Davis, the Digi-heroes and their allies all looked up in shock and horror at the new form of Quartzmon, the twisted Digimon continuing to stare down menacingly at his foes, with many of the humans, Digimon and Appmon now trying to flee Primary City as those heroes that were fighting outside the city limits tried to reach their friends close to the monstrosity.
"We need to hurry, Shoutmon. We're not sitting this one out this time!" Mikey declared from Shoutmon X7's right shoulder as they flew to meet with their allies, not wanting to just sit back the last time they fought Quartzmon.
Looking to his side, Shoutmon X7 saw Zephyrmon, Beetlemon, and the other Legendary Warriors shoot past him, each glowing in an orb of light, a sight Aldamon saw too, knowing that they were all thinking the same thing.
"Ancient Spirit Evolution!" The Ten Legendary Warriors called as one, with Ranamon, Mercurymon, Arbormon and Gigasmon transforming their physical bodies into streams of pure energy and lending their power to Takuya and his teammates.
With the ten elements combined, the ten streams of light formed into one, forming a familiar and powerful force, Susannomon, who bellowed out loudly, expressing the power of all ten. "Susannomon!"
"We can't hold back either, Guilmon!" Takato said through Gallantmon, his words causing Guilmon to nod from with the Biomerged form, before both Tamer and Digimon closed their eyes and focused, channeling the energies needed to achieve their alternate form.
His armour shining with a powerful red light, Gallantmon remained flying above the others as the red light around him intensified and altered his armour and his appearance, soon appearing in his Crimson Mode as he swung his blades around, ready to lend his strength in the battle to come.
Impressed a little to see the power his friends had displayed, keeping a tight hold on his Digivice, Marcus looked toward his partner, ready to add their own power.
"You too, ShineGreymon!" He called as he gathered a great mass of amber energy into his hand, placing it over his Digivice as it began to glow, along with his partner.
Allowing the amber light to circle around his being, from the power and the bond he felt with Marcus, ShineGreymon conjured up his blade and shield, both items set in a mighty blaze, which was followed by his wings as he bellowed with might. "ShineGreymon Burst Mode!"
Despite the growing number of allies, Davis gave a glare as dark torso on the top of Quartzmon: Destroyer Mode's head gave off a dark laugh, looking down at the heroes as he said. "You can all change your appearances and dress up as much as you like. It doesn't matter how many of you there are, or what powers you might possess, you will all fall before me!"
The head of Quartzmon: DM the let out a dark roar as a terrible energy began coursing through its being, shooting off in the form of black lightning, causing the heroes to move and dodge as the attack surged off of the monstrosity, literally tearing the ground beneath them apart and causing those below to take cover, less they get annihilated in the onslaught.
"Don't let him intimidate you! We can take him!" Davis called out as he gathered energy into his hands, unleashing streams of light energy as he flew around Quartzmon: DM, causing the beast to let out cries of pain and anger, despite its wounds healing quickly.
"Davis is right, so don't hold back!" Shadowknight declared as he flew at the warped Digimon, dodging the bolts of dark lightning as he swung his blades at Quartzmon: DM's form, cutting through parts of his body, which quickly healed due to the Digi-Quartz energy within it, but showing the others that he could be hurt.
Following in Davis and Shadowknight's example, the others moved in, all striking as best they could.

"Royal Saber!"
"Heaven's Thunder!"
"Glorious Burst!"
"Fusion Flamethrower!"
"Prism Gallet!"
"Shining Gazer!"
Adding their own unique attacks to the line, the energies struck and bombarded Quartzmon: DM, leaving the terrifying beast screeching from the impacting pain that came with the continued onslaught of attacks.
"Keep fighting!" Haru called from the sidelines. "Don't give up!"
Following Haru's lead, Globemon continued to expel the blue energies coursing through his body and out his chest plate, the action copied by the other Digimon, who continued to put more and more power into their attacks.
Even Marcus contributed as he leapt from off ShineGreymon: BM, reeled his arm back and delivered a great blow to Quartzmon: DM, before landing back down up his waiting partner's shoulder.
However, despite the attacks continuing to overpower and tear away at his being, from atop Quartzmon: DM, Dark Tagiru laughed madly, feeling the power within his corrupt form quickly repairing the damage as though it never happened, his insane cry causing the heroes to feel unnerved.
"My turn!" Dark Tagiru let out as Quartzmon: DM opened his mouth, where the heroes saw a large amount of Quartz energy building up within, causing Davis to quickly move in front of the warped Digimon, creating a massive barrier around the city as their enemy unleashed his attack, groaning against the pain as the massive energy struck his barrier, trying to hold back as parts of the area around Primary City were burnt to a crisp.
"Yes! Struggle, feel pain! I'll drag your broken body back to the Dark King and the Witch Queen, right after you watch your friends die!" Dark Tagiru let out with a continued fury as the eye on Quartzmon: DM's body began to glow, where small Quartz Portals opened up above his form, sending out blasts of dark energy that struck at the barrier as well, trying to push through it.
"We can't let that fake get in." Arresterdramon: SM said with concern for his teammates, friends and the innocent, this causing Tagiru to nod and add, calling to his friends. "Then show Quartzmon that we're all Superstars!"

"Glorious Burst!"
"Fusion Flamethrower!"

"Shining Gazer!"
The attacks, along with several others, struck at Quartzmon: DM's head, distracting him and causing him to cancel out the attacks, much to Davis' relief, where the warped Digimon looked to see all the Digi-heroes and Appli Drivers glaring at him, this causing Dark Tagiru to let out an insane laugh in reply.
"Keep struggling all you like, you'll only prolong the inevitable! There's only one Superstar here, and that's me!" Dark Tagiru let out as Quartzmon: DM let out another roar, his energy building up once again, shaking through the entirety of Primary City and putting all in concern.
Within the DATS Tower, Samspon and Yamaki had ordered an immediate evacuation, but both were frustrated as most in the command room refused to leave, especially Kari, who was flanked by Izael and the older TK as they watched the battle unfold.
"We need to evacuate, we don't know..." Sampson started to say as he approached the three, only to stop when Izael brought his hand up, telling him to stay quiet for the time being.
The gesture almost enraged the DATS Commander, who was about to snap at the Light Being, only to stop when he noticed Kari, seeing the brunette's hands together and her eyes closed, before noticing her entire being glowing with a faint light, a sight Sora saw as well as she approached her young friend, not seeing her own Digivice glow faintly in the process.
Back on the battlefield, Tagiru was reaching his limit with his counterpart, clenching his Digivice as he stood up and glared up at his double, who noticed him, looking down at the brunette with a dark chuckle.
"What? You're going to give another speech about goodness and kindness? Or perhaps give some stupid remark about how you're a S uperstar? Face it, in the end, you're nothing but an insect, dust drifting in the wind. No one's going to remember you, a weak, pathetic nobody. Just give it up already so I can end your pathetic existence!" The Dark Tagiru let out with an insane look as Quartzmon: DM turned its head towards the other Tagiru, making him the target of his next attack.
"You're wrong about me... about everything..." Tagiru said back, his words intriguing Dark Tagiru a little, who decided to hold off on his counterpart's demise for the time being and to allow him to finish in his foolish ideals.
"I've already proven I'm a Superstar, there's no doubt about it, but I now fight for so much more. I fight to protect those who need protecting. I fight for my friends, for those I love..." Tagiru went on, taking a moment to look upon those away from the battlefield, though namely upon Nene, who blushed a little, especially at Tagiru's last words, before the brunette continued.
"I have gained so much, and I won't let anybody take it all away from me, not even some jerk who lost his hope!" The brunette finished, his words causing his dark counterpart to growl a little, before seeing Davis fly down next to Arresterdramon: SM.
"We acknowledged Tagiru and Gumdramon long ago, to us, they are stars in their own way, and we'll stand by them, no matter what!" Davis declared, floating beside Tagiru and looking to the brunette with a growing confidence, one shared by the rest of the heroes present.
"So take your best shot, loser, because we're gonna take you down!" Tagiru let out, just as his Digivice began to glow brightly, a sight Quartzmon: DM noticed as he let out a cry of rage.
Despite feeling the power flowing from his being and into Tagiru and Arresterdramon, both Davis and Arresterdramon: SM felt something else, like a hand on each of their shoulders, one comforting and full of light, giving them an even greater strength.
'Kari...' Davis thought happily, feeling the warmth and light of the woman he loved flowing through him, and knew that she was reaching out to him, giving him strength, where both he and Arresterdramon pulsated with energy, with Davis looking the same in his ascended form, while Arrersterdramon began to change as a familiar Digi-Egg appeared on Tagiru's Digivice, followed alongside the Crests of Miracles and of Light.
His Digivice drawn, Tagiru looked on, seeing the projection of Quartzmon's Digi-Egg, which surprised him at first, but looking upon the Digi-Egg, feeling its power, and feeling no darkness, no manipulative energies, no evil residing within it, the brunette knew what he had to do, knowing he could now count on Quartzmon's power, not to consume them, but to help them win this fight.
When the light around Arresterdramon faded, everyone present looked in shock to see that Arresterdramon had taken a new form, with very familiar features.
Losing the initial form he held in his Superior Mode, Arresterdramon remained just as fearsome, having his red and purple patterned armour replaced by pitch black shoulderplates, chest piece and armoured leggings, which held red rings around his wrists and ankles, a familiar green energy through various cables attached to the armour circulated through his form.
As this new Arresterdramon gave another roar to the power now fusing with him, taking note of the dark red energy and how it spread out from his back as to form a set of wings, alongside his tail now losing its anchor-like appearance and transforming to a minute hand shape, save for Tagiru and Davis, the others were left in shock and surprise as they took in the sight of Arresterdramon's Digi-Fused form.
"Arresterdramon: Quartz Mode!" Arresterdramon: QM let out with a growing might as a burst of energy spread out for the newly Digi-Fused Digimon, while Quartzmon: DM let out a rage filled roar at what he was now up against.
"One is consumed by Quartzmon's power, the other has purified and commands it." Izael said with a smile as those in the command room looked in upon the monitors in clear shock at seeing the newly formed Digimon, as well as the glaring difference between him and his foe.
Even Kari, who had opened her eyes, the glow around her fading, felt herself in awe to the the sight displayed before her.
"You think you're better than me?! I'll crush you all!" Dark Tagiru let out in pure rage, a feeling Quartzmon: DM shared as the energy gathering in his mouth increased, along with hundreds of Quartz portals opening, ready to unleash their firepower.
"Particle Prism Blast!" Arresterdramon: QM yelled in reply as he swung his tail forward, allowing the minute hand blade to gather with the very power of the Digi-Quartz and fire it off, releasing all the power as a concentrated laser attack, which struck at the energy in Quartzmon: DM's mouth, setting off an explosion that torn part of the creature's jaw off, canceling out the attacks, while the warped Digimon's body began to crack in various areas as it cried out in pain.
"Particle Barrage!" Arresterdramon: QM then shouted, continuing his assault as streams of green energy orbs fired from his hands as he flew around Quartzmon: DM, the Digi-Quartz energy he was immitting countering that of the warped Digimon's, causing it to cry out more as its body wasn't healing right.
"Damn you... Damn you all!" Dark Tagiru let out in rage, pushing through the pain inflicted by Arresterdramon: QM, but the heroes weren't about to let him have a chance to recover, and attacked once again.
"Supreme Cannon!"
"Positron Laser!"
"Royal Saber!"
"Heaven's Thunder!"
"Glorious Burst!"
"Fusion Flamethrower!"
"Prism Gallet!"
"Shining Gazer!"
These attacks, combined with attacks from the rest of their allies, friends, Digimon and appmon alike, struck at various parts of Quartzmon: DM's form, causing the wrapped Digimon to scream in pain as the cracks grew all over his form.
"Arresterdramon, now!" Davis called with might as he brought both of his swords over his head, where they turned into pure light, forming into a single blade pointing to the sky.
"You've got it!" Arresterdramon: QM let out in reply, flying towards Davis as he brought up his hands, transferring the Quartz energy into Davis' blade, which grew in size, causing Dark Tagiru to look upon Davis was rage filled eyes, followed by a an equally rage filled cry, to which Quartzmon: DM turned his focus upon the Ascended warrior.
However, it was too late for the warped Digimon to do anything as, with a great cry, Davis swung the blade, cutting through the entirety of Quartzmon: DM's form, the Digimon's body cracking up entirely as it exploded in a flash of light, with Dark Tagiru giving off a great cry as the light consumed his form.
When the light faded, save for the damage their foe had done beforehand, Primary City remained unharmed, while the remnants of Quartzmon: DM dissolved into Data particles, the sight of which caused everyone to cheer and cry out in joy as they let out sighs of relief.
They had won.
Their enemy had thrown a massive invasion force at them, along with a powerful, mad foe, and they had won.
Within the command room, most of the group were cheering and celebrating, while Kari let out a sigh of relief, a sight that caused Sora, Izael and the older TK to smile.
All over, most of the Digimon and Appmon landed on the streets of Primary City, reverting back to their normal forms as they rushed to their partners and friends, each hugging and celebrating with their friends over their victory.
Azumi, so caught up in the excitement, actually jumped and wrapped her arms around Henry, who blushed madly at the closeness.
But calming down a little and realizing her position, Azumi opened her eyes and blushed brightly as she realized what she had done, before quickly removing her arms as both teens refused to look at one another, too embarrassed at what had just occurred, while Terriermon, Pulsemon and even Suzie watched with smirks.
However, the mood was cut short when everyone saw Davis, still in his ascended form, along with Shadowknight, Arresterdramon: QM and Tagiru looking down into a small crater before them with serious expressions on their faces, and when the others looked down, they could see why.
Struggling to get up was the black torso that was Dark Tagiru, growling as he tried to move, despite having no legs, while trying to crawl away from his enemies through his pain.
"What should we do with him?" Arresterdramon: QM questioned as he looked at the dark double of his partner.
"I say finish him off, less he causes more trouble." Shadowknight stated, his words causing the others to look at him, where the alternate Takato shrugged and added. "But that's just my thoughts."
"We would be no better than them if we did that. He deserves to face justice for his crime." Davis then suggested, getting nods from the others as Tagiru said. "Yeah, he should be locked up. Plus, he could give us info we might need."
Dark Tagiru growled at hearing his enemies talking, angry beyond anything that he lost as he tried to crawl away, before stopping as dark portal opened up in front of him, causing him to look up in fear, while the others either backed up or got on guard as the Witch Queen exited the portal, BlackGatomon sitting upon her shoulder with a grin as the dark double of Kari looked down at her failed servant.
"Looks like you're a loser after all, and our King doesn't like failures." The Dark Kari said with a smirk, before gaining a serious expression as she added. "Nor do I."
Fear ran through Dark Tagiru's broken form, where he tried to explain himself, only for the Witch Queen to bring her right hand up as dark energy gathered within it, unleashing it in a powerful blast that consumed Tagiru's double, who screamed in pain and agony as he dissolved before the heroes' eyes, much to their shock and horror.
"Until next time." The Dark Kari then said with a sickly sweet smile as she and BlackGatomon traversed back through the portal, which closed behind them as Davis growled lightly, not only at seeing the cruelty of this alternate version of his love, but her underline message.
They had won the battle, but the war was far from over.
