In front of a mansion was a grave. It had a name inscribed on the obelisk tombstone in hieroglyphs, English, and Arabic. "Manu," Ryo cried, hugging the tombstone. "Big brother, long time no see!" said a boy's voice from the obelisk tombstone. Ryo let go of the tombstone and a ghostly figure of an elf boy appeared in front of the tombstone. The boy looked almost just like Ion except the elf boy had braided locks and had yellow eyes. He was also wearing a sleeveless tunic. I assumed that the ghost elf boy was Manu. I wondered how he died. "It's an honor to meet you," I said to the ghost boy, coming up to him. "Ryo, is she one of your friends?" Manu asked, referring to me. "Yes, she's on a quest to restore the tomb of King Tutankhamen," Ryo said. "I'm Kaede," I said. The ghost boy introduced himself. He was Manu Lufti. He died from Malaria at the age of 9. "The rich man, Maximilian is planning on destroying my grave. He can summon spirits, too," Manu said. That got Sheena's attention. "I can summon spirits, too," she said. "Great. Now you can have a summon spirit battle. Please win for me," Manu said to Sheena. "I will," Sheena said. She was confident. We went to the entrance and I rang the doorbell. "Who is it?" asked a voice behind the door. "I'm Kaede and please let us in," I said. The door opened and there was a dwarf opening the door. He had almond eyes and a leopard pelt. Wearing a leopard pelt is the sign of wealth in the ancient Egyptian times. "Wow, uh, Kaede. You've got a lot of friends," the dwarf said. "And who might you be?" Jade asked the dwarf. "I'm Maximilian Roberts and I own this mansion. Everyone, come on in," smiled the dwarf. The mansion sure was big. Maximilian even invited us to a sparkling tea party. "Sure," Natalia, Anise, and I said, pleased. My party, Ion, Mieu, Tenebrae, and Maximilian sat down. Everyone but Maximilian freaked out when we saw the teacup pour sparkling tea into my cup. "Calm down, everyone. They're just ghosts," Maximilian said. After I had a sip, Anise told him that she wanted to marry him. He laughed. "I'm sorry. I'm too old for you," he said. Anise booed him. "Anyway, Mr. Roberts. Thank you for the sparkling tea. I loved carbonated drinks so much I got addicted to them," I said. He laughed again. I sighed and rolled my eyes. "It's not funny," I said. "Yeah, you're being rude, laughing at someone else's problems," Natalia scolded Maximilian. "So sorry," Maximilian smiled, twisting his mustache. "I added my little brother's grave is in front of the mansion," Ryo said to Maximilian. "I've forgotten to destroy it. I must pulverize it," Maximilian said. Ryo was drinking. When he heard what Maximilian said, he did a spit take and hopped up on the table. He was furious. "You can't get rid of my little brother's grave just because you want to! You shouldn't destroy anyone's grave, period!" Ryo shouted. "Well, I have to. It's in the way," Maximilian said. That only made Ryo angrier. He was angry enough to pull out his twin axes and strike at the dwarf. Before Maximilian got a chance to get hit, Ryo was grabbed by ghosts. A lot of them. My entire party and anyone else who was invited to the tea party (like Ion) were trying to help Ryo get out the ectoplasmic restraints. Then Maximilian ordered everyone to be grabbed by a giant ghost hand and thrown out the door. "Away with you, grave huggers!" Maximilian shouted. He slammed the door. Hard! "Damn it," Lloyd cried. Then suddenly an idea hit Jade right in the head. "I have an idea. Who you going to call?" Jade said. "Ghost busters?" I guessed. "Yes," Jade said, pushing up his glasses. "But how are you going to do it?" Anise asked. "Easy. All we need is a vacuum cleaner," Jade said. "You can probably suck the ghosts in," Aizriel said. Jade came up to the Albiore II and Noelle let down the staircase. Jade went in and brought out the vacuum cleaner. He knocked on the front door on the mansion. "What do you want?!" cried Maximilian. "I assume you have a problematic ghost infestation and-" Jade said, but Maximilian interrupted him. "My ghosts keep me company!" Maximilian said angrily and slammed the door right in Jade's face. "Colonel, I have an idea," Tear said to Jade. She got dressed in a maid uniform and her hair was up in a bun-like ponytail. "Wow, Tear. You look awfully cute in that maid uniform," Zelos said. Tear ignored him and grabbed me by the wrist. "W-wait, Tear. What are you doing?" I said as she pulled me to the back of the mansion, where she found a sign that says "Maids only". "Kaede, I need you to be my weapon," Tear said. "But what should I do?" I asked. She saw a pomegranate tree. "Hide behind that tree and follow me if I go in. If I get attacked, help me," Tear instructed me. "Gotcha," I said. I hid behind the pomegranate tree and she knocked on the door. Very soon a big, fat, ugly maid dropped out of the tree and landed right next to Tear. The maid had a face of a cave man and had blonde pigtails. "Do you want to be a maid, too?" the maid asked Tear. "Y-yes. Of course," Tear said. Then Maximilian came and opened the door from inside. With him were a few strange and ugly-looking maids. "Welcome to my humble abode, new maid," Maximilian said to Tear. He looked at her and called her ugly. "Ugly?" Tear said with disbelief and slight rage. "Yep. Bye, ugly," Maximilian said, smiling. The maids laughed. Tear got angry and pulled out her staff. Then the big maid grabbed Tear with her massive fingers covering her mouth. I ran out from behind the tree. Then the big maid grabbed me and threw me and Tear back to the front entrance where the rest of my party was. Luke got angry. He grabbed Mieu, knocked on the front door, and Maximilian answered the door. Luke held Mieu up to Maximilian's face and Mieu shot fire right into the dwarf's face. Maximilian fell backwards. "Come on, everybody! Hurry!" Luke called to my party. Everyone, including me, ran inside and trampled Maximilian. I bet Regal must of seriously injured Maximilian because Regal was wearing greaves. Ouch! After everyone was inside, we saw bruises all over Maximilian, especially on his face. They began to heal on their own. What a creepy sight! He got up, started floating, and chased my party down into an underground dungeon. We soon lost him. The dungeon was just like a jail and a sewer mixed together. We soon found two people in one cell. One of them was a pale elf and the other one was a dima elf. The pale elf looked like an elderly version of Ryo except the old elf had grey hair with a braided ponytail. The dima elf looked a bit younger than the elderly elf. "Grandpa," Ryo cried. "Father," Entari cried. The dima elf (I assumed was Entari's father) looked timid. Regal noticed how shy the dima elf looked. Lloyd picked the lock on the cell. The elves thanked us for finding them and they introduced themselves. Ryo's grandfather (the elderly elf) was Mohammed and Entari's father was Ivan. Ivan was the timid one. Mohammed was holding the statue of the cat goddess Bastet that we were looking for. I was starting to wonder if there were anymore prisoners we have to free. "If there are anymore prisoners, we'll free you! Can you hear me?! Shout if you can!" I shouted. No one answered. The elves told us that they were locked up for protecting Manu's grave. We explored the dungeon until I got tired. I sat down with my back against the wall. "Phew. My feet are killing me," I said with exhaustion. "Kaede. If we just sit here, Maximilian will eventually find us," Jade said. "What?!" I said. Suddenly, two ghostly hands grabbed me from behind. I got scared. Sheena used her card-like weapons to cut the hands off of the wall. I got up and pulled the hands off of me. I threw them on the ground and they disappeared. Then Maximilian came out of the wall face first. "Ha ha ha! I've found you!" he said. Then he summoned a creature. A bha. A bha is a human headed bird in ancient Egyptian mythology. It was also ghost-like. Then Sheena summoned a four-armed man with a sword in each hand. Manu's spirit appeared right next to me. "They're going to have a summon spirit battle," Manu said. "Origin, let's save a child's grave," Sheena said to the man she summoned. "Destroy them, Bha!" Maximilian shouted to the giant bha. We fought Maximilian and Bha until they were defeated. Maximilian was unconscious and Bha was lying down on its side with defeat. "You have defeated me, mortals," Ba said. Then Tenebrae came up to Bha. "You must not trust Maximilian," said Tenebrae. "Why not?" Bha asked Tenebrae. "I heard that he wants to destroy a child's grave," Tenebrae said. "Come join us," Sheena said. "Will do," Bha said, turning into sparks of magic, dancing into Sheena's hand. Then Maximilian woke up with rage and flew up to the ceiling. "I'll destroy that little brat's grave myself!" Maximilian shouted and flew through the ceiling. "A ghost demon," Entari said. "We must follow him! Hurry!" Ryo cried. When we reached outside to the front where we found Manu's grave and Maximilian trying to destroy it. Maximilian's hands turned into a huge hammer. He was trying to smash the obelisk tombstone! "Not so fast!" Colette cried, throwing one of her chakrams, cutting Maximilian's ghostly hammer off. "How dare you!" Maximilian cried to Colette. "It could be a bad sin to vandalize anyone's grave and to disrespect the dead," Ryo cried. Soon I noticed something. Not only was he a ghost demon. I think ghost demons keep their souls in statues. Some ancient Egyptians might have kept their souls in statues, too, even though they're not ghost demons. Ancient Egyptians believe that the soul can't live without a body. That's why they mummified bodies. I found a coffin and opened it. In there was a mummified dwarf. Maximilian was undead! The mummy came to life and started attacking me. Manu's spirit came next to me. "That's Maximilian's mummified body! We have to destroy its heart and the statue of Maximilian," Manu cried. I pulled out my machete and stabbed the mummy in its heart. I pulled my knife out of the mummified corpse and out came the heart. It wasn't beating. I stomped on it and it crunched into pieces. The mummy turned into dust. Soon Maximilian saw what I did and he began to crumble. "Damn you, girl. You'll pay for this!" Maximillian said, flying towards me. I ran and crashed into Colette, knocking her over. We fell and she hit the statue with her hands, knocking it over and smashing it into pieces. "What the!? NOOOOOOO!" Maximilian screamed as he turned to dust. "His soul must have been in the statue and the mummified body," Entari said. "That's weird," Zelos said. "We did it! We saved Manu's grave!" Ryo cried with such joy. He hugged me and Colette. She blushed and I was a bit uncomfortable that I partly destroyed another demon and someone undead. Manu's spirit was happy, too. I mean overjoyed. Then when we got back onto the Albiore II, I heard the pharaoh's voice again. "The next treasure is the alabaster lotus. It's located in the nearby ruins of Koraro village in Ethiopia. You should go to the Hysko camp near Koraro village first. I've noticed that Hyenas have been attacking the village," King Tutankhamen said. Raine was excited to go to the ruins.
