me. "You're a Prefect?"
"Of course. Only the best of the best are picked to be Prefects."
"Well done, Draco" she says smiling. "I'm happy for you."
"Thank you. I wonder who the other Prefect is though?"
"Look at me."
I look at her and frown. "Why?"
"Because now you're looking at the other Prefect."
"Wait really?"
She nods and pulls out her badge. This is perfect, it means we get to spend more time together. "Well done, A."
"Thank you. I was going to tell you but then I remembered that I couldn't send you any letters, which sucked."
I was about to say something but someone cut me off. "Ava Snape."
"I wish people wouldn't say my full name, it makes me feel like I'm in trouble with my dad."
She around and I see Blaise, Crabbe and Goyle walking over to us. Ava gives them a hug the second they reach her.
"Oh look" Blaise says, pointing to our badges, "looks like being daddy's little princess and Snape little favourite has its perks."
"Not a princess" Ava groans.
"Daddy's little angel then."
"Little devil is more like it" I whisper in her ear, making makes her shiver. She looks at me, and I wink at her. She gives me a little smile, then quickly looks away with red cheeks.
Me and Ava are sitting in the Prefect's compartment with all the other Prefect's, and I'm really not surprised to see Granger here, but what did surprise me though, was seeing Weasley here too. I thought Potter would have been made Prefect.
They both gave me a nasty look as I sat down, but then they saw Ava and smiled, even Weasley. I'll ask her later what that was all about since I thought they weren't friends.
We sit here and listen to what we have to do. We mainly need to keep the little kids under control and show them around the castle. We also need to help anymore from our house if they need help with anything, but I'm secretly hoping that that doesn't happen. We can always give out detentions, so that's cool.
The meeting is over and we are walking back to the compartment but I want to talk to Ava before we get there, so I push her into an empty compartment and lock the door behind me.
"What you doing?" she frowns.
"What was that all about with you Granger and Weasley?"
"What you mean?"
"You all smiled at each other, I thought you wasn't friends with them."
"I wasn't at first, but me and Ron had a little heart to heart chat over the summer and sorted everything out."
"So you're friends with them now then?" I ask, a little annoyed. I was really hoping that she wouldn't be friends with them. I mean, don't get me wrong, I like that she's making friends, but I just wish it wasn't with them.
"I'm friends with Hermione, but I'm not sure about Ron. We never said if we were friends or not, but I'm just glad he's stopped being a jerk towards me."
"And Granger, can you trust her again?"
"I'm not sure, but I've got to try. I've missed her and wanted her back in my life. We also had a little heart to heart chat and talked everything out."
"What was it like being with them?" I ask.
"Horrible at first. I didn't want to be around any of them, mainly because Ron would call me names when he got the chance. Then one day everything just got too much and I ended up crying, he came into my room and admitted that he was a jerk and said sorry for everything he had said and done. He became a lot nicer after that."
Weasley is such a prick. How dare he make Ava cry!
I look at her and just pull her into a hug. "I hate that you went though all of that, but I'm glad things got better for you."
"Me too. I also got to see my dad a few times as well, so that made me feel better."
"You really are such a daddy's girl, aren't you?"
"I really am" we just stand there for a while when I hear Ava say. "I wonder if I could give you a detention if you be naughty."
I pull away and looks at her. "Excuse me young lady, but I'm a Prefect, you can't give me detention."
"I can try."
"You give me a detention and I'll give you one back."
"I won't do it."
"Then I'll tell your father."
She playfully glares at me. "You win this round."
I laugh a little. "You know, I still get to give you a command" I say smirking.
"Aww, I was hoping you would have forgotten about that."
"I would never forget about something like that."
She looks at me. "But are you forgetting that I also get to give you a command?"
I sigh. "No I haven't forgotten."
"Hmm" she says, pretending to think. "I wonder what command I could give you."
"I've got one for you."
"Which is?"
"I command you to - to, goonadatewithme" Oh great. Why did I need to say it like that, now she's not going to understand what I said.
"Yeah" she says slowly. "I have no idea what you just said."
I knew it. I clear my throat and say it more clearly. "I command you to go on a date with me."
She looks at me, and I can see the excitement in her eyes. "I accept your command."
"I will try and make it fun."
"As long as I'm with you, then I don't care what we do."
I smile at her, then an idea pops in my head. "I know what we can do, but you will have to wait until tonight to find out what it is."
"Aww, but I can't wait that long" she moans.
"Tough, I need to sort things out first, so you're just going to have to wait."
"Fine, I'll wait."
"It will be worth it, trust me."
"I trust you."
"Thank you" I say smiling. "I trust you too."
Just then we someone saying that we will be arriving at Hogwarts soon. "Come on, we should get back to the boys and sort out our things" I say. She nods and we leave the compartment.
Me and the boys are sitting at the Slytherin table whilst Ava has gone to see her father so she can tell him what happened with her, Weasley and Granger. I look at the Gryffindor table and see them sat there talking, well, Weasley and Ganger are, Potter is sat there with a face like a smacked arse.
Just then I see Ava walk into the Great Hall with her father. He says something to her which makes her nod, then she walks over to us and sits down next to me. I was about to say something but stopped when Dumbledore got to his feet.
"Can I have your attention please" we look at him.
"Now, we have two changes in staffing this year, we are please to welcome back Professor Grubly Plank, who will be taking Care of Magical Creatures while Professor Hagrid is away on temporary leave. I would also like to introduce our new Defence Against Dark Art teacher, Delores Umbridge, good luck, Professor. Now as usual, Mr Filch has asked me to remind -"
"Hem, hem" Umbridge cuts him off. It's only when she stands up that I get a good look at her. "I've seen her before" I whisper to Ava and the boys. "She works for Fudge at the Ministry of Magic."
"I bet you anything that she's going to make our Defence Against Dark Art classes boring" Ava whisper.
"What makes you say that?" Blaise whispers.
"Because she's not a teacher, and Fudge has put her here for a reason."
"What reason could that be?" Crabbe frowns.
"I dunno, probably to make sure that people still believe that he's not back."
"Why would he do that for?" Goyle asks.
"Because he's scared and doesn't want to admit that he's back. It's just easier to pretend that everything is still perfect, but he really needs to get his head out of his arse soon though, or we will all be in trouble" Ava says.
We look at her. "Why?"
"Because he's to focused on making out that Harry is a lying. He's to focused on what we are doing at school, when he should be focused on where he is and what he's up to."
"Why?" Blaise asks.
"Because Voldemort could take over the Ministry if Fudge isn't careful."
"Do you think he would do that?" I whisper.
Ava looks at me. "Yeah, I mean it is him after all. He will do anything to get more power. I bet the first thing he will get control of are the Dementors."
"What makes you say that?"
"Because he's going to want his old Death Eater out of Azkaban, isn't he? His most loyal ones are in there, he's going to want them by his side."
"I never thought about that" I mutter, looking at my plate. Then I remember that my auntie, Bellatrix, is one of his most loyal Death Eaters. She's a totally psycho and hurts people for fun.
Great, now I'm worried she's going to find out about Ava, and how she could hurt her to get to me. How she could hurt her to make me do some thing I don't want to do. My father is already hinting that my future lies with the Death Eater, and I've got a feel that I won't even have a say in the matter and that scares the shit out me.
"Draco" I hear Ava says, snapping me out of my thought. I blink and look at her. "Where did you wonder off to?"
"Nowhere, I was just thinking about what you said."
"Oh" she looks at me. "Ohhhh" she must have just realised what I was on about. I nod and she holds my hand. "I'm here, you know, if you ever want to talk."
"I know you are" I say smiling. I thought she was going to let of my hand, but she doesn't. I look at the boys only to find them already looking at us. They all wink when they see me looking at them. I roll my eyes, but smile.
After the feast had ended, Ava and they boys went to leave the Great Hall but I stopped Ava by grabbing her arm. She looks at me and frowns. "What?"
"We are supposed to show the first years where to go, remember?"
"Oh right. I forgot about that" she looks at the boys. "We will see ya later."
"Ok, good bye, love birds" Blaise says smirking. I give him a 'shut up' look, whilst Ava blushes.
"Oh look, little Ava is blushing, bless" Crabbe teased.
"I'm not" she says, trying to hide her cheeks with her hair.
"Yes you are" I say grinning. "You can try and hide it, but we can still see."
"Oh shut up" the boys laugh before walking off.
We showed the first years were the common room was and where they would be sleeping, and now we are just sitting in front of the fire in the common room.
"Ava" she looks at me. "It's time for our date."
"Ok, give me 10 minutes to get changed."
"You already look nice."
"I don't want to go in my school clothes though."
"Ok, but if you're not back down here in 10 minutes, then you own me a kiss" I say smirking.
"Ok, see ya in 15."
"I said 10."
"I know you did" she smiled, before rushing off upstairs. I sit there smiling. Wait? Does that mean she wants to kiss me? God, I hope so.
Just then she rushes back into the common room and she looks beautiful. She's wearing light blue jeans and a jumper with a dream catcher on. "How long was I?" she asks.
I check my watch. "8 minutes."
"Aww, looks like no kisses for you then."
"I will get one soon."
"Oh will you now."
"Yeah, I will."
"Only if you're lucky."
"I'm very lucky."
"Do I look ok?" she asks, looking down at her clothes.
"Yes, you look beautiful" I say, making her look up. I smirk when I see her blushing. I stand up and realise that I'm still in my school clothes.
I look at her. "I'll be back on 10 minutes" she nods and I rush off up stairs. I walk into my room and find the boys are still awake. I walk over to my wardrobe and start looking through it.
"What are you doing?" Golye asks.
"Trying to find something to wear."
"Why?" Crabbe asks.
"Because I have a date with Ava."
"No way" Blaise gasps. "You actually asked her?"
"Well, I kind of commanded it" I say, still looking through the wardrobe. What the hell can I wear?
"You did? But I thought you wasn't going to use it for that?"
"I wasn't, but I really wanted to go on a date with her, so I thought I would use it" I pull out a suit and show them. "What do you think?"
"A suit for a school date?"
"Too much?" I ask.
"Too much" they agree.
"Can you help me?" I ask, throwing the suit on the bed.
"Aww, I never thought I would see Draco Malfoy panicking over what to wear for a date" Blaise says grinning.
"Yeah, you're normally laid back" Crabbe says.
"I know, but she made an effort and she looks lovely, so I want to make an effort."
They stand up and start helping me. Ughh! Why is this so hard?
"Just wear some jeans and a top" Crabbe says.
"But what top with what jeans?"
"How about these blue jean with this white, plain but simple" Blaise says.
"I want to look nice though."
"Try it on and we will tell you" Goyle says. I nod and head to the bathroom.
I get changed and walk out, they look at me. "Yeah nice, but maybe wear this black blazer with it" Blaise says, handing it to me.
I take it from him and out it on. "Well?"
"Yeah, lovely" Crabbe says.
"I think she will like it" Goyle says smiling.
"How my hair?" I ask, messing with it.
Blaise smacks my hands away. "It's fine. Now go and get your girl, you have kept her waiting long enough."
I look at my watch and see that I've been gone for 15 minutes. "Right ok, well, bye then."
"Bye" Crabbe and Golye says, whilst Blaise says "enjoy your time alone."
"We will" I say, walking out of the room, down the stairs and into the common room. I look and see Ava sitting on the chairs. "What do you think?" I ask, making her jump. I smirk as she turned around. She rolls her eyes and looks at me up and down.
"Do I look ok?" I ask.
She nods. "Yes, you look very nice."
"Thank you" I says smiling. "So, is my lady ready to go?"
"I'm ready" she says blushing a little.
We make it to the 7th floor and I stand in front of the wall and close my eyes and think about that I want to turn the room of requirement in to.
"Draco" Ava says. I open my eyes and see that a door as appear. I look at her. "Open it then."
She nods and pushes open the door and we walk in. There's a big black screen and one chair that's big enough for both of us to sit on. There's also a table filled with popcorn, sweets and fizzy pop.
"It's a mini cinema" Ava says smiling.
"I know that you have always wanted to go to the cinema, so I asked Grange what a cinema was and she told me."
"You talked to Hermione about this?"
"Yes, I wanted to make it special for you."
"You have" she says, giving me a hug.
"I'm glad you like it" I say, hugging her back.
"I love it" she pulls away and looks at me. "What are you watching?"
"Anything you want, I don't mind what you pick."
"Erm - how about Casper the friendly ghost."
"I've never heard of that, then again, it's Muggle, so of course I haven't heard of it before."
Ava smiles at me. "It's a good film, I think you will like it."
"Ok, if that's what you want to watch, then that's what we will watch."
She thinks about the film and it appears on the screen. We pick our sweets and pop and sit down. The lights go off and the film starts playing. We have been watching the film for a while and I'm enjoying it. I glance at Ava and she's leaning forward. I really want to put my arm around her.
"Ava" she looks at me. "Can I put my arm around you?"
"Why? Are you scared of Casper the friendly ghost?" I rise my eyebrow at her, which makes her laugh.
"I just want to hold you, that's all" she smiles at me and moves closer to me. I put my arm around her and she rests her head on my chest. I could get used to this. The film has just finished and Ava is still in my arms. "Ava?"
"Yeah" she mumbles.
"Nothing, I was just checking that you were still awake."
"I almost fell asleep but I manage to stay awake. What did you think of the film?"
"It was good, weird, but good."
"Do you want to watch another one?"
"What did you have in mind?"
"Dunno, maybe you could pick on this time."
"I don't know any films though."
She pulls away and looks at me. "You have never watched a film before tonight?"
"Not really, with a father like mine, I kind of missed out on things."
"I can see why, I mean the way he thinks about Muggle-Borns is just -" she sighs.
"I know" I mutter, knowing what she was going to say.
She looks at me. "Have you ever been to a Muggle town?"
"No, I've stayed in the wizarding world all my life."
"Wouldn't you like too?"
"I don't know" I shrug. "What is in a Muggle town anyway?"
"Houses, parks, swimming baths, different shops, canals."
"What's canals?"
"It's easier to show you" she pulls out her wand and waves it and a magazine appears. She hands it me and I look through it.
"You can walk for miles on a canal, they all connect to different towns. You could start at one town and just keep walking and end up in another town. When I was little, me and dad would just walk along the canals, we would just keep walking and see where we ended up, then he would Apparate us home. I've lost count on how many times we ended up somewhere we didn't know, but I enjoyed it, it was peaceful. Dad would write a list of things for me to find, you know like different coloured flowers, I would always get excited when I find something that was on the list, although something I think dad magically made them appear just so I wouldn't be upset when I couldn't find it" Ava says.
"That sounds nice."
"It was, it was just me and dad, and I loved it."
I look at her. "You really a daddy's girl, aren't you?"
"Of course I am. He's my rock. I dunno what I would do without him" she says smiling.
I smile back. "Ok, so what's a park?"
"It's a play area for kids, and adults really, it's got slides, swings, roundabouts and climbing frames."
"Yeah, I have no idea what they are" I say and she laughs a little.
She looks around. "Do you think if we leave and I think about a park, this room will change into one?"
"Dunno" I grab her hand, "but lets try" she smiles and we stand up and leave the room. I close the door behind us and it disappears. Ava closes her eyes and I stand there and wait for a door to appear. I wasn't waiting for long when I saw a different door appear.
"Ava" I say a little loud, and it makes her jump. I snigger under my breath. She opens her eyes and glares at me. "Sorry, but it was too good of an opportunity to miss."
She rolls her eyes and looks at the door, then at me. "Moment of truth" she pushes out the door and we walk in. I look around and things I've never seen before.
"It worked" Ava says excitedly. "It actually worked" she looks at me ginning. "I love this room."
I smile at her. I love seeing her happy. "What's that?" I ask, pointing to whatever it is.
"That's a roundabout. You sit on it and push your feet on the floor and you spin around" she looks at me. "Do you want to have a go?"
"Yeah sure, it actually sounds fun."
"It is."
We walk over there and sit down. Ava pushes her feet on the floor and we start moving around. "Fast or slow?" she asks.
"Slow, then once I get used it, you can go faster" she snorts a little. I push her playfully. "You're such a perv, Ava."
"I'm not, it's just the way you said it, makes it sound like -"
"I know what it sounds like" I cut her off, "but I didn't mean it that way, so you're a perv for thinking of it that way."
"I bet you only said it that way to make me think that."
"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't" I smirked.
She rolls her eye, before looking at me. "So, what do you think so far?"
"It's fun, I can see why little children like this."
"I still can't believe that you have never been to a park" she says, going a little faster.
"I know, I would have loved to come to one of these when I was little" she goes a little faster, then she stops. I look at her. "Why did you stop?"
"I don't like going fast. I like going nice and slow" I couldn't help but snort a little. She smirked at me. "Who's the perv now?"
"I bet you only said it like that to make me think of it that way."
"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't."
I roll my eyes, and look around and spot something that I wouldn't mind trying out. "What's that?" I ask, pointing to it.
"That's a slide."
"What do you do?"
"You climb up the steps, sit on the top and just slide down."
"Ok, lets go" I say grabbing her hand and dragging her over there. I look and see two slides. "Wanna race?" we ask at the same time. We look at each other and start laughing.
"Winner wins a command?" she asks.
"You're on" I look at her. "On the count of three" she nods. "1, 2, 3."
We start climbing the steps and I see that we are neck and neck. We reach the top of the slide at the same time. I quickly sit and slide down, but somewhere, Ava reaches the bottom before me.
"Yes!" she cheers. "Winner!" she looks at me and makes a L with her fingers and puts it to her forehead. "Loser!"
"Tut" I say, gently smacking her hand away from her forehead. "I will win a command tonight."
"Oh yeah! And how are you going to do that?"
"There's still that thingy over there" I say, pointing to it. Ava turns around and looks to what I'm pointing at.
"That's a climbing frame" she says, turning back around. "Wanna race to the top?"
"Yeah, on the count of three" she nods. "1, 2, 3" I say quickly, but Ava must have known what I was going to do and started climbing at the same time as me.
To say I've never done this before, I'm actually kinda good. I reach the top before her, but she doesn't notice. I clear my throat and Ava looks up and I smirked at her. "Yeah well, I've never been good a climbing" she huffs.
I laugh. "Who knew that Miss Snape was a sore loser."
"I'm not" she snaps, as she climbs down. That just makes me laugh more. I jump down and land in front of her. She rolls her eyes. "Now you're just showing off."
I smirk at her. "I told you I would win a command" I look around and see that still one thing that we haven't been on. "You want to go on that thing?"
"That's call a swing."
"Whoever can swing that heights wins."
"You're on" she grabs my hand and we walk over there and sit down.
"Erm, how do I swing?" I ask.
"You just swing your legs back and forth and you will start moving" I no and do what she's just said and I start moving. I look at Ava and see that she's swing slowly with a smile on her face.
"You like the swings?"
She looks at me. "Yeah, it's my favourite thing at the park. What's yours?"
"I would probably say the climbing frame, since I won my command on that one."
"I'm going to win this one" we start swinging fast, and damn it, she going higher than me. She looks at me and smirks. "Told you."
I roll my eyes and sit there in a mood. I really wanted to win that command. "I command you to be happy" I hear Ava say. I look at her and smile. "That's better" she says smiling.
"We have command each" I say.
"Yeah, I wonder what we can command each other."
"I've got one, for you anyway."
"What's that" I get off the swing and walk over to her and hold out my hand and she takes it and stands up.
"I command you to tell me the truth."
"The truth about what?"
"Do you like me? More than a friend I mean."
"Yes" she says straight away, although she looked a little shocked that she answer so quickly. I couldn't help but chuckle a little.
She looks at me with a little blush on her cheeks. "I command you to tell me the truth" I nod. "Do you like me back?"
"Of course I do."
"You do?"
"I do" I say, taking a step closer to her. "Can I kiss you?" I whisper and I see her cheeks blush a little deeper. She nods and I bent down a little since she's smaller than I am and gentle push my lips to hers. I frown when was doesn't kiss me back, I was about to pull away so I could ask her what's wrong, but stop when I feel her pull me closer to her and finally kiss me back.
We pull apart after a while. "Butterflies" Ava whispers breathlessly.
"What about them?"
"I felt butterflies, I didn't feel that with Kr -" she stops herself from talking and looks down at the floor. So she did kiss him. I can't really be mad at her though, I mean they were pretty close, so I expect them to kiss eventually. It's just hard knowing that they actually did kiss, because up until now, I've only guessed.
I put my hand on her chin and make her look at me. "It's ok, don't feel bad for kissing him. You are allowed to kiss other people, you know. Well not now, not now you're mine."
"I'm yours, am I?"
"If you want to be."
"Is this your way of asking me to be your girlfriend?"
"Yeah" I mutter. "Yeah, I guess it is."
She laughs a little. "I would love to be yours."
"Yeah?" I ask.
"Yeah" she confirms, before going onto her tiptoes and pulling me into a kiss that I gladly accept.
I pull away and look at her. "Did - did you do anything else with him?"
She shakes her head. "No, just kissed him. Have you do anything like that?"
I shake my head. "No, I've only kissed someone."
"Who have you kissed?"
"My date from the Yule Ball."
"You kissed her?"
"Well, she kissed me actually, I -"
"You don't have to explain" she smiled.
I nod and put my hands on her shoulders and she looks at me. "Do you want to stay here for the night?" "
"In the playground?"
"No, I will changed it into something else."
"Just to sleep though, right? Nothing else."
"What? No! No, I wasn't saying it for that. I just wanted to sleep with you" I look at her. "No wait, I didn't mean it that way, I just meant sleep, you know, as in normal sleep."
She laughs. "I knew what you meant."
"Why didn't you stop me talking then?"
"Because you're cute when you babble on."
"Aren't I cute normally?"
"Yes, and it's annoying."
I laugh little. "Why is it annoying?"
"Because every girl fancies you and it's annoying the way they look at you."
"I haven't notices" she rises his eyebrow at me. "Ok fine, maybe I have notices, but I've only got eyes for you."
She smiled at me. "I've only got eyes for you too."
"So, can we spend the night in here, just to sleep, nothing else."
"Yes, I would like to spend the night with you."
We leave the room and I quickly turn it into a small room. Ava opens the door and looks around. "I can change it into two single bed, if you want" I say.
"No, this is fine."
We walk over to the bed and take our shoes off and get into bed. I look at Ava and she's just looking at the ceiling. I look up and see that it looks like the night sky. Ava looks at me and smiles. I smile back and warp my arm around her and she lies her head on my chest. After 10 minutes of just lying there, we ended up falling asleep.
