Early the next morning, I decided that I wanted to take a Job, so I went upstairs to check out the S-Class quests. I approached the board and my eyes widened. I sprinted down the stairs. "Master!" I called frantically. "One of the S-Clas Quests is gone! It's been ripped off the board!" Master Makarov spat out his drink as the Guild went silent.
"Say what?" Wakaba questioned. "One of the jobs from the second floor is missing?"
"But the jobs up there are S-Class Quests." Macao added. "Anyone know who took off with it."
"I was planning on taking one but I only made that decision this morning." I told them. "Erza's gone out to run errands, she told me yesterday, Mystogan took a regular request when he came in and Laxus is right there." I jabbed my thumb up at the brooding blonde on the second floor. "It had to have been stolen, whoever did it is as dumb as they can get."
"I know." Laxus drawled from the top floor. "A little blue cat flew up here and ripped it off the board."
"It was Happy?" Mira asked.
"He must have stolen it for Natsu and Lucy!" Wakaba realised. My heart stopped. Lucy? She was on that quest?
"That's crazy, what are they thinking!" Macao exclaimed.
"They've got some nerve taking on an S-Class Quest." Alzack commented.
"I don't know if I'd call it nerve, but it's definitely dumb." Bisca countered.
"That's a serious breach of the rules." Laxus stated. "Hey Gramps, a stunt like that'll get you kicked out of the Guild, am I right? Not that it matters. It's not like those three losers are gonna make it back alive from an S-Class Quest."
"If you knew who stole it then why the hell didn't you stop them?" I growled, storming up to Laxus, who lazed around in his chair.
"Oh, lighten up. All I saw was a blue cat flying off with a piece of paper in it's mouth, trying to act all sneaky. I had no idea it was Happy. Besides, Natsu's not cleared for S-Class. I never dreamed he'd break the rules." I glared harshly at him, almost snarling at him. "I haven't seen you ticked off about anything like this since we were kids…"
"This isn't good." Master Makarov muttered. "Well, which job was it?" I turned to look down at Master Makarov.
"They took the job to lift the curse on Galuna Island." I told him.
"What?!"
"Galuna Island?" Macao and Wakaba exclaimed.
'Are they insane!?" Laki demanded.
"They're even dumber than we thought!" Bisca and Alzack added.
"Laxus! Go and fetch them at once!" Master ordered.
"Yeah right." Laxus scoffed. "I got better things to do Gramps. And besides, everybody in Fairy Tail is supposed to be able to take care of themselves, right?"
"Fine then! Yami!" I turned to Master Makarov. "Go get them! Bring them back! By force if you have to!" I nodded.
"I'm coming with you." Gray stated.
"Fine." I spat at him, storming past him and out of the guild. "I just need to get Lucy back. Master! Put it down that if I don't come back I'm completing the mission, one less S-Class Quest in the world, the better. When Erza gets back send her our way because we're gonna need all the help we can get."

After gathering everything we needed for the tip, Gray and I followed my nose to find the trio. We came upon them in Hargeon, waiting at the docks for someone. Gray put his hands on their shoulders. "We found you~" He sung. The two wailed.
"It's Gray and Yami!" Lucy gasped.
"What are you doing here?" Natsu demanded.
"Master Makarov found out about the S-Class Quest." I informed them. I walked up to Lucy, gazing at her sadly. "Lucy, if you wanted to go on one you could have just asked. I would have let you tag along." Lucy looked down.
"Master sent us along to brig you back." Gray added.
"Why, we're not in any danger yet!" Natsu protested.
"If you come back now you might avoid being kicked out of the Guild. Maybe."
"Kicked out?" Lucy wondered.
"I don't care, I'm going on this S-Class Quest." Natsu stated.
"Natsu, you don't even know what is on that Island!" I told him, un-crossing my arms. "It's dangerous, you need to come home, now, it's not safe. Don't get me started on what's gonna happen if Erza finds out what you did."
"Please Gray, you've got to save me." Happy pleaded, flying over to the black-haired man and hiding behind him. "I told them this was a bad idea but they forced me to come along!"
"You are such a liar!" Lucy accused.
"I've got to prove my power to Erza, so like it or not, I'm doing this!" Natsu stated.
"Master ordered Yami and I to bring you home!" Gray retorted. "I'll drag you back to Fairy Tail if I have to." Gray's hand became encased in ice. "Don't make me hurt you buddy!"
"I'd like to see you try!" Natsu's fist was encased in crimson flames.
"Excuse me?" A voice asked. I turned to see a man wearing a bandanna. "But are you Wizards? Have you come to lift the curse on the Island?"
"Yeah!"
"Well, maybe." Lucy said.
"That depends on him." I pointed at Gray.
"Not gonna happen!" Gray stated.
"Get in." The man said.
"What?" Lucy questioned.
"Seriously?" Natsu asked.
"No way!" Gray shouted. Natsu then kicked Gray in the back of the head, rending him unconscious.
"There we go, we're ready when you are sir."
"You sure we should bring him with us?" Lucy asked.
"We can't let him go back and tell the Guild. 'Cause the next person they'll send is Erza!"
"Don't worry about the Guild, you're fine with them." I sighed, crossing my arms. "I'm coming with you too, only to stop you idiots from doing something that would put Lucy in danger."

"Ok, now I'm starting to get scared." Lucy admitted. We were on a bot to Galuna Island. Natsu was hanging out the side of the boat to make sure he didn't puke on anyone, and Gray was tied up to make sure he didn't escape. Lucy and I were seated next to each other, the smaller blonde curled into my side.
"Well look on the bright side, at leat you're not tied up." Gray retored. "THis is your fault too buddy!" Gray directed the last line at the boat man who was taking us to the Island. "Why'd you decide to let us on?"
"The name is Bobo." The man introduced. "And if you must know, I used to be a citizen of Galuna Island. But I had to flee. I just couldn't take it anymore. I should warn you, tragedy befalls anyone who steps foot on the Island. There's no avoiding it, that is, unless you're able to lift the curse." Bobo took his cloak off to revel a demonic appendage. "This vile demon's curse."
"Woah, your arm, what happened to it?"
"Is that the curse?" Lucy wondered, pressing closer to me. Bobo didn't respond, but turned to gaze at the distance.
"We're almost there. That's Galuna Island." I turned to look into the distance, a dark island with a single light glowing overhead.
"That's strange." I muttered. "Why is the mountain glowing?"
"What the?!" Lucy exclaimed. "Where'd he go!?" I turned back and saw that Bobo was missing.
"Did he fall out?" Gray wondered.
"It's like he disappeared into thin air!" Happy said.
"Whats that sound?" Lucy asked.
"Uh, Lucy? Yami?" Gray said shakily. A shadow covered us.
"AH! Tsunami!" I shot forward, my arms wraping around Lucy protectively as the wave crashed over us.

I woke up on the sandy shores of a beach. It was sunny, and I squinted my eyes open. I was curled around a body, and when my eyes had adjusted to the light, I saw that it was Lucy. I sighed in releif, she was ok. After waking up, we all gathered together. I stuck close with Lucy the entire time.
"Looks like we made it you guys!" Natsu cheered.
"We're lucky that wave washed us ashore." Lucy said.
"Well, I don't knot if I would call it lucky." Gray retorted.
"I can't help but wonder what happened to te guy who brought us here. Right after he told us about the curse, he vanished."
"Forget about that stuff for now, and let's go exploring!" Natsu shouted.
"NO!" I barked at him. "We've only been on this island for less than thirty seconds, we don't know how dangerous this place is."
"Apparently there's only one village on the entire Island." Lucy reported. "The Village Cheif is the one who originally put in the request. So I guess we need to try and find him."
"Not so fast." Gray spoke up.
"Give it up, Gray, you can't take us back to the Guild now that our boat's been destroyed." Natsu said.
"You're right, I'm coming with you. There's no way I'm gonna let the two of you clowns make S-Class before I do. And if you were kicked out, the Guild would be pretty boring. Gramps will be upset, but if we pull this off with Yui with us, he won't stay mad at us for long."
"What about you, Yami?" Lucy questioned, turning to me.
"I already told you, I'm only here to keep you safe." I told her. "I don't care what happens to these two idiots, but you're my number one priority." Lucy's cheeks turned pink.
TIMESKIP
It took us almost the entire day to find the village. The large gate making me frown. This large of a gate? We hadnt encountered a single Monster yet. "Well, we found the Village, now what?" Gray asked.
"Check out the gate." Natsu commented. "When they say keep out, they mean it."
"Anyone home?" Lucy called. "We came here to help you?"
"Who goes there?" A familiar voice called out.
"We're Wizards from Fairy Tail responding to you're request!"
"Why weren't we notified when you accepted the job?"
"Sorry, it was probably just a mix-up with the paperwork." Gray covered.
"Then let me see your emblems, right now!" Lucy lifted her hand, Happy moved his backpack out of the way, Natsu showed his shoulder, Gray lifted his shirt to show their Guild Marks. I shed my jacket, and unbuttoned my shirt to leave me in just my training bra. I showed my black Guild Mark located on my shoulder. I saw Lucy glance at me as I shrugged my shirt back on and buttoned it up.
"They're here!" The guards gasped. "They're really here!" The gate was lifted, and I glared into the village.
"It's like we're walking into a giant monster's mouth." Happy commented.
"Don't jinx it." I muttered to him as we entered the village.
"I'm Moka, the Village Cheif." A man holding a stick introduced. "On behalf of everyone here, I welcome you. Pleasantries aside, there is something you need to see. Now, my people." The people of the village then removed their cloaks. Each had some form of demon appendage. Some people's legs were different, some people arms, others had horns and one or two had a single wing and some even had beaks.
"It's just like what happened to the boat guy." Gray realised.
"Oh wow, you're sideburns!" Natsu exclaimed.
"Not that. I was trying to show you what's happened to my arm." Moka said. "Everyone on the Island has suffered horrible disfigurement because of this curse. Not even the animals have been spared."
"That's new." I commented.
"Please excuse me for asking, but what makes you think it's a curse, sir?" Gray asked. "It could be some kind of infectious disease."
"We've consulted with dozens of doctors, young man, but they all agree that no such disease exists. You see, our symptoms began around the same time the Moon fell under an evil spell."
"What kind of spell?" Lucy wondered.
"Since ancient times, this Island has absorbed the light of the moon causing it to glow almost as beautifully as the moon itself. However, several years ago, the moon's colour began to change, and an eerie purple glow was cast upon the Island."
"So the moon turned purple?" Natsu clarified.
"It's coming out from behind the clouds!" Happy said. I looked up, and sure enough, the moon was indeed purple.
"Stand back, the change is about to begin!" Moka said. He and his village groaned, and their appearance changed rapidly.
"They're changing!" Gray said.
"Yeah, we can see that genius!" I snapped at him.
"Why is this happening to them?" Natsu asked.
"I'm sorry if our appearance frightens you." Moka apologised. He and his entire village had turned into demons.
"It's ok." Gray said,. "I'm just completely confused."
"You poor people." Lucy sympathised.
"Oh man...you guys look so cool!" Natsu exclaimed. "It's awesome! You've got horns and stuff! I'm so jealous!"
"He thinks we look cool?" Someone muttered.
"No one's ever said that before." Another added.
"Natsu, you're being insensitive!" Lucy scolded. "They don't wanna look like this!"
"Seriously? Huh, my bad." Natsu apologised. "Then I guess we should help them out."
"That is why we're here." Happy said.
"Anyway, as you've witnessed, whenever the Purple Moon shows it's face in the sky, everyone in the village takes on a horrific demon form." Moka said. "If it isn't a curse, then what else could it possibly be?! We'll return to normal once the morning comes and the sun has risen. However, there are some poor souls who can no longer switch back to their human forms for they have lost their minds."
"How sad…" Lucy whispered.
"The fate for them, these unfortunate souls in the grip of madness, we've no choice but to put them to death."
"But they might change back to normal someday!" Natsu stated.
"If we wait for that to happen, the monsters will surely kill us all. We've tried capturing them but they always broke free. It's no use. Once it takes hold, there's no way to save them. I should know. I was forced to kill my very own son."
"That's the guy from the boat!" Lucy exclaimed, recognising the photo that Moka held. Bobo… "But we just saw him yesterday-"
"Shh!" Gray hissed at her. "Now I understand why he disappeared on us like that. He's dead, but his soul can't rest in peace."
"A ghost…"
"Please lift the evil curse from our Island." Moka begged, bowing his head. "If this goes on much longer we may all fall victim to it. We'll die."
"We're not gonna let that happen." Natsu declared. "We can fix this, I promise you."
"There's only one way this wretched curse can be lifted. The moon. The moon must be wiped from the sky!"
TIMESKIP
Moka had let us use one of the abandoned huts for us to stay in for the night. Happy was gazing out the window while Lucy and I prepared for bed and the boys were doing who knows what. "I never knew the moon could be so creepy." Happy commented.
"Hurry up and close the window!" Lucy complained. "You heard what the Cheif said, we gotta stay out of the moonlight." I stood and walked over to the feline, closing the window so quick Happy let out a shreiek in surprise and yanked his hands pwas back.
"Unlike you, I like my form." I told him. "So unless you want to be a demon cat, then you should close this thing and leave it closed all night."
"I'm not so sure about this job, guys." Natsu said.
"Do these people really think we can destroy the moon?" Gray wondered.
"I wonder how many punches it'll take. You think I can handle it?"
"Even if we were to destroy the moon, which we aren't, there's no Wizard alive with that much power." I said. "I doubt even Master or Guildarts or even me have that power."
"But that's the job we were hired to do, isn't it? We can't take a job then back out 'cause that would make Fairy Tail look bad."
"What they're asking can't be done." Gray reminded him. "How do you think you're gonna get to the moon anyway?"
"With Happy."
"I don't think so." Happy said.
"Ok, we can't destroy the moon." Lucy stated. "But if we do some investigating, we might be able to find a different way to lift the curse from the Island."
"You kids can do what you want, but after the day I've had, I need some shut-eye." Gray announced, stripping down to his boxers.
"Please don't take off anymore…"
"Ok, our investigation starts tomorrow morning." Natsu decided. "I'm hitting the sack."
"Me too!" Happy cheered.
"Sounds like a plan to me." Gray agreed.
"You ready for bed Luce?" I asked, settling into my bed, next to hers.
"Yeah." Lucy muttered. "Goodnight you guys." She laid down in her own bed.

The next morning, after having woken up with Lucy curled into my side for an unknown reason, we all got ready for our first day of the investigation. "It's so early!" Natsu complained.
"Yeah, I'm never up at this time." Gray yawned.
"You two kept me up all night and I'm not complaining." Lucy stated. "So stop whining and let's go!"
"Aye…" The boys groaned.
"Open! Gate of the Clock constellation! Horologium!" Lucy chanted. The clock appeared before her, and the blonde promptly climbed inside.
"You really think we'll be able to find another way to lift the curse?" Natsu wondered.
"Well, we don't have much of a choice." Gray told him. "The village may think the moon's cursed but everyone else likes it. And destroying it might really mess things up."
"I'll say." I but in. "My dad told me that the moon creates the waves, without those, ships aren't able to sail, fish are stuck in their own reefs and people who night-fish are left without a job due to the lack of a tide. The sky would be pitch black and I don't know if destorying the Moon would affect the Celestial World because it needs the Moon for energy."
"Without it, salmon could go extinct!" Happy cried. "And they're my favourite fish!"
"'Would you guys keep it down? We don't know what's lurking out here so we shouldn't draw any attention.' The lady demands impatiently." Horologium repeated.
"You should walk on your own." Natsu stated.
"He's right." Gray agreed. "Do you just summon your Spirits because you're lazy?"
"'Listen, this curse is freaking me out. We have no idea what we're up against and I'm scared.' She says nervously." Horolugioum said.
"Are you kidding? This is awesome!" Natsu declared. "S-Class Quests rule!"
"Yeah, I bet I could probably freeze that stupid curse." Gray bragged.
"'You guys are idiots.' She retorts disparagingly." Horologium repeated.
"Look, just because we haven't gotten into any danger doesn't mean that this is an easy Quest." I told them. "The very first S-Class Quest I went on took an entire month!" A loud crashing was heard and the sound of massive footsteps drew near. We turned and I paled at the sight of a massive, almost thirty-foot tall rat behind us, with aqua fur and was wearing what appeared to be a maid costume.
"'What are you waiting for? Hurry up and beat it you guys!' She yells frantically."
"Ice Make Sheild!" Gray shouted. He created a shield in front of us, but that didn't stop the disgusting gas-like breath that surrounded us.
"It's a rat!" Lucy screamed. It seemed that Horologium had left.
"Come on Natsu, get up man!"
"The smell knocked him out." Happy informed. And with that, we started to run, dodging it's breath as best we could. My hand enclosed Lucy's the entire time, pulling ehr out of the way of any danger.
"Ice Make Floor!" He slammed his hands onto the ground just in front of him, and a sheet of ice spread. The Rat slipped on it and fell onto it's back.
"You should've done that in the first place." Natsu said.
"Shut up Natsu!" I looked around, and I spotted something in the distance.
"Guys, come on!" I shouted, turning to a temple. "We have to hide!" I turned heel and ran towards the temple. The others only contemplated for a second before following. We slowly walked through the temple.
"This place is massive!" Lucy gasped.
"Yeah, and it's falling apart." Natsu commented.
"I winder how old it is." Gray added.
"What are those?"
"They're moons."
"This place was called the Island of the Moon years ago." I stated, crossing my arms. "No wonder they'd have a temple dedicated to it."
"A Moon Island, and Moon curses." Lucy muttered. "And weird Moon symbols. You really got to wonder what all of it means."
"Man, this place is a wreck." Natsu commented, stomping on the floor a little bit away. "This floor doesn't even look safe to walk on."
"Well don't go stomping on it!" Lucy told him. With one fateful kick, the floor collapsed underneath us.
"Natsu you idiot!" Gray shouted. "Look what you did!" We landed at the bottom of a large hole. I groaned, pushing myself up.
"Hey! Is everyone ok?" Natsu asked.
"Lucy!" I shouted, crawling over to her. "Hey, are you alright?" Lucy groaned, but nodded.
"I'd be better if you hadn't knocked out the floor." Lucy snapped.
"Here's a thought, if you think before you act, mybe you wouldn't cause so much destruction." Gray added.
"So, can you fly us out of here Happy?"
"No, sorry." Happy apologised.
"We're underneath the temple." Gray realised.
"Wow! It's a secret cave!" Natsu cheered. "This is so cool!" He jumped up and started to run off. "Let's go check it out!"
"Would you quit running around like a crazy person?!"
"We might as well follow him." I sighed. "We don't want to loose each other in these caves." Lucy, Gray, Happy, Mizuki and I followed the path that Natsu took, and found him staring up at something.
"Natsu?" Lucy called.
"What? Something wrong?" Gray questioned.
"Hey guys, what's that?" Natsu asked. We took a couple steps forward and my eyes fell upon what Natsu had found. A large demon, encased in ice, his faced set in an angry snarl. The air in this part of the cafe was quite a bit colder than the rest.
"That's impossible...it's Deliora!" Gray approached the ice with shaky legs. "But how? How could this happen? Why is it here? What the hell is it doing on Galuna Island!?"
"Gray, are you ok?" I asked him, stepping close. "Do you know what this thing is?"
"There's no...no way."
"Gray, please, try to calm down." Lucy soothed. Gray took a shaky breath. "Now, can you tell us about it?"
"It's Deliora, the Demon of Destruction."
"Demon of Construction?" Natsu repeated.
"Destruction." Happy corrected.
"But why is it here?" Gray demanded. "It doesn't make any sense!" My ears twitched as footsteps approached.
"Guys, hide!" I hissed. I pushed my friends to hide behind a large stone sitting just a bit away.
"The voices seemed to come from down here." Someone commented. A soft growl came from beside them. I peeked over the stone to see two men, one with dog-like features and the other had crazy eyebrows. "I hate being awake during the day." Eyebrows complained. "So Toby, were you exposed to the Moon Drip." My eyes widened, and my breath caught in my throat. "You've got those pointy ears."
"I already told you!" The dog-man, Toby, exclaimed angrily. "They're a fashion statement, you jerk!"
"Lighten up, I was just teasing you."
"You don't have to be so mean about it…"
"Yuka, Toby, something terrible has happened." Someone spoke up. I watched as a pink-haired woman wandered into the cave.
"What now Sherry." Yuka, formerly known as eyebrows, asked.
"It's Angelica. She's been attacked and I'm sad."
"You're moping around 'cause somebody beat up you're stupid pet rat?!" Toby shouted.
"She's not a rat." Sherry argued. "She's a brave hunter, prowling the jungle to protect us. She is love."
"I don't know who these people are but talk about a bunch of weirdos, especially the chick with a pet rat." Lucy muttered.
"Judging by the scent I picked up off 'em they're not from the Island." Natsu informed. I sniffed the air as well.
"But they have been here for some time." I added. "But not long enough for the curse to affect them."
"Intruders, you say?" Yuka wondered.
"And it's almost time to begin collecting moonlight again." Sherry sighed. "Oh, this makes me so sad…This news would displease the Cold Emperor. We should get ri of them before he finds out. Yes, we must find them before the moon's first light."
"Agreed."
"Since they've seen Deliora, we can't allow them to live. We'll give them the gift of eternal rest. We'll give them...love!"
"You're talking about deat, right?" Toby clarified. A handful of stones clacked a little ways down the path.
"What was that?"
"Over there." Yuka said, and the trio ran off. Happy flew back over to us.
"Nice job, cat." Lucy complimented.
"That was really smart." I added.
"Come on!" Natsu protested. "We should have grabbed them and beat some answers out of them."
"Not yet, we've got to do some investigating." Lucy informed him.
"Man, this job keeps getting more and more complicated."
"Right, like who is this Cold Emperor guy?" Happy wondered.
"Deliora…" Gray muttered. "I still don't understand what anyone would want with it. And how the hell were they even able to find it?"
"Was it hidden somewhere?" Lucy asked.
"It was sealed away, inside a glacier on the northern continent. A decade ago, this immortal demon ravage Isvan. Countless people lost their lives. The woman who taught me how to use my Magic, my Master, Ur, sacrificed everything to seal it away. I don't know if it has anything to do with the curse on this island, but I do know that it doesn't belong here. This Cold Emperor, we have to find out who it is. If they tarnish my Master's legacy, they're gonna regret the day they were born!"
