Ch 11 Getting Help

"Dad!" Kion cried out, embracing Simba. "Kiara! What are you guys doing here?!" Kion embraced his sister as well.

"We're here to help son," Simba informed his son.

"And we brought more help," Kiara said, nodding towards Nala and Kovu, who were standing off to the side. Kion smiled and embraced his mother and gave his brother-in-law a nod.

"Well I appreciate the help," Kion said. "But whose running the Kingdom while you guys are gone?"

"Vitani and her Guard are handling things while we're gone," Kovu informed his brother-in-law. Kion was about to speak when they heard squeals behind them.

"Grandma!" Naya cried out as she and Malkia raced towards their grandparents followed closely by Rani. "Grandpa! You're here!" Naya and Malkia embraced their grandparents.

"Its good to see you both," Simba said, licking his granddaughter's heads.

"Yes and I'm certainly glad you're home safe and sound Malkia," Nala said, nuzzling her granddaughter.

"Me too," Malkia said softly. "It was scary in that cave. And that leopard was so mean." Malkia shuddered as she remembered her time in the cave.

"Well the important thing is you're safe," Kiara said, nuzzling her niece. "And you won't have to worry about that mean old leopard."

"Yeah we'll see to it that he never hurts you or anyone else again," Kovu said, a determined look on his face.

"Did you bring Maalum with you?" Naya asked, looking around for her older cousin.

"Not this time honey," Kiara said. "He's only five months old. Its to dangerous for him to come."

"We'll bring him next time," Kovu promised after seeing the disappointed looks on his nieces' faces.

"In the mean time why don't we take a walk down to the river?" Nala suggested. "That way we can catch up." This earned cheers from the young Princesses and they left with their grandmother so the other adults could talk.

"Alright then," Kion said after the girls were gone. "Here's what's been going on." With that the golden King explained to his family what had happened over the last couple of weeks.

"Damn that Jiona," Simba growled, his amber eyes filled with anger. "He's ten times worse than Makucha ever was."

"Tell me about it," Kion muttered, shaking his head.

"Well you guys don't need to worry," Kovu said. "Now that we're here we'll get that son of a bitch."

"Thanks we really appreciate it," Rani said with a smile.

"We know how hard it is when you're so young and have so much responsibility," Kiara said, smiling back at her sister-in-law. "Especially when your own young one goes missing. I can't even imagine how terrified you both must have been."

"Yeah it was pretty scary," Kion admitted. "But thankfully we got her back safe and sound." Just then the group heard someone clear their throat behind them. Kion turned and saw Aalas and Ponch standing there.

"Forgive us Kion," Aalas said. "We didn't realize you had guests. But we have important information for you."

"Its alright Aalas," Kion said with a smile. "This is my father: Simba and my sister: Kiara and her mate Kovu. Guys this is Aalas and Ponch. They've been helping me track down Jiona and his thugs."

"Its nice to meet you," Simba said with a smile.

"Wow King Simba of the Pride Lands," Ponch said, his brown eyes wide with awe. "You're a legend around here! My father told me stories of when he lived in the Pride Lands and how awesome you are! Its an honor to meet you Your Highness. And of course you too You Majesties." Ponch bowed to the three lions when he said this part.

"I thank you for your kind words Ponch," Simba said with a smile. "And please call me Simba."

"Yeah," Kiara said with a giggle. "We're not in the Pride Lands. There's no need for formalities."

"Whatever you say Kiara," Ponch said with a laugh.

"Oh Ponch stop acting like a fool," Aalas said, rolling his black eyes. "Its quite embarrassing."

"Shut up Aalas," Ponch growled, glaring at the sloth bear.

"So you guys said you have information for us," Kion asked, not wanting a fight to break out.

"Yes," Aalas said, clearing his throat. "Sorry about that. But its really Lamba that gave us the information. Betee told her that when she was playing she came across a pair of leopards. One of them was a male and the other was a snow leopard. They were discussing plans to attack tomorrow at dawn."

"Damn that Jiona," Kion growled, his amber eyes stormy.

"It gets worse I'm afraid," Aalas said. "It seams that Jiona has recruited some strong allies."

"Yeah it seam Gainda and his heard have joined Jiona's cause," Ponch said.

"I sware that rhino is always causing trouble," Rani said, shaking her head. "Even when he was younger he was causing trouble."

"Well we have plenty of allies ourselves," Kion said. "I'm sure Hath and him family would be more than willing to help."

"I'll send Ono to ask," Rani said, dashing inside the Tree to fetch the egret. Moments later Ono came flying out of the Tree to fetch the elephant leader.

"Aright now that that's settled we still have some things to discuss," Kion said.

"I think we get the jest Kion," Kovu said, sounding a bit irritated. "In case you didn't notice we've just made a day's long travel and that wares a lion out."

"Kovu!" Kiara snapped, glaring at her mate. "Don't talk to Kion like that!"

"Yes Kovu that was rather rude," Simba chimed in.

"Look I didn't mean to sound rude," Kovu said defensively. "I sware I didn't. I'm just tired and cranky."

"Its alright Kovu," Kion said with a slight smile. "And of course you need to rest."

"Please come inside," Rani said, motioning with her head.

"I'll go find the girls and relieve my mom," Kion said, heading off in the direction where his mother and daughters had gone.

Meanwhile Nala was having a good time catching up with her granddaughters. By now they were joined by Haraka and Ngavu. Bunga and Binga were also there to keep an eye on the kids. "I'm so glad we can catch up like this Nala," Binga was saying.

"Yes I agree," Nala said with a nod. "This is nice just relaxing." Just then they heard a loud shriek. Whipping their heads towards the shriek the adults saw Naya and Haraka looking with wide eyes as a King Cobra snake slithered around them. The other cubs were off to the side, to terrified to move.

"Zahar what the Hell are you doing?!" Binga shouted, running over towards the snake. "You're going to be in major trouble!" But just then a female King cobra slithered out and surrounded Malkia and Ngavu.

"Don't make any sudden moves," Zahar hissed. "Or else me and Kaatana will kill the brats."

"Oh who are we kidding," Kaatana hissed, her yellow eyes gleaming. "We're going to kill them anyways."

"Touch our kids and you're gonna regret it!" Bunga shouted, his black eyes filled with anger.

"That's enough out of you," Kaatana hissed and she struck. Bunga let out a cry and dodged to the side. But he wasn't quick enough and one of Kaatana's fangs got him in his foot and he fell to the ground with a thud and didn't get back up.

"Bunga!" Binga and Nala cried out, their eyes wide with horror.

"Dad!" Haraka and Ngavu cried out at the same time. Naya and Malkia just stared with wide eyes, both Princesses too terrified to make a sound.

"That's one pest taken care of," Kaatana hissed.

"Now we take care of the other pests," Zahar hissed as he and his mate slithered around Binga and Nala. The cobras rose up and bared the fangs and struck.
